    Hello,
before I used Itunes Match, I converted my Songs in 128k for the Itunes. Is it possible to download the songs from Itunes Match in 128k?
    Thank You

    Try Senuti.
It's a program that transfers music from iPod to iTunes on a Mac.
    As is Music Rescue.
Both of these should work with a Windows formatted iPod because Macs can read and write to FAT32 formatted drives.

  • How to email song from itunes

I need to email a song for a show I am in.  How do I email one song from iTunes?

    Welcome to Apple Support Communities.
The simplest way to send one song from iTunes via email is to drag the song from iTunes onto the desktop, open Mail (or your internet email program), and then upload/Attach the song from the desktop.

I want to delete songs from iTunes Match by unchecking them in my iTunes library on my Mac. Is this possible? If so, how do I change the necessary setting(s) in iTunes or iTunes Match?

I have seen this page, but it seems that this involves deleting songs from my iTunes library in order to remove them from iTunes Match. I want to keep them in my iTunes library, but not in iTunes match (I am over my limit for songs in iTunes Match, and would like to decide which songs to keep in iTunes Match).

  • Buying songs from itunes and emailing them+more

If u buy a song from itunes, can i email it to myself, then open the song on ANOTHER computer in my house?
And when my ipod is connected the the pc,and itunes is open,if there is a firmware update for my ipod, will itunes automatically download it or notify me?

iTunes will tell you there is an update available and give you the option of downloading or waiting for later.
According to iTunes rules you can play your iTunes purchased files on up to 5 machines. All you need to do is authorize the new computer.

Is it possible to download songs from itunes direct to usb as mp3

If you are referring to the iTunes Store, then no, because all songs they sell are in AAC format.  You can buy MP3s from other online stores, such as Amazon MP3.

    Back up all data.
This procedure will unlock all your user files (not system files) and reset their ownership and access-control lists to the default. If you've set special values for those attributes on any of your files, they will be reverted. In that case, either stop here, or be prepared to recreate the settings if necessary. Do so only after verifying that those settings didn't cause the problem. If none of this is meaningful to you, you don't need to worry about it, but you do need to follow the instructions below.
    Step 1
If you have more than one user, and the one in question is not an administrator, then go to Step 2.
Triple-click anywhere in the following line on this page to select it:
    { sudo chflags -R nouchg,nouappnd ~ $TMPDIR..; sudo chown -R $UID:staff ~ $_; sudo chmod -R u+rwX ~ $_; chmod -R -N ~ $_; } 2>&-
Copy the selected text to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C.
Launch the built-in Terminal application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Terminal in the icon grid.
Paste into the Terminal window by pressing command-V. I've tested these instructions only with the Safari web browser. If you use another browser, you may have to press the return key after pasting.
You'll be prompted for your login password. Nothing will be displayed when you type it. You may get a one-time warning to be careful. If you don’t have a login password, you’ll need to set one before you can run the command. If you see a message that your username "is not in the sudoers file," then you're not logged in as an administrator.
The command may take a few minutes to run, or perhaps longer if you have literally millions of files in your home folder. Wait for a new line ending in a dollar sign ($) to appear, then quit Terminal.
    Step 2 (optional)
Take this step only if you have trouble with Step 1, if it frightens you, or if it doesn't solve the problem.
Start up in Recovery mode. When the OS X Utilities screen appears, select
    Utilities ▹ Terminal
from the menu bar. A Terminal window will open.
In the Terminal window, type this:
    res
Press the tab key. The partial command you typed will automatically be completed to this:
    resetpassword
Press return. A Reset Password dialog will open. You’re not going to reset a password.
In the dialog, select the startup volume ("Macintosh HD," unless you gave it a different name) if it's not already selected.
Select your username from the menu labeled Select the user account if it's not already selected.
Under Reset Home Directory Permissions and ACLs, click the Reset button.
    Select
     ▹ Restart
    from the menu bar.

  • Is it possible to delete a song from 5th generation Ipod?

    Hi All
Is it possible to delete a song from 5th generation Ipod, if so, how can this be done?

Connect your iPod Nano to your computer.  Go into iTunes & click on Music or your playlist under "Devices."
Delete the songs from iTunes.  Once deleting is done, eject your iPod Nano.

Is it possible to download songs from Itunes to my Droid device-Samsung Nexus. If so how?

Plug the device into the computer (windows based).
The computer should detect the device as an external drive.
Copy the files from the computer to the device.
Alternatively, Doubletwist is an application that will "sync" from the computer to the device, but personally I found it to be slow and unintuitive.

  • Removing songs from itunes without removing them from ipod

Is it possible to remove songs from iTunes without removing them from iPod? When I attempt to delete songs from iTunes I get a warning that they'll be deleted from iPod as well. I've got Manually manage music and videos checked under Options in the Summary window.

You can delete songs from your iTunes/computer hard drive after transferring them to the iPod, and for this you need to set your iPod to manage the iPod content manually.
However, this is an extremely risky option because when (and not if) there comes a time to restore your iPod, which is a very common fix for iPod problems, then all the music would be erased. If you no longer have the music in iTunes (or any other back up), then all that music would be lost.
What if the iPod were lost/stolen/needed repair? Again, the music would lost. I strongly recommend a back up, and if computer hard drive space is in short supply, you should seriously consider an external hard drive. They are not expensive, and the cost is well worth it when compared to the loss of all your precious music.
At the very least back up your music to either cd or dvd before deleting it, particularly any purchased music/videos, as this would have to be bought again if it were lost. See these about backing up media.
How to back up your media in iTunes.
    Buegie's complete back up strategy.
To move music from iPod to computer, check out the instructions/suggestions here.
Music from iPod to computer (using option 2). This a manual method using "hidden folders" and although it works, it can be messy.
Much easier ways are to use one of the many 3rd party programs that copy music from the iPod to the computer.
One of the most recommended is Yamipod. This is a free program that transfers music and playlists etc from iPod back to the computer. However, it does not transfer playcounts/ratings etc.
Another free program is Pod Player.
There is also CopyPod. This does preserve ratings/playcounts etc if those are important to you but this program is not free. It also supports video transfer.
If you are using iTunes version 7 or later, then you can transfer purchased iTunes store music from the iPod to an authorized computer by using the "file/transfer purchases from iPod" menu. Note that the maximum of 5 authorized computers applies here.

  • Downloading purchased songs from itunes

    Hello,
I have recently purchased about 35 songs from itunes. This was my first time doing this. I have been charged for all 35 songs, however only 15 of them have actually downloaded. I emailed itunes for help and they said they cannot deal with technical support and I am getting very frusterated. I found a thread somewhere that said to go to the advanced menu and click check purchases. I have done this over and over, and when I do it the other 20 songs I have purchased come up but then disappear and fail to download. A pop up then comes up that reads
"There was an error downloading your purchased music. The disk could not be read from or written to. Use the Check for Purchases command under the Advanced menu to try again later."
Well this is exactly what I have been doing, and I have tried it over and over for 3 days now. I have tried turning off my firewall and that didnt do anything either. I don't think it has anything to do with firewalls or priveledges though since about half of them downloaded immediatly.
If anyone has had this happen to them before and knows how to fix it that would be greatly appreciated. I wont be happy if I just lost my money.. even if its only $15.00
    Thanks in advance
    -Kyra

    Is your hard drive full?
    Quit iTunes.
Look in the iTunes music folder for a folder named Downloads.
    Delete the Downloads folder.
Restart iTunes then Check for purchases again.
