Is it possible to exclude folders from sync?

Hi,
I want to prevent spam mail from being downloaded to my Macbook, also because the notifications for spam mail are very annoying. Is it possible to exclude an individual folder from syncing in Apple Mail using IMAP? I read that for example with gmail it is possible to adjust this setting in the gmail account. You can check/uncheck which folders to use for IMAP. I am however using a web.de account and I couldn't find a similar function there.
Alternatively, if that is not possible: Is there a way to at least turn of notifications for an individual folder?
I am using Mail 8.2 and Yosemite 10.10.2

When using Windows 7 Explorer search function, both folders and files are displayed in the results. I need to have a way to see only the files/documents not the folders. I still want the files in subfolders to be included, I just don't need

Can't exclude folders from Time Machine backups

I am trying to exclude Folders from backups to preserve space.
Go into Time Machine preferences and Options - I can select + to Exclude Folders, and select a Folder, but on then selecting to Exclude nothing gets returned to the "Exclude these items from backups" form.
Help!

Welcome to the Apple Support Communities
Mails are stored on ~/Library/Mail, being ~ your user folder. As you are running Snow Leopard, it's easy to exclude your mails from your Time Machine backup.
Open System Preferences > Time Machine > Options, and add ~/Library/Mail to excluded items, so the next backup won't include mails. Note that you have to go to your user folder, in order to access to this directory

Is it Possible to Exclude Documents from Portal Export ?

In preparation for upgrading from Portal 9.0.4.3 (Release 1) to the latest portal version, we need to Export from a PROD Portal instance and import into a TEST portal instance. I plan to use separate transport sets for a Pagegroup and Providers. The Pagegroup has ~50 GB of documents in it.
The problem is that I don't have the Disk space on the PROD machine to export to the transport tables or on the TEST machine for the import or the merge. Is there some way to exclude the Documents (BLOBS in WWDOC_DOCUMENT$) from an export? I do want export/import all of the pages in the pagegroup.

If using 2 hard drives to for time machine backup is it possible to exclude files from one backup only??

At work we have a network system that allows backup of everyones mac via time machine is there a way I can exclude certain files and directories from this backup without removing them from the private time machine backup that I have?

Time Machine is one app on your Mac, thus it will exclude the files on all back-ups.

Is it possible to exclude videos from music library?

My sincere apologies if this question has been asked and answered before but searching returned nothing about it.
Is there perhaps a setting to tweak that would prevent iTunes from listing videos (like music videos some albums include) alongside the music library? I usually uncheck them so they don't play after an album runs through but my OCD would much prefer they not even be listed in the same list. I don't want to remove them from my entire iTunes library but would prefer them only being visible within the movies tab.

Media Kind = Movie or Media Kind = TV Show. Using the latter would let you group all music videos together into a TV Show called, for example, "Music Videos".

Excluding AudioBooks from Sync

I'm hoping this is going to be an easy question for someone since I am stumped. Just got my 32GB iTouch today after the death of my 80GB (RIP) Classic. Therefore, can no longer sync my complete iTune library to the new model. I am desperately trying to figure out how to leave various chapters and whole audiobooks in my library and not have them attempt to sync to the iTouch. How do I mark these items in my library so that they do not end up on my iTouch. Sorry for being long-winded. I'm down to 1GB of space left. Thanks for the help - and sorry if it is obvious to everyone but me.

Hey Dud - if I have to post another topic just tell me, but while you are out there ... I got a little too creative in the "Create a Bookmark" section and now have an usable bookmark appearing on the main iTouch Screen (same problem as another user on this site - won't hold the password information - so pretty useless to have). Do you have ANY idea how to delete a bookmark? I've gone through the 98 page tutorial and searched on this site. I must be missing something. Thanks.

Exclude column from interactive report when exporting data

Hello!
Is it possible to exclude column from exporting (using bi publisher) in interactive report, but having in report. So in report it is, but in export result it isnt :). I know, that I can just not to select this column in "Action" menu before exporting, but then to select it to view in report. But is it possible not to export this column, but having it in report result?
I Just have a checkbox in report, and I dont need to see it in export result.

Is it possible to exclude connections from certain IP addresses from
getting written into the log on a 5.0 server?
I have monitoring systems that do frequent health checks by binding to
the server and it adds lots of lines to my logs (about 14 MB per day)
that I don't need or care about. I'd like to exclude these connections
from showing up.

No, this is not possible
What you can potentially do is to use the log file rotation and do something like a grep -v to supress the lines that you don't want in the rotated file that won't be used anymore by the server.

You can uncheck songs in the Library and there is an option for your iPod to ignore them. Connect your iPod, go to Preferences>iPod>Music, tick the radio button "only update checked songs"

Hi, I want to know if it possible (maybe in DRS advances options) to exclude a Host from the DRS.
I got one cluster with 8 hosts. I want to let the DRS on the cluster for all the host except one.
I don't want to create a rule to exclude VMs from the host.
I want the DRS to continue to work on the cluster but I want it to not considered a specific host.

All our hosts in the cluster are the same except for one.
9 x HP Proliant DL580 G5 (16CPUs x 2.933GHz)
1 x HP Proliant DL580 G7 (24CPUs x 2.663 GHz)
The DRS seems to have difficulty to balance efficiently the charge on this one. For example, all other servers are at 30% CPU and Memory at 70%. At the same time, the G7 keeps having a charge at 50% CPU and 92% memory, no-mater which VM is on it.
So what I would have like to do was to exclude this specific host from the DRS and control his charge manually. At least to test it.
I know that the best practice recommend to have all the same hardware, but it's not always possible.

Sorry, it's very unclear what you want.
Whenever you have a question, please post a little sample data (CREATE TABLE and INSERT statements, relevant columns only) for all the tables involved, and the results you want from that data.
Explain, using specific examples, how you get those results from that data.
Always say what version of Oracle you're using (e.g. 11.2.0.2.0).

Have you tried the the UNPIVOT EXCLUDE NULLS option? See the SQL Language manual for details.
It that doesn't do what you want, then you may need to UNPIVOT in a sub-query, generating more rows than you want, and use a WHERE clause in the main query to remove the unwanted rows.
