Is it possible to have time stamps on SMS.

My Treo use to add timne stamps everytime you text a message, as all phones do so you know when exactly you recieved or sent a message. Is it possible to have this setting on the IPHONE as well?

The SMS time and date stamps on the iPhone are automatic.
It doesn't stamp every msg sent or rec'vd, but it does Stamp at the very beginning of the Txt session.
I cannot remember if it's 5 minutes or 10 minute intervals where the time and date stamp appear in between the msgs. But it does have that features

    Sorry, but no.
Time Machine will backup your Mac, but not the hard drive attached to the AirPort Extreme.
Time Machine will back up a hard drive only if it is attached directly to your Mac via USB or FireWire.

    Hi Sree,
try the following comands you can use for the convertion of dates to timestamps and viceversa:
CONVERT DATE dat [TIME tim [DAYLIGHT SAVING TIME dst]]
INTO TIME STAMP time_stamp TIME ZONE tz.
CONVERT TIME STAMP time_stamp TIME ZONE tz
            INTO [DATE dat] [TIME tim]

  • 5800 does not retain date&time stamp for SMS trans...

I just got a new 5800XM a week ago.  I upgraded from a Samsung SGH-C260.  When I tried to copy the SMS messages off my SIM and on to the Nokia, all the date and time information of the original messages was lost.  I tried the SIM in a new Samsung Star and it was able to read the date and time information without trouble, so obviously the information is there and readable.
Does anyone know of a way to successfully transfer these SMS messages without losing the date and time information?
    Thanks!

Paresh - my understanding of the original post is that when she does show startup-config that no date is there. There is an explanation for this.
Narayan - the service timestamps is a good command and I agree that specifying datetime is better than the default of displaying uptime. But this command does not have anything to do with the date in the config file.
What does control the presence (or absence in this case) is whether the router has authoritative time at the time the config was changed or saved. The router can have authoritative time by use of the clock set command or by use of NTP. I believe that NTP is a much better solution.
So if the router really knows correct time it will put the time stamp into the config. And if the router does not know correct time it will supress the time stamp. From the fact that the startup config does not have a time stamp we can believe that the router did not know authoritative time when the config was saved. And I do not know any good way to go back and discover it.

  • Is it possible to have the time code follow the footage on playback?

    Hey everybody.
I searched the forums, but I didn't find anything relevant to my question.
My question is, is it possible to have time code follow your footage on playback?
For example, when I scrub along the clip, the clip will tell me the entire length at the first thumbnail, but then as I scrub along, there is no time code, so I am unable to know how far along the sequence I am.
I was talking to a faculty member, and he was told to grab certain portions of the footage, and he is wondering if this is possible within iMovie '09. I know that this feature is available in iMovie '06 and Final Cut Pro (of course), but I just started working with iMovie '09 last week, and wanted to know if this is possible.
Any help is appreciated, and please let me know if I need to further clarify my question.
    John

If you click VIEW/SHOW PLAYHEAD INFO, you will see the timecodes as you scrub. (Consumer timecodes, not pro timecodes).
This works if you imported your footage from a camcorder, either miniDV or AVCHD.
However, if you have imported an analog file, or saved a DV file to a QuickTime File, you may just see the file creation date in VIEW PLAYHEAD.
However, there is a trick to getting even these clips to display timecodes if you know the start time.
First pick a clip. Make a copy and drag it to your desktop, just so you don't lose anything.
Rename this copy in the following format clip-yyyy-mm-dd hh;mm;ss.current file extension.
For example, clip-2001-07-14 09;30;45.mov (note the space between the day and the hour)
This would be a .mov clip that starts with the first frame at July 14, 2001 at 9:30:45 AM
Then import the clip into iMovie. You now have timecodes at the playhead.

  • How do I see the time stamp from footage

I was wondering if it is possible to see time stamps from footage taken by GoPro camera in FCPX. I can see the duration of the clips and the DATE it was created. I would like to see the actual time it was created. I have 2 cameras that were shooting at the same time and I would like an easier way of sifting through all of the clips to mary them up.
Is there a way to see the time stamp of when the video was taken?
    Thanks

Got ya. I will suggest one more thing: You can add "markers" at points where you can visually (or aurally) see (or hear) a synch point. Once you add these markers, "synchronize clip" will begin to grind out the rest.
Again, if you look at the above tutorial, I think it explains this under "manual" synch.
I don't mean to push this upon you, but... FCPX is GREAT for multi-cam synch. It is the best--I think--in the industry.
Good luck. Sorry if I'm of little help beyond this.

  • Odd, Partial Time Stamp Corruption

This seems to be affecting only one project, which is the most recent one I created and the one where I have been recently working in Aperture, organizing, rating, adjustments, etc.  56 out of 327 images now have a date/time stamp of about 32 or so hours after they were actually taken. They were all taken Saturday morning but now read as if they were taken Sunday evening.
    Here are the details:
All of the affected images are rated 5 stars, but not all 5-star photos were affected (there were 97 5-star images in total). Of the 56 that were affected,  54 had their time stamps moved, as I said to a point roughly 32 hours after they were taken, and those images now have time stamps all within a 2 minute period, spaced 2-3 seconds apart. In fact, they were taken over a 2-hour time frame, so they did not all just get corrupted/adjusted in an orderly similar fashion.
This means I cannot just figure out a single time adjustment and move them all back to the correct point.
The other 2 images were corrupted/adjusted to a time about 1 hour and 20 minutes later than the other 54. As it happens, I used 2 cameras for the project, and the 54 images were taken with camera 1, and the other 2 images were taken with camera 2.
I was having computer trouble Sunday evening, and it is possible that Aperture and/or my computer crashed at around the time the images were moved to. I also probably had Aperture set to display only 5-star images when it crashed. But, as I've noted the images were not all moved to a single time, so a theory that they were all moved to the time of the crash seems less likely.
Earlier I did intentionally adjust the time stamp on images from both cameras. This was done because one camera was set to the wrong time zone from a recent trip, and then I wanted to sync the time stamps more exactly since I integrated images from 2 cameras into one project. I did this on Saturday and things seemed to be fine until now.
I do not know when the corruption hapened. I just noticed it this morning (Tuesday). Things definitely seemd fine on Sunday. Yesterday I briefly worked with a few of the images and didn't notice anything amiss but I might have just not noticed.
No metadata or EXIF data, or adjustments seem to be similarly corrupted. Only the time was affected.
Here's the thing: I can live with this in this project. I'd rather things be in order but it is not critical. But I'd love to figure out why it happened and how, if possible to fix it in case it might affect a different project where actual and relative time stamps are more critical. Thanks.

Thank you for your response, Jeremy. The reason I asked about Real-Time, and if you were using variables is that there are some options to enable timestamps inherent to both that OS and those communication methods. However, if you are simply writing to the onboard flash, that eliminates both of those alternatives.
As far as I can tell, there seems to be nothing wrong with the code you are using for generating the timestamp. That being said, the behavior you are seeing could be due to the VI not being successfully run with each iteration of data acquisition, or the VI losing its connection to the NIST server (and therefore maintaining the last known value, and therefore the same timestamp as the previous iteration).
You said that up to this point, the time has been spot on with the UTC. Has anything changed since then that might result in either of these two scenarios? Thanks!

  • Can I enter a different time stamp in Citadel?

While logging data in a citadel database is it possible to log time stamp other than the system time ?

    - Memory Tags will get the timestamp from the local acting DSC Engine's computer.
    - I/O Tags get the timestamp from the I/O server when the timestamp is provided. This could be for example a VI-based Server that provides special timestamp for certain items.
    - OPC server: Normally the OPC server provides the timestamp and LabVIEW DSC's OPC client just passes through the timestamp to be logged into Citadel.
Conclusion: If you just use regular tags, you cannot provide a timestamp with the value to be logged. You have to write your own (VI-based) server with its timestamps.
LabVIEW DSC comes with some VI-based server examples and a .pdf manual for VI-based Server development. That's maybe a good starting point.
    Hope this helps

  • No update time stamp in the saved data file

In NI Example Finder, there is a file called "Fieldpoint Datalogger.vi". I flip the "Time Format" switch to "HH:MMS" and the "File Type" switch to "Spreadsheet". The data saved into a file have time stamp at each line. However, the time stamp in each line of the data file saved as the same time without any update to the most current time. I put sampling frequency for 100 ms and saved as 50K bytes file size, but all the time stamps in the file show one same time (I believe it is the time to start to save into file and keep repeat it). How can I get the update time stamp for every 100ms or 500ms and save that time stamp into the data file from this "Fieldpoint Datalogger.vi"? Should I change anything on the subVI called
    "embedded FPLog.vi"?

    Hello,
Fieldpoint systems usually base the timestamp on the National Instruments Time Server, which is installed on any computer using the Fieldpoint driver. This means that you can configure the Time Server on a Fieldpoint system to continuously check the system time of any computer on the network that has the Fieldpoint Driver installed by referencing its IP address.
If the timestamp is not updating, then we should first verify that it has been configured properly.
Take a look at the following Knowledge Base and let us know if using the listed steps takes care of this issue.

  • FINDING, TIME STAMPING, AND SAVING SELECTED PORTIONS OF WAV FILE

    Hello Everyone,
    LV 6.1
What I'm trying to do is build an app that
captures, timestamps and saves peaks only in a *.wav file from the sound card.
Specifically, dog barking.  My dream would be that I have a constant input
from a mike into the sound card which LV will real time analyze. When a threshold is triggered
(a dog bark) the app will save the bark only with a time stamp.  My case against
my neighbors would be better exemplified is I were able to present them with a
time-of-day graph with tic marks at each bark and a cd they could listen to of
    the barks only.
    Explorations so far:
The sound VI's don't have time stamp outputs
I have searched the knowledge base and found a few apps but came to a dead end with my knowledge
I have experimented with various waveform analysis vi's but can't find the combo that gives me what I'm looking for
I can handle the post processing of graphs / spreadsheets but the waveform analysis for capturing the bark is eluding me. If someone could just get me started I could run with it but so far I ain't smart enough.
    Thank You...........

    Hi rscully,
I think a great starting place is the "Sound Input to File.vi" example found in the Example Finder. Since the output is waveform data, you should be able to extract the timing information from the waveform data. Try using the "Get Waveform Components" function. If that doesn't work for you, you may also want to just grab the time stamp from the system clock with the "Get Date/Time String" function.
To record the bark, you can perform signal processing to match the bark frequency. The first thing that comes to mind, is to record a bark, analyze the power spectrum to find the peak power at a specific frequency range. Then in your program, you can find the power spectrum for that specific frequency range, and if the peak within that range exceeds a threshold, record the bark and time-stamp. This method should be simple if you have the NI Spectral Measurements Toolkit. See this tutorial.
Once you have verified that a bark has occurred, you may want to record the previous bark sound data and the post bark sound data. This will ensure that the entire bark is captured in a sound file. I have edited the "Sound Input to File.vi" example to demonstrate this. Please see the attached picture. I hope this helps!

  • Delta upload from Oracle to BI, without time stamp

    Hi all,
I want to upload delta data from oracle to SAP BI 7.0 but i do not have time stamp in oracle. Can i use DB connector to extract the delta ?
        Any information is welcomed. Thanks.
    BR.

    Hi,
Currently theres no standard way of doing it thats why BW can only offer DELTA updates from R/3 systems only since a BW Plugin can be installed in it.
But in the future, we do not know. There could be a plugin for various source systems.
So with this, you have to device your own way to handle DELTA Updates. Try to use VIEWS, STORED PROCEDURES, LOG TABLES for your benefit to design your own DELTA Mechanism.
    https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/2f0fea94-0501-0010-829c-d6b5c2ae5e40
Try updating the data to the ODS in which all the objects are with the Overwrite mode and then from ODS to Cube u can very well  maintain the Delta.
When u update the data to the ODS try to restrict the data at the inpackage level as mentioned earlier..
As this is the easy process to restrict when u work with the Oracle to BW.....
    thanks
    Hope this helps..

  • File Receiver Adapter - time stamp in front possible ?

    Hi all together,
is it possible with the file receiver adapter to add a time stamp in front of the filename?
    f.ex. <timestamp>_SUFFIX.dat
With file creation mode "use timestamp" and file name scheme
    SUFFIX_.dat it will create
    SUFFIX_<timestamp>.dat     .
Thanx a lot for your help
    regards
    Hans

    Hi,
This is not possible in the communication channel, but if you want to add date time stamp on the filename, you can use dynamic configuration. For that you have to write an UDF in the message mapping concatenate the date tme stamp with the filename and extension.
In the communication channel you need to check on the message attributes so that when the adapter framework is called the filename generated in the message mapping would be used by the adapter. In the communication channel remove the filename and put * in the filename, as filename is one of the mandatory parameters in the comm channel.

  • Is it possible to have an attachment within a pdf doc print at the same time the main doc prints?

Okay, so this may be kind of a weird question.  We have some users who are wanting to add a page to an already existing xml document and correct me if I'm wrong, but I've read that it's not possible to add/delete pages from a pdf that's in xml format.  Since that is not possible, I have added the page to the xml document as an attachment.  Now what I am wanting to know is if it is possible to have the attachment print out at the same time as the main document.  We are using the latest version of Adobe Reader and I have access to Adobe Acrobat Standard 9 & 10 and then I have access to Adobe Acrobat Pro 7.  I've been unable to find anyting via google or by searching this forum so hopefully I'll draw out some kind of smart cookies and we'll get this figured out.  I appreciate any and all input!
    Thanks,

I know of no way to do this with Reader or XML.
