Is it possible to download photos from Gallery (Mobile Me)?

Is is possible to download photos from the Mobile Me Gallery onto the iPad?
I installed the Mobile Me Gallery application but it seems it only allows me to view photos-not download them.
I then went to the Gallery web site and same-I can only view photos.

Just to add my 2 cents. I
f you are viewing the Gallery and see a picture you want. Hold your finger on the screen until you get the message to "save image or copy" select save image and it will be placed inside your photo app.

  • Is it possible to download photos from ipad to external hard drive?

I am wondering if it would be possible to use ipad with retina to get photos from camera to an external hard drive?  We are hoping to do this for holiday snaps over an extended period without having to take a laptop with us.

I've never tried myself, but you can look at these options
There are some wireless external hard drives that can be used with the iPad.
The Kingston Wi-Drive, which costs $50 for the 16 Gigabyte, and then $30 more for every 16 gigs more. It works by you turning it on and then accessing the files on it from an app that you download on your iDevice. You can access music, movies, and other stuff. No connections or anything, it works like a WiFi connection, you connect to it from the setting on the iPad under wireless networks.
Then there is the Seagate GoFlex, which some would recommend over the Wi-Drive. But this one costs $199 and had 500 Gigabytes of storage. It works the sameway as the Kingston: no wires, runs over its wireless connection. You can actually fit up to 300 HD movies on it.
    Another option:
Expand your iPad's storage capacity with HyperDrive

  • Is it possible to download photos from photo stream

I can find information about photo stream, how to turn it on, but what I need to know is how to get photos off the stream and onto any device?  Is this possible?  If not what's the use, the photos will be gone after certain  number of days.
I dont want to just see the stream as it doesn't last, I thought the whole idea was to be able to get them from one device to another.
Specifically if I load photos to my lap top can I download them to my ipad.  Not view the stream, download them.
    Thanks,
    DMW

No knickers in a twist here - just curious how tediously performing a 4-step manual process to save photos one-by-one (up to the 1000 maximum every 30 days) from PhotoStream to the iPad Photo Library is more convenient than simply syncing any number of photos in one action from iTunes (and enabling a backup of them at the same time)?
As shown in Apple's publicity, PhotoStream is primarily a conduit for transferring photos taken on an iPhone or iPad to other devices you own for viewing and to your computer for backup/editing/organising purposes. The master photo library is on your Mac, from where you can sync any number of photos in one action.
Whats the point of the stream if you have to go to iTunes?
The point is to have 1000 of your latest photos automatically 'synced' between all of your devices, automatically for viewing purposes. Plus, it automatically transfers them to the iCloud server ready to be downloaded automatically to your computer. Imagine you're on holiday without your computer, you spend the day taking photos, connect to WiFi in the evening and your photos are safely uploaded to iCloud. So, even if you lose your iPhone or iPad, your photos aren't lost.
The fact that you can't put the pictures into any event or create a new one or add to an album besides camera roll is a bit disappointing.
That's why you manage your photos on your computer in iPhoto or Aperture and then sync organised albums to the Photos app on your iPad via iTunes. The photos you've taken on an iPhone or iPad will automatically appear in iPhoto or Aperture (via PhotoStream over WiFi) ready for you to edit, organise and sync for permanent viewing.
It sounds like you're trying to use PhotoStream for photo organisation and syncing from your computer - which it isn't really designed for (hence the multi-step, convoluted, non-obvious, tedious method of saving photos from PhotoStream permanently).

  • Is it possible to download photos from iPad to Internet sites?

I was trying to put some photos on a Craigslist listing and couldn't figure out how to add photos to the listing

Are you using a Craig's List app - there are several. They have features to upload photos.

  • HT4108 Will it be possible to download photos direct from a Cannon or Nikon camera to a iPadHD?

Will it be possible to download photos directly from a Cannon or Nikon camera on to a iPadHD?

You have to use Apple's Camera Connection Kit. It's best to import from the camera's SD card, rather than connect the camera.

  • Is it possible to download pictures from the iPad to a pc?

Is it possible to download pictures from the iPad to a pc?

Yes as long as they are the pictures that you took with the camera. Any pictures that are in the camera roll can be imported to the computer.
You need some sort of camera application like iPhoto on a Mac or Windows Explorer or Windows Live Photo Gallery on a PC.
This article explains how to import the photos.

  • Connectivity Cable CA-53 to download photos from A...

I am finding it impossible to download photos from my A6230i phone to my PC via Cable CA-53.  Nokia Phone Browser in Nokia PC Suite does not show any photos in Gallery and yet the phone says there is no room left for any more shots.  Can anyone advise, please?

The easiest way is to get 'WiFi File Transfer' from the Google Play Store:
    https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.smarterdroid.wififiletransfer
It will give you a local web address to access the file system and download items using your browser (this is purely local).

  • Download photos from CANNON A620  to my iMac21.5

I have downloaded photos from my CANNON A620 for over a year. I use both iPhoto, and many created photo files.
Since a new SAFARI update a few nights ago, my camera is not recognized, even in my "Image Capture" app.
ANY SUGGGESTION how to download new images?

I used to have that exact camera - now I really don't think that a browser update would have anything to do with your ability to transfer photos from your camera. Did you change any settings on what to do with an attached camera either in iPhoto or in the CD & DVD Preference Pane in System Preferences?
To rule out a possible problem with the card or the camera, can you try transferring the photos using a USB card reader instead of the camera.

  • Download photos from old phone, but can't see the screen

Download photos from a LG Spectrum 2 that quit working, my contacts came over from whenever the last backup was, there were some of them missing as well.  I can't see the screen on Spectrum 2, but the power button light is illuminated if plugged into a charger.  My Spectrum 2 has an internal SD card, so not just as easy as obtaining from the SD card.

        prweaver2,
I am sorry for the issues you are having. Without having access to the on screen prompts of the phone the media can not be transferred unless it was previously backed up somewhere such as the VZW Cloud or another 3rd party storage. If you would like you can try to gain access to the media by plugging the device into a computer and transfer the media however this many not be possible as you must enable USB Mass Storage on the device. Check out the steps here... http://vz.to/1Bfnlig

  • HT1678 How do I synch/download photos from my iPod classic to my computer, which has a Windows operating system?  Thanks.

I am trying to download photos from my iPod to either an external hard drive or my computer, which has a Windows operating system. The iPod should function like an external hard drive, right?  My photo files/computer/hard drive were damaged. Can I put my photos on the iCloud, and then save on external drive?  Not sure how to o this either.  I lost a few years of baby photos. Thanks for any help!

iTunes syncing to iPods (that are not iPod touch) mostly goes one way, from computer to iPod.  For photos, at the time you synced the photos to the iPod, there is a setting that you needed to have enabled in iTunes if you later want to recover them from the iPod.  This setting is on the iPod's Photos tab in iTunes (where you set up photo syncing).  There is a checkbox for Include full-resolution photos.
IF that checkbox was checked, you can Enable disk use on the iPod's Summary tab, and find the full-res photo files in the Photos folder on the iPod.  Otherwise (if setting not checked), when iTunes syncs the photos to the iPod, iTunes converts the images to a very low-resolution version that is optimized to fit the small iPod screen and stores the image data in a single database file (to save storage space).  There may be third-party software that can extract separate photos from that database file, but the resulting photos will look bad blown up to computer screen size.

  • I cannot download photos from my digital camera to Iphoto (version '09). I have been able to successfully do this up to 4 days ago but not yesterday. My camera/device is recognized in the Source List but photos won't download for me to import to library.

I cannot download photos from my digital camera (via a cable) to Iphoto (version '09). I have been able to do this successfully up til 4 days ago but not yesterday (Dec. 25th). My camera/device is recognized in the Source List, but when it tries to download the photos, all I get are the words "Loading Photos" in the area where the thumbnail pictures usually display. The little "gear" symbol next to the words but it just goes round and round. Nothing ever downloads, and instead of showing me how many pictures there are to import it just says "No photos". So therefore I cannot import the photos to my library since they won't even download.
I was getting an error message a few days ago that my Iphoto library was getting full, so I emptied my trash in both Iphoto and on my computer. I had this same problem back in October and emptying the trash and getting rid of some photos did help (can I really be using that much storage space for the pictures?). But it didn't help this time.
Any suggestions as to what to do to solve the problem? I would try taking the SD card out and inserting that into the slot on the computer to see if I could load pictures that way; but the last time I did that, they wouldn't load. Not sure if I lost pics from the disc or not.
    Thank you,
    Novice50

    1. You did not get an error message telling you that your iPhoto library was getting full. You got a message telling you that your HD was getting full, right?
OS X needs about 10 gigs of hard drive space for normal OS operations - things like virtual memory, temporary files and so on.
Without this space your Mac will slow down as the OS hunts for space on the disk, files will be fragmented, also slowing things down, apps will crash and the risk of data corruption - that is damage to your files, photos, music - increases exponentially.
Your first priority is to make more space on that HD. Nothing else can be done until you do.
Purchase an external HD and move your Photos and Music to it. Both iPhoto and iTunes can run perfectly well with the Library on an external disk.
Your Library has been damaged from being run on an overfull disk.
How much free space on it now?

  • How can I download photos from my android to my (2011) mac

I have an iMac 12,1 running OS X 10.6.8, 4GB memory, processor 2.5 GHz and want to download photos from my G4 Android phone.  I can't find a slot that the mini memory card fits into, and have read that I can connect my phone to a USB port and download photos that way.  But the iMac doesn't seem to know that the phone is hooked up to the port.  Can you help me?  I am new to this older computer, which I purchased from a friend.  THANKS!!

This is just the way I transfer photos on my phone to my computer.
I created an email account exclusively for this and sent the photos from my phone to the email account.
Then it was just a matter of logging into the email account from my computer and downloading the images.

Been in the iMac world now all of 2 days.  I'm glad to have USB capability.  I downloaded photos from a Centron flash drive and now need to remove the flash drive.  Do you eject flash drives on iMacs as we did on PC's?  Can't find an answer in the support area.  Thanks...

Yes. All external drives regardless of how they are connected must be ejected before they can be unplugged.
