Is it possible to delete a picture message on the app? I hold the puctire and the option to delete does not show up.
I also tried going on the desktop version and the remove message option is also not available.

Hiya I don't have the solution either and have exactly the same problem. There must be a way to do it. Any other site you click and delete, this one you click and laughs at you.lol

you can only delete pictures you sent within 1h after you sent them. After that there's no option to delete them.

Delete picture from a Mobile Me album in Aperture

Hi,
I just made a mobile me gallery out off the aperture interface and sync the content to mobile me. So far so good. But I was wondering if it's possible to delete pictures in the mobile me gallery in aperture. If I want to delete a picture in the gallery the picture will also be deleted in aperture, and that I don't want... I just want to change the pictures in the gallery. Off course I can delete the pictures in the mobile me web-interface, but the pictures are still in aperture-mobile-me gallery and will be back in the gallery the next time you sync the gallery I guess.

MobileMe Galleries are simply a type of album. Deleting an image from an album will not delete the image from Aperture. Simply select the image. and press the delete key. Aperture will warn you before it deletes a master, but it will remove a version from am Album without comment.

Well of course you can recover them by using iCloud, when I deleted some pictures I simply used iCloud and it recovered all of my old photos....

Deleting an email account WITHOUT deleting emails sent to it

I haven't dared try this for awhile so forgive me (and let me know) if this has been fixed in a recent upgrade of mail.
I have several email accounts in mail. I need to keep the mail sent to one of the addresses that I no longer use (because it got too much spam). Last time I tried to delete the account, every single email ever sent to that email address was deleted as well. As they are business emails I need to keep, this is VERY problematic. My messages are all neatly filed in about 60 separate project folders within mail.
So my question is - how do I keep the mail messages but delete the account?
At the end of the day I need to be able to access the mail messages again by using some kind of search function. They don't necessarily have to stay in mail but they do need to be accessible again. Is this possible?

Deleting a POP account only deletes the messages stored in the account’s mailboxes. If you move those messages to custom “On My Mac” mailboxes or to the mailboxes of another account, you won’t lose them. It’s not that Mail goes after your mail trying to delete as much as it can. It’s just that if a mail account is deleted, then its mailboxes cannot exist anymore...
And just to be clear, it’s not just the messages in Inbox that would be deleted if you delete the account. Messages in any of the other account’s mailboxes (i.e. Drafts, Sent, Trash, Junk) would also be deleted if you don’t move them to other mailboxes as well.
Alternatively, a quick and simple procedure to create a duplicate of the account’s mailbox structure as “On My Mac” mailboxes would be importing them doing File > Import Mailboxes, choosing Mail for Mac OS X as the data format, and selecting the ~/Library/Mail/POP-username@mailserver account folder.
That said, instead of deleting the account right away, you can just disable it (i.e. turn OFF Preferences > Accounts > Advanced > Enable this account), leave it that way for some time, and delete it only after making sure you didn’t miss anything while the account was disabled.
BTW, if you back up your data, and the ~/Library/Mail folder in particular, you won’t have to worry about accidentally losing anything as a result of doing something like that...
Note: For those not familiarized with the ~/ notation, it refers to the user’s home folder. That is, ~/Library is the Library folder within the user’s home folder, i.e. /Users/username/Library.

I had this same topic in the facetime thread. I was told it only works with iphone 4 to ipod touch and ipod touch to ipod touch. Think about it, all iphone 4 users 'should' have a phone number, so why give them an option to use facetime with email? iPod touch owners can't have a phone number to facetime with email is the only option. Maybe a jailbreak or future ios release will fix it. Hope this helps cause I am in the same boat as everyone else!

Recovering deleted pictures from Time capsule

I did a restore from time capsule to recover my deleted pictures. That was over 12 hours ago, and I had a thousand pictures. Now when I go into iphoto, I see an empty thumbnail, and if I double click the thumbnail, I either get a picture that shows up, or I get a triangle with a question mark in the middle. Is it possible time capsule is still working on recovering my pictures? How long will it take before I can see my photots in my iphoto program appear as thumbnail pictures? I have also done 2 or 3 restarts, that does not seem to help.

It sounds like a remote erase was sent via 'Find My Mac', to check please go to www.icloud.com and login. Is there any data there?
If it was a remote erase only someone who had the ID and password could have done it. And in that case the data is gone, it is not recoverable I'm afraid.

Wife had the same problem today. Remembering that I had recently signed her up for more space on iCloud and started backing up her photos, I decided to roll the dice and turn that off.
