Is it possible to have a group of email contacts under one name eg mums in year 4?

I would like to be able to send a group of people regular emails without having to add their address to the 'to' box. Is it possible to have a number of email addresses under one name?

from the panel on the left hand side (where you see all the slides vertically), you can select one with your mouse and slightly drag it to the right, so as to create a sort of indentation.
would that work?

You didn't specify whether you are using the "official" Yahoo mail app, or some other email application like K-9. But either of those allow for the specification of multiple email accounts, and you don't even really need to sign in/out. Once you set up the accounts within the app, just select the email account that you want to view. It might be a little more problematic if you want to prevent each other from being able to see the other's email, however.

The sync is one way - computer to ipod.

Apps are tied to the Apple Id they were purchased with. So any updates for the Apps will ask for that apple ID to update.
The only way to prevent this is if you remove all the Apps that were purchased with your ID from the iPad.

You can only have one credit card and billing address on your account at any one time.

Tell your wife to get her own Apple ID. If you do not want continuity/handoff to work with calls, on both devicesgo to Settings==>>FaceTime==>> Turn OFF iPhone cellular calls.

Possible to have individual iCloud act's but share one for Find My iPhone?

I have yet to take the plunge (rocket) to iCloud -- too many questions and I haven't figured out all the logistics yet. But here's a big question I have.
I've seen a lot of threads with recommendations on how to set a family up - most of them involve each iPhone having their own iCloud ID and then sharing one iTunes account for shared music.
My question. Is it possible to have individual iCloud accounts set up on the individual phones BUT ALSO share an iCloud account for the purposes of Find My iPhone, so we can easily see our phones on one screen?
If so, how is that done?

I don't know the answer to this 100%, but I would recommend downloading Apple's "Find My Friends" App because that will enable you to see all phones on one screen.

How do I set up a group in my contacts for a large group that I use often, and then how to I use it. I tried setting up a group with everyone in the group, but then I tried typing in the name of the group but it will not work. I want to click on the group and have all the group email people drop into the message, and avoid clicking on each group member. Help. Thanks.

Is it possible to create new GROUPS in the Contacts of I phone?

Does anyone know if one can create a group other than <all contacts>? It would be nice to be able to send out multiple text messages to several people by selecting one group for example. I used to do this on my blackberry and miss being able to do so on my i phone. Please let me know if I've just overlooked this ability. Thanks!

You can create groups on your computer and they will sync to the iPhone when you sync. However, you will still have to manually add each person to the text message or email. At this time, there is no ability to add an entire group to a message.

Is it possible to have track and region parameters boxes under the inspector hidden by default when creating a new track?

I often need to access the effects section and/or select a different midi instrument and have to manual minimize these boxes. It would be nice if I could have these hidden by default as I'm accessing the portions covered by the track and region parameter boxes more frequently than I'm accessing the boxes themselves.

Before answering your question, you have to make sure you understand the difference between the different track types in GarageBand.
Tracks, you record your music on
There are three types of those Tracks.
MIDI Tracks (aka Software Instrument Tracks)
Audio Tracks (aka Real Instrument Tracks)
Drummer Track (only one per Project)
Global Tracks
These are the Tracks that can be shown/hidden at the top of the Tracks Area for specific purposes.
Arrangement Track
Movie Track
Transposition Track
Tempo Track
Master Track
This Track can also be shown/hidden in the Tracks Area. Please note, you cannot delete that Track, only hide it, similar to the Global Tracks
Regarding the Tracks you record your music on, you can delete any of those. It doesn't matter if you created them or there are part of a Template (maybe that is what you refer to as the default track). Once you delete the last Track, the "New Track Window" will pop up to add a new track.
I will explain all that in much more detail in my manual "GarageBand X - How it Works".

I am sending emails to a Smart Group created in my address book. The contact in my address book has multiple email addresses. Is there a way for the email to go to both addresses? (ex: work and home email address under one contact)

When I send emails, I want it to go to both email address listed in the contact. Is there a way to make this happen? Or do I have to have a separate contact for each email address?

I will agree with you on this one. Version 31 and all the fixes so far are a mess. Since I have been here answering questions for a little more than a year now I have learned to wait to upgrade until all the dust settles. I see no end to the dust storm version 31 has caused. I am still on version 24.6 and plan on staying there for the duration. At least until the developers comes to their senses and put out a working product.

I need to have company control over the accounts. The Team subscriptions are not cost effective for 3-4 users. We do not plan to use cloud storage - all file storage will be local (behind our firewall.)
