Is it possible to have listener for orcale shut won event ?

Hi,
We know that during normal shut down of the oracle database, message is sent to the clients. Is it possible to have listener for that event using JDC ?
Any suggestion is welcome.

This is not something that Verizon would handle or be able to change. It would be something that Google would have to change in the Android source code, or the OEMs in their device specific versions. Or you could just look for another app.

You can not have two the same named business systems as "receivers" in receiver determination.
But you can define two business services/systems (different names) and they can point to one physical system by different adapters.

Possible to have ITunes for updating IPod only - with r/o access to media?

I have this music collection (FLAC) on a Windows server. I want to have that music on my IPod also. Is it somehow possible to have ITunes have read-only access to this collection - perhaps using Firefly media server - and just import them into a client PC and have it update an IPod?

Firefly will give ITunes oppertunity to update tags, create album photos etc. And this is something I do not want. I want ITunes only to read (read-only access) and just transfer the music to an IPod.
Okay.
Go to iTunes prefs -> Advanced.
Uncheck Copy files to iTunes music folder when adding to library.
Just make sure the *iTunes music folder location* is set to some place other than the media server. The default location (for Vista) is \Music\iTunes\.
Note: If you RIP a CD using iTunes, it will go into the iTunes music folder in Artist/Album folder.
Now you can File -> Add folder to library and select the top level music folder on the server.
iTunes will add to the library what it can in that folder and subfolders but it will not copy them to the iTunes music folder. It will not do anything to any of the tags or filenames.
As noted, not iPod will not play FLAC files.
Supposedly, iTunes for WIndows will play Ogg FLAC, using -> Xiph QuickTime Components

Is it possible to have filters for one account on 3 devices ? And have the same results/folders.

I have one email account on 3 devices and I need to filter all received emails, on all 3 devices. Same folders and same filters.
If I create a filter rule on one PC then I can't find the filtered emails ( that are in the new created folder on PC no.1 ) on the other devices. What can I do?

To answer the question as stated in your topic, it's possible but not easy.
Obviously you can enter the same filters by hand on each installation of Thunderbird, but it's tedious and error-prone. You can set them up on one machine and copy the filter files over to the other machines. Also tedious and error-prone.
The way you describe the messages vanishing from sight suggests strongly that you're currently using POP, and this has no way of making use of shared folders. To continue working in this way, all you could do is set each client to leave a copy on the server for the others and painstakingly manage a set of filters on each and every machine, keeping them in synch by hand and careful management. (And ditto for your folders.) You'd also have to attend to the POP server from time to time to remove accumulated messages left there by your clients.
The real answer to this and your later question is to use an IMAP-connected account, where all your data lives in one place, on the email provider's server, and all your devices simply look at and work with one common set of data. Any filtering, editing, moving, etc you did on one machine would very quickly become visible on the other machines. In fact. the ability for more than one machine to be simultaneously be working on the same message becomes a somewhat worrying possibility. It's not clear if this is a likely event in your scenario.
Even using IMAP, if you filter at the client then you'd still have the issue of managing multiple instances of your filters, and the final part of this is to make use of filtering offered by the server; then the filtering takes place "at source" and you have just one filter set to maintain.
If your current email provider doesn't provide IMAP, and cannot offer it, then there are many alternatives who will. If it's for business then I think you should look for a paid-for service that includes guarantees, backups and an SLA. Your domain provider should be able to offer this.
For personal use, many of the free suppliers are worth considering. Googlemail works well, but if you're uneasy about their pervasiveness, have a look at gmx/1&1. Microsoft's hotmail/live mail/outlook.com offers IMAP. Yahoo! probably does (please check in your locality) but they have a bad track record and a lamentable reputation and I wouldn't want to entrust them with any precious material.

Is it possible to have pagination for page comments?

I am currently using the comments module for a testimonials page on a website however the amount of testimonials is quite extensive. Is it possible to limit the number of comments and use pagination? I did find the following tag {tag_commentspaged} on http://helpx.adobe.com/business-catalyst/kb/tags---quick-reference.html#id_49150 however It seems that it is only for comments on blogs.

How do I add an iTunes account? Is it possible to have multiple for one computer?

So I just got an iPad 2 and I want to set it up, but the computer I'm going to be setting it up on isn't with my iTunes account. Is there a way to add my account to this computer/iTunes in order for my iPad to sync with MY library? Any suggestions will help Thank you!!!!

How are you going to sync it with YOUR library if you are not going to connect to the computer with YOUR library?

JSF-RI. Is it possible to have ID for for elements?

It is more convenient to address to the form element with 'id' attribute rather than 'name' attribute (just because jsf-ri use very unexpected naming convention). However, jsf-ri renderer removes 'id' from the final code (just uses it to contruct 'name' attribute).
Probably, it it will be not a critical solution for final release of jsf-ri to leave 'id' as is along with 'name'.

JSF should definitely not prohibit the setting of
"id"-attribute for the generated HTML table.
I strongly hope that such a severe constraint is
removed in the FCS.
Can somebody comment on the issue?

erikAny code that assumes the "id" property of a UIComponent will be the generated "id" in the markup created by a renderer is pretty much guaranteed to fail -- renderers are explicitly not required to use such identifies in the markup they create. Instead, if you need to know what identifier the renderer is giong to create, call getClientId() on the component instead. This is the value you should use, for example, in JavaScript created by your renderer that refers to the component in question.

Is it possible to have icons for the main forward/back toolbar line and text only for the bookmark line in the toolbars?

In the customizing toolbars section it looks like you can either have icons and text, icons only or text only.
I'd like to have the toolbar with the back/forward buttons, home button, etc. be icon only and the toolbar below, which is the bookmark bar to be text only. I don't see how to do this.

Is it possible to have the calendar "read back" the event created?

You can add an event to your calendar by recording or type in. I want the event to "speak back"
"read back" to me what it is at the time chosen on calendar.
This would be great for the blind also.

The non-email address apple Id I have had for years, now won't work.

I have had an Apple ID for a long time and it has always worked on every Apple device I have until recently. This Apple ID was noot my email address just a random nickname. I just recently downloaded the latest software update and about the same time my password for my old Apple ID stopped working at once for all of my gadgets as if it never existed. When I tried to update my apps a box appears that says "You can't update this software since you have not owned the major version of this software" I tried to use the feature "Forgot my password" to which I was redirected by ITunes but it asked for my date of birth for the purpose of verification and even though I answered it correclty 2-3 times, it told me that it was not the correct one.
Then I tried to log in using my account primary email, restoring the pasword for that email and then it worked fine. Now I can log in using that email address as my Apple ID but it seems like my old Apple ID, that I have purchased everything, is lost in limbo. The old password and new password for my non-email address Apple ID doesnt work, and when I request for an Email Authentication to be sent to my email for the old Apple ID, no email arrives.
Since I have all of my information attached to my old Apple ID, and I cant log in, I can't update anything and its telling me I have to re-buy everyting.
Any ideas why this is happening and how I can get my old apple ID to work again?

Did you previously use MobileMe with that ID? If so, did you correctly migrate from MM to iCloud at mobileme.com?

Listening for more than one event

I've been following some online tutorials and am now doing my own program. I have a simple gui that uses radio buttons and a standard JButton, I am trying to write an if statement that does something if one of the Radiobuttons is selected and the JButton is pressed, here is the code I have tried:
          if(e.getSource() == makeTest && e.getSource() == wTest)
               buttonPanel2.setBackground(Color.green);
          }e is my ActionEvent, makeTest is the JButton and wTest is the radiobutton. This if statement worked fine if it was just testing to see whether makeTest was pressed, so I'm guessing I might have to use another Actionevent to compare a second button? If someone could give me some pointers on this I would much appreciate it.

You should check only if the source is the JButton and then check if the radio button is selected using radioButton.isSelected()

Is it possible to have pictures not attached to an event?

So... I'm trying to organize the miriad of photos I have and have come to realize that I have several pictures that really aren't a part of any "event." For example, old school photos or baby pictures. So far I've just created a "event" by the person's name and put his or her old baby and school pictures in there. Is there a way that I can simply organize these photos using faces and have them completely left out of the 'events' organization scheme?

How to listen for actionContent button click event in View

Hello,
Doing this:
FlexGlobals.topLevelApplication.addEventListener('actionContentClick',showOptions);
Results in calling showOptions() as many times as the view was showed. The handler sticks and each time I enter a view in the creationComplete hander for it I add the same listener over and over again.
How should this be done?
1. FlexGlobals.topLevelApplication is the right object to listen to?
2. I can remove the listener on view deactivate, but I am not sure if that will be called each time the view goes away.
3. Can I check if an object already has a listener and which is it?

I was complicating things for myself by exposing methods in the main MXML file to add and remove and listen to click events on a button placed in the actionContent, instead of declaring it in MXML for each and adding a listener to it. Views had different actionContent buttons or rather icons for them.
In regards to hasEvenListener, can I also get the method(s) attached to that? Probably not though.
