Is it possible to have a cover image without Title & Author?

I'm creating some iBooks of my grandfather's hardcopy books published in the 1930's & 40's & want to create a period embossed leather style cover, with the title & author name in gold - I've created an image in Photoshop for this.
Is it possible to simply have a cover image without adding a Title & Author in iBooks Author & if so, where do I create the Title & Author info so that it displays correctly in iBooks?

Here is a new book cover I created from the Elementary Algebra / Modern template. After selecting the font, size, style, and color for the title, apply those settings to Title 1's paragraph style in the Style Drawer. Do the same for Author. Lastly, go to Inspector / Document/ Document and add the Title and Author's name here. Now you are all set. Have fun. - Fabe

Is it possible to have transition occur automatically without user interaction?

Hi guys,
I'm a bit stumped with a problem to do with flash catalyst and whether its possible to have things occur without the viewer doing anything.
For example would it be possible for a webpage to open and have images load from an XML file, then every few seconds automatically fade from one to the other in a loop (without the webpage viewer doing anything)?
If so, would someone be kind enough to point me in the right direction on how I would do it?

However, you also mention that you wish to load the images via XML. Flash Catalyst does not directly support this. You will need to take your Flash Catalyst project into Flash Builder to add the Actionscript to load the XML. Since you have to do this, I would not recommend the suggestion of using a flv as a timer, but control the timing via code.

Is it possible to have an ssd installed by an authorized technician in Turkey?

I have an imac 2011 27 that i want a ssd to be installed.
while i can do it my self , i would prefer that is to be installed by an authorized technitian.
I've talked to them and the response i got was it is not possible to add an ssd to imac as a second drive.
He is not aware of that it is possible, so it is normal for him to think that i can't be done.
He also told me that only apple ssd can be installed which is not true either.
I've read in several places where people took their imacs to certified technitians and have their ssd's installed by them for an installation price.
I need some kind of approval from apple that it can be done, but don't know how can i acquire it.
Since i don't have apple care yet, and i don't want pay 50 dollars just to ask a question, i would really appreciate if someone can show me a way.

It is possible to add an extra hard drive. I don't know if they can do it for somewhere in Turkey however.

How-To update Newsstand Default Cover Image

We would like to update the app cover art image that appears in the iTunes App Store to match the current issue of our publication.
In the past I have been able to do this in ITC without uploading a new app binary or creating a new app version, just by editing the Newsstand default cover image in the app's version information screen on ITC.
This functionality is also mentioned in the Adobe DPS documentation:
"The image you specify in the Newsstand section appears in the Apple App Store and the iTunes Store. Whenever you publish a new folio, you can upload a new image in the Newsstand section of iTunes Connect to update your app’s appearance in the App Store and in iTunes." - Adobe iOS Publishing Companion Guide (Professional Edition)
ITC was recently updated with a new UI, and now it does not seem to be possible to update our cover image. I am not able to remove the current cover art or upload new cover art.
Is anyone else having trouble with this? Is it now necessary to upload a new app binary in order to change the cover art image in the App Store?

No, I don't think so. for that, you'd probably have to import your animation using the Video to Layers option, resize, then rebuild the animation and export it.

Is it possible to submit and bypass validation without Immediate = true?

I am using JDeveloper 11.1.1.6.0.
On our form, we have a "Save" button that properly persists the binding data so that the user can come back and finish filling out the task that they are on later. For this to function properly, the save button needs to have the information on the form to be submitted. If we have no validation, and we have no required fields set, this function works properly. However, if we have any required fields that have not been filled out, the save action is not able to occur until the valiation errors have been corrected.
We have tried changing it so that the save button has "immediate=true" set, however that causes the form data not to be submitted and thus, not persisted.
We have also tried "immediate=true" and setting the form fields to "autoSubmitt=true", but this causes issues when we later have to clear out the data in an inputDate field. In this instance, we receive an illegal argument exception stating that the timestamp must be in format yyyy-mm-dd hh:mm:ss[.ffffffff]. We only see this error when "autoSubmit" is set to true on the field however, as we then need to also ensure that the back end data is cleraed in addition to the field's value as otherwise the field's value never is cleared.
Is it possible to have a component submit without validation, and without being immediate? Or is this not possible?
(On a side note, we've also noticed that if there are components that are set to "immediate", they can throw validation errors when a our save button is pressed and set to immedate, though none of the other fields throw errors)

I understand you have a save as draft functionality. There is no way other than to use immediate=true (which doesn't work for you) or not using field validation at all to get this use case working. Also note that right now you deal with client side validation errors; when you submit the form, bypassing client side validation you will hit binding level validation, for which you need to set skip validation to true

There are some (non-Adobe) apps which will do lossless cropping of JPEGs, such as GraphicConverter and JPEGCrops.

If you can I found a easy solution. set up the account and put in a credit card. after your account is set up go in to your accout info and change your billing info. there should be an option "none" now avaible to click so that there is not a credit card attached to the account.

Im trying to use four small images to create a large image by using a hover effect. However when i hover over an image for instance 3 of 4, after hovering over 1 and 2, number 1's ease-out effects snaps back to the background image, rather than continuing to ease-out. Which i do not want. Is it possible to have numerous ease-out effects working at the same time? Using CSS.

It can be done with Show/Hide buttons:
Here's a button created from a small version of the image (notice that it's selected in the image below):
The small button has a Show/Hide Buttons and Forms action. It's action is to make the Larger Image visible (eyeball turned on) with the small image hidden (eyeball turned off).
The large image is also turned into a button (shown below):
Notice the checkbox "Hidden Until Triggered". The large button is hidden until it's triggered by the small button. Clicking on the large image also causes a Show/Hide action which shows the Small button and hides the large button.

If I was having the problem, I'd remove the email account completely off my iPod then re-add it. If that doesn't work, I'd reset my password and try again. These are all just ideas and not real concrete solutions. Hope something works for you.
