Is it possible to display Japanese smartform with logon language as EN?

Hi Experts,
Our client wants to display some Japanese smartforms.
But they want the smartform to be displayed correctly with logon language as 'EN'.
Please tell me whether this can be achieved and if yes how?

Thanks for your reply!
We are having multiple smartforms (Japanese ,GErman, French etc).
We are working with E-rec and in one application the smartform ( Acknowledge letter) needs to be displayed.
User can choose any template (JA,FR,DE etc) and smartform is displayed in that language even with logon language as 'EN'.
But , In case of Japanese we face problems.
Please guide.

It is ... however, you will need to use an external mouse and keyboard. Connect the display adaptors, turn the MacBook on, and, when you've given it enough time to get to the desktop (you may or may not see anything happen on the TV), close the lid, allow it to go to sleep, then click the mouse to wake it up. It should use the TV as the main display.

Chinese Symbols in "Check Status" with Logon Language German

Hello Colleagues,
We have a strange problem in our Quality system (SRM 4.0). When a user from Germany (logon language "DE") logs on to SRM and clicks on "check status" several descriptions of the columns like "item description", required on", "status" and "price" are displayed in chinese charakter.
In which table or transaction can I change those descriptions. We do have an UAT soon and this might look strange to the tester.

Is it possible to display a waveform with fixed length and fixed starting point?

I am using DAQ assitant to acquire voltage and current measurment of my device. The voltage is a pure sine wave and current is a periodic waveform with phase difference and distortion. I use waveform chart to display the waveform of voltage and current waveform in seperate charts and they work fine.But the waveforms look like moving to the right all the time, in another way ,the phase is always shifting. Now i want to display the waveforms of both with fixed length (say 2 cycle) and also in a same chart. Apart from that, i also want to display the voltage waveform starting form 0 degree (a fixed point )rather than moving all the time. In this case, i can observe the angle difference between voltage and current. Is there any method to achieve this purpose?

first of all, you are using a chart which has three options for updates if the chart is "full":
Strip chart (default)
Scope chart
Sweep chart
These are called "update mode". Test the modes yourself.
Also you have to know that you will not likely have an integer number of periods of your signal in the display of the chart. Therefore, a continuous signal will "move" the graph from update to update.
You can implement some algorithm to discard data to maintain a static "trigger" level for display, but as stated, it will leave gaps in the signal. These gaps are not a concern unless you use the displayed signal for analysis (e.g. FFT).

How to Display Japanese character in Crystal Report 8.5

Hi,
I've some data stored in japanese language in sql server 2005 database using nvarchar datatype.
When i execute store proc in sql server, it's showing japanese character properly in sql server. However, when i'm trying to display data in crystal report 8.5, it's showing ????? character.
I've tried to change font to 'Arial Unicode MS (Japanese)',MS Gothic, MS UI Gothic, MS Mincho (Japanese) as per the search result available in google. But not had any luck.
Can anyone please provide any solution for this?

My iPod no longer recognized in itunes or my computer and functions no longer work. I tried to reset it, Apple appears to leave room for a few seconds later the same icon with an electrical outlet and impossible to put it into disk mode. Help me please I don't know what to do. I recently set up a computer for a client in Japan using Windows XP PRO MUI version. When they tried to install their Labview Japanese, it "turned into garbled characters."
From the Microsoft link it appears there are some differences between a fully localized Japanese Windows and the MUI version"

My question: Should it be possible to install Japanese Labview on top of Windows MUI with Japanese set as the user language and default language? Displaying Japanese using CVI 8.1

I need to create an applicaiton that must have a few user prompts or simple messages in Japanese but I am using an english version of MS Windows XP. I have downloaded and installed the MS Japanese language pack ie_ja.exe which allows me to display Japanese from MS applications such as Word or Wordpad but did not seem to make any difference with CVI. What do I need to do to display Japanese in things like MessagePopups?

I'm afraid I cannot help you more than this as I'm not using japanise or similar languages in my activity.

Barcodes are not getting Displayed in Smartforms.

In Previous Month barcode was getting displayed in smartforms print Preview. And PDF form is generated successfully. I am not using standard form this is custom.
In Previous month, Service pack SAPKA70023 ABA Support Package 23 & 22 for 7.00 were applied, After that Barcode is not getting displayed for current month. I identified that Barcode Name is not mentioned in smartstyles.
Ther is no transport Request Moved from last one year.
Can any one suggest me there will be any impact on barcodes after service packs

visible in portal. Re-configured UWL, but still the task not coming( leave request). For other users it is > coming?
Where have you created these users? Many times it is not enough to create new users in a backend system. You will have to create them in the data source which is used by the UME of your portal or to map this data source with the system where you have created your new users
You can see what data source your portal is using by going to
Portal --> System Administration --> System Configuration --> UME Configuration --> Data Source
If this Data Source doesn´t contain your new users, then UWL wouldn´t be able to show their items.
Here you can check if your user is contained in the data source:
Portal --> User Administration --> choose the right data source --> put in the username --> search
Please check if your users are correctly created.

The portlet data can be accessible using bindings, but parameter name can be different.
Meanwhile I have got one more scenario, where the Portlet and Task Flow placed in different pages of WCP Application. On change of data in the Portlet the application should navigate to another page where the Task Flow placed and displays selected data.
Basically I can not use any button for navigation. The navigation should happen once I do some action in Portlet.
Is this possible? If yes can you please let me know the steps?

How to display 2 layouts with 2 different Header and Footer in a template.

I am using XML Publisher 5.5. I have created one template which is having two layouts. I am using <?Start: Body?> and <?end body?> for displaying Headers and footers. Now my problem is, I need to display first layout with it's associated Header and footer and then second layout with other header and footer. But the two layouts should come in single template file. How is it possible?. Is there any work around? Please help me as this is the urgent requirement to my client.

I've tried to use hierarchy node variables, but it seems like you can't specify a attribute of the hierarchy such as level. So with the WBS hierarchy, if you create a hierarchy node variable, you specify the WBS value to select (If I understand this correctly). I wish I could instead specify "give me all the WBS nodes that happen to have the value of the level attribute greater or equal to 3. If I understand Juergens post, he is saying make security access so that only certain WBS levels can be returned in the query. I suppose we can try that, but that would then preclude getting the level 1 and 2 in the future if the authorization is global.
