Different from the Mail app on a Mac, there is no access to the list of previous recipients with iOS on an iPhone, iPod Touch, or iPad to remove a previous recipient from the list, or to add a previous recipient to the address book or contacts that is not already entered - not at the present time anyway.
The only way to purge the list of previous recipients at the present time is by restoring your iPhone with iTunes as a new iPhone or not from your iPhone's backup, which will start being re-populated again with every sent message.

When you go to Starbucks, you'll need to first go to Settings on your iPad and choose Network. You'll see ATTWIFI as one of the available networks. When you click on that to select it, you should be immediately sent to AT&T's sign in page. You just need to check the box that says you agree to their terms and conditions and then hit the Connect button and you'll be online. One warning, however. I got part one downloaded. Then I tried to download part two. The download no longer did anything. I noticed on the bottom of the screen where the part one progress bar had been, there was now a note that said there were local updates to be done. I said OK and the updates ran as four parts. When they were done, I again tried to download part two. Nothing. I then decided to try the Akamai (sp?) Download manager program. It would not download either. Should I wipe out part one and start over? Or, is there another solution? I am using Windows 7. Thank you.

I took this sound card (Audigy 2 ZS SB0350) yesterday from a friend, just to test whether it can do what I intend to use it for. It is only the card itself without the front panel (the I/O Dri've Bay) and I want to connect a satellite receiver's S/PDIF output to the sound card input in order to experience a 5. sound, which my satellite receiver supports. Since it turned out that this sound card has no digital inputs but on the front panel (the I/O Dri've Bay), I started wondering whether I can connect the coaxial digital out of the satellite receiver directly to some of the pins of the Audigy 2 ZS, and in case I can do that, will I have the desired 5. sound on the analogue outputs of the sound card or just stereo?
If this is impossible, can you confirm that if I buy Audigy 2 Platinum (with I/O Dri've front panel) I can have the desired effect (no matter if the output of the satellite receiver is coaxial or optical)?

Install disks for specific systems do not boot a different system. Sometimes if the two computers are from the same year and are the same type and the same build number, maybe.

Hi,
The simplest way would be to use the API TS method PropertyObject.SetValBoolean, PropertyObject.SetValNumber or PropertyObject.Set ValString. With the SequenceContext you create a PropertyObject using the method SequenceContext.AsPropertyObject, which you use as the reference for the the SetVal method.
For the SetVal method, pass the full lookup string of your variable eg "Locals.MyString" and set the option parameter to 0x01 (insert if missing).
If you are calling this from LabVIEW, then use the SetVal property VI.
This will insert a varable into the Locals that is "in scope" of the step that is performing the task.
In the TestStand Help - "Using the API in Different Programming Languages" and in the TestStand User manuals there is more information to help you.
This will only make a runtime version of your Local. ie when your sequencefile stop executing your Local will not exist in the Static version of the Sequence File.

Feature Request: Export and Import all or part of vCenter configuration from the GUI

One of the challenges we face is how to recover a large vCenter to a different VM, without having to restore any databases or use vCenter VMs and databases on replicated storage. We currently have a PowerCLI based process for exporting vCenter configurations - vCenter settings, roles/privs, alarm definitions, datacenters/clusters/hosts - to an XML file, which can then be used to import that vCenter configuration into a recovery vCenter. Three part process - export the vCenter configuration, import the settings and structure (datacenters, clusters, alarms), then import the hosts. This last step pulls in the hosts once by one from the original vCenter, complete with their running VMs and once all hosts in a cluster are imported creates the required Resource Pools and moves the VMs in to them. A subsequent script moves all the VMs into appropriate blue folders based on their CMDB classification/OS.
The above process is OK, but has a number of faults:
It's all or nothing for a migration, unless there is some serious editing of the XML dump to extract, for example, a specific datacenter or cluster, which could if incorrectly done result in configuration issues, hosts not being imported, etc.
It can't (at least not in vc4.x) migrate dvSwitches. If we have those in a datacenter, we're going to have to reconfigure the hosts and VMs back onto conventional vSwitches
We'd really like to see a native tool built in to vSphere Client or the Web Client that will allow all or part of a vCenter configuration to be exported to an XML or other flat file and then imported into another vCenter in one easy step, taking running VMs, dvSwitches - the lot. In the same way you can export host and vCenter logs with a few clicks, it should be possible to do something similar for vCenter configurations. This would be useful for a number of things - vCenter recovery, vCenter upgrade, individual datacenter or cluster migration.

Hi Poornima,
you should follow Uwe's suggestion. The only alternative I can imagine is dynamic document in a dialog container. But I don't know any standardized classes to make use with minimum effort. Have a look at report DD_ADD_FORM_INPUT. Here they put the input field in a container control in a screen; you can put the container control on a dialog container (CL_GUI_DIALOGBOX_CONTAINER).
We will not get rid of any screen for the time being, but if your application is started from any screen, the DIALOGBOX_CONTAINER can start from there.

Is it possible to restore backup that has been deleted from the repository?

with Rman 9i I do a full database backup including the current controlfile each night (with the catalog option). If the backup has been successful all backups older than 3 days are deleted (because of a lack of disk space).
Now I have to restore a backup older than 3 days which can be written back to disk from tape.
On disk there is a backup still available which is 2 days younger than the one I have to restore. That means in its controlfile the backup to be restored doesn't have the status DELETED yet.
Can I restore this controlfile first, then resync my catalog and restore the old backup after the entry is back to the catalog ?
How do I specify which controlfile and which backupset should be restored ?

Just to be sure that I understand you right:
I startup the database in nomount mode.
Then I restore the controlfile from the backup which is 2 days younger than the one I have to restore because this controlfile contains the desired backup record with status "not deleted". Is that right ?
Each of my backup consists of 3 backup pieces. How can I find out which of the pieces contains the controlfile ? Or can I try one after the other until it works ?
After the controlfile is restored successfully I use the following commands to restore and recover the database:
rman target=sys/<syspw>@target_db
run {
alter database mount;
allocate channel c1 type disk;
set until time '<point of time a little bit prior to the point of time of the backup to be restored>';
restore database;
recover database;
release channel c1;
open database resetlogs;
exit;
Because of the "resetlogs" I take a full backup of the database afterwards.
For the future I intend to change the process of deleting backups as described below:
* delete them from disk with operating system command not with the rman delete command
* configure retention policy to recovery window of n days (n = number of days backups are preserved on tape)
* start rman script each night: \\ allocate channel for maintenance device type disk; \\ delete obsolete; \\ release channel;
Is it possible to restore each backup from tape if required with the procedure described ?
One last question concerning the recovery:
instead of the "set until time " before using the "restore database" command is it possible to specify a concrete backup to be restored (e.g. specifying the exact time it is taken or the backup piece numbers) ?

You will get a lot of no answers to this.
With that said, I will say no too, but that doesn't mean it isn't possible. As time has taught everyone, no device (computer, phone, etc) is safe. Currently as designed there isn't any way for one to infect the phone from just plugging in the phone by the nature of how it all works, however, that doesn't mean one day somebody can find some flaw and release one. Just currently there is nothing. You are more likely to get something from just browsing the web on the phone or being on somebody's wifi network and them exploiting some other security flaw.
While all known flaws are patched (if you are up to date) that doesn't mean another one won't be found.

I have rtf tempalte with a table. I want part of the rows/ columns to invisible in the output. I tried using "No Border" option, but the lines still show up in PDF output. also, I found many threads with rtf vs pdf output but none of them ends with an answer. Why is there a difference. Any help or pointing any documentation would be appreciated.
