Is it possible to downgrade back to Acrobat X with Creative Cloud?

Acrobat XI seems to be extremely unstable. The data entry form I have been working on has crashed at least 5 times within the last hour. I never had this problem with Acrobat X using the same file so I would like to roll back to X until XI becomes more stable.

Downgrading is not possible.
Please reply with your operating system version. We will get the issue resolved.

  • Two versions of Acrobat installed with Creative Cloud

I have just installed Acrobat through my Creative Cloud account and have found 2 versions in the Uninstall Programs listing.  Assuming one is 32 and the other 64 bit, I can only find Acrobat listed in the Adobe file in x86 Programs.  As they are very large files, I would like to remove the 32 bit version if this is possible?  In the Uninstall Programs there is no indication which is which but I am assuming the larger file is 64 bit?  Is there a way to only install 64 bit programs from the Suite in future as the same thing happened with Photoshop?  In the ordinary download version of the programs you get the choice of what to install.

That may simply be a fluke entry. Sometimes this happens with "chained" install packages that produce separate signatures in the Windows Registry. Also, if you have the "show updates" option enabled, naturalyl the sub-pacjages would show. Therefore you may find that when you uninstall both entries disappear only to both also reappear on reinstall...

  • Deploying Acrobat DC with Creative Cloud Packager

How are you guys deploying Acrobat DC with the Creative Cloud Packager?
In this Adobe's article for the CC Packager, it says, "For Acrobat DC, Exception Deployer Application is not required. For Acrobat DC, you only need to run the setup.exe ... you need to run the main CCP package msi after running the Acrobat DC setup.exe. However you need to run Exception deployer in postmode, if there are other application (except Acrobat DC) in the Exceptionsfolder of win package."And when they say, "run the setup.exe", they actually mean from the command line using a bunch of (undocumented?) parameters.I noticed that when I run the Exception Deployer in post mode, it deploys Acrobat DC, contrary to what the article says.

    Hi Ric,
the licensing information is installed by the setup.exe or the MSI in the "build" directory, so you need to execute that as well, e.g.
    cd Exceptions\APRO15.0en_US\Adobe Acrobat\
    start /wait msiexec /i "AcroPro.msi" /qn /lv* %TEMP%\AcrobatInstall.log
    cd ..\..\..\Build
    start /wait msiexec /i "PackageName.msi" /qn /lv* %TEMP%\PackageName.log
    cd ..\Exceptions
    ExceptionDeployer --workflow=install --mode=post
Note that if you choose to use the msiexec method to install Acrobat, the default language will be determined by the operating system language.
The ExceptionDeployer is necessary for the possibility there are other applications in the package (e.g. Edge Code, Scout) which need to be installed after the main "build" directory's packages.
    Hope that helps,
    Dominic

  • Trial of Acrobat conflicts with Creative cloud membership

I started a trial of Acrobat a couple of months ago.  Soon afterwards, I subscribed to the Creative Cloud.
My trial membership to Acrobat is up in 30 days. Now I am getting popup notices of its imminent expiration.  How do I stop this behavior? It's interrupting my workflow.

    Uninstall it ???

You cannot downgrade your software. The only way you can downgrade your software is by jailbreaking your device (which can be risky if you dont know what your doing). Remember if you are downgrading by jailbreaking it will void your warranty with Apple - and you could run the risk of disabling your device.
However, im not too sure about the YouTube problem, my only guess is that since it is not an original app that comes with the iOS software.

That is possible, John, but it is only speculation on your part. Might, not will.

There is a "Lightroom 6" upgrade available for US $79 if you have a valid license for any of the earlier versions. From what I can tell, the only difference between Lightroom 6 Full, Lightroom 6 Upgrade and LightroomCC is in the license. The download file is the same.
Other differences - with CC you get LrMobile/LrWeb and they throw in a free copy of Photoshop too.
Yes, but when I bought my standalone license and clicked on the "Download" button it took me to the LightroomCC page. The downloaded file is named Lightroom 6, but in the CC app the installed program is LightroomCC (2015).

  • Is it possible to use the fonts I have in my Mac Font Book with Creative Cloud software, such as Illustrator and Photoshop?

Is it possible to use the fonts I have in my Mac Font Book with Creative Cloud software, such as Illustrator and Photoshop?

    Hi Kyley,
Syncing fonts from CC is a feature of Typekit. However, fonts that you've installed manually on your system will be available in all your apps. You won't need to sync them.
I hope that helps. Let me know if you have any further questions.
    Cheers,

  • Is Acrobat 9 compatible with Creative Cloud programs?

I submitted this in the updates section but didn't get any help.
Is Acrobat 9 compatible with Creative Cloud products such as Photoshop CC and InDesign? Will I be forced to upgrade to Acrobat XI or can I keep using Acrobat 9 with the Creative Cloud programs?
    Any help is appreciated, thanks.

Acrobat 9 should be fine with PDFs you generate with CC apps. I don't believe any of the apps will let you choose a lvel of security that requires Acrobat 10 and up, which is the only stumbling block I can think of.

  • Acrobat Pro on Creative Cloud

This issue is happening to our PC. We have a monthly subscription to Acrobat Pro on Creative Cloud and have used this product for a while now. Within the last week, we are prompted to enter a serial number - I don't have one. I'd like to view and edit PDFs again. What could be wrong? I've followed the directions on Adobe's website, nothing worked. Thanks in advance for your help!

    Hi judyp42215803,
I can see that you purchase Adobe Acrobat XI Pro subscription from Acrobat.com. As you mentioned that it is asking you to enter the serial number, I would request you to kindly try 'Sign In' option and  use your Adobe ID and password to sign in and check the issue.

  • HT1766 What if an ipad is the only device you have from Apple? How could you back your things up with the cloud ?

Hi my issue is that I dropped my ipad, and the screen is now blue. I have tried pressing the power button and the center button (I even pit it on the charger), but the screen is still blue. My questions are am i covered to get a replacement, and how do I back-up my stuff with the cloud if the ipad is my only apple device?

If you didn't have iCloud backup turned on before you broke it, you are out of luck.
Accidental damage is not covered by warranty.
You can get an out of warranty replacement from Apple for around $250.

  • Installing Acrobat 10 using creative cloud membership

I have a new iMac (OS 10.9) I am installing creative cloud on. I have a plugin that doesn't support Acrobat 11, however I cannot seem to install Acrobat 10 through my creative cloud membership (which seems odd, as I can install other old CS6 apps). I found a trial version, however it requires me to enter a serial number. Is there any way to use my creative cloud memberhsip to install Acrobat 10?

Acrobat 10 is not available with Creative Cloud. So you cannot install it using your membership.
We can try to solve the compatibility problem with your plugin with Acrobat 11 though. Please provide some information of your plugin.

  • Install again Acrobat Reader in Creative Cloud

I need to install again Acrobat Reader in creative cloud, how I do it, if it appears that is already installed?
I have to erase it and need to install again, but it shows: up to date.

    Hi wgmstudio,
I believe you are referring to Acrobat Professional showing up as up to date in your Creative cloud.
Please refer to the help document below to fix this:
CC desktop lists applications as "Up to Date" when not installed
