Is it possible to ignore postings from specific users

Hello,
is it possible to create a "black list" that will filter out postings from specific users?

Thomas

Intriguingly this answer seems to suggest a global one is possible.
Is it like Survivor and we get to vote who goes on it?

  • Hiding a document library from specific users or groups.

    Just FYI I am far from a SharePoint but have able to accomplish a lot from everyone's help on the forums, so thank you in advace.
    Now, Is it possible to hide a document library from specific users or groups? Here is what I am trying to accomplish.
    We have a Document library that we want the whole company to view, we will call this Company Share. We then want to have a separate library/app that
    is only visible to the Finance department. Then another library that is only visible to the shipping dept.
    So when Linda from finance logs into the SharePoint site under Site Contents she should only be able to see 2 items, Company share and Finance.
    Tom from shipping will only see Company Share and Shipping. Administrators and Management will see Company share, finance and shipping.
    I was able to hide the library using sharepoint designer by checking the box "Hide from Browser" which worked but now none of the users can view the library.
    They are only able to access it via a direct URLl link.
    Any help is appreciated.

    Hi 3s1k,
    What did you mean that "management does not want the actual folder library they are in to be visible"?
    Please give more information about your requirement?

  • How to identify relevant BADIs to hide a screen field from specific users

    We have a business requirement to hide a document item field (BSEG-XREF3) from specific users (i.e make the field invisible if the userid does not exist in a Z table) during FI invoice entry/maintenance/display via transactions FB01, FB02, FB03, FV50, FV60, FBV0, etc..  We know that it would be possible to do this via modification to the Process Before Output sections of LF040O00, LFDCBFM0, MF05AO00_DYNPRO_MODIFIZIEREN, MF05LO00, but would prefer to avoid modification if possible.
    I believe that BADIs could possibly be used for screen enhancements, but have not had any previous exposure to BADIs, so I'm really not sure whether it's possible to use BADIs for our specific requirement.  For example, using the advice given in the 2nd post in thread BADI for contract, I've searched SAPMF05A for all 'CALL METHOD cl_exithandler=>get_instance' statements, and have found that a single BADI (FBAS_CIN_MF05AFA0 - EWT - Downpayment Clearing - Tax transfer for CIN) seems to exist for FB01.  The description of this BADI sounds completely inappropriate for our requirement.  However, subsequent posts in that thread suggest far more BADIs for the relevant transaction than were given when searching the ABAP for all 'CALL METHOD cl_exithandler=>get_instance' statements, so I'm not convinced that the procedure I'm following will provide me with all the relevant BADIs for the transaction.
    Please can you advise me how to identify which BADIs - if any - can be used to control screens before output for FB01 screen SAPMF05A/332 (SAP R/3 4.6C)?
    Many thanks in anticipation,
    Jules

    Hi Kuntal,
    Thank you very, very much for your prompt response and very useful alternative suggestion.
    The screen variant solution would be invaluable under different circumstances, but would be too complex to administer for this particular issue because we're trying to hide the field from unauthorised users in over 100 invoice entry/maintenance/display transactions.
    We can make a Process Before Output modification to 4 SAP standard programs (LF040O00, LFDCBFM0, MF05AO00_DYNPRO_MODIFIZIEREN, MF05LO00) to make the field invisible for unauthorised users (i.e. whose user-ids are not in a Z* table), but would prefer to avoid modification if we could use BADIs instead.  You've said that you're not sure how we can identify the relevant BADIs, but I very much appreciate the suggestion you've made anyway - it might be useful to others who find themselves in a similar situation for a more limited number of transactions.
    Please can someone advise me how to identify which BADIs - if any - can be used to control screens before output for FB01 screen SAPMF05A/332 (SAP R/3 4.6C)?
    Many thanks,
    Jules

  • Send e-mail from specific user

    Hello!
    I'd like to create two different sending from SAP System - the first is monthly and the second is everyday.
    May I schedule jobs either send mail from concrete SAP Users?
    Otherwise Everyday job also can send preset messages from monthly job...
    SAP Release: NW 2004
    Thanks and Regards,
    A.M.

    Hello A.M.,
    You cannot schedule the job to send emails from specific users. If the send job is configured to run for INT, for example, it will send all emails with status 672 in SOST.
    One thing you can do is to set waiting time in the emails. To do this, go to SOST, select the emails you want to set a wait time and click on the button "Set Wait Time" (it's a clock icon next to the delete button).

  • Automatically accept screen sharing from specific user ???

    My mother is a newbie mac user. To be honest, she's a newbie computer user - full stop. She did inherit my PC laptop when I switched, but within a week she had crashed it. The mac she has is still running. (And guess who got it for her. I'm a good daughter.)
    Anyway - her G4 Powermac is running Leopard like a dream. In fact it is much faster now than before. Still, she has a few issues. Like the other day, she couldn't get music through her speakers and I'm abroad at the time.
    I asked her to accept a screen share, she did. I fixed the speaker issue and closed the screen share. She is happy as larry. But that got me thinking. Is it possible to automatically accept screen share from certain users? That would be a great help if that would be possible.
    Thanks in advance.

    Musicsites, here is your answer. Just follow the instructions completely and it will work quite well. I have it running and it allows my iMac to automatically answer incoming Screen Sharing requests ONLY from my MacBook.

  • Hiding specific Roles from specific users

    Dear All,
    Is there any way in the database that can hide a role from a user. For instance, if I create a role, then this role can be viewed by all the users defined in the database and then these users can grant priviliges of their own objects to such role. I want to create a Role where certain users can not see and should not be allowed to grant any priviliges for this Role...
    is this possible....
    Thanks
    Bil

    For instance, if I create a role, then this role can be viewed by all the users defined in the database no, I do not think so. Roles are only "visible" to powerful users that have access to the dictionary
    SQL> create role SECRETROLE123;
    Role created.
    SQL> grant create session to SECRETROLE123;
    Grant succeeded.
    SQL> grant select on scott.emp to SECRETROLE123;
    Grant succeeded.
    SQL> grant recovery_catalog_owner to SECRETROLE123;
    Grant succeeded.
    SQL> grant update (sal) on scott.emp to SECRETROLE123;
    Grant succeeded.
    SQL> conn blake/paper
    Connected.
    SQL> select * from dba_roles;
    select * from dba_roles
    ERROR at line 1:
    ORA-00942: table or view does not exist
    SQL> select * from role_tab_privs;
    no rows selected
    SQL> select * from role_sys_privs;
    no rows selected
    SQL> select * from role_role_privs;
    no rows selectedHowever, you cannot that easily prevent an user from granting a table privilege on its own table to a role
    SQL> grant all on t to secretrole123;
    Grant succeeded.
    SQL> select distinct grantee from user_tab_privs;
    GRANTEE
    SECRETROLE123Perhaps you can setup a database trigger

  • Hiding user adresses from specific users adress list

    Hi,
    I've had a request to hide certain mailboxes from certain users. I know I can hide an address from the entire directory, but I'm looking to hide an address from only certain users.
    I'm not explaining it greatly, but ideally I'm aiming to have an address such as [email protected] not searchable by any user who starts [email protected] or [email protected] but still be searchable bu users who start [email protected]
    Is this dooable?
    Thanks
    David

    The only way to do something like this is to create custom Address lists/Address book policies and assign them to the users you want to restrict. You can review the documentation here:

  • Is this possible without PBR - Routing from Specific Host to Any

    Hi,
    I have an issue where I don't currently have PBR options on my core switch. Now I know I can amend the SDM template and enable the routing one then reboot (I'm also runing ipservices). At the moment though this is not an option.
    I have a host - 10.44.129.34 /24 which is a VM.
    Current Gateway is 10.44.129.1 which is SVI on our Core.
    On the Core I'm looking to say -  anything from this specific host going to any remote network - use gateway 10.44.157.6. Is there a way for me to achieve this without PBR?
    I cannot amend the IP of the host IP either due to licensing issues with the software I can;t think of a way to do this without PBR.

    You can identify the traffic with an extended access list. But I can not think of anything you could do with that to achieve your objective other than PBR.

  • Cannot open mail from specific users

    I forgot to add, in my haste and frustration of 3 days, I uninstalled Office 2010 for the 2nd time and installed Office 2013. Same user, same problem, cannot open his mail...

    Good day
    Hope you can assist.
    I have a Outlook 2010 on Win7 64bit on a HP Probook 450.
    The notebook is on a domain and the user gets his mails of exchange.
    When my user receives new mail from only 2 out of 30 odd users, he cannot open them.
    He gets a error message, Outlook cannot find item.
    But if I go to autodiscover.xxxxxx/owa I can open the mail and reply to it.
    This occurs in cached and non cached mode.
    This happens in normal Outlook and in safemode Outlook.
    I have also uninstalled and reinstalled MS Offcie 2010 which did not help.
    Please advise, I'm going nuts...
    Thank you
    Gideon

  • Email from specific email not being forwarded to BB

    Since I have set up my owa email account on the BB, using BIS, there are emails I am unable to receive from specific users on the BB.  These users are within the same domain as me and the emails are in my inbox when I log in to my account through IE.  I also use an IMAP account on the BB and those users are copying that email and those emails are forwarded to the BB via that email, but not my email via OWA.  Has anyone had this issue before, does anyone have any kind of solution to this problem?
    We have already deleted and readded the email on the BB and nothing is working....
    Any insight would be helpful.
    Thanks

  • SYSADMIN - Assigning printer to a specific user only

    Hello,
    We use a specific printer for the purpose of printing checks. However, several times it has happened that users select this printer for printing other reports resulting in Spoiled checks.
    We want to restrict only specific user to print on this check printer. Is it possible to assign printer to specific user and restrict others from using it.

    There is no supported way to do this via the apps. Notes on metalink suggest to change the name of the printer to something to flag the user like "CHECKS ONLY" then assign a printer style to the printer. This causes the user to have to specify the print style when submitting a request.
    Note 145070.1 illustrates this.

  • LSMW - Access to Specific Objects Permissions to specific users

    Hi guys,
    I want to know if it is possible to allow access to specific users that are in charge of the execution of a specific object of and LSMW.
    Regards,
    Eric

    Hi guys,
    One solution i got right now (but it isn't the ideal), is to debug the execution step of the LSMW in order to find the name of the program that iit's been call and the one that its call inthe step in wich the files are been specify. Then develop a "Z" program that calls both of them and give the user the access to this new transaction.
    Any better sugestion?.

    Eric

  • Hide ssid from specific APs, is it possible?

    Hello Experts,
    Can i hide specific ssid from specific APs?
    Is there any method avilable ?
    If yes then can you please tell me the config ??
    THANKS IN ADVANCE.

    Hi,
    Yes, it is possible.
    You can use AP Groups to define what AP's will have what SSID's.
    By creating AP Groups you can control  What SSIDs advertise on which APs, What dynamic interface map to each AP group (to reduce the broadcast size while having the same SSID).
    Here are the 2 links which helps u to configure AP groupes.

  • Is it possible to ignore and not import JPG files when a JPG and raw file of the same name exist?

    Is it possible to ignore JPG files on import? I shoot raw + JPG and see no reason to keep the JPGs; I shoot JPG primarily as a backup (I back all the JPGs up online to my smugmug account then delete them before importing the raw files), but they're also occasionally handy if one wants to get a quick print in the field. I know that one can set a preference to "Treat JPEG Files Next to Raw Files As Separate Photos", but even then they still are imported.
    As an example, say I have this scenario (not on DSLRS, but on pNs cameras, sometimes a JPG but not raw is captured - I suspect this has to do with how the buffer is filling) with these files on a memory card:
    IMG_0001.JPG
    IMG_0001.CR2
    IMG_0002.JPG
    IMG_0003.JPG
    IMG_0003.CR2
    When I import pictures from this folder, I'd like 2 CR2 files and 1 JPG to be imported. I'm even willing to copy the relevant files and drag and drop them onto LR's Library module. But even if I do that, all five files get imported. Thanks!

    For this typical example 98% of the image files are transferred while LR is building previews, which is exactly what I was suggesting be avoided.
    No, I don't believe that's correct. As I said in my previous post, Lightroom's Import is a two-stage process.....first copy the files from the card, then when that is finished, render whatever previews have been requested.
    AFAIK there is nothing unusual about my system, Lightroom has always imported in this two-stage way as far back as I can remember. Based on this I see no 'safety' benefit from copying files first outside Lightroom, then using an ADD import process. On the contrary, as this takes away the possibility of using the "Second Copy on Import" option, as well as having to manually setup import folders, I see nothing but downside from that approach.
    Mea culpa, Jim is correct! I checked my Windows 7 system with LR4.2 and I monitored the 'Destination folder' during an import direct from memory card to hard drive. 'Copy and import' showed in the progress bar until all image files were visible using Windows Explorer in the 'Destination folder.' Only after all files had transferred did the progress bar change to ‘Render 1:1 Previews.’ I started using LR1.0 on a Pentium 3 single-core system with Windows XP 32 bit, which I think is when I made this observation. Regardless, it is clear that LR4.2 is using a two-step import process. Thanks Jim for being persistent!
    It still begs the question why some people are experiencing very slow imports, damaged image files, and other related import problems from memory cards? My guess (and it's only a guess) is that they have 1) 'Rename Files,' 2) 'Automatically write changes into XMP,' or 3) 'Include Develop settings in metadata inside JPEG, TIFF and PSD files' checked in LR preferences. It would be a good idea for anyone experiencing import issues to try an import with these three (3) options unselected.
    My apologies to the OP DBarman for going off topic. Hopefully the extra information and observations are helpful.
