Is it possible to edit tracks / chapters for audiobooks?

Hello,
Says it all in the title really. A google search gave me plenty of info on ripping cd based audiobooks etc. but I couldn't find out if it is possible to simply edit track / chapters names in iTunes like you can do with book and author etc.

You can change the name in the Pages preferences > General. The time you have to delete each time.

Possible to edit the metadata for iTunes music?

I'm trying to consolidate my iTunes libraries from 3 computers onto one. I used senuti to transfer my music from my MBP and another iMac onto my main iMac via my iPod and must not have specified that I wanted to import the metadata along with the tunes themselves. I now need to sort my music by "date added" and find that a whole chunk of my library shows the date/time of the senuti imports instead of the date the songs were originally added to iTunes. As a result, since all of the imported songs show the exact same date and time of being added, when I sort by "date added" I get a long alphabetical listing of all the songs I imported, instead of listing them album-by-album.
Is there a way to edit the metadata for the music I senutied, so I can have the correct "date added" info for the albums?

Sorry I wasn't clear about the Time Machine reference. I was explaining my reluctance to roll back to a previous version of my main library if the changes I had made to the MBP library were going to prevent me from importing its .xml.

Possible to edit description field for TV Shows and Movies?

When I buy a movie or TV show from the iTunes Store, a description appears in the aptly titled Description field. Is it possible to add descriptions for movies and TV shows that I add to iTunes through other sources? I don't see any place to add that information.

How is it possible to edit tracks?

i was wondering, if i want to cut out a specific part of a song...
lets say 0:15 to 1:52 is what i want...but the song is eleven minutes long...
this song is not copyrighted, it is home recorded
so is there any way i could do this through itunes?

You can remove the beginning and/or end of a song by setting the start and stop times. In the iTunes library, right-click on the song, "Options" to and enter the appropriate time(s). This will do what you want if by "cut out" you mean "keep only," but not if you meant "get rid of."
When you set the start and stop times, it affects the playback but does not shorten the file. If you want a new smaller file with only the remaining section, right-click and "Convert Selection to mp3." (At your discretion, you may then either keep or discard the original full length file.)
If you want to do anything fancier than just remove a beginning and end section, you will need a 3rd party editor as Robert suggests.

Can't edit narrator field for audiobooks in iTunes

I noticed a new "narrator" field in iTunes for the Audiobook media kind, but I can't edit it.
Also, I can't seem to edit the "Remember playback position" and "Skip when shuffling" options. I can fix the second issue by changing it to Music media kind, checking them, and changing it to Audiobook over again; however, seeing as there is no "narrator" field for Music, I can't use that workaround.
I am using iTunes 12.1.0.50.

Grey text when you look at the content and lock symbol at the bottom of the screen simply shows that your iPod is set to "automatically update songs and playlists". . If you want to access your iPod directly, play it through your iTunes, connect it to a second computer etc. you just need to change the update method to "Manually manage songs and Playlists" in the iPod preferences. One thing to remember about manually updating though is that the iPod also has to be manually ejected before the "Do Not Disconnect" message will go away. Safely disconnect iPod

The iPod offers three ways to transfer music from your computer. You can select one of the following update modes from the iPod Preferences menu in iTunes (Edit=>Preferences=>'iPod' tab):
1) Automatically update all songs and playlists. This is the default mode, in which your entire music library, including playlists, is automatically synced to your iPod. If the music library on your computer exceeds the iPod storage capacity, you are prompted to select a different update method.
2) Automatically update selected playlists only. With this option, iTunes automatically copies the playlists you have selected to the iPod when you connect it to the computer.

How to edit character layout for repeat QG

Is it possible to edit the layout for repeat QG that makes each question left aligned? I checked the Prompt Position as Left in the QG level. However when the the default character layout being generated, several Questions stucks into one row and each repeat connected very close.
What I entend to do is set Question in one row and align all items left and there is some space between each repeat. Is it possible? Thanks

Always great to have more web developers working with webtools! I have a background very similar to yours. When it comes to things like modifying the partslist page is when webtools starts to get a bit more complicated for web based developers as opposed to application based developers. Webtools is written in C# (very similar to C) and much of the application is actually compiled into DLLs and these DLLs are copy written so the source is not available.
Some of the application is exposed, for example on the Partdetail.aspx page you will find many controls referenced that can be edited from the B1webtools/catalog/controls/ folder found under InetPub. The main thing to be careful of is not removing any controls from the page as often times these controls are being referenced by DLL running in the background. Instead you could set their visibility to false, something like this:

So to answer your question, modifying the Partslist(other than removing columns) will involve building your own partslist using the API, but to edit partslist.aspx you can open up the partslist master page in a HTML editor and move things around or edit the individaul controls on the page.
Have you seen our demo themes at [www.businessoneecommerce.com]? The have modified master pages, but no modifications to the partslist or other hard coded areas of the application. Generally when i am modifying a theme, I tend to just edit the master pages to wipe out table formatting and add in divs and turn certain controls off, then i style the majority of the site with CSS.

How can I share the work iTunes with my home iTunes so I can work from home? Need to be able to share playlists and files for editing tracks.

I've just started working for a media company that provides the music for sporting events. They use iTunes to create playlists that I have to load into an IR machine with hot keys. I also have to edit tracks to create new stings and intros. As there is a 2.5 hour commute, I want to access the work iTunes library from my home MBP so I can work from home. When I'm at work I can share the work iTunes library, but when I'm back home I can't use it. Any ideas of how I could effectively Home Share over the internet with two seperate iTunes accounts?
The work iMac is running 10.7.5 and my MBP is 10.8.4

Ah yes school boy error there out of frustration and discontent..
My issue is with music/apps/films etc not downloading from iTunes / App Store.
They initially fail and message is displayed stating unable to download / purchase at this time, yet if I retry it says I've already purchased (?) or alternatively I go to the purchased section and there they are waiting with the cloud symbol..
However some items get frozen in the download window and cannot be retried or deleted. Message appears stating to tap to retry, but even if you stole every bath and sink in the uk you'd still not have enough taps.
I post here as the iTunes guys are useless in there 'help' and have only advised posting here or phoning apple, at my expense, to explain a problem that could be rectified by forwarding my original email to a techie. However the tech team apparently don't have an email address as they're from ye olde Middle Ages..!
Anyways I digress.
So I tried sync to pc, but instead of showing the file as ready to listen/use/view, the iCloud symbol shows and I'm back to square one as the item is unable to download..
At frustration station waiting for a train from pain...
All my software is up to date, and had all worked fine prior to the last big iOS update that resulted in all the changes in display and dismay.

I need to use a Sales BOM but the problem is that the child items in any Document marketing, such as Sales Order, the quantity for that child items it´s possible to edit independant of the father item code, and I don´t want this because allows to users to change diferent quantity for child items versus the quantity of the father item code.

Is it possible to edit a file made with 8.1 for word using acrobat 9 pro??

I have a PDF file which seems to have been created using acrobat 8.1 file maker for Word. Is it possible to edit this file using acrobat 9 pro extended and if so how do i go about this..
When i select the tools menu, no options become available and there is no secuirty enabled on the file.

If you have Acrobat Pro Extended that is a PC Product. You've clicked on wrong Forum. Go back to main page the click on Acrobat and choose PC forum. Extend has such features as XML based PDF Forms which Acrobat Pro Mac can't handle.

NWDI - Track locked for editing in another session

While editing Track Data in the CMS Landscape Configurator my browser session died unexpectedly. I logged back in, but now when I try to enter Change mode on the Track Data tab, I get a message saying the "Track is locked for editing by (me) in another session". How do I unlock the track? I have searched Help documents, SAP Notes, and this forum but have not found any details.
Version is NetWeaver 2004s SP13

A co-worker helped me figure it out. We went to the visual administrator and killed the session. That released the lock.

Usually the browser session will get unlocked on its own after some particular time. Incase this is not so in your case, a restart of the CMS server might help.

I can no longer edit or add the track information for tv shows and movies. If, for example, there are 26 episodes of a tv show in a season and I want to edit their entries in iTunes to reflect 1 of 26, 2 of 26, 3 of 26, and so on, how do I do that? With the 12.1 update, they took away the old info box. Very irritating.

Chapters for multiple iMovie projects (movies) in a single iDVD project

I sent three iMovie '11 projects with chapter markers to Media Browser. I dragged each of the movies from the Media Browser into a single iDVD project. Dragging the first movie resulted in the creation of one button named "play movie" and one button named "scene selections". But dragging in the second and third movies resulted in only a "play movie" button for each movie--no "scene selections". Does iDVD not allow multiple movies to have sub-menus? Am I required to combine the three projects while still in iMovie (such that there is in effect only two levels possible, not three)? From the description of how to create a project in iDVD, I was under the impression that I could have three main buttons (Sydney, Matakohe, and Brisbane), and have each sporting chapters. It would change the organization substantially to have reduce the structure to only two levels. And I've seen nothing that says this cannot be done.

Thanks for your comments. It strikes me as exceedingly odd that a program that is made for creating projects out of multiple movies provides scene selections (chapters) for only the first movie added. I also find it odd that this little fact is not mentioned anywhere and that I am apparently the first person in history to want to have a sub-menu for each movie in a project. I have had many views on this discussion group and on the iMovie '11 discussion group, but yours is the only answer so far. Why does the manual or Help (for both iDVD and iMovie) not say "Oh, by the way, you can add all the movies you want, but don't expect to get any chapters for them" (it makes little sense to provide chapters for one movie, if you can't for the rest). And, in iMovie: "if you are planning to put more than one movie on a DVD, don't waste your time adding chapter markers. They can't be used in iDVD."
I have Toast Titanium 6. It's a pretty old version, but I was able to use it to use it for something recently. Thanks again.

I Tunes U - Possible to edit RSS feed produced by podcast producer?

Hi people. Two questions
I have a self hosted i tunes u on mac server. Is it possible to edit rss feeds once they have been published by podcast producer? eg remove particular tracks from a particular feed or rename as track for instance?
Also when i tunes u is actually accessed through the interface no track time information is visible for any of of the podcasts? is this a common problem? and does anyone know how to solve it?

Your 'tunes:summary' in the top section of the feed has several instances of the string

You should remove these. You cannot have < or > within a tag and the code won't do either.
The URL in the 'itunes:image' tag includes an aompersand ('&') and this can cause trouble. You should change it to the wrod 'and' in the filename and in the feed (or call it something simpler, no-one sees the filename).
Your 'itunes:summary' and 'itunes:subtitle' tags for the episode have various codes in them - all starting &# something - iTunes will display these codes, not render them, and you should not use them. These tags should contain plain text, no html. This won't render the feed unreadable the way the other errors do, but it looks messy.
