1) Is it possible to hv a smart form with out having the Print/driver prog.?
coz, I checked in TNAPR tbl, I did not find any entry!
I guess, NACE wuld do give some info?
2) How Can I know that my_z_form_1 created in Which SAP version?
3) How it wuld appear the icon of TABLE node in 4.6? Is it "Lines with in Square box"?

Answer : No,there should be print program for each smart form.
NACE Will give only SD,MM module form name and print progrms.
2) How Can I know that my_z_form_1 created in Which SAP version?
Answer : Currently SAP Does not support version management for SAP Script.
and Smartforms.You just compare with Production system
3) How it wuld appear the icon of TABLE node in 4.6? Is it "Lines with in Square box"?
Use Main window -> Create - > Table
and proceed further...

Is it possible to create a form with multiple form fields on a single line? I can't find anything in the documentation or a template that does this.
I am trying to create a "documents received" checklist with a check box on the left margin, a date-received field to the right of the check box and and a description of the document (Formatted Text) on the far right.
In the past I have entered the Fixed Text with a word processor, published it to a PDF file, then added the check box and date fields with the Acrobat Forms editor. I would prefer to use FormsCentral if it is possible.

We now support multiple fields on one line. This post provides a brief overview.

PDF form with line printer

Hi,
Is there a way to use PDF form with line printer? how, and the pros & cons. Currently we are using SPF to develop pdf form in sap, however it has limitation to print on line printer that we need to print on 3 ply form. The only option is to convert all PDF form to sap script.

I would recommend you to Save the pdf with reader rights enabled [ File -> 'Save as other' -> 'Reader extender PDF' -> 'Enable More tools ( includes form fill-in and save)' ].

How to print multiple pages of same form with one print command

Hi,
I have created a cheque print form in smartform. There is provision to print multiple cheques. I give multiple cheque numbers from my selection screen and for each cheque the smart form is called in loop. Currently I get preview of 1st cheque then I print 1st cheque then click on back, cancel or exit button and then I get preview of second cheque ans so on...
Now I want to print all the cheques with one print command.
Please advice.

Instead of looping at the smartform multiple times, pass an internal table with the data content to the smartform and use loop/ Table youroption in ur smartform in the main window.in this way u can achieve printing multiple cheques at once and avoid previewing the document several times.

I need to put a PayPal button on my site. The shopping cart I
was using up until now used only a link so I simply used hotspots
on button images. This new PayPal button sends information from my
site to PayPal with a <form>. The problem I am having is with
the elements in the red dotted form box ( yellow tags and broken
image icon). I have made the yellow tags invisible but the grey
broken image icon won't fit into the small cell( 86x22 ) of my
sites menu bar with out misaligning the table of cells. I spent
considerable time building my menu bar from layers so I would like
to keep intact.
The gray broken image icon shows because PayPal requires
that you copy the button image location directly from the browser

Is it possible to build and use application and DB adapters with out having ESB, BPEL in the project. We need to have Oracle E-business suite adapters in our application but we don't want to purchase ESB and BPEL.
Is there any workaround possible or i need to go for ESB and BPEL.

Hi,
Application adapters and technology adapters are delivered with Oracle's SOA Suite. It can be used with BPEL, ESB, BAM or other products with SOA Suite.
In theory, the JCA adapters can be accessed through JAVA CCI calls. Hence, any J2EE application can invoke the adapter. But, you will have to find from Oracle whether they provide support for such a access. Application adapters such as MySAP, Siebel, PeopleSoft and JDEdwards supports invocations only through BPEL and ESB. They do not support any other invocations such as JAVA CCI calls.

I'm trying to build a dynamic table that functions as a calendar...(see http://www.oreilly.com/catalog/javacook/chapter/ch18.html for the basic idea and code structure).
Here's the problem...I want to make each date inside of the table a hyperlink to a new page. I figured out how to create the hyperlinks, but I CAN'T figure out how to create hyperlinks that pass variables to a new page.
Here's the code that works:

So, if everything works like I want, the table will get created, and if yy=2002 and mm=January, then the hyperlinks will look like:

for day 2:
"/newpage.jsp?year=2002&month=January&date=2"
...for day 31:
"/newpage.jsp?year=2002&month=January&date=31"
Can someone please point me in the right direction? Is it even possible to do what I want? (I assume it is...but maybe I can't use out.print???)

Hi. The expression "<%=some_Java_expression %>" is the JSP tag, that returns string value to HTML code. You should use it in HTML block like:
<%String myname="Ivan"; %>
<body>
<p>My name is: <%=myname %></p>
But You tried to use it inside the string expression and it generated some code like this:
<a href="newpage.jsp?year=<%=yy%">...
, didn't it?
It invokes method out.print(" ... "), that prints this string value (but in the HTML block). So You tried to print something inside the print method. You should rewrite Your code like this:
for (int i = 1; i <= daysInMonth; i++)
out.print("<td>");
out.print("<a href=newpage.jsp?year="+yy+"&month="+months[mm]+"&date="+i+">");
out.print(i);
out.print("</a>");
out.print("</td>");
I used the + operator to join Your code for link tag with the values (yy, months[mm], i.

My understanding is that you have a PDF document in a document library and you want to open the PDF in one click.
If my understanding is right, then you can set the default open behavior to ”open in the client application”.
Also, please install the corresponding software to the default program of opening the PDF.
About making others not to open the file, you can set the Library permission for specific user to achieve it.

Is it possible to create a form with Livecycle that a user in Adobe Reader can import data into?

I made a form, then found out that much of the data that needs to be filled out by our data entry personnel (in Adobe Reader) already exists in an Excel file. Is there a way I can set up this form so that my coworkers can import specific records from the Excel file and save themselves time?
I noticed that when I open the Reader-Enabled version of the file that the "Import Data" command under "Extensions" is dimmed out. So even if I could successfully create an XML file it looks like we couldn't import, even to a Reader-Enabled PDF form. Why is that?

Possible Bug concerning JClient Forms with tables

If I instantiate a JClient Frame first time a lot of empty rows appear in the table, if there is NO DATA in the database table.
If there IS data in the database table, at the fist time everything is OK, but if I instantiate the JClient frame a second time, in the JClient table a lot of empty rows appear in addition to the expected ones.
To reproduce this behaviour you can create a single JClient Table Form and then add a component to instantiate a new Form of the actual one e.g. I have reproduced it changing the standard About Menu so that <About> instantiates and sets visible the Form again.

Possible to create a form with different options for different items?

So I want to create a form in DW but the problem is that I have 3 items....and I want different form subjects for each item? Is there a way to do this so that if select item #1 that 1 set of options comes up....if I select item #2 a different set of options etc.??

Is it possible to use Adobe Forms with 4.6C

Hi Experts,
We have client who have got 4.6c as R/3, and they wanted to build some Adobe Interactive forms on it.
As per my idea, to build the Adobe Interactive forms we need to have minimum of Netweaver 2004 for runtime environment.
If I am correct, can we build the forms in both of these combinations Netweaver 2004 and R/3 4.C.
I f this combination doesn't support to run adobe forms can any one please advise me what are the upgrades needed for R/3 4.6C to make it work.

Is there possibility use UCS2 in procedures with out parameters?

I am trying to use UCS2 character set in my SQL strings. Everything works out nice and smoothly if I am using procedures which require only input parameters (like those which insert data in db).
But when I try to use procedure containing one output or input/output type parameter, all parameters are shortened by one character (2 bytes) after call. Length of data is ok, but one extra null is set where last character should be. Other characters are like they should be.
I am using Oracle version 8.1.7 in NT.
Fist I bind my variables with OCIBindByName and then set OCI_UCS2ID with OCIAttrSet.

There is no example program. There is extensive help on how to do this. Here's the basics.
1) There are two ways to define user error codes in LV6.1. If you are using LV6.0 or earlier, only one method is possible.
2) The 6.0 method involves wiring arrays of error codes and arrays of error code strings to the General Error Handler.vi. These codes will be used to explain any error code which is undefined in LV's internal error code database. Error codes reserved for users which are guaranteed not to be used by NI are from 5000 to 9999.
3) The 6.1 method allows you to create a specially formatted error code file on disk that will be merged with the LV error code database each time LabVIEW launches. For help on this, go to LV's online help, and in t
he Index tab, type
"user-defined error codes, in text files"
(without the quote marks)
4) If you want to set an error into the error cluster, use the General Error Handler.vi again. Wire your error code value to the Error Code terminal (the leftmost-topmost corner terminal). Wire the name of your VI to the Error Source terminal, and wire "No Dialog" to the Type of Dialog terminal (left-side, near the bottom). The error code cluster that comes out of this VI will either be the error in (if one was set) or a new error code cluster with your error and the status bit set to TRUE.
5) The attached demo is written in LV6.0.
