Is it possible to do a dvd menu like the 2012 blu ray menus?

Hi! I recently rent some blu ray movies and I watched them. The menu was incredible: It was only one menu, and you could do everything on it: change language, chosse chapter... without changing the menu. There was a motion menu that didn't restart from the beginning everytime you do something like the dvd I created. Is it possible to do that? If yes, how?

By far, iDVD is your best choice. I have tried many alternatives nothing else comes close. You can purchase iDVD on Amazon as part of iLife 11.
Be advised, that the newest iMovie cannot set chapter markers!  I would recommend the use of iMovie HD or iMovie 11.  My own preference is iMovie HD.
You can set chapters with iDVD but it is a little more difficult.

  • How do I make interactive DVD/Blu-Ray menus with motion?

So, adobe doesn't support Encore anymore which means I can't use dynamic link to AE to create interactive DVD/Blu-Ray menus with motion.... or can I? Is there something I'm doing wrong? While in Encore, I go to dynamic link and boom, dynamic link to AE is not highlighted. If I can't make an interactive menu with motion using adobe, then what can I use? This is causing a major problem for me and my clients. (if i over looked the answer to this in another post, my apologies)

You can use the "Create After Effects Composition." This prompts you to create an independent version of the Encore PSD menu file, and opens the layered file in AE CC and creates a new composition with appropriate settings. AE no longer has mpeg export, so you export from AE to AME.
There were some workflow options that I did not play with much, but they were never what I saw as the basics for using AE to create the motion background.

  • How to create a DVD menu like an animated Flash Menu?

Hello.  I'm trying to figure out how to create an animated menu in Encore for a DVD, much like how menus are that are created in flash.  How can I create one in Encore for a DVD menu?  Thanks.

  • Dvd menu like windows dvd maker "video wall"?

I recently bought premiere elements 10 and I'm just learning how to use it.
My question:  how can I produce an effect equivalent to the "video wall" dvd menu that windows dvd maker has?
I think I can make something like this using the PIP function.  I don't see how to automate this process.  It seems very tedious.  Am I missing something?
    Thanks.
    Todd

Right - I've never bothered with the 'Live' versions.
But I do have installed the earlier Movie Maker 2.6, that allows export to DV-AVI. And if you don't have that you CAN still download it from Microsoft.
But the 'non-Live' version of DVD Maker may not be available in all Windows versions (I recall a post that suggests it's not available in Windows Basic). And if you don't have it you are stuck - as it CANNOT be downloaded separately.
It IS definitely is in Vista Ultimate 32-bit and W7 Ultimate 64-bit.

  • An Interactive DVD Menu-Like project

I am working on a project that requires a Main looping video with buttons to link to different videos, and a button to link back to the Main video - think of it as an interactive DVD. I created it in Encore but the problem is the computers this will be displayed on do not have blu-ray drives and the DVD really cuts the quality at full screen.
Is this something that could be done in flash? I have minimal training with Flash, but am up for learning. If anyone has pointers or reference links that could help me out that'd be great.
    thanks.

If you did it in encore then your target was making a blu-ray, correct?
I presume you want to do what Encore does and make a "Computer" version of your DVD menus?
    Have you tried Encore's File->Build->Flash... ?

  • DVD drive does not play blu-ray

I am wondering if anyone can help me. I have been trying for the last several days to get my DVD drive to read blu-ray's. It is an HP DV-7 1038ca and there is a Blu-Ray symbol on the drive. When I put a BD in the drive, it cannot read it at all and says there is no disc in the drive. It plays regular movies and I have never had any problems with it.
I have taken some of the earlier suggestions to people with similar problems. I tried Matz_Run.dvd.exe and it told me I had a problem. It said I can read HD-ROM but it would not recognize the disc in the drive. I dried some Cyberlink software to detect BD and BD-3D technology (I forget what it was called) and it said that everything except "software" was functioning. I have loaded the latest HP Quickplay and that did not work. Then I saw that Mediasmart's latest version was actually the replacement. I downloaded Mediasmart from the HP website (as I did not have it before this), then I installed it and upgraded it to the latest edition directly within the software. My computer still refuses to acknowledge there is a disc in the drive when I put an HD disc in. The discs I am trying to read is a 4-part series from BBC vvideo called PLANET EARTH. I have no other BluRay discs currently at my disposal. I even tried changing the country code just in case and this did not work.
Then I tried Cyberlink PowerDVD 10 Ultra Mark II as this also seems to have BD capability, but same thing, total failure. With the Cyberlink detection program, I get the idea that it works, but perhaps it does not. Is it possible that my BD laser is malfunctioning? Is there any way to check? Or perhaps the issue is something else (other than frustrating). I am running Windows 7 Home 64-bit. I am using MS Security Essentials for protection and Spybot S&D. I cannot think of any other specs to give you at this time, so feel free to ask if I left something out.
    Please help.
    This question was solved.

    Hi,
Does the drive still recognise and play DVDs and CDs?  If so, I'm afraid it does look like this may be a hardware issue with the BD laser.
One further thing to try is to open the drive and carefully clean both lenses and check again, but if this doesn't help, you may want to start considering replacing the Drive.

  • Encore Menu Audio Glitch in Blu-Ray

I've been trying to burn a BRD in Encore for several months now and have not been successful as yet. I can burn a disk in Blu-Ray with operating menu and everything is fine -- except - I cannot get the menu audio to play for more than 10 seconds.  I've tried using a custom menu made from Photoshop, menu from the Encore Library.  I've tried converting the audio from mp3 or wav to AAC format.  I've tried using Adobe Media Encoder to encode the audio.
I do not have these issues when burning a regular DVD.  Regular DVDs build just fine.
I have checked everything in the Encore menu properties box and everything appears to be fine. I've reviewed the training disk and I appear to be doing everything correctly.  I've tried everything mentioned in this forum -- I think.     I've tried importing the audio asset as a .wav, PCM, AC3, and mt2a.  I  My system specs are listed below.  Can anyone provide any additional information on how I can fix this?
I tried using it on my Win7 system as well, but the Blu_ray build just totally freezes the Encore program.

  • Question about custom PS menu in Encore CS6 Blu-ray project

I can't seem to find the answer to this anywhere. My project is in Encore CS6 for Blu-ray.
Basically, I have a documentary about a group of friends taking a roadtrip around the country. The film is broken down by days, which coincide with different cities they stop in.
    For example:
    - Day 1 they were in Atlanta, GA
    - Day 2 they were in Tallahassee, FL
    - Day 3 they were in Jacksonville, FL
    - Etc
The problem I'm having is with the Chapter menu.
    Here's what it looks like:
The Chapter menu it's a map of the region with the cities they stopped in and a graphic of their route with a line to each city.
Across the bottom of the menu are the Days to select, ie Day 1, Day 2, Day 3. These are the buttons to select and are not part of the map.
When the Days are selected with the bottom buttons I also want the cities in the map to be highlighted as well. But I can't figure out how to do this? When I bring the menu into Encore it gets all screwed up with selections all overlapping each other, because it thinks both the bottom Day buttons and the map city highlights are both buttons.
Here's what is happening when the menu is brought into Encore:
I only want the lower Day buttons to be selectable, and when they are chosen the city lights up as a separate informational graphic (which is not meant to be selectable as part of the button, just to provide the viewer additional information, in this case a reference on the map of where they are on each Day).
If someone can shed some light on how to do this I'd be most appreciative.

When you put the red dot inside the button group for that button, you make it part of the button. That is the nature of the DVD spec. And the area of the button is defined by the whole rectangle the encloses all the elements of the button.
The problem with BigMan's option (which is the option) is that it won't work using a mouse on a computer - a mouse rollover doesn't trigger the selection of the button. It will work on a computer when using the software player's "remote."

  • Boosting wifi signal on the Sony Blu-ray Disc/DVD Player BDP-S590

I just bought the Blu-ray player which has a wireless LAN built-in. It is having trouble connecting with Netflix. I don't think the signal is strong enough, since I am in a Loft Condo which has one concrete wall that I think is blocking the signal.
If I get something to boost my wifi signal, is that called a repeater. And will it cut the speed in half?
What might be a good solution for me?
    Thank you.

I suppose the simplest solution, but you didn't say if possible, would be to simply move the wifi router closer to the BD player..
If not, then it will simply take whatever signal it receives and rebroadcast it. So say on a scale of 1-10. The repeater is picking up your wifi at a 4, it'll rebroadcast at a maximum speed of 4, but the repeater itself will be broadcasting at a 10.
I'm tired, so if that didn't make any sense, please, other peoples, chime in.

  • I want to build a drop down menu like the one featured here

Hi there, I am wanting to build a drop down menu exactly like the one on this site (see college information button, top right)
    http://www.barnsley.ac.uk/index.php
I have a lot of content, and really like the idea of hiding behind a button at the top, and when the user clicks on it it opens up and pushes the rest of the page down!
    Anyone know how?

  • DVD for Film Festival Screening & Blu-Ray Question

    Hey Everyone,
I just wanted to double check something.
I have been making DVD's with DVD Studio Pro for a short film shot on HDV --  23.98 and they look great.  I chose the "Best Quality" output, etc. etc.  This project is going to be screening in a small film festival and they are going to project off of a DVD.  I did a test screening in a theater classroom on a big screen and it looked fine.
I wanted to check in and see if anyone thinks there is a better output option for this.  I don't have a Blu-Ray Burner at this time.
Also, I plan on getting a Blu-Ray burner in the future.  I hear Lacie is the way to go?  Any other suggestions, and/or links to other burners highly recommended.  Also, do you need Toast to burn Blu-Ray?
    Thanks for your input!
    - Eric

You might be able to play a true HD file from your computer, you don't need the BD. But you must test the display output from your card to the projector in advance to know you've got what it takes to connect the two and if the projector is even capable of showing 1080. Most are not.
It is highly unlikely a festival will require BD submissions, too much hassle for them and for the participants.

  • DVDs that can play in Blu-Ray player

Does anyone know of DVDs that I can burn that will play in a regular DVD player and Blu-Ray DVD player?

    Hi
    and
set down burn speed to x4 or x1
and secure a minimum of 25Gb free space on internal start-up hard disk to let
iDVD and Mac OS work as intended (place to store temp file during process - can't be stored elsewhere)

  • MacPro will burn dvds but won't burn blu-rays anymore?

I've been using Compressor (ver. 3) to burn blu-rays and dvds of my movie for several months just fine.  A few days ago after opening my blu-ray project in Compressor it did the usual: tray opens and it says "Please insert blu-ray media…"  I put a blank disk in (the same kind I've been using all along) and pushed the keyboard eject button to close the tray but it didn't move.  I manually pushed the tray closed and I could hear it spin up several times and then it spit the disk back out.  I repeated this several times with no luck.  I tried different blu-ray media (didn't work).  I tried burning a dvd and it DID work, so I'm thinking it's not the blu-ray drive.  However I tried burning with Disk Utility and it wouldn't work.  I also tried to make a blu-ray burn folder and it wouldn't work.  It doesn't make sense that it can burn dvds but not blu-rays.
I'm not sure what else to do.  I haven't upgraded (still on Lion).  Would upgrading to Mavericks fix this?  Everything's been working great so I didn't want to upgrade and mess it all up.  I fear taking it to an Apple Store will cost more than purchasing a new blu-ray burner.
Any thoughts or advice?  Thank you for your help!

    Upgrade to Yosemite.

    Hi Guys,
I'm trying to do a <b>vertical menu</b> like the one in <b>Trans. SE80</b>, I already did the vertical menu and I add a comobox inside one of the options. But the appearance of the combobox isn't the same as SE80 transaction.
Does anybody knows how can I add, textbox, labels and buttons with the same appearance of SE80?.
