Is it possible to hide a page in a Numbers spreadsheet so that other users cannot see it?
I have a five page spreadsheet in Numbers that I share with key employees so that they can enter daily data; I would like to hide Sheet 3 of the spreadsheet as it has payroll information that ties in with the other sheets but that I do not want anyone to see or alter but me. Is there any way to do this?

You can make it difficult to snoop. Nothing will prevent a Numbers-savvy user from undoing these tricks.. However:
Adding to SG's reply, create some dummy sheets (tabs) and drag the payroll info sheet tab to the right.
Drag the payroll table a fair way down that sheet.
Set the text colour to match the cell fill colour. The cells will appear to be blank.
Set the Column width to a very small value.
After you lock the table, cover it with a Rectangle Shape with a white fill and lock that. It will be invisible until someone clicks on it.
Scroll up to the top of the sheet and insert a 'dummy' table.
Go to the input sheet and save.
Copy this reply and save it in your 'panic' drawer for when you forget what you did .

Can I link a pages table to numbers spreadsheet ?
I would like a table in Pages to display current data from a numbers spreadsheet.
Is this possible in Pages and Numbers ?
I do NOT mean copy and paste etc. which does not accomplish what I need.

This has been possible in several applications for a looooong looooong time.
If I remember rightly Wingz could do this sort of linking 20 years ago. i.e link data in one document to data in another.

A transition I am not altogether happy with . Not at all impressed by Mavericks so far.
Apple Help promised me a lot would be fixed or restored in Yosemite..... not holding breath.
I am thinking Mavericks is a code for back to the days of the old west since so much seems to have been abandoned... -

Using Sharepoint 2010 Server and the UI, building an intranet
starting with a Blank Site and then adding subsites can be accomplished.
However, in this case the current Blank Site page that was created only shows
when logged in using the account that the application was created under.
Any other account used to login with when the url is typed into the
address bar does not show the current Blank Site page.
Instead when using any other account the page that is returned is
some page that was created early in in the creation of the site.
A Blank site is said to be:
"A blank site for you to customize based on your requirements."
I checked-in the v4.master and approved it but the problem still exists.
Then I checked the Site Collection features under Site Collection
Administration "Active" contains:
Sharepoint Server Publishing Infrastucture
Sharepoint Server Standard Site Collection features
Then I checked under Site Actions has Manage Site features "Active"
contains:
Sharepoint Server Publishing
Sharepoint server Standard Site features
It is said that maybe the page needs to be "Published". Basically
this is a Blank Site page so when the instructions says:
"To publish a page, on the page that you are editing, on the
Page Editing toolbar, click Publish."
I am unable to do it because when I:
"Edit Page"
There is not no option on the ribbon to choose "Publish".
Neither did I see the "Publish"option when editing the v4.master in SPD.
In summary, when logged in with the account that everything was created
under I can see the current Blank Site with the Lists and everthing else
on the page but how come when I login with any other user account
I don't see the current Blank Site page but instead see some old page that
I may have created earlier when creating the application?

I think it is worth mentioning that the Top Link Bar shows what appears
on the current Blank Site page but it is the OOTB NoteBoard and Discussion Board
List which both reside in Left web part on the Blank Site page that has been replaced
on the page by what had been in an old Content Editor web part during early creation.
How can I grant permissions to the OOTB NoteBoard and the Discussion Board List
that would allow other user accounts to see them, thus making the entire current Blank Site page
visible other user accounts?

My requirement is that.
1) For a group of users in IT0002 screen the content of SSN field would be shown as XXXXX where for some users it will show the actual value in PA20,PA30. This is not MOLGA specific, this would be user specific.
Is it possible to do that. I was trying with the exit ZXPADU01 but not working. I believe T588M will also not work in that case.
Please suggest on that.

Instead of presenting the SSN as XXXX, you can simply hide the field using screen modifications and feature P0002. The key here is using field group USERG (user group) in the decision tree. The prerequisite is assigning the set of users to a user group (UGR parameter) through SU3. That value will be the return value under USERG in the feature.

I have the requirement of using the standard JDBC Lookup in PI 7.1. The user setup in the receiver JDBC adapter is only a service user that has a read access on some tables that are owned by another user or schema. When I am trying to do the import of Table's metadata, I can only see tables that are owned by the user setup in the receiver JDBC adapter.
Is there any any ways on how the user used in the receiver JDBC adapter can read another user's table (given that it has read access) during the import of Table's metadata?

I have to do lookup from a view(not a table) available in a particular schema.
When i am using the external definition --> category dbtab
I am able to see all the tables available in the schema.Whereas i not able to see any views.
Please let me know how to proceed in such scenario?

I don't see a setting for page size. Everything else related to that (sans setting the page size) appears to be found here:

I wonder if you set the page size when you actually go to print it. I don't have a printer to try it on. Otherwise it looks like 8.5x11 is all you get. -

Is it possible to hide a forms user parameter in the wrapper HTML page? I.E I want to start my form with MODULE=myForm userid=scott/tiger@db myParameter=SECRET.
The http://myserver/servlet/f60servlet?config=myconfig successfully starts the application (after update of the basejini.htm and adding this section to the formsweb.cfg
[myconfig]
userid=scot/tiger@db
myParameter=SECRET)
However, when looking at the source of the wrapper html page one can see MODULE=myForm userid= myParameter=SECRET.
As you can see the userid is nicely hidden by my secret parameter is not.

View source is the functionality for browser . So that can't be done.
You have two possible workaround for your problem.
1.
Invoke Registry & move to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINES >> SOFTWARE >> ORACLE. Here create a new string value with the name LOCAL & value as the connect string you want. Now when you run the form on web, just give user name & password, the form picks the connect string from Registry.
Note : You need to make registry entry in a machine where Forms Server is running.
2.
You can hardcode the username, password & connect string in the form's ON-LOGON trigger. To do this use LOGON built-in.

Hello, I have a 4 page form that I have pages 2-4 hidden until a selection is made from page 1.
My question is, is there a way to hide the 1st page after the selection is made which shows other pages in the form?
When I try to hide the 1st page, it shows as a blank page using: MainPage.presence = "invisible";
Is there any code that will completely remove the 1st page and not just blank it out?

You still have not answered the question why you are trying to do this in the first place. If you are trying to make it so someone cannot guess the link that will change someone elses password, there are ways to do that, but the method you are trying won't work.
Only for cosmetics. In my opinion a URL of www.mysite.ca looks better than www.mysite.ca/index.php or www.mysite.ca/index1.php There is nothing to "guess" at, if someone goes directly to www.mysite.ca/index1.php they will be rejected if there is not an appropriate cookie on the users machine. Once a user is "inside" I have no problem displaying the actual page name.
Hiding the trailing part of the URL is just something I have noticed is possible from some sites and wanted to see if I could incorporate it in mine -

Go to Solution.You have a couple of possiblities:
Keep the tab value in a shift register and use a value changed on the boolean to increment or decrement the tab. Write to a local variable of the tab as needed (I would recommend against value property nodes as in the above examples by others).
You could also hide the tabs and make the tab control an indicator. Now you can write directly to the terminal if the boolean changes and you don't even need a local variable.
Here is an example showing both (LabVIEW 8.2).

Situation: I've built a PDF that contains two master pages. First page contains common master data. The second page contains confidential information which must only be visible for special users.
Is it possible to hide the second master page if a certain interface field is set to a certain value?

I didn't build the confidential second master page. It came from the customer and I just used the template. The request to hide the second master page depending on the user was not foreseeable for me.
Additionally: the second master page has a completely different layout than the first one. So until today's morning it was reasonable to use two different master pages.
In fact I have already been thinking about change the layout to one master page + several subforms. But I don't have a good mind to change the whole layout, think about how to set different headers and footers on the not-first pages and so on.
So my question is still: Is there a way to hide master pages programmatically?
