Is it possible to deploy VM with RDS RDVH in one forest and VMs in another forest?

Hello,
We have a situation with a Remote Desktop Services (RDS) with virtual desktops (RDVH) where we are limited in our possibilities. We have a multi forest domain structure with trusts between the forests, some trusts are 2 way trusts,
some trusts are 1 way trusts and some forests have no trust at all.
We are trying to implement a RDS solution with virtual desktops, the servers are in domain 1 and the client VDI VM’s are in domain 2. Our question is in which trust configuration (domain trust/ forest trust) is this supported and
is there any documentation?
Our consideration is that we are not flexible and we need hardware for every forest and it’s getting very expensive.

If you want to deploy VDI VMs into another domain , you may need to build 2way full trust between RDS domain and the destination domain .

Deployment of same EAR fails on one WLS and succeeds on another!

We are migrating from 10g to 11G for our SOA/ADF application.
Step1: We installed Jdev 11G and also weblogic server that is free on OTN, on our machines. We wanted to first test the deployment on this server on our local machines before we did the deployment on our company's WL server. We were able to successfully create an EAR file (after many road blocks) and deploy the application to the free weblogic server (please note I am NOT saying the embedded WLS or the Integrated WLS).
Step2: We used the EAR file created in the step above and used the same Jdev 11g to do the deployment but instead of connecting to the WLS on our machines, we created a server connection pointing to the company's server. We were confident that this will go smoothly but noooooooo!!!!!! We are getting the following error while deployment. The deployment is failing.
Caused By: java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: oracle.adfinternal.view.faces.bi.renderkit.graph.GraphServlet
Why should this happen? We are using the same EAR and the same JDev to do the deployment. ADF domain has been extended on both the servers. After the deployment failed on our company's WLS, we used the same ear and using JDev to do the deployment again but the one on our machine. It went smoothly. What is going on here?

Can being low on system tablespace effect creating indexes in anyway? Yes it can; even if your index (or table, or package) is created in a non-system tablespace, the description of the index is stored in Oracle's dictionary tables, owned by SYS:
OBJ$ (the list of objects)
IND$ (the list of indexes) - or TAB$, etc
ICOL$ (index columns) - or COL$ for tables...
SEG$ (the list of segments)
UET$ (the list of used extents)
etc. These are the tables on which the dictionary views (eg USER_INDEXES) that we all know and love are based.
These tables grow over time; eventually they too need to be extended. And if there isn't enough free space in the SYSTEM tablespace, your DDL operation fails.
With packages/procedures/functions you require space in a plethora of tables that store the code and the compiled forms of your PL/SQL.

However we are receiving an error when attempting to enter data in the field which we have this edit. Error property: line through cannot be set because doing so would violate the document permission setting. any idea how we can get around this issue?

You can control which fields are locked down after signing by setting up a collection. Then those that are not locked can be changed after signing. If this is not possible, then the line outs must occur prior to signing.

If you are careful you can put at least two on one drive, having Recovery from Lion and Mountain Lion on their own drives though.
CCC can clone Lion Recovery - great for moving or backup.

Hi! Here goes...Can you set up a Palm Centro to sync with one computer with Outlook (07) and another with Palm Desktop? One computer is at home (Outlook) and the other is my work laptop which does not use Outlook at this point. I would like to sync regularly with both. Also....since my work might eventually switch to Outlook - can I change this syncing option at that point and sync with Outlook 03 on one computer and Outlook 07 on another?

Hello dcusuman and welcome to the Palm forums.
The answer to your questions is yes. You can sync your Centro to Microsoft Outlook 2007 on your home PC and then sync to Palm Desktop on your work issued computer. Later on, if your company switches to Microsoft Outlook 2003, you will be able to use a shortcut in your Palm program group to switch the Palm Desktop PIM conduits to the Outlook conduits.
I am going to assume that you are going to be using Palm Desktop 6.2 that comes bundled on the Centro software CD. If you do, there is no reason to download or install the Outlook 2007 conduit update from the Palm website. That update is intended for the older Palm Desktop 4.x and HotSync Manager 6.x.

Is there a way to deploy an EJB with WLContext.REPLICATE_BINDINGS == false?
          There does not seem to be a way to do this using deployment descriptors? Is
          it possible to deploy the EJB programmatically so I can explicitly specify
          REPLICATE_BINDINGS for InitialContext?

I have scenario where I have TWO 2008 R2 AD forests with cross forest trust and also I have some workgroup Win7 Machines.
I wanted to deploy AD RMS in any one forest (Say Forest A), as forced by customer
Is it possible that My forest B users can protect documents with AD RMS in Forest (A)
OR
Is it possible that my workgroup computers can protect documents with AD RMS of Forest A? Can I use user credentials from forest A to protect documents on workgroup computer
OR
Lets take a scenario:
I create user in forest A with addition of email address of forest B user
I share this ID to respective forest B user, forest B user logged on to forest B computer
Now can forest B computers can protect documents with AD RMS from forest A by entering forest A user id \ password when RMS prompts for authentication?

You should be able to. The only hiccup will be that any apps that you have purchased with the older ID you will have to repurchase with the newer ID to be able to keep using them.
Though of course this actually depends on how you plan to use the IDs. For example, I had an Apple ID through iTunes a few years before I opened a .Mac/MobileMe account (what iCloud is now in case you are new to Apple). Thus, my iPhone and iPad actually have two IDs on them, one for iTunes/App Store, and one for anything associated with iCloud. I've never really had any problems assoctiated with having two IDs on one device. Usually just an extra step when I get a new device or have to restore either of them for some reason. Though I understand that this is probably not what you plan on doing, I thought I would use it as an example of what the IDs are really associted with on the devices.

I bought a factory unlocked iPhone 4S from an Apple store in the U.S. and I am in Guatemala. I want to use it now but later on I will move to New Zealand. Can I activate it with a SIM card from Guatemala and then use it with a SIM card from New Zealand? I am just wondering if it will get locked with the Guatemalan SIM card. Or does it just need a SIM from any supported carrier and then it remains unlocked to use with any other carrier? Thanks

As I (mis)understand it, you may:
1) Copy one orange gradient path to the magenta gradient path document;
2) Select the two magenta gradient paths and change the Fill to None;
3) Select the orange gradient path;
4) Select the two magenta gradient paths and change the Fill to Gradient.
That should give you the desired replacement. For multiple use of the same gradient, you may consider a gradient swatch.

Is it possible to add audio with a simple play/pause button and also have a clickTag attached to the full stage?

my client wants to add audio to their banner ad (which always has a full stage clickTAG set). I'm trying to figure out a way to just use a simple play/pause button and attach a toggle action to it. Problem is when the user clicks it's going to the clickTAG URL that's attached to the full stage. Is there any way around this?

I have the same issue. It is pretty annoying but at least the audio remains within the motion project. It just isn't accessible it seems as an FCPX template. So what I'm doing is this:
I still use the video within FCPX's generator section so that you can edit the parameters as you need to
For the audio, open the project in motion then under Share, click 'Export Audio'. Select 'CAF' format and save to your hard disk
I then import the audio file into an event I set up specifically for this purpose (per BenB's suggestion).
When I need it, I then insert the generator from the generators section and then attach the audio file below the primary story line for the audio track
It isn't pretty but it works.

Opening a folder with an application in one click, and automating Terminal

Firstly, is it possible to create a desktop/dock icon (or perhaps a Safari or FireFox bookmark) that opens a folder with a certain application? I'm doing a lot of web development and hoping to create handy buttons for opening up entire folders (Ruby on Rails projects) with only one click. At the moment, I have to find the folder and drag it to the textmate icon; if I had a 'open in textmate' button, that would make my work so much quicker, as I'm often changing between projects. It would be even better if I could have the button as a bookmark in my browser (where I spend most of my time).
Secondly (probably related to the first question), is it possible to automate a process I follow every time I open up a Ruby on Rails project in Terminal (?);
1. Load Terminal by clicking on the icon in the dock
2. 'cd sites/rubyonrailsapp' (where 'rubyonrailsapp' is the rails application I want to load)
3. 'mate .' (opens the entire /rubyonrails/ folder in TextMate)
4. 'CMD + T' (to open up a new Terminal tab)
5. 'gitk --all &' (to open up the Wish version control interface for the rails application)
6. 'autotest' (to runs the tests in the rails application)
7. 'CMD + T' (to open up another new Terminal tab, ready for me to use)
If I could follow those steps with only one click, that would be amazing, so any suggestions are much appreciated (I just realised how many times-per-day I'm typing these commands).

you can try this applescript. just copy it into the Script Editor and save it (1) as a script application that you can double-click, or (2) as a script that you can run from the script menu or quickkeys or etc. may need some tweaking...
