Is it possible to download a book in Ibooks format from other websites to your itunes account on the PC?

I am currently writing a manual in Ibooks author for my company that is going on the company web server; the server requires a common access card to access the server. Because of this downloading the Ibook directly to an Ipad isn’t an option.
The work around I was thinking of using is logging on a pc with your common access card that has an itunes account, downloading it to the pc and then syncing it via the cable to the IPAD. is this possible?
I have read under the FAQ section, “Can I download books from other websites?” the answer says you can download ePub and PDF files on your Mac or PC, but doesn’t mention the Ibook format?
When I was on Itunes I noticed you could download books to your PC in the Ibooks format. But it doesn’t mention anything from another server.

Yes, you can use another server for .ibooks format. You can also directly email it if your system can take the size.

Download Address Book

My Address Book application is suddenly missing after upgrading to Tiger 10.4.3. Is it possible to download address book only or do I have to revert to the Tiger disk and do a custom install of ONLY address book? Alternatively, do I have to wait for the next Tiger upgrade 10.4.4? House of Pain.

I doubt if you could install Address Book singly as a custom install directly from disk. You will need a program like Pacifist to do that which allows you to select individual packets to install. It's shareware you can try without charge so look it up - but be careful only to install AddressBook - you can do anything to your system with Pacifist, including messing things up.
One more question - do you still have all your AddressBook data? In Panther, this was in Username>Library>Application support>AddressBook

Every purchase page for an ebook has a section that says "Requirements". What does that say for your particular book? That should give you the answer to your question. Conversion is normally not possible.
But there are some exceptions. Please provide the Title of the book if you want further help.

I would recommend against installing an old font management application into 10.5 as the way fonts are handled has changed as OS X has evolved and you may find yourself in even deeper water. If you read Kurt Lang's article as sig suggested in your other post then you must surely have noticed that he states

If you want to reinstall FontBook without having to do a complete reinstall then download Pacifist I suggest you then follow Kappy's instructions in this thread in order to reinstall FontBook.
If you don't want to use FontBook then consider investing in Suitcase, FontAgent Pro or FontExplorer X which evolved from the old free Linotype FontExplorer X.

Yes, it is possible and the main purpose of IDocs is actually the information exchange between the systems. You might want to read some theory on this first and user Search if you have questions about particular IDoc types:

I was able to download library books to read on iphone 4s. I have overdrive app and would like to download audiobooks from the library.

Please advise. I have iphone 4s and downloaded Overdrive app to obtain audiobooks from library. I am able to download books as content for reading, but have not been able to successfully figure out how to download audiobooks. When you select a book you need to choose the audiobook version and not the ebook version. You have downloaded ebooks in the past.

I Just figured this out. I had downloaded a bunch of books on my iPhone and had the greyed-out issue on my iPad with sync collections enabled. Had tried all the same fixes as indicated in this thread and others without success. What worked was restarting my iPad (this may not be a necessary stage) and searching for the titles that were stuck In the iBooks store. As expected each showed an 'in progress' download button. I was finally able to tap this to stop the (non-existent) download, which hadn't been possible within 'My Books' or the 'Purchased' tab on the store. When I tapped the button briefly jumped to 'Read' then changed to the standard iCloud download button for a previous purchase. Tapping this successfully initiated the download, which then synced into the right collection in my library.

try going into settings, safari and clear history. You may also want to clear cookies (means you will need to sign back into sites)
It's possible that that page is a popup ad of some sort that can't run, for example a flash based ad. You may have picked the cookie up browsing the internet and now that it's in there the only way to get rid of it is to clear your history and cookies.

Yes it is done through iTunes. The iPhone will never show up in Finder as a device.
