Is it possible to import .ics to calendar in iphone

We are developing a web application for mobiles that would give user an option to save a meeting to his calendar. Is it possible to download a .ics file in iPhone from web browser (safari)?

Maybe you should ask in the developer forum:
Developer Forums
or iCal forum
iCal
iPhone Manual page 68
import events from a calendar file: If you receive an .ics calendar file in Mail, open the message and tap the calendar file to import all of the events it contains. You can also import an .ics file published on the web by tapping a link to the file. Some .ics files subscribe you to a calendar instead of adding events to your calendar. See Working with multiple calendars below.
Subscribe to a calendar: Go to Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars, then tap Add Account. Tap Other, then tap Add Subscribed Calendar. Enter the server and filename of the .ics file to subscribe to. You can also subscribe to an iCalendar (.ics) calendar published on the web, by tapping a link to the calendar.

  • Importing ICS to calendar across devices

I have set up family sharing for a calendar. When I import an ICS into this shared calendar it a) doesn't share to the target devices (an iPhone 6 on 8.1.2) and b) it disappears from my iPad after around 10 mins or so (iPad Air 2 on 8.1.2).
    What am I doing wrong?

Which version of Outlook is letting you export/save your events as .ics? We often export events out as a .pst, then install the Outlook Connector (as default calendar/profile), then import those appointments (from the .pst). This has worked for 1000s of appointments and rarely causes much grief.

  • Import ics into Calendar, getting error 403...

I have been getting this issues since upgrading two weeks ago to Yosemite. Every invitation I get from my work colleagues end with this continuous error. It means I am constantly cancelling the errors for each invitation continuously all day.
    The server responded:
    “403”
    to operation CalDAVMoveEntityQueueableOperation.
(Someone else posted the same question but when I try to reply Apples says I am logged in so I posted it again)
I have tried deleting all calendar settings and connecting to iCloud and downloading the calendars again. This fixes it until I get new invitations and the problem starts again.

Please take each of the following steps that you haven't already tried. Stop when the problem is resolved. Back up all data before making any changes.
    Step 1
In the Internet Accounts preference pane, delete any calendar accounts you don't use.
If there's no improvement, delete all calendar accounts and add them back. With an iCloud account, all you have to do is uncheck and recheck the box marked Calendars & Reminders in the iCloud preference pane.
    Step 2
You may be trying to access an invited event that you declined, or one that was rescheduled after you accepted it. The error message should give you a clue as to what it is. If the calendar is on iCloud, you can bring up the Calendar on the website and select
              Show Declined Events
from the popup menu with the gear icon in the upper right corner of the page. The declined events will appear in gray, and one of them should match what's shown the error message. [Credit for this solution to ASC member Psi.]
    Step 3
If you get the error when trying to accept an invitation in an email attachment, it's because the organizer didn't properly create the event.
    Step 4
Follow the instructions in this support article. Modify as necessary for a calendar that's not on iCloud.

  • Is it possible to import into iTunes from my iPhone?

I have just had to re-download itunes and now want to import all the stuff that is already on my iPhone. Is it possible to do this? I want to do this so that i do not lose the stuff already on the iPhone when i next Sync.

iTunes will only give you the option to copy your iTunes Store purchases directly from an iPhone or iPod to the computer, you'll find details in this article: Copying iTunes Store purchases from your iPod or iPhone to a computer
Purchased applications can be downloaded over again, see this article for details: How to redownload purchased applications from the App Store
For everything else (music from CDs, other downloads and including iTunes purchased songs and in some cases, videos and games) there are a number of third party utilities that you can use to retrieve the music files and playlists from your iPod Touch or iPhone. You'll find that they have varying degrees of functionality and some will transfer data (such as playcounts and ratings), movies, videos, photos, podcasts and games as well.

  • Can't Import ICS Calendars with 10.2.1.2941

    Hi all,
in the last couple of days, I tried import ICS calendars on my Z10 running 10.2.1.2941, and each time, the Calendar app only imports one of the events in the calendar.
The first time, I created a calendar for the 2014 World Cup using iCalendar on OS X 10.9.3, put it in an e-mail, downloaded it from the e-mail on my Z10 and tapped on the file in the list of downloads. At that point, I simply got the Calendar app's New Event screen for only one of the events and an option to save or cancel.
The 2nd time, I tried loading the calendar from http://bclions.com/schedule/importSchedule?year=2014&team=1&timezone=America/Vancouver , which worked perfectly on my Macbook Pro, but on my Z10, I got the Calendar app's New Event screen for only one of the events.
This looks like a bug in BB10's Calendar app. Is there a workaround, other than synching with my laptop or Google Calendar ?
One more thing, on my Z10, I have one local calendar, two Google calendars and a Facebook calendar. Syncing with the Google and FB calendars work perfectly.
    Thanks.

My O/S is windows 7 home edition, the error is :
Please make sure that write privileges are enabled or that disk is not full.
How to give grant write privilege ? coz I have granted connect, resource, all privileges to REP_OWNER, REP_USER, OWBSYS .. but still can't.
    Thanks for advance.

  • How do i automatically import ics calendar invitations from email into apple calendar?

how do i automatically import ics calendar invitations (sent from Windows computer - Outlook) from email into apple calendar?

From Calendar Help. The only two ways listed are using the Import command or a drag and drop.
    Import events into a calendar
If you want, create a new calendar for the events.Add or delete a calendar
Choose File > Import > Import.
Locate and select the calendar file that contains the events, and then click Import.
Choose the calendar you created or another calendar to add the events to.
You can also drag a .ics file to Calendar. The events in the file are added to the calendar that’s highlighted in the Calendar list.
You might be able to set up and Automator action to do it for you.

  • How can I view my iCalendar on Google mail? Is it possible to import the iCalendar into the Google calendar? If so, how?

Is it possible to import the iCalendar into the Google calendar? If so, how?

You can certainly add your google calendar to your iPad: http://support.google.com/calendar/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=151674
This will allow you to sync calendars back and forth between your iPad and Google.
However you cannot import already existing calendars on iPad into Google from the iPad itself.
    You would need to:
Sync your iPad with a computer
And then use the computer to import your calendar to Google: http://support.google.com/calendar/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=37118
If you are using a Mac I can tell you how to sync the calendars to the computer and then put them on google.
If you are using a Windows machine I would suggest you post your question in the iPad forum where the iPad experts reside: https://discussions.apple.com/community/ipad/using_ipad
    Cheers.

  • Imported ics calendar does not appear in iCal on my iPhone

When I import an .ics calendar to my iCal as a new calendar - it ends up in my "on my mac"-list and not on my "apple-ID-list" which (I figure) is the reason why the imported calendars aren't showing up on my iPhone iCal. What I can I do to change this??

    Hi,
I couldn't import ics invitation received by email (in Mail). When I clicked on the ics invitation iCal was opening buy the ics invitation didn't appear.
Reading a few post I realized I could drag the ics invitation from from to iCal and then the invitation appeared into the "Waiting to confirm box" - on the right of the calendar button. By default is tried to sync using the "on my mac" account.
    ANSWER:
I wasn't using this account, so I DELETED all my "on my mac" calendars and iCloud calendar is now my default. From now on all my ics invitation are imported into iCal AND they sync flawlessly to my other device (iPhone 5 and iPad 4) and to people sharing this calendar.

  • N8: Import and sync calendar from csv/ics

    Hi!
Is it possible to import calendar entries from an csv (Outlook) or iCal (1.0 or 2.0)? Is it possible to specify the URL from the correspondent file? I don't want to sync manually and the file changes normally once or twice a week.
Background: My university offers my personal schedule as a download in the formats: HTML, CSV, CSV (Outlook), iCal 1.0, iCal 2.0. It is possible to sync this on iOs without problems and on Android with a workaround as Google has problems with password saved (.htaccess) URLs. How can i do this on Symbian Belle?

    Hi!
I have the same problem on my university. There is a way to sync google calendar with Symbian Belle by using active sycn mailbox. But today I have problems with importing ical from my university to google calendar. It will be very usefull to make some application to import task from file or url adres to phone calendar.

  • How can I import my Google calendar to iCloud calendar via web or ios?

I've decided I want to move from contacts/calendar in gmail to icloud. I was going to do the same with mail, but it seems iCloud doesn't have the level of functionality that gmail does.
My problem is that all instructions for importing my gmail calendar into icloud require some sort of desktop (I use PC) mail/calendar program. I don't use one. I manage my mail & calendars purely on my iphone or on the website(s). How can I import my .ics file into iCloud calendar via either the iCloud web interface or via my iPhone?

The only possible way I could imagine it might work ( can't guarantee it ) is as followed.
#1 Your Google Calendar is synced with your iphoen and you go into settings to turn it off.
#2 It will ask you: "What would you like to do with excisting local calendars on your iphone", you click keep them on iphone.
#3 Now you sync your empty icloud calendar with your iphone and hopefully the local calendar would sync on your icloud calendar?
Might work...not sure, play around with the settings in the iphone calendar app etc...

  • Problem importing ics files into iCal

Importing ics files into iCal is the problem, but first here is the background on why I'm trying to import.
I have an iMac and iPad, and recently changed my iPhone 3G for an iPhone 4S.  Having got the iPhone 4S I have now set up all my devices to use iCloud.  In moving iCal to iCloud an extra calendar was created "automatically" in iCal, called "Me".  This "Me" calendar contains a partial duplicate of my main calendar, which is called "My Calendar".  In fact, some of the events from "My Calendar" seem to have been moved to "Me", and some have been duplicated.
It seems as it I now need to merge the "Me" and "My calendar" calendars to get back to where I was.
I have tried to export one of the calendars and then re-import it into the other.  The export seems to work fine, but every single time I try to re-import the ics file iCal crashes at the end of the import process, and the import is not completed.
Can anyone help?  This has been driving me absolutely crazy today!
I even tried manually moving events from one calendar to another, but they reappeared.  I think this was because my iPhone/iPad were re-syncing via iCloud and overwriting the changes I had just made.
I don't mind if I end up with one calendar with duplicates as I can remove them with iCal Dupe Deleter.
Or if there are any other alternative solutions I'd love to hear them!
    All help greatly appreciated!
(P.S. Is it just me, or is Apple software slowly getting as unreliable as Windows used to be?  I get more problems with software updates now than when I first got a Mac about 8 years ago!)

Not a great answer but I dragged the attachment either to the finder - app - ical or the icon. It placed it on the calendar. I clicked in and accepted. So, no auto populate. Need to drag and drop. So glad I paid the 20 bucks to upgrade to 10.8

  • Subscribing to multiple ICS web calendars results in duplicate calendar msg

I'm trying to subscribe to multiple ICS/iCal calendars that are published by a local hockey league on their web site. The link is actually to a PHP script that uses a query string parameter to determine which team's calendar you want. But when I attempt to subscribe to more than one of these in iCal, it says it thinks it's the same calendar! But when I do them each separately, they work fine. I can't figure out why and would appreciate tips, advice, etc from others who may have encountered similar situations.
The specific URLs I am using are:
    http://stats.siahl.org/team-cal.php?team=664&format=iCal
    http://stats.siahl.org/team-cal.php?team=316&format=iCal
    http://stats.siahl.org/team-cal.php?team=31&format=iCal
For now, I'm having to save these to .ics files and import them manually into iCal. This ***** because they won't auto-refresh... but I need to find a solution to this bogus "duplicate calendar" message...
    Any help is appreciated.

    cj,
If a subscribed holiday calendar is current and events are displayed far enough into the future you can use iCal>File>Export for one of the subscriptions. Then use iCal>File>Import on the previously exported file. When you import, be sure to create an unique name for the calendar. Now you can delete the subscription, and you can edit/delete the calendar, and rename the freshly imported calendar.

  • HT2513 is it possible to import my contacts into my ical?

is it possible to import my contacts into my ical?

This is NOT what we (most of us) want to do ... We want to have the information from our contact(s) automatically be available in the calendar event. If we "invite" the contact, they get to see and are asked to respond (accept / decline / maybe) ... NOT always something we want. For example, I am going to an event and I want to remember their face (what they look like - maybe I've only met them once awhile ago), their spouses name, children or business profile / items and I don't want them to know I have made this one of my agenda items for the event. If I entered all this including their profile picture in contacts, I certainly don't want to enter it all again AND BTW, iCal doesn't really have the proper fields for this information anyway. Sure I can use the notes section but this is double entry. As you can see from just this one example, I would not want to invite them to this calendar entry. I can think of many other instances where that would be problematical (to say the leasat) as well.
It is really incomprehansible that contact, iCal and even mail does not have at least this level of integration.

  • Hi at the moment my ipod is on manual sync mode. Is there any way of changing this to auto-sync without losing the music on my ipod or library? Possibly more importantly is there a way I can transfer the ratings from my ipod onto my i-tunes?

This is so I can delete music from my ipod knowing its rated on my i-tunes so I can then see later if I want to re-add it based on its rating
    Thanks

  • Captivate 5.5 Is it possible to import PPT slides in Notes Page view?

    Hello experts,
This may seem like an odd question. I'd like to display all the notes in the page of a PowerPoint deck that provides samples of code and explaintions of what the code is doing. It is too much information for the slide, which just has discussion point bullets, and I think it is too much for the closed caption pane. It this possible to import PPT slides in Notes Page view?
Thank you so much in advance for any hints, tips, and replies.
    Kindest regards,
    P

I found an alternative but circuitous way of achieving the desired result. In PowerPoint I opened, then I printed the PPT presentationto a PDF selecting the Notes Page option instead of Full Slide. By then using a PDF converter to convert it back to PPT I was able to insert the  PPT as is. In other words it "looks" just like the PPT Notes Page view, which is exactly what I wanted. The code snippet and notes were intact.
