Is it possible to disable outgoing calls initiated by headset?

I am currently using a Motorola H12, but I have had this problem with all models from Jawbones to Jabras.
When the earpiece is in my pocket the button occasionally gets pressed and it starts calling people. This has caused many problems with it calling my customers, friends, etc. Is there any way around this other than to switch the earpiece off every time?

I don't remember if I had the same problem on other phones or not, but I have had it on the 2G and 3G iphones.

  • Is it possible to route an outgoing call?

    Hi,
I've just started out with developing for cell phones and I have a question. Is it possible to like, route an outgoing call to another destination? The scenario is when you make a phonecall with your cell phone, it should instead call the company PBX, and the PBX sets up the call to the phonecall on the other end. It's done for cost effectiveness of course. I'm not asking HOW it's done, merely if it's possible to do like this?

{color:#000080}Read the documentation for javax.microedition.midlet.MIDlet.platformRequest(String URL), particularly the paragraph related to tel:<number>.
    Note that
-- on some devices the call may be placed only after the application is closed.
-- pauses during dialing are not relevant in some telephony services.
-- The user will be asked for permission before any call is placed.

    Good day Sidharth Namrta,
It sounds like you are unable to make any calls, but you can recieve them, and everything else seems to work fine. I recommend you use the troubleshooting in the following article to help you get that resolved, named:
iPhone: Troubleshooting issues making or receiving calls
Follow the steps below to resolve this issue. Please test after each step.
Toggle airplane mode: Tap Settings > Enable Airplane Mode, wait five seconds, then turn off airplane mode.
    Check your phone settings:
Check your Do Not Disturb settings: Tap Settings > Do Not Disturb.
Check for any blocked phone numbers: Tap Settings > Phone > Blocked.
See if Call Forwarding is turned on: Tap Settings > Phone > Call Forwarding.
Ensure that your software is up to date:
Check for a carrier settings update.
Check for an iOS software update.
Note: Some updates may require a Wi-Fi connection.
If the iPhone has a SIM card, reseat the SIM card.
If the iPhone 4 or iPhone 4s is on the Verizon network, dial *228 from the iPhone and select option 2 to update the Preferred Roaming List (PRL). The PRL determines the cellular towers the phone uses for cellular service, selecting those with the best signal strength.
Reset the network settings: Tap  Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings.
Try to make or receive calls in another location.
Attempt to isolate to one network band:
If you're having the issue on LTE, disable LTE, if possible, and try again.
If you're having the issue on 3G/4G, disable 3G/4G, if possible, and try again.
Contact the carrier to check the following:
Your account is properly configured to use the specific iPhone that has the issue.
There are no localized service outages.
    Your account doesn't have a billing-related block.
Your calls don't have errors on the carrier system.
    Restore the phone as new.
If the above steps don't resolve the issue, go to an Apple Retail Store, carrier, Apple Authorized Reseller, or contact AppleCare to send the phone in for service.
Thank you for using Apple Support Communities.
    All the very best,
    Sterling

  • Sip outgoing calls issue, getting 403 forbidden sometimes.

    Hi!
This is my connection to provider
    ISP---Sip---CUBE---Sip---CUCM---Sip---7821
I've got a problem with otgoing calls.
On sucessfull calls my CUBE sent to ISP Invite with SDP, then gets 100 trying, 183 progress sdp, 180 ringing and rtp after it. The call is ok. Hold, transfer, redirect works fine.
But sometimes (maybe 30-40% of outgoing calls) I sent Invite with SDP, then get 100 trying and after it my cube receives 403 forvidden from provider, cause code 57. Session breaks. What's the matter with it? Incoming calls are ok.
Also I disabled providers MOH on this cube by using no ip cef on it and using software mtp on sip trunk fom CUCM.

If the provider is the one sending that to you then it would be best to get with them.   The initial INVITEs and TRYINGs look good from what you can tell?  Is there any dialplan differences between the phones?  Is it the same phones causing this problem or is it random?  These are things you need to look into.

  • IPhone 5s, Outgoing calls makes connection, no voice

iPhone 5s - Outgoing calls makes connection, no voice.

Just spent the morning trying to resolve this problem.  If you want good support, Apple support is not the place to go:  See the following.  My phone is working now, but the support received from Apple was of no help.
    There
are limited places to post the following comment so here it is: Contacted apple
support today for Iphone 5c issue (phone would not make outgoing calls,
intermittent and when there was a connection, receiving party could not hear me
    unless I was on
speaker. After contacting my service provider, resetting my phone and checking
problems with service, they connected me to Apple support. Apple called me and
gathered my information, cell number I was calling from (not my cell with
problem). We worked through some possible issues and then she said she was
going to call my cell to check connectivity. She proceeds to hang up on the
call we were on and attempts to call my cell. My cell was not working properly,
hence my call was made from a different phone. Support person can not reach me
through my celll ( because it was not working properly) instead of contacting
me back on the number I gave her in case we were disconnected, she leaves a
message for me to call Apple support back to resolve the problem and she was
going to add to the ticket that we were disconnected. Oh and she neglected to
leave me a call back number so that didn't help much. Didn't give me a ticket
number. I use to love apple. I guess you either love them or hate them. I now
hate them and will tell everyone that they have the worst support I have ever
encountered. I have seen many issues with Apple phones whenever someone updates
their IOS as recommended. If you want anything more than sub par support I
would suggest you go anywhere except Apple. Posting on as many social media
sites as I can, since this is the only source I have to complain. Not that
these complaints will be taken seriously.

  • My 4s has no sound on most outgoing calls. i constantly have to turn my phone off and on more than once a day to get it to work. how can i get this fixed?

My 4s has no sound on most of the outgoing calls i make. It will ring the other phone I am calling but I cannot hear it nor can they hear me when they answer. Its just dead air but my phone timer is in use. How can this be corrected?

It's very possible that you have stuff running in the background that you don't even realize you have running. For example the default is for all notifications to be on and you usually need few to none of them.
That said, while an iPad can run warm, too hot to handle isn't right. ALso you should get about 10 hours....depending on what you're doing of course. If you're doing processor intensive stuff, like gaming and videos it can drain faster and generate more heat.
I would say if you have an apple store near by, make an appointment and have them check it out. If the issue is due to what they determine to be manufacturer's defects then it could fall under the warranty. But that's up to the store to determine.

  • IPhone 4s 6.1.3 problems with 3g,In and Outgoing Calls

    Hi Everybody!
I got a factory unlocked (originally was Vodafon locked) iPhone 4s with firmware 6.1.3.When I insert my sim (Hungarian Telenor) when only EDGE is on it founds the signal and seems like everything is working. After a few hours or sometimes even a day passes by a phone stays on full signal with Carrier logo and Edge on, but my friends reporting that they cant call me(like im offline) and i cant make calls either. The interresting stuff is that the Edge connection is fully working during that im offline for my friends via Calls and i can send and recieve imessages and viber messages.
When i switch 3g on it disconnects from service drops the EDGE and never finds the way back and stays 'searching' or 'no service' at all..
I thought that its my Carrier's fault so i went to spoke with them and tried 5different micro Sims( cause i wrote that 4s-s are sensitive to SIM card types).. this thing not worked either,
Then i tried the phone with a T-mobile SIM card.. it does the same..connects to the services, but with 3g switched on not finding service..so totally like with my sim.
Here Comes the bumm... i Tried the phone with vodafone sim and everything works.. simple connectivity to 3g with full internet usage, can make and recieve calls...I spoked with all of the Carriers and also Apple and no body can give me nothing..the phone is off varranty so changed to a new one isnt an option..
Anybody? Something? im beginning to give up .. please help if you can..Thanks!!
ps.:i restored over 20times,reset network settings, switch off and on automatic setting time.. every little possible things that people wrote on forums before..

    neverstop wrote:

    1. In order
    2. ...... everyone is pointing on the other and i cant do anything about it..just the whole 3g/call failed stuff is bothering me...
    2. It appears configuration issue. I use three iPhones (in my family) on four unsupported carriers. Never had any problem except on one. Outgoing calles to one particular party failed. Set right by Carrier.
    3. Is there something like the Unlock process was not fully succesfull...
    3. Never heard. It is digital : Yes or No. In the instant case, unlock is successful.
Download firmware afresh via iTunes or from here iPhone4,1_6.1.3_10B329_Restore.ipsw
and save. Insert Telenor SIM in the iPhone. Backup. Option+Restore (Mac) Shift+Restore (PC) pointing to saved firmware. Reject Carrier updates, if any offered by iTunes. Setup as New.
    Observe.

  • Verizon 8830 with United-Mobile SIM: incoming calls OK, no outgoing calls

I have a United-Mobile SIM card which I've used successfully in a number of countries in an unlocked GSM phone.  I unlocked my 8830 a month ago before traveling to Israel.  Before leaving, I had the phone activated for global service so I could use the browser and send/receive email.  What I learned upon arrival was that those functions in Israel are provided by a CDMA network, which meant that I had to have the Mobile Network setting at either 1XEV or Global.  When set to 1XEV, the network is totally CDMA, which shuts off the GSM capabilities.  When set to Global, both 1XEV and GSM are theoretically possible, but when attempting to make outgoing calls the phone defaults to the CDMA network, which means that outgoing calls will go at Verizon's per-miniute rates.  To get around that, I swtiched to GSM, which terminates that CDMA functions.  Using the GSM network, however, calls do come in when placed to the SIM card's number, but no calls go out.
I checked with United Mobile about this for a possible solution.  They indicated that when using their SIM card there would be a United Mobile folder somewhere in the BB, but I was not able to find one.  Also, I pulled the UM card and substituted a local SIM card.  That worked perfectly, both incoming and outgoing.
So I'm wondering if the problem has to do with the fact that Israel uses a CDMA network for Verizon, whether there's some configuration I have to change on the BB or whether the UM SIM is in some way incompatible with the BB.  In that case, I need to find out whether the solution is to use local SIM cards or whether there's a "global" SIM card available with reasonable outgoing rates, free incoming calls, and no connection charge.  The UM SIM card is 29 cents a minute outgoing, free incoming, and no connection charge, but at the moment it doesn't seem to work properly in the BB.
I am hoping that the proper setting would be Global, allowing me to browse, get email, use BBM, and make calls as needed.  So far, I can't do that.
    Suggestions greatly appreciated.

Judging by the lack of responses, it appears that no one has any suggestions.  I guess I'm stuck with using the BB for browsing, email, and BBM only while in Israel and using a separate GSM phone with the United Mobile card.  In the alternative, I suppose I could try a local SIM card in the BB.  Not a big deal, though I would prefer not to carry the BB and a separate phone when only one should be needed to do the job.

  • Automatic outgoing calls with CUE?

    Hello,
is it possible to make automatic outgoing calls with a CUE?
That is, can we give X numbers to the CUE and let him place X automatic calls, with a prerecorded message (for example, for a telemarketing campaign)?
    Thanks and regards.

    Hello,
I think to have solved by myself, by the command "Place Call" of the CUE Editor.
    Regards.

  • No voice during incoming outgoing calls

Hi, if anyone faced this issue before....there is no voice heard during incoming outgoing calls. However, we are able to talk on Skype or listen to music.

To me this sounds like the RTP stream problem - it probably does not pass the firewall / nat on the way between SIP provider and you.
What may have happenned is, that either on your Belkin router/NAT, or on internet ISP's router/NAT the SIP ALG (Application Layer Gateway) was enabled.
If this is the case,  you need to disable SIP ALG on your router and/or ask your internet ISP to disable it on the firewall router.
Another issue may have been if you have (accidentaly) changed the port forwarding on your Belkin router, and/or the PAP2T local LAN IP address changed and the port forwarding no longer works.
So my proposals to check would be :
    - check and DISABLE SIP ALG on your Belkin (if router has this feature)
    - check the port forwarding on your Belkin router ... IF you setup port forwarding for 5060/61 you MUST set the same for RTP ports (16384-16483)
    - if you don't have port forwarding on your Belkin, try to setup forward of 5060-5061 AND 16384-16483*.
*(If this is too many ports, set the the RTP portrange on PAP2T to 16384-16394 for example and then forward only that range)
    - if neither of above helps, change your Line1 SIP port from 5060 to let's say 6070, and RTP ports to the range let's say 17300 - 17310
    - last you may do on your side is to remove all port forwarding and put the PAP2T to the DMZ settings of your Belkin router.

  • SIP trunk incoming and outgoing calls issue

    Hi Everyone,
We recently installad a SIP trunk and terminated on CUBE and CUCM but we have issues on incoming and outgoing calls, When someone dial in from outside he keeps listening the dailing ring even after we pick up the phone and at the end the callers time exipres and call gets disconnected.
For Dailing out, the dialed number rings and caller hear the dailing ring as well but if someone pick the phone it apprears that call is connected but no audio in it, dead air.
    Our call flow is as
    IP Phones => CUCM --->SIPTRUNK--->CUBE=>SIPTRUNK=>SP
I have attached the config for CUBE and debug ccsip messages output for both incoming and outgoing calls.
Please if some help in sorting out this issue, Thanks in Advance

    Inbound call>>>>
The reason you are experiencing this is that your CUBE is requesting PRACK and your provider is not responding to it..
Here we have your cube sending 180 ringing with "Require 100rel"..This was sent several times and your ITSP didnt respond probably because they do not support 100rel...(It is Huwaei after all, they do what they like)

  • Fax line used for outgoing calls when incomming fax not coming in?

So is there a way to do this? Can I route the 1 FXO to FXS for incomming calls (and plug fax into FXS) or something like this and then use that line as an outgoing line when not in use?
I don't need step but steps but the basics of how something like this could be configured would be awesome!!!

I'm not sure if I understand. I set this up, so I understand phone systems enough to do this, but I don't really don't know the terminoligy.
    Let me back up.
Currently our business has 2 lines and a fax line. Right now the two lines are plugged into 2 FXO ports and the fax line is just plugged into the fax machine--not the UC320. We're in mixed mode, not pbx specifically. We get one or two faxes a day and we send two or 3 faxes a day. We'd like to be able to use the fax line for outgoing calls when it's not being used for fax.
So I need to be able to control the in and the out of the fax line. I need all incomming calls for the fax number routed to what I assume would be the FXS port (with the fax machine plugged into the FXS port), and none of the other lines routed in this way (the other lines would go to the attendant).
Then I need if we send a fax, we need for when the fax machine opens the line for it to automatically be routed to the fax line. Then the fax machine can dial and send faxes. I think we send few enough faxes that we're not too worried about what happens if we try to send a fax and the phone is busy, but it would be nice to be able to look at a phone and tell if the fax line is in use.
I don't really care if the Fax line is part of a shaed FXO, it can be a seperate choice on the phone for making outgoing calls (one of the buttons next to the screen or something).
Is all this possible? Is it only possible in PBX style or is mixed ok?

  • Contact groups and outgoing call Protocol

I have two Problems with phone essentials:
    1. making contact groups without external App.
    2. Getting a Detail Protocol for outgoing calls ( with Time Budget) without ext. App.
    Any idea?
    Thank you

    1) To the best of my knowledge this is not possible.
    2) If I understand what your asking, go to Phone>Recents and tap on the blue arrow at the right of each call listing. It will tell you the time and duration of the call.
    Best of luck.

  • How to ge outgoing call time in Java ME

Is it possible to get outgoing time call from MIDlet?
    Thanks in advance

    Panfrano,
It is possible in very few cases. The phone must support [JSR 253|http://jcp.org/en/jsr/detail?id=253] Mobile Telephony API.
Only then you could be notified about phone events and write some code that could measure the time between those. However only very few newest phones support that JSR. One example is SonyEricsson eXperia X2.

  • No privacy settings to control incoming and outgoing calls

Is it possible to restrict incoming calls on the Droid Razr Maxx?  With other Motorola phones (Droid X) it's easy to restrict incoming (and outgoing) calls to the address book only.  .just can't find one.....thank you
