Is it possible to do an email merge using Excel on my iMac? If so, how?

I'm hoping someone can help me. I'm working off of an Excel doc and my client has asked me to send a personalized email to 300+ people. I'm wondering if it's possible to do a mail merge. I have a iMac OS X Version 10.6.8. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

To do a mail merge using office, you would need to configure outlook.
Will you be using your gmail address? if so, How To Wrangle Outlook 2011 To Work With Gmail explains how to setup outlook to use a gmail email address.
If not, what domain will you be sending your mailing outwith? (that's the part after the name ie @gmail.com, @yahoo.com, @facebook.com, extra)
After you setup Outlook. You might want to check out Use Mail Merge to create a form letter. While the instructions While it's not specific to an email address. But it dose explain the the basics of mail merge process.

Sorry, that isn't possible. The email address is used as the account name. If you need to change it, a new account would need to be created.

Copying Graphs and Pie Charts generated in Analysis View to Email item using Excel VBA Macro Code

I am currently working on an exce VBA macro code that would help me take snapshots of the Graphs and Pie charts generated in QC for a particular application and copy the same to an email item using excel VBA macro code.
I was able to write the code to create an email item. But I have no clue of how i can take snapshot of the graphs in Analysis View using excel VBA
Any help would be highly appreciated.

The scroll bar on the top pane of my email (I use AT&T Yahoo) suddenly disappeared. How do I make it come back?

The top pane of my email window lists my emails. It always had a scroll bar on the right side, allowing me to scroll down the list of emails. Yesterday, it just disappeared. I still have a scroll bar in the bottom pane, where I read a specific email, but none in the top pane. Had tech support from AT&T, but found that since scroll bar is there in Internet Explorer, it's not my email program that's the problem, but FireFox.

If you are using POP email accounts, this is how they are designed to work. POP mail gets offloaded from the mail server onto the device used to access it, so it will not show up on another client later as it literally no longer is stored on the server. It may be possible for you to configure your POP mail account to keep messages on the server, so they will always appear every time you access your mail (from any device). The downside of this is that most POP accounts have limited online storage, and the messages will never disappear until you manually delete them, so if you are not very diligent at cleaning out read mail, you run the risk of your account filling up.
Really, for what you want, you should switch to an IMAP mail service. IMAP mail is always stored on the server, not on any one client/device, so it is always accessible from any client on any device. Given that, most IMAP accounts have much larger online storage than most POP accounts, since the mail is intended to stay on the server.
Check with your email provider and see if you can switch your account(s) over to IMAP. If not, there are a number of free IMAP providers, such as gmail from google.

I like using word to merge data such as letters but use apple mail as main email application. Does anyone know if it's possible to email merge from word to be sent by apple mail?

ednagirl, couldn't agree more. Previously on my PC, I would create beautiful marketing pieces customized for each individual using the MS Word merge-to-email feature. I could choose to merge all or a select group and they would merge and create an individual email in my Outbox waiting for me to press Send All. The fact that there is no way to do this on a Mac that I've been able to fine is appalling! Attachments are not the same. For one thing, doesn't an email that starts "Dear Yvan" have much more appeal than just "Hey, open the really cool attachment!" Once received, the recipients thought I had taken time to write to them personally and it made a HUGE impact.

PDF Output Settings for Word Email Merge?

Hi all,
I'm using Acrobat X's integration in Word to do an email merge of PDFs. There are images in my template that need their quality maintained. So far, I've been unable to find a setting that affects the "Merge to Adobe PDF" script.
I've created a new PDFMaker Settings > Conversion Setting that uses all the highest image-preserving settings I've found to change from my research. This includes turning off downsampling and compression. When I simply print to PDF or Save As PDF, the image comes out perfectly. When I Mail Merge to PDF, the image quality is lost again.
Where can I adjust the settings for the script that merges to PDF to preserve the image quality?

Found a workaround, but it does not answer my original question.
My images were in PNG format (which I had intended to use for its transparency). PNGs appear to not handle well in the PDF mail merge. Testing with JPGs, I found they retained much more quality, so I ended up using my Snipping Tool to save the images (with the background seen through the transparent parts) as a JPG, then swapped those images into the document.
Very sloppy workaround, but it got the job done!

Acrobat also comes with a desktop version of the FormsCentral desiger, which can be used to create simple PDF forms that can be used apart from the FormsCentral service. So you'll no longer be able to create and host web forms with the FormsCentral service or use PDF forms with the FormsCentral service. You will be able to create standalone PDF forms with Acrobat and simple PDF forms with the FormsCentral desktop app.
