Is it possible to do localization to the text object in a report as we do to a text box control in VS 2005? If it is , how ?

If you want to see the result of the MIC recordings, you can go to:
QALS: for the inspection lot header data
QASR: for multiple result (example: an MIC that required three times recording and the result will be the average value.)
QASE: for single result.
User SE16N to browse the tables.

'Detect Lists' Won't Turn-Off

I unchecked 'Automatically detect lists', closed the document, reopened it, and yet could not get the feature to stop. How do I get a document to quit making those darn lists, as any space I add between lines, is generating a new listing addition? Thanks!

The easiest first-step in troubleshooting Pages is to delete its preference file. Go to HD > Users > (your account) > Library > Preferences & delete the com.apple.iwork.pages.plist file & restart Pages.
Other possible steps to localize the problem.
Did you try quitting & restarting Pages? How about in another user account?

Is it possible to localize preset name?

Hi,
I would like to localize the name of presets that my Export Plugin defines (the preset that are inside the plugin, in the presets/ dir). Using the LOC function does not work. I looked at the built-in Export Plugin in Lightroom, they use another function (ZSTR), and the actual string files are located in a totally different place.
Is there a way of translating a preset name?

Hi Raphael, this is not possible with the LR2 SDK. I'll note that as a feature request. I don't know yet whether it will be possible for LR3 or not.

Is it possible to localize a Pc with the Apple ID?

first I want to excuse my bad english. Hopefully you understand what I mean. A Month ago my Laptop got be stolen. Now I realised that on my Laptop is ITunes installed and my password for my Apple ID is saved in Itunes. I logged in on an other PC to see if the stealer has also logged in and Itunes told me that I can´t open Itunes because an other user (which must be the stealer) uses this account at the moment.
So my question:
Do you think that it is possible that Apple can localize (Maybe with the IP Adress) my Laptop so the police can get it?

No.
That message means that someone else already logged onto the computer your are using has iTunes open. It does not mean someone else is accessing your iTunes account.
Log everyone else off the computer you are using.

neither BSP, FD, BTHF or the payment engine (C&B) are supported for the US localisation for versions 2007 or 8.8 according to the product availability matrix.
You might explore whether DTW could be used, but I would recommend you contact SAP US local field.

US localization. Select 2 Sales orders in one down payment invoice

US Localization.
I need to create a Sales Down payemnt invoice selecting 2 sales order but is not possibile to select more than one SO.
In Other localization I see that it is possible.
There is some set up or on the US localization it is not possible?

Sheet Window Appears Modal in non-English Localizations

It only displays as a sheet in the English localization. What's up with that?

Ok, I've taken some time to think about this problem and I've modified the code a bit.
Now the dialog shows itself and is responsive (i.e. its JLists can be operated), but the Ok button does not close the dialog as I'd want. I believe that I'm messing up things about threading, and the operations in actionPerformed() should be carried out in another thread, if possible.

I've some doubts regarding the Statutory Compliances (Indian Localization) in SBO and I want to share with all you. Anyone who can plz help me.
Service Tax
·         Is tracking invoice wise details and automatically calculating service tax payable and input credit with the provision of later adjustments possible ?
·         Does SAP B1 has predefined service tax categories with rates ?
·         is adjustment of input credit towards service tax payable possible ?
·         Is generation of reports in govt. prescribed formats possible (TR6 Challan, Input Credit Form, ST3 Report and ST3-A report) possible ?
TDS
·         Does it have configurable TDS ledgers with options to specify the nature of payment and assessee type along with the rate of TDS ?
·         Is accounting for tax on partial/full payment of bills there ?
·         can we track each transaction from deduction to payment ?
·         does it have reports like Form 16A, TDS Challan, TDS computation and TDS payable ?
·         does it generate e-TDS in NSDL compliant format ?
Excise for Traders

Hi,
You can set any currency till the time there is no transactions in the database.
Please do remember that the on selection of the Localization UK, the legal aspects and the tax law pertaining to the UK will be applicable and also you have to check for the exchange rate calculation based on settings (direct/indirect).
Also, taking INR as LC will lead to INR being the main currency and hence the reports generation and reconciliation of all the Multi-Currency will be performed in the Lead Currency.

Localization Issue - Application Doesn't Read Culture Specific Resource File

Dear Sirs,
i know there are lot of thread out there about localization, but most of them go over same rule, or are not enough complete that i be able to get them,...
Here's my issue, i use win form localization for UI, and every things is fine, then i pass the culture i want to application thread before start it, and every thing goes fine.
But when i want to handle error msg's... or Etc...i use Resource file exist over Resources, and my Resharper point to that, using command like
Resource.<ResourceName>;
So after doing every thing, i made an other resource file, copy exist text item in main resource file,
put a name like Resource.en-US.resx on it and then compile it, it generate a sub folder, or maybe two,
after it i run app, with passing culcure of en-US , and then the application went right, but when it come to show code resources, like what i talked about, it used the old default culture text messages...
what should i do? where do i go wrong?
I even tried to copy the resource dll file of en-US calture in exact bin folder, but it still didn't worked.
the thing i follow were on a thread of MSDN help.

I am afraid that we are not clear about what the error is and how you use these resources, I would recommend you share the detailed code with us, you could comment all sensitive data or if possible you could just create a simple winform project, and reproduce
that issue, then share it with us by uploading it to OneDrive.

JSF inputText Field localization

I tried to create the same search field as we have it here on the upper right corner and localize it.
<h:inputText id="search" value="#{bundle.search}" onfocus= 'if (this.value=="#{bundle.search}") this.value=""' />But every time on submitting i got following exception:

Collaboration Room Link on Tool Area Bar. Possible?

we have collabration rooms which dispays under My rooms for a particular user.Now a user wants to access a single room from somewhere Tool Area iview so that he need not have to navigate to next page for My room iview and then access.
We can do that by changing the URL link of help option with room URL,so that he can click on Help on Tool Area and acees it.But how can i change the name from HELP to some other.I think its not possible?please Confirm.
Is there any possibility to add one more link same as HELP
somewhere on Tool Area and give Room URl to access the room.
Or anyother good option.

You wanted to know how to change the name "HELP" in the toolarea iView, because as you correctly said, to change the link you only need to change an iView parameter. So only for the label "Help" you need to touch the PAR file. But actually I was misguided by your text, cause the Help link is in the masthead iView and not in the tool area, so you need to change the text in the localization files headeriView_nls(_XX).properties located in com.sap.portal.navigation.masthead.par
to2: For achieving that the links are only visible for some specific users you need to implement some additional logic in the ToolAreaiView.jsp

Localization proposal

Our application is a Java Swing application. We are extensively using ResourceBundle concept for storing all string literals.
Each sub application will have its own ResourceBundle class and an interface to access it. Whichever class that wants to use this ResouceBundle will implement this interface.
My query is� currently they are planning to come up a Japanese Version of our application.
What can be best approach which will not invite too much of rework?
Constraints are: we are going to maintain the same stream in clearcase to submit these files as well.
but a separate load build is planned for japanese installer.
I actually created a prototype to show it as demo to clients, wherein I made a copy of existing ResourceBundle file and renamed it into <ResourceBundle>_ja
In the interface, I directly changed the reference to point to japanese version of ResourceBundle. For demo purpose, it was okayed and it was not delivered into
mainsteam as well because it would replace the original interface version.
Possible options discussed here are�
1. Going for .properties file and in xml call the separate version directly by using the same key
2. TMX version of localization (this involves complete rework of our application which is not accepted here)
Can anyone suggest me how to go about?
