Is it possible to drill down in a saved group?

Hi
I’ve created a Group via the selections steps, saved the group and now in the selections steps I’ve done the following:
Article - Description
1. Start with 'Top 5'
2. Then, New Step...
Now, if I see the group in a table, how can I drill down in this Top 5 group to see its members in the table?

If you have a hierarchy defined, I think you should be able to drill.
Otherwise you can create an action towards another report to show you the needed information.

I was looking for drill down capability in graphs. Example my query returns parent - child relationship. It could have upto 3-4 levels. Is it possible to drill down on a per level basis using oracle graphs?

What I've seen, is people using a component to render the graph (Flex Charting or something else) and then put that rendered graph in the form data before it's being merged with the template.

QM data: how to drill down to individual measurements?

Hi,
I have installed 6 of the QM-cubes from business content - so far, so good. Now, I have been asked if it is possible to drill down to the individual measurements in the quality inspections. I am trying to assess if it is possible. As far as I can see it is not possible with the business content.
Apparrently it has been done before (in an other SAP installation), but the person who claim that it is possible, cannot give further details...
My best idea is to use the 'Quality Management - Statistical Data Interface'
(https://www.sdn.sap.com/sdn/services.sdn?page=statistical_data_interface.htm and http://help.sap.com/saphelp_47x200/helpdata/en/a6/b49fa7538c11d189570000e8323352/frameset.htm). All the data sources seem to do some kind of aggregation; I guess 2LIS_05_QE2 is the datasource that is closest to what I need.
Also I cannot find any usefull info on QM-STI other than the two links above...
Any ideas?

You have two alternatives:
1. Enhance the business content with fields that identify the required level of detail
2. Define a RRI target to your R/3-System
I would prefer loading detailed information to ODS objects.

Diplaying matrix with drill down (toggle visibility) enabled for 4 row groups

I have a matrix in SSRS 2012 with 4 row groups representing a product hierarchy. Product Sub Group, Product, Sub Product and Account Number are the levels of the hierarchy. I have enabled drill down (toggle item visibility) on the first
3 of these levels.
This works great, but my matrix is very wide when it is first rendered. Ideally I want my matrix to expand horizontally as I expand/drill down into each grouping. So when the report is first rendered, and 3 of the groups are invisible, the
matrix will be thin. Is this possible?

Hi Gabe,
Based on my test, it cannot achieved in SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS).
We can hide these column contents in matrix, however, we cannot hide the space in the report. In this situation, I recommend you use table to display these data.
Alternative, we can add a drill-down in the column group to hide the column group when it is first rendered. Please refer to the following screenshot:

I tried what you suggested...it returns the entire tree stucture. (returns ALL folder structure with indent....runs into hundreds of pages)
The problem I face is that...for a specific folder 'D7'...I need the structure....
(possibly a drill-down or drill-up structure or both if it is in the middle of the tree structure)
Let me explain....
My question is not that simple:
1. If I am given a FOLDER_RSN = D7 (could be any...but I am picking one as required by my business here)
2. Objective is to display drill-down/ drill-up/ or both structure of D7
Scenarios:
a. D7 could be a top-node parent
b. D7 could be a sub-parent under top-node parent.
c. D7 could be a sub-parent under another sub-parent
I would prefer a SQL statement referring the image...makes it easy to solve !!!

Drill down on direct database request

Hi all,
I would like to know if its possible to drill down in a table created with a direct database request. I've created the direct request and run it perfectly, but drilling down is not enabled and I, even thought I've looked for it, I couldnt find any option to enable it. I've also checked privileges just in case it had something to do with this, but didnt see anything neither.
To sum up, could anyone tell me if drilling down is possible in direct database request and, if so, how can I achieve it?

Note: in MS SQL + is for concat, you might have to change based on your db.

Show detail of ALL groups in drill-down

I have a Drill-Down report with 3 groups. When drilling down on one of the 3rd level groups for details, is it possible to show the detail of ALL the 3rd level groups?
For instance, when drilling down on Group 2, I get:
Group 1
     Group 2
          Group 3
          Group 3
Now when drilling down on one of the Group 3's above, I would like to get the details of both Group 3's (not just the group 3 I selected):
Group 1
     Group 2
          Group 3
               Details
               Details
               Etc.
          Group 3
               Details
               Etc.

If you apply individual group, it's not possible.
However if you apply only one group and apply hierarchical group sort then you can achieve it.
Please refer to Crystal Reports help and search for hierarchical group for more information.

Yes you can! You'll however need to create a separate report that will act as the dril-down report.
There are two ways: The first method is using the u2018Another Report Objectu2019 and the second method is using an u2018OpenDocu2019 URL
Report A would act as the Main report and Report B would be the report that would be drilled-down into. The target report needs to have the same groups as the Crosstab Report(Main report).

Drill down in Columns

I am currently working on a report that have the drill down capabilites in rows. In other works, when I drill down in rows, the dependants show up. However, I also want to drill down in columns but it does not work.
Example: I have the total year as a heading of a column. Is it possible to drill down and have new columns show up for quarters and months?

I set the option as "Expand by overwriting rows" and then try the drill down again. IT WORKED!
The only thing about drill down by columns is that if you want to drill down to HLEVEL ="6" then you have to set the current view at Hlevel="4" with the MemberSet of SELF,DEP. Once this is set, one should be able to drill down at the dependant of Hlevel="4" to drill down and display Hlevels 5 & 6.

a way of inmplementig a drill-down report in PDF would be to
create hyperlinks in your report that link either back to the
same report, passing different parameters or linking to anoother
report.
when a user then displays the report the hyperlinks will enable
to "drill-down" by (re-)executing a report.

Drill down in Geo Map

Hi,
Is it possible to drill down from World Map to country specific map by clicking on the country? The "Functions of the Advanced Geo Function Bar" white paper mentioned Drilldown function in Context menu. However, I could not find Drilldown entry.
If it is possible, how can I set it up?

Drill down on cross tab report

I would like to know whether it is possible to drill down through groups in a cross tab report.

go to your online help in crystal reports and in the index section, look up "report part navigation".
read through the sections on report parts and go through each section (using the right arrow at the bottom left of the help page) until you hit the section that is titled "context Report Part option scenarios".

Drill down via the legend icons

I created a line chart. Via navigate it's possible to drill down to a another report. Is it also possible to drill down via the legend icons?
