Is it possible to get Data Roaming in South Korea?

I have a Verizon Iphone 5. I travel to Asia quite frequently. My stops always include Japan and Korea. When I am in Japan, I am able to use my phone via 3G to surf the web, email, etc. It's not the fastest connection but sufficient. However, the moment I step foot in Korea, my data goes dead. I will be in the heart of Seoul, the largest city in Korea, and I will have no access to data outside of a wifi connection. When I use Korean smartphones, the network is extremely quick, faster than my phone on it's home 4g connection. According to Verizon coverage maps and Verizon tech support, my phone should work. However, I can't get any data, not even a slow one. I've tried messing with all the settings, power cycle, etc. still nothing. Is my phone even capable of data roaming in Korea? If so, how come my data works fine in Japan and then 2 hours later doesn't work at all in Korea?

In the past I've spoken with the Verizon global support and made all the necessary recommendations. However, as I said in my previous post, I am am to surf and access data in Japan with ease. It works fine in Kyoto and Tokyo, even in the subways and in certain spots along the Shinkansen. However, as soon as I touch down in Korea flying from Japan, my phone becomes a paper weight. Voice and text functions work, however due to the high toll rates, I avoid using them. You say I should have access to 1x and even 3g data, however, in downtown Seoul, which would probably be the Korean equivalent of downtown Manhattan, Needless to say every carrier has above average coverage in a major city like NY. I have no access to data at all. I would walk blocks thinking I'm not hitting the right tower or what not and nothing. No data whatsoever, not even 1x. From my own research, South Korea has one of the best cellular networks in the world. However, without access to emails and google functions like maps, it becomes increasingly difficult to travel with Verizon. I'm constantly looking for a Starbucks or some other venue offering wi-fi so I don't get lost while traveling the city. If Verizon is supposed to have roaming data in Korea or specifically Seoul, which carrier are they linked to?

I looks to me that 515 pixels represents 200 meters, so multiply the
x-values by 0.3885 meters/pixel to get the true x-values. I don't
have enough information to scale the y-axis.

Experia M dual c2005 unable to get data roaming since update to android 4.3

Hi,since the phone was updated (automatically) to android 4.3 i canty get any data roaming. any suggestion?

I have the same problem with my Xperia M Dual C2004. I cannot get data to work when I'm abroad. Data works fine when I'm on my national network but as soon as I cross a border and roam on a different network a warning triangle shows in the notification line on top of the phone: Data transmission is turned off - no connection! All the right boxes are ticked off and International Roaming has been chosen before I left my home network. Voice calls and SMS works fine while I'm abroad. It has not been a problem for me before as International Roaming from your home service provider has been prohibitively expensive. Part of my reason to buy a Dual SIM phone was the ability to use a local SIM for Data in slot one. But as International Roaming prices are comming down I would like to be able to use this option. I have used it with SIM cards from US T-mobile and German LIDL as well as a couple of Danish service providers. They alle work fine as long as no borders are crossed. Android version is 4.3 and Version Number is 15.5.A.1.5. The latest and final update. I'm looking into a possible downgrade to 15.2.A.2.5 as mentioned above. Can anyone point me to where I can find this for a C2004? I have been able to find it for a C2005. But for C2004 the best I can find is 15.2.A.1.12 something called Storefront.

Suspending service does not work and I keep getting an error message (South Korea)

Hi, I am currently back at home at South Korea during the summer and I cannot seem to suspend my service.
I continue to get this error message saying that suspending service is not available at the time and that I should try again later.
I got this message over the past 10 days and I cannot seem to suspend my service.
Since I am in South Korea, customer service live chat does not even work.
Is there anyway possible I could suspend my line before I get into a new billing cycle?

Possible to get data from a partly optimized/stripped core file?

This may not be possible, but I figured it was worth asking about.
I've got a C/C++ GUI application compiled with Solaris Studio 12.3 that is experiencing an infrequent crash when compiled for production and running on production boxes. This is on Solaris 10 for x86 running in 64-bit mode. Most of the app is in libraries which are statically linked.
I working on trying to replicate the issue in a development environment, but have not had luck yet. In any case, it would be interesting to know what kind of data can be gleaned postmortem from the core file I've got access to.
The application is actually a small "main.c" file which is complied and linked in debug mode with "-g" and no optimization, but this thin wrapper calls into the main logic in statically linked libraries which are optimized and not built in debug mode. (See the call stack below.)
From the core file :
1) For functions in the call stack that have names, can I get the value of one of the parameters? I ask because several such functions take pointers to structs with data that should be very useful.
2) For functions in the call stack that appear as ??????, is it possible to determine at least what .o or .a file they came from? This could help narrow things down.
Some basic Googling indicates that either of the above may not be trivial or even possible. But I'm wondering if the fact that we've got a "main.c" debuggable wrapper might somehow help.
As a related question, pstack produces sensible output, but dbx shows the error: "dbx: internal error: could not iterate over load objects -- link-maps are not initialized". Is there some flag I need to supply to dbx?

Background info:
I've been unable to replicate on non-production deployments, but the machines do differ a bit.   Eventually I will be able to borrow a production box to deploy an instrumented binary, but for now all I've got is a core file and access to source.
The core was generated with gcore while the app was displaying a popup from it's SIGABRT cleanup handler.   The production build scripts do some binary stripping, but I'm not yet sure where it is getting done.

Use compiler option -preserve_argvalues={none|simple|complete} to preserve incoming argument values. Note that this feature was introduced in Oracle Solaris Studio 12.4.
You may also be interested in a new option in Oracle Solaris Studio 12.4 which provides much finer-grained control over debug information, which allows you to choose how much information is provided and to reduce the amount of disk space needed for the executable. Dev Tip: How to Get Finer-Grained Control of Debugging Information.

The following 2 commands may help:
where -l

This may be caused by corefile mismatch. See dbx online help: "help core mismatch" for suggestions.

Hi guys I have pictures and data on my on my old Nokia N80 that i cant get to, there on the phone not the card
The big problem I have is the screen is broken and so are all the nav buttons on the front of the phone, so all I have is the keypad working
when I switch the phone on the keypad lights up and then I can put my passcode in by putting my code in and then holding the # key and I then hear the nokia start up tune
I then plug the phone in to the laptop and start the nokia pc software, the laptop seems to know that the phone is there but the nokia software will not connect to the phone
Is there anything I can do to get my data off this phone or have I lost it

the buttons part was in reply to fw1980.
as for you trav0209, it's going to be blind navigation till you get to connect in pc mode. and it depends on certain settings you had on your phone.
- first of all the "USB connection mode" was it set to pc mode and ask each time" or did you change that.
- the second thing, was your menu in default organization or did you move folders around.
you need to remember these in order to navigate the phone blindly " remember that nokia stopped using numerical shortcuts to menus" .
my advice if your phone was in default settings is that you use another 3rd edition symbian phone to simulate button presses on, and repeat the same sequence on your N80.
-try connecting the usb port and as soon as the pc recognizes it press the navigation button "the middle silver button on the fron panel" and see in which mode it's connected.

Would it be possible to get data back from an action (out of the question EO_MESSAGE & ET_FAILED_KEY )?
For example we got an order with order positions and we need a "function" to e.g. count all positions. Because of Performance the function should not be processed each time the order is changed, read or a position is added. Instead the function should be processed only if it was called explicitly.
Is it possible to create a kind of action which is actually counting all entries and export the number of them?
How to mark a parameter in is_parameters as exporting?
Is this just done by (naming-) convention?
What is the preferred way to have “methods” with returning/exporting values?

As you have already figured out , the Action API provides you with only the messages and failed keys if any.
Post action execution , you can always execute a retrieve or retrive by association , to get the latest buffer snapshot , which of course would include the changes that you have made in your action.
If you want to ensure that users have explict control on execution of your "fucntion", then of course , you should model it as an action on the BO.
The parameter is_parameters is an IMPORTING parameter. You CANNOT use it to export anything back from the action. For importing , you can of course have any structure to use as the is_paramaters , which you model as the action parameter structure which modelling your BO action.
From an external entity the only way to interact with a BO is by consuming the BO services and you are bound by the BOBF standard interfaces. Any and all data you require needs to be modelled as node attributes ( persistent or transient ) and fetched using the RETRIEVE, RETRIEVE_BY_ASSOCIATION or QUERY services.

EskThe reason the Set Variable piece disappears is because a presentation variable cannot contain multiple values. If you want to perform a calculation on a date to filter your report, do this:
1) Keep the Operator as "is equal to/is in."
2) Now set your PV to what you want.
3) In your report, build a CASE statement or use the TIMESTAMPADD function to make whatever calculation you want.
Example: Let's suppose you wanted to filter your report for all Sales Dates "greater than or equal to" the prompt selection. You would set the date prompt to "equal" a date a user selects and then save it to your Presentation Variable, say pv_SalesDate.
Now in your report on your Sales Date column, put a filter like this:
tablename."Sales Date" >= '@{pv_SalesDate}'
This will achieve what you are looking for.

How to get data from PDF form?

PDF forms can send data in url like GET or POST method. Is it possible to get data from url, like in PHP http://sever/file.php?item1=value1&item2=value2&item3=value3
In APEX url have specific construction and I don't know how to get value of items (1...3)
Please let me help to find simple method of geting data from URL.

How to get it from PDF is another matter...
I'm working on an app that downloads PDFs with a Large amount of data as a blob, takes that blob and changes it to XML, then goes through the xml to validate each section of data and then add it into the schema that my apex app is referencing....
I didn't write the original code but I do know that it isn't a quick thing to implement and includes using some uploading some java jar files to your schema and writing some custom java code.
Someone else may be able to help with grabbing PDF data into the URL for the amounts of data you want to pass to apex.

Getting data from MySQL

I'm a web developer that is familiar with PHP and MySQL. I
just started working with a guy who has created a site in Flash for
a client, and I've created the backend in PHP. It was understood
that all I'd have to do would be to PUT information into the
database and he'd pull it out on the site. Things have changed and
I've been asked to pull the data down for him.
I've Googled to find out that it's possible to get data from
MySQL into Flash via a textfile formated as such: 'myVar=[data]'. I
don't know the specifics, but I can figure that all out. However, I
have two particular questions regarding the data:
1.) How does Flash handle HTML formatting? The CMS I've
written allows an administrator to input plain HTML and I store
that in the database; how will that translate into Flash? Does
Flash have an HTML parser? I've been having trouble filtering
through searches on Google about using HTML to put Flash on a page
instead of Flash parsing HTML. I read on another forum that Flash
has an HTML 1.0 parser, but the post was dated August 2003.
2.) I've also been storing images as BLOBs in MySQL. How do
I go about pulling these images out? Of the tutorials I've found on
Google, all I can hit with my searches are scenarios in which
people store image
paths in the database, and output them in the same textfile,
'myImage=/images/image.jpg' etc.

How to disable data roaming with Nokia 97mini

Hello one and all,
Is it possible to disable data roaming on Nokia 97mini? I would like to be able to go abroad and have it automatically stop syncing my email etc... but still be able to use it for SMS and voice calls. I know that the iPhone has the ability to turn off data transfers when roaming on another network.
Can other so called 'smart' phones such as the Nokia 97 mini also do this?
I have searched in vain in the supplied user manual.

I don't believe there's such an option, sorry. S60's got plenty of options for managing call roaming but as far as I know data roaming hasn't come up.

I closed my laptop lid on my external LaCie drive without ejecting the drive first (smart one!). After that the external drive wouldn't mount. I've used Data Rescue 3 to recover all the files from the drive... however it's just lumping all the files into one big batch :-( ...anybody know if it's possible to get the files into the correct files structure they were at before the drive got corrupted?
Assistance would be HUGELY appreciated.

Thank you Barry. Yes, Comcast is my mail provider. It is a POP account.
Now, if you could point me in the right direction to do that re-build, I would be ever so grateful. I did use the "rebuild" button on the Mail tool bar for that box and it did not help. Perhaps there is something else I could do?
As I mentioned, I am very new to the Mac world, and I get a little lost. Well, at age 73, I guess that's not hard to do! Been on Windows forever so lots of the terminology in Apple is quite different for me.
