Is it possible to export .jpg's by date

This should not be so hard, and I searched the forum, but couldn't find a solution.
When I export to "files on disk" / specific folder, usually the name of my "specific folder" is the year (i.e. "2009").
I then check the "Put in subfolder" box, and Lr creates a folder with a name of my choice, so far so good. I'd like to keep my files organized by date, but in order to do that, I have to type the date manually in the subfolder field.
Is there a way I can tell Lr to use the date variable as the folder name? For instance {Date (YYYYMMDD)»} is accepted for naming the files, it should not be rocket science. BTW I did try that syntax, but Lr simply creates a folder named "{Date (YYYYMMDD)»}", very amusing...

Thanks for replying John. Yes these are originally RAW files. I do back them up separately, but I would also like to export a copy as JPG to our media server, for family view. Our media player does not handle RAW files. I am reluctant to put all of one year pics into ONE folder, which seems to be the only automatic choice available.
I think by default Lr archives any existing pictures the same way I'd like to archive my new ones (it creates a folder structure based on the date). I find a bit strange that the same behaviour is not at least made available as an option for exporting locally. What am I missing?

  • Is it possible to export interactive textfields with data?

    Hey guys,
I have following problem. I´m creating our variable price list for our customers. "variable" means an interactive pdf for our customers where they can edit the prices, product discription etc.
I can paginate our catalogue with "Easy Catalogue" including all interactive textfields. It looks like this:
    https://www.dropbox.com/s/kn81v9db69dx0a7/screenshot_pagination_incl_interactive_textfield s.png?dl=0
The problem now is, when I export it as an interactive pdf, the data of the textfields will not be exported -> Dropbox - screenshot_exported_interactive_form.png
    it`s just blank
Does anybody have a solution for this problem. I need the fields to be preset with the data!
Is it generally possible to export interactive textfields with data?
    Any idea is appreciated!
    cheers from Austria,
    Chris

    I´m using Easy Catalog http://www.65bit.com/software/easycatalog/
But I think it has something to do with indesign interactive pdf export properties.
    What I also tried:
Converted an ordinary textfield with text into an interactive textfield -> then exported as an interactive pdf -> also blank editable field!

  • Export Parent Child Report data

    Hello,
Does anyone know if it is possible to export Child - parent report data in one file?
    Kind regards,
    Oli

Thanks for your suggestion. In looking at this some more I see now that the queries are finding my data, but the data is not printing. Simply put, my parent query has student name & number, my child query has attendance dates for that student. The parent portion is working fine with the student name & number appearing on the report, but my child attendance dates are not showing on the report. The repeating frame in which they reside is also not showing. I know the queries are pulling the right data though, because the number of pages I am getting for each student corresponds to that student's attendance data. But the entire frame and data within it are not showing on my report. I have checked to see that the Visible value is set to Yes. Does anyone know what I am overlooking?

  • Exporting USER along with data

    Hi there,
Is it possible to export User along with data. I have 5 tables which belong to user DEVELOPER. I want to EXP this user with 5 tables.
When I run the IMP, it errors out saying USER does not exist.
    I use like USERID=SYSTEM/MANAGER FULL=Y or I tried also with FROMUSER=DEVELOPER , TOUSER=DEVELOPER
I can get away from this error by pre-creating DEVELOPER user but what if I have 20 users with their data.
Is it possible that IMP will create user first and then import the data?
I am using Oracle 9i on Windows.
    Thanks,

  • Is it possible to export/save Muse pages as PDF files?

As a Web Design / New Media student, the curriculum at my school teaches a combination of Illustrator, Fireworks, and Acrobat Pro for design, wireframing, and prototyping new websites. Muse seems capable of streamlining the process, but is it possible to export the file in PDF format for sharing (assignment submission; offline viewing)? Maybe after publishing, one can convert the wepage to a PDF?
    Any suggestions are appreciated!

Not natively, but you can always screenshot your Design or Layout page and convert that JPG or TIFF to PDF, but Muse does not export pages in that way.

  • Exporting jpg no longer passes on rating

    Hi!
Previously, when I exported RAW photos to jpg via Bridge / Adobe Camera Raw, whatever star rating I had applied to the RAW file would automatically be passed on to the exported jpg file as well.
Now, with Bridge CC, the exported jpg gets no rating at all.
This really messes up my workflow (I need to identify the best pictures after exporting them too), so I am wondering if it's possible to make Bridge / Camera Raw give the exported jpg the same rating as the RAW file somehow, as before?
    Thanks for any help!

Of course the solution appeard in a "similar thread" once I posted:
In the Save options dialog, under Format --> Metadata, I am able to select "All" metadata to follow through to the jpg, and thus I also get the star rating.

  • Exporting JPGs with their Original Filename

So, I have these sets of cropping documents with images laid out in them taking up the entire frame, no text or anything else. At the end of the day, I need to export the crops with the original JPGs' naming convention. Right now, I am going through, exporting and then renaming. Sometimes I get sequential images with the same prefix in the same document which is super easy. However, other times there are images with different prefixes, a couple image numbers missing, or even the sequence being out of order. I was wondering if there was a way(maybe a script) out there that would allow me to export JPGs of each page while using the placed JPG's filename. So if page 1 had a JPG named image_1 and page 2 had a JPG named image_4, when I export them, I'd end up with two files, image_1 and image_4.
It might sound silly, but it would be super helpful when exporting documents with 30+ images, sometimes laid out in the incorrect order or with different prefixes. Any one have any ideas? Or even if it would be possible?

  • Diadem export jpg -excel

I am trying to convert a Diadem 3d characteristic graph into a JPG (or other type) graphics file. When I do the export, Diadem crashes and needs to be restarted. The only message is : Diadem 2012 has stopped working.
The graph has a lot of data. A typical graph is 65,000 X 200 points. I am using the ExportToImage method. If I limit the graph to 65000 X 20 the export works. Watching the memory with task manager, I notice that when memory use gets above about 1000 MB the Diadem crashes. I have tried several other formats and report settings with no luck.
The crash only happens when I do the export. It is possible to display 2 of the 65000 X 200 graphs in Diadem without problems.   Doing this without calling ExportToImage requires 194 MB for Diadem
How can I export an image of this graph using a diadem script?
Does Diadem have a memory limit of 1000 MB?
Is there a way to get is to break up the export task so that it converts a little at a time?
Are other graphics format conversions less memory intensive?
What does this line do?                                 Report.Settings.ImageExport.JPG.Progressive = 5
Is there another function that export this graph to a file for me?
    Here is the relevant code:
    Report.Sheets(Dir).Activate
Set oMyReportObj = Report.ActiveSheet.Objects.Item(1) 'select 3d Characteristic                      ‘graph. It is the only object on that tab
    Report.Settings.ImageExport.JPG.Quality = 50
    Report.Settings.ImageExport.JPG.Height = 800
    Report.Settings.ImageExport.JPG.Progressive = 5
    Report.Settings.ImageExport.JPG.UseRatio = True
Call oMyReportObj.ExportToImage(Filename, eImageExportTypeJPG) 'Export the file
I am attaching a JPG created by export to image where the original was 65000 X 20.
    Solved!

    Hello Frank,
I second Brad's comments about the size of the matrix, since typical monitors are around 1,920x1,080 - very high resolution screens are 3,840 × 2,160, nowhere close to your 65,000 lines you are tying to plot for your matrix.
If you don't want to change the size of your matrix, you can try exporting this image using the 64-bit BETA version of DIAdem 2014, which can be found here:
    http://ni.com/beta
You will have to sign up for the BETA program, but it's free and gives you access to the 64-bit version of DIAdem, which can access more ot your RAM, since it's not limited by the 32-bit addressable memory space. The 64-bit version will install in parallel to your current DIAdem 2012 version and should not affect the 32-bit version in a negative way.
Just out of curiosity, I wonder if the PDF export works for your data set. It uses vector graphics (vs. pixel based formats such as GIF or JPEG) and usually creates much smaller files. It also doesn't integrate with Excel as far as I know, so it's not really a solution to your current issue ...
Let us know how either reducing the matrix size or using the 64-bit version of DIAdem works out, and we can see if there are other/additional avenues we can explore.

  • Is it possible to export chapters into video files or final cut?

    Hello,
I was wondering if it is possibly to export chapters from DVDSP of I would have to rework the chapters again when I edit. Bascially I have chapters, but they all end with a cutoff transition, I've decided to re-edit the 4 hrs of footage on final cut, but was hoping there was an easier way to have the chapters already there. Hopefully this makes sense...
Can Final Cut edit .m2v files?

No, I don't think that you can carry chapters from DVDSP into FCP. I may be wrong. You can however, do the opposite, carry chapter markers from FCP into DVDSP.
    Yes, FCP can edit MPEG2.
    Good luck.

  • Is it possible to export, and include AE compositions used within a Premiere Pro project, via project manager?

I've several Premiere Pro CC 2014 projects I want to relocate via project manager (one at a time). They're excessive in size (many long and unused footage files), so "Create New Trimmed Project" is the setting-option, within project manager, most attractive. BTW I love how project manager does this... However, when I check on its new location, I don't see any linked AfterEffects files. Fine, I try the other setting "Collect Files and Copy to New Location". This option allows me to now copy everything including rendered scenes featuring my AE compositions (and a lot of excess, unused files)... but still no AE files!
Is it possible to export a Premiere Pro project, excluding unused files, yet include all used files... especially linked files such as AE compositions?

Though not exactly the solution I seek, I've tried an alternative approach... it works (if anyone's interested)... but my original question still stands.
Alternative approach (and probably the only option now):
When I copy & trim my Premiere Pro project via project manager to its new location, I can open the new file and see the track editor now includes broken links to AfterEffects compositions. Since I don't wish to relink these to the current .AEP file, I may package** the original AE project to a location near my newly-located Premiere Pro project folder. To do this, I open the original .AEP file containing any compositions linked to my original Premiere Pro project, and use File < Dependencies < Collect Files. This feature copies all files (and a new .AEP copy) from this AE project to my newly selected destination (as long as no files are missing).
So at this point, when I open my newly-located PP project, I can relink the broken AfterEffects composition links in PP to the new .AEP file. Yay!
**package (for those unaware) is the term used within Adobe InDesign. This feature gathers all linked files that makeup the overall design and layout, and copies into a new folder.

  • Is it possible to export a Muse project as HTML to use locally inside a browser?

I am trrying to see if it possible to export a Muse project in the same way, for example, it is possible with Fireworks to export a PNG file with hotspots as HTML and Images.
I want to be able to look at the project hosted locally and still click on sections of the site, click on links within the site making it appear like a live web site, but locally in my machine.
    Thank you!

    Hello,
You can use File>Export as HTML option and  it will export your website to a local folder.
Then you can open the index.html page in a web browser and it will give you experience of your site with all active links.
    Hope this helps.

  • Is it possible to export multiple sections of the art board as individual PNG's?

I have an art board full of GUI buttons and each button consists of an icon and a background sitting beneath it. the back ground is just a rectangle with some shading and made into a symbol repeated over and over again incase someone wants to change the color palette of the buttons in 1 go.
Is it possible to export every button (icon and background) as its own individual png? and have each png the size of the icon rather than the art board?
The equivalent of Photoshop's Generate>Image Asset.
***one key component i really need to know is if i can also have illustrator automatically create folders for these files to be exported or generated into***
in the same way that in Photoshop, if you name a layer "Folder1/Image1.png"  it will export that layer automatically as a png name Image1 inside a folder name Folder1.
    Thanks!

Try export to css. I believe that is the equivalent. It will create individual png files.

Is it possible to export of the stage of a Flex application in vector format?
Right now our only option is to render our graphs to a (large, off-screen) bitmap and export that bitmap, which is a real shame because every
component in Wondergraphs is 100% vector based.  Anyone at Adobe know more about this?

    Hi.
Try start->search for pen and touch--> then uncheck "Use your finger as an input device" in the Touch tab.
