Is it possible to hide my cc email from app menus? (to make video tutorials privately)

Hi, I just wanted to know if it's possible to hide the CC email address, such as the one in the Edit menu in Photoshop CC. In many video tutorials I've seen, people seem to manually blur it out every time, which seems very silly. If it's not possible, I'll just make a new junk mail address and go with that.

Its not possible that I'm aware of, maybe sign out of the app temporarily? or do what you suggested.

Possible to hide an external HDD from iMovie?

I have two external drives, call them DRIVE_A and DRIVE_B, which I use exclusively for iMovie Projects and Events. I am using Carbon Copy Cloner to do a daily backup from DRIVE_A to DRIVE_B. The idea is to import content to DRIVE_A and have it backed up to DRIVE_B. I would like to hide DRIVE_B from iMovie, so that I avoid inadvertently importing content directly to DRIVE_B, rather than to DRIVE_A. Does anyone know of a way to hide an external drive from iMovie (or just keep it out of the list of drives)?

Hi,
Try this one out
1) Create a new dashboard based on some other presentation catalog lets say p1.
2) Drag drop reports from required presentation catalog lets say p2 onto this dashboard.
3) Go to settings>Administration>manage presentation catalog and remove access from p2.
4) Give read only permission on dashboard created. It will make sure that you don't get edit dashboard option for that page.
In this way he won't be able to see p2 catalog in answers and still be able to access some reports on dashboard.

Is it Possible to Send a Test Email from Localhost to my yahoo email?

I'm trying to set up a Flex e-mail form, but I'm not having a lot of luck. I followed the tutorial in RIA Codes, www.riacodes.com/flex/create-an-email-form-in-flex-with-php/ , but I couldn't get it to work.
I saw another tutorial, which suggested first testing whether your server will allow you to send e-mail. So, I put this php file in my webroot

and then opened it in my browser. Unfortunately, no e-mail was sent to my yahoo account.
([email protected] isn't my actual e-mail address).
Should the above file run okay on my localhost? Is there some kind of setting that I need to change?
Any suggestions as to what I'm doing wrong?
I'm on a Mac running MAMP and Flex Builder 3.

I did some more reading on the web. I've got MAMP Pro and it has a panel for configuring Postfix. I think that that will enable email for php. Is that correct?
MAMP Pro's Postfix panel is asking for:
1) domain of outgoing mail:
2) there's a check box next to Smart Host
3) host
4) user name
5) password
6) authentication
Verizon provides my internet service.
Any advice on how to complete the above? Has anyone used MAMP Pro to configure Postfix?

Possible to downsize pics and email from bridge?

i would like to compress images to 72 dpi and let's say a size of 400 pixels width and email these selected images via mail (not doing the workaround with photoshop but instantly have the compressed images in my email) - is there any plugin or script that can do this? and since i'm not a coder but a designer - how would i have to install this if it exists? thanks in advance, chris

Does that work any better? Another option is to get the CD that came with your phone and install the original version (assuming you still have it).

Is it possible to hide work phone numbers from Lync client?

Out customer has following infrastructure:
One Standard edition FE Lync Server 2010. IP PBX not yet integrated with Lync.
They want to hide work phone numbers in Lync Address book. I played a lot with ABSConfig, deleted all entries with phone, etc. Update-CsUserdatabase, Update-csaddressbook. Forced clients 2010, 2013 to update their address book, but numbers appear again.

You can try to change privacy relationship of your contacts to the "External contacts" or "Blocked contacts", by default your colleagues will be set to "Colleagues" group and the federated partner contacts will be set to "External contacts".

Is it possible to hide success/failure captions in the test, but make them available in the review?

I've got a 50 question, timed quiz and we want to disable the success and failure captions because they slow the students down, frankly, are kind of annoying. However, we want to allow the users to review the quiz after taking it. The problem is that the review feed back seems to use the success/failure object, so, when you review the quiz, you just see the questions with no feedback. Kind of pointless. Does anyone know of a way to disable (or remove) the success/failure captions in the quiz, while providing feedback in the quiz review?

For the moment a lot of people are still working with CP4, others have adopted CP5 already, so it helps if you mention the version you're using.
The feedback showed during review is in the Review area (you can see it in the slide on the stage). The message in this Review Area is not linked to the Correct/Incorrect/Incomplete messages you can show during answering the Questions. If you are using CP5 you can deactivate the Correct and Incomplete messages in the Quiz Properties panel, region Options. You cannot deactivate the Incorrect message. If the user answers correctly and the Correct caption is not there, the project will continue after clicking on the Submit button. However when the user answers incorrectly, the Incorrect message will appear however, instructing them to use 'Y' or click on the slide to continue.
During Review the user will see the Review Message, if you allowed Review (Quiz Preferences, Settings). The message showed is configured in the "Quiz Review Message' that you'll see in the Properties panel when the Review area is selected (or using the button 'Quiz Review Messages...' in the Quiz Preferences, Settings). If the user answered correctly, the message 'You answered this question correctly" (is indeed similar to the Correct caption). If the user answered incorrectly, his answer will be displayed and the correct answer (which is different from the Incorrect caption).
Hope this explains the difference. If you are using CP4, let me know and I'll try to explain the workflow in that UI.

does the iphone support sending sms or email messages from the SDK? I can't find it in the docs. I need to also pre-populate the message but let the user pick the contact.
From what I gather by googling, the email piece might be possible, but the SMS doesn't let you pre-populate. But I'm not sure...

Not sure if you can do it directly from the iPhone or the iPad.
From any computer, access iTunes Store, select PURCHASED and place the mouse over the purchase you want to hide. A cross button should appear at the far right. Check it and it will ask you if you want to hide the purchase.

I have just recd an Email, purporting to come from the App store asking me to supply my personal and credit card details, how can I be sure its from Apple?

I would recommend to access the App Store/iTunes account directly through the app to have a look, if you have to add anything.

Emailing from Apps

Since upgrading to iOS4 I have been unable to email directly from inside apps such as Twitter and TUAW. Instead the email is placed in my outbox which I then have to manually resend. I use gmail through the native iPhone email client. Any suggestions?

I have this issue too but just solved it by deleting the accounts that I'm not using on my phone - they can't just be inactive, you have to delete them

Sending Report via Email from app Serv 10g

The issue is that the email is blank... I've tried using &body=" " or &message=" " to no affect.
This is going to be user defined text, so I need to be variable. Anyone have any suggestions on how to achieve this?

I believe with destype=mail, the whole report is going to be attached as a file, so there is no body message.
Are you getting the report attached as a .pdf file ?
If you want to customize the body with a message and send the report as a .pdf attachment then look at chapter 15 - Creating Advanced Distributions, basically, you would be doing XML distribution.

When I am in an application, such as my Photo Library or Twitter and wish to send an item to an email address (my own), the recipient name field has been replaced by what looks to be a spam subject "Holidays in Mexico," instead of my own name. I can find no way to correct this, and it appears to be unique to my iPhone (running most current IOs version), not appearing on my iPads.
Has anyone else run across this, and more importantly, how can I fix this?
