Is it possible to generate multiple reports output in single click
Hi All,
I am using OBIP 10.1.3.4.1
I am having 5 reports in a folder. I want to generate all the 5 reports output in a single.
Is there any possibilities to do it.
Regards
Balaji
Hello Balaji,
You can schedule the reports at the same time and send the output on the e-mail.
You cannot use Interactive View for viewing 5 outputs on the same time.

CMS crash with core files and multiple report output generation
Happy new year to everyone,
Our BOXIR3.1SP6FP2 env has recently started behaving weirdly by triggering multiple output to users inbox and email notification out of scheduled reports. Also we have noticed the CMS crash with core file (almost 4GB) generation at the time of multiple report output.
Most of the times, CMC crashes and recycles itself. At few times, CMS services alone went shut down.
OS details: RHEL 5.5, 32 GB RAM, 8 core processor on each of the clustered node, Oracle 10GR2.4 CMS DB server, 11GR2.4 oracle reporting DB server and oracle 11.1.0.6 client.

Thank you,
KarthikHi Denis,
I'm trying my best for the last few weeks to understand the core issue along with SAP however it is still a mystery.

Below is the observation as part of troubleshooting:
1. CMS breaks at threshold of 3.9 G.
2. CMS DB sits in a different Linux server than BOE server.
3. All core files were generated by boe_cmsd process and are almost 4GB in size (same as max threshold which it breaks).
4. Shell script which I've added in the BOE servers shows that the CMS DB is available/connecting at the time of CMS crash.
5. SAP analysed the Core files and skeptical about the below lines.
#3 0x58687b80 in skgesigCrash ()
from /opt/oracle/product/11.1.0/client_1/lib32/libclntsh.so
#4 0x58687e0d in skgesig_sigactionHandler ()
I'll continue troubleshooting with a hope to fix it at the earliest.
Thanks,

How to generate multiple idoc's from single appl document
All,
Iam looking for a way to generate multiple idoc's from single appl document (sales order). Based on the plant details on line items in the sales order i have to generate multiple idocs, i.e., send one idoc to each plant entered in sales order line items. any help will be appreciated.
ThanksHi,
You can create a Z-program and call Function Module <b>MASTER_IDOC_DISTRIBUTE</b>.
You can make a call to this FM to send the Idoc as many times as u have plants in your Sales Order.
You can call FM <b>IDOC_OUTPUT_ORDRSP</b> to fill the IDoc structure.
Then u can keep the materials of only that plant for which u want to pass on the information.
Thanks,

Multiple Reports inside one Single Report
Post Author: maximus85
CA Forum: Crystal Reports
Hi....I'm having this problem of having multiple reports inside one single report. Basically what i wanted to built is a Dashboard that contains 4 main subjects:i)Sales - Contains graph that can be drill down for further detailsii)Internal Process - Contains tables that can be drill downiii)Profit/Lossiv)HRAs far as i know, since all four are of different fact table data, they cannot be all thrown inside one single report to be built on. So i came out with using subreports instead for each components and then finally putting them all together as subreport inside the main report(Dashboard).However, i just realized that by doing that, whenever i clicked on the reports that i wanted to drill down with, it will prompt that particular report that i clicked into a new page, and then from there only i can perform drill down.Is there anyway to enable me to straight away drill down the Sales and Internal Process reports from the main reports(Dashboard) instead of having to click twice as that will be unnecessary right?Or mayb if there's another better ways to do what I have to do? Please do advise and suggest......Thanks alot.......hi chack,
doesnt matter or preferrably both, as long as i can export all the reports in 1 page into 1 excel, or 1 pdf. -
Printing Multiple Reports in a Single Request Set to Different Printers
We are running on 11.5.10 and have three reports in a single request set.
Two of the reports are standard laserjet compatible reports and we would like these sent to whatever printer is specificed in the request set when it is executed. The third report is a shipping label report and we require that this report always print to a specific (tractor feed) printer while using a partiuclar style we have defined for this printer.
When we set the label report in its concurrent defininition screen to print only at the label printer and the request set to print to a nearby laserjet the request fails on the first job (one that should be sent to the laserjet) with an error indicating that the style defined for the label printer (ie. "RAW") does not exist on the laserjet printer (which it does not, but it does not need to be).
Is it even possible to have two reports in a single request set print to different printers?
Thanks,
ScottWe never bounce the concurrent manager process when we update the concurrent program define. There has never been a need to do so. But, regardless, it bounces twice a week anyway and it has had no effect.
I do not think this is possible without using a 3rd party/custom solution (ex. Optio).
The requirement is pretty simple really: We have a report that MUST ABSOLUTLEY ALWAYS_ print only to a single, particular printer. And, if it is in a request set that contains other reports and it is defined to print to a different printer they all should go to the "correct" printers.
If anyone has a method to do this please post!

[CRS2008] Scheduling a report to multiple file output in single schedule
Hi,
Is there any way in CRS2008 / Infoview to scheduling one report to multiple file output in one schedule?
i thought maybe it can, but still not found the way.
Says,
I have one report say "Report by Branch.rpt", the parameter prompt is BranchCode.
I want to generate the "Report by Branch.rpt" for every BranchCode in separate output generate file. Like, "Report by Branch.rpt" for BranchCode A, or "Report by Branch.rpt" for BranchCode B.
So, if i run the schedule, it will generate several report based on the report parameter given.
Hope, would find the way.
Thanks in advance.
Regards.
Edited by: fritzwijaya on Sep 20, 2010 3:47 AMFor anyone still looking, the job can be seen under the Job History option on the home screen, but not on the Job History option under the report in the catalog - i am assuming this is becasue somehow im not referencing the report correctly in the ScheduleReport request message.
Also, the jobId returned is a parent jobId, which when used to poll the job status, always returns a 'Scheduled' status. Im now adding 1 to this ID to get the status of my job - this returns the correct status of 'Success'.
Still hoping someone has an idea on the getDocumentData question...?
Thanks. -
Generating multiple reports in one rwrun60.exe
Hello,
i want to generate multiple documents in one rwrun60.exe
call (from java). This way i can avoid the time spending
for logging in to database for every singe report ...
Does anybody know if its possible ?
something like
execute (rdf1, params, rdf2, params) and so on ...
Greetings
Thorsten LorenzEvery rwrun60.exe call will reconnect to the database. This won't happen if you make the call through the reports server (which will maintain a pool of engines for you).
Note to the other filer on this thread - run_product() is a forms call, and is not available in as a Java call.

How to Generate HTML Report Output in Excel
Dear Experts,
How to convert HTML report output in Excel.
I have reports which output is coming in HTML format & the same I want to use in Excel.
So tell me how I can covert the same in Excel.
Thanks
Sudhirhello,
in your case, you might want to make the following :
a) use DESFORMAT=HTML
b) use MIMETYPE=application/vnd.msexcell (or whatever mimetype your excel application is bound to)
i am nor sure if excel will understeand our HTMLCSS (which is actually HTML4.0 using layers for best possible rendering of the paper page in the browser).

Is it possible to generate a report in CSV/text format ?
Hello , I received a request from a client to generate a report in CSV/text format ? Is it possible ?
How should I do it ? Thanks.Hi!
If i understood right, you want to generate a .csv-file from all item-values and records in your / customers form:
So try this procedure:
procedure write_csv_file( p_csv_file in varchar2,
p_block in varchar2 ) is
l_file client_text_io.file_type;
l_item varchar2(61) := p_block || '.' || get_block_property ( p_block, first_item );
l_tmp_str varchar2(32000);
l_delimeter varchar2(1) := ';'; --> change as you need (',' or char(9) for tab)
l_cnt pls_integer := 1;
l_too_big exception;
begin
l_file := client_text_io.fopen ( p_csv_file, 'W' ); --> existing file will be deleted!
if
NOT client_text_io.is_open ( l_file )
then
message ( 'File ' || p_csv_file || ' could not be opened for writing. Please check filename and path.' );
message ( ' ' );
return;
end if;
for l_rec in ( select :system.cursor_block cur_block from dual ) loop --> this one-count-loop is just for Steve C.
--> spare one variable and plenty of ram ;-)
if
:system.cursor_block != upper ( p_block )
then
go_block ( p_block );
end if;
first_record;
loop
loop
if
get_item_property ( l_item, item_type ) in ( 'TEXT ITEM', 'LIST', 'RADIO GROUP', 'CHECKBOX', 'DISPLAY ITEM' )
then
if
length ( l_tmp_str || name_in ( l_item ) || l_delimeter ) > 32000
then
raise l_too_big;
end if;
l_tmp_str := l_tmp_str || name_in ( l_item ) || l_delimeter;
end if;
exit when l_item = p_block || '.' || get_block_property ( p_block, last_item );
l_item := p_block || '.' || get_item_property ( l_item, nextitem );
end loop;
client_text_io.put_line ( l_file, l_tmp_str );
l_tmp_str := null;
exit when :system.last_record = 'TRUE';
next_record;
l_item := p_block || '.' || get_block_property ( p_block, first_item );
l_cnt := l_cnt + 1;
end loop;
go_block ( l_rec.cur_block );
end loop;
client_text_io.fclose ( l_file );
message ( l_cnt || ' record/s written to ' || p_csv_file );
message ( ' ' );
--> if you don't use webutil, comment out or delete the following line
--> in forms 6i use host instead of webutil_host.nonblocking.
--> it starts the csv_file-mimetype attached application
webutil_host.nonblocking ( 'cmd /c start ' || p_csv_file );
exception when
l_too_big
then
client_text_io.fclose ( l_file );
message ( 'Error: The amount of data in record ' || l_cnt || ' exceeds the max. length of 32000 characters. Your file is not complete.' );
message ( ' ' );
when
others
then
client_text_io.fclose ( l_file );
message ( 'Error ' || sqlerrm || ' in write_csv_file Procedure.' );
message ( ' ' );
end;You can call this procedure in your when-button-pressed-trigger like:
begin
write_csv_file( 'c:\temp\test.csv', :system.cursor_block );
end;Hope this is what you are looking for.

Using mathscript to generate multiple digital outputs for switch control
Hello
I am new to this NI LV and a have kind of a basic question. I would like to use Mathscript to generate an array of bolean numbers which will be used to control the Digital I/O lines. I am using NI 6251 USB device and the Mathscript code runs well. But I have a problem using this array to control the Digital output. So I created a simple test programme where I set the DAQ assitant to generate 4 digital outputs(P0.0 ~ P0.3) and it gives error that ".. number of channels in the data does not match the number of channels in the task..." (see attachment) . How can I solve this problem thank you.

How to generate multiple digital outputs (square waves delayed) at 50 kHz?
I would like to generate 3 digital outputs like the picture attached at 50 kHz. Using the "digital pattern generator (marching values).vi", I can generate 3 digital square wave but without the delay time. How can I do that?
I'm using the card PCI 6034E.
Thank you
Attachments:
digital outputs delayed.png 8 KBHi,
the digital pattern generator (marching values) only shifts the binary value of the first signal and sample to the next signal/sample.
Have you tried generating your waveforms via build waveform and use t0 terminal to change the lead delay?
In general, this DAQmx example could be helpful which you can modify to your needs.
