Is it possible to import your own wave files into the EXS-24?

I have been wondering if it is possible to create your own samples and import them into the EXS-24.
I just created some short wave files of a voice and want to recall them whenever I need them. Is that possible? And if yes? How exactly?
Thanks!

Sure, open an empty patch in EXS, hit the edit button and drag the wavs from your finder into the sample zone, a menue will show up asking you what samples to map to which keys. Read the manual about the EXS, it sure helps...

    You load them into iTunes and then sync them to your iPad. You'll then find them in the Video app. For detailed information, consult the iPad User Guide; the sections on Synching and Videos will be most applicable. Then if you have specific questions, post back and we can help further.

  • I cannot import 5.1 WAV files into iTunes

    Hello
    I'm running iTunes 11.1.5 (5) 64 bit on OSX 10.9.2. I'm trying to import some wav files into iTunes, they are about 6-11 minutes long each, they have 5.1 (6 total) channels, 16 bit depth and are sampled at 48,000 kHz. I can run them in QuickTime Player 10.3 (727.3) without any problems, but iTunes will not run them. This stil happens if I try to import the same files when they are in Apple Lossless format as well. I have several other surround sound files sourced from other stuff and they wil not import either, but they still run in Quicktime Player just fine. I don't have any pluging installed for iTunes or QuickTime Player. Does iTunes just not support surround sound audio, or is there something wrong with the files that I'm trying to import?

    Hi Michael,
    I bounced a PCM 5.1 WAV Audio File from Logic Pro X, This File alredy plays 5.1 surround from desktop just with the space bar preview and also with QuickTime ok? But Itunes 11 doesn´t import PCM 5.1 (multi) Wav audio files as you know, so I Knew that in the Itunes 11 for the movies tracks the 5.1 surround audio is automatic.See this link below
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ht4072 -
    What I did?
    I just imported my audio file to Apple COMPRRESSOR, and choose the H.264 output format and I changed from .MOV to .MP4 (This one Itunes import with multi audio 5.1)
    and also select 48 Khz and 720 Kbps. After encoding my audio file from ( 226 Mb) PCM 5.1 Wav about 4.20'  went to a AAC 6 channes 48 Khz / 720 Kbps  .MP4 file with 24 Mb size. Itunes import withou problem and played 5.1 surround as I wish.
    I hope you understood my explanation,
    Regards

  • Play WAV files into the .jar

    Hello,
    I'm doing small application Java with Netbeans.
    I need is to play .wav file sounds are incorporated into the jar.
    I do not want to use external libraries or external sound files, etc.. I want to go with my .JAR to the office, home, etc ... just need the JAR to hear the sounds.
    I've created a folder "Sounds" in "src" and in that place I have my sounds. (Project / src / sounds). It's a way to incorporate a JAR file, or am I wrong?? Run independently of the sound files.
    At the time of reproducing the sound I do the following:
    Clip sonido = AudioSystem.getClip();
    File f = new File(getClass().getResource(/Sonidos/alarma.wav).toURI());
    sonido.open(AudioSystem.getAudioInputStream(f));
    sonido.start();
    If I run the program with netbeans, I play sounds, but which only transfer my .JAR to another computer, does not play ...
    Any ideas?
    Thank's.

    I don't understand, before I had done as you have written me, but did not work, but now it works.
    Problem solved. Thank's.
    Posting the code here:
    InputStream path = getClass().getResourceAsStream("/Sonidos/alarma.wav");
    try
    sonido = AudioSystem.getClip();
    sonido.open(AudioSystem.getAudioInputStream(path));
    sonido.start();
    }catch(Exception fail)
    System.out.println(fail);

  • Loading WAV file with the EXS

    I created a new instrument in the options menu in the EXS24, then created a new zone, then clicked on the audio file option in the zone parameter box to bring up the option to select the audio file. I loaded the WAV sample in and when I play my MIDI keyboard I get the Default EXS sound and not the sample whats going on?

    You have to:
    - SAVE the instrument, giving it a name. The best workflow is to save the song as a project, then save all the exs instruments that you create for that song ("specific" to that song, like vocals for example) in the "sampler Instruments" folder that you will find inside the project's folder. If you bound to create more "generic" exs insts, then you can save them in the main Sampler Instruments folder (I've created sub folders named "my drums", "my bazz", "my fx", etc.)
    - LOAD the inst that you've just created in the EXS (black and green slot)
    You're done.
    BTW... exs is not that intuitive, isn't it?

  • Import your own pictures/icon in logic?

    Hi,
    I was just wondering if it's possible to import your own pictures, e.g synth pics, into logic so that you can select them as the icon for that track?
    On the left hand side where you can change the icon of each track, if you click-hold on the icon it gives you a lot of icons to choose, but i'd like to use a few of my own.
    thanks for any help and advice,
    Tom

    Have you looked in the manual (search for ICON)?

  • Is there any way to import my OWN DVD movies into iTunes and my video iPod?

    I just purchased the new 30 GB video iPod last week, and although I have already purchased a few movies from the iTunes store, I wanted to know if there was a way to import a DVD movie from my own DVD library like we can with our own music CDs?
    Thanks,
    Suzanne

    "That's too bad, because these are movies (DVDs) that I own and have purchased legally myself. How is that different from importing your own purchased CDs into iTunes? Seems like a double standard to me."
    About "legally owning" the DVDs - Yes, I understand, and I'm figuring that most folks who want to put their DVDs onto their iPod are owning the movies legally (or, at least, it appears so).
    That's not really the issue here, though.
    The problem is, there is an encryption that is written onto regular, copyrighted DVDs (i.e., movies). In order to get that onto your iPod, you will have to use software on your computer that breaks that encryption, and makes the file into some more "normal" format, like say, MP4.
    This action can arguably be considered as illegal, in a sense, since you are removing the encryption that's on DVD, which is protecting it from being easily copied, and transferred around. (which would be illegal).
    This is a bit different than CDs, since, although they are copyrighted too, the songs are usually not in a protected format.
    If you have a song that you've purchased from the iTunes Store, and you want to break into that "protected" file format, that's the same kind of issue as the DVD ripping.
    (Notice that the Hosts included that into the ADUA as well, right along with DVD ripping.)
    ...It's quite an interesting kind of subject, isn't it?

  • How do you import multi track wav files

    How do you import multi track wave files into Logic Pro?
    These files are form a Sound Devices 664 mixer.

    Is this a 5 or 6 channel single wav file?
    I don't believe Logic will import these but can't be 100% sure because I'm not using the very latest version, I'm at 9.1.5 because it's stable. I do know that "SoundTrack Pro" that shipped with the disk version of Logic can export multichannel files so I'm guessing that it may very well open them as well. Soundtrack Pro has been discontinued but if you do have it, make sure it's the latest version.
    Or... if you know anyone with the Nuendo DAW, it will open multichannel wavs which you can then export to any format you wish.
    Might also want to look at "Reaper" it may well open Multichannel WAV files and has a 30 or 60 day trial license and only costs $60 for a license. An amazing DAW mainly developed by a single individual.

  • Can I import a 10g MDL file into a 9.2 repository?

    Good Morning/Afternoon/Evening
    I started with OWB10g and created a repository. After creating several modules I realized I had an Oracle 9.2 database in which to deploy the runtime stuff.
    I was unable to install the server side (AIX 5.2) binaries since I didn't have a 10g Universal Installer.
    I exported the 10g repository information to an MDL file.
    I dropped the 10g repository and created a 9.2 repository and also installed the 9.2 runtime components. All is cool so far.
    I then wanted to import the MDL file from the 10g repository into the 9.2 repository and its then I hit the snag.
    Is it possible to import a 10g MDL file into a 9.2 repository?
    I was hoping the format was a standaard CWM type that would be recognized by either version but it looks like I'm incorrect.
    Any other suggestions on how to get the 10g repository information into the 9.2 repository?
    I still have the 10g repository on another server so I am able to do other types (?) of exports or whatever.
    Many thanks for the help.
    Gary

    Gary,
    I am puzzled by the reason "I was unable to install the server side (AIX 5.2) binaries since I didn't have a 10g Universal Installer." OWB 10g comes with its own copy of 10g Universal Installer. I am not claiming to ever install on AIX myself, but can you list the errors you get, perhaps we can troubleshoot the underlying problem, rather than working around it.
    Not to dodge your question on exporting 10g MDL to 9.2. Even though this is an unsupported and untested scenario, because OWB 10g did not introduce any new objects, you can try editing the MDL as below. I don't see any risk in trying. Find the MDLRELEASE and RELEASE statements at the top (not the comments with #, they don't matter and change values back to 9.2, as in:
    MDLRELEASE=9.2
    RELEASE=9.2.0.2.0
    And becuase OWB 9.2 does not know what Database 10g is, if you have any Database locations in your MDL that are set to 10g, change them to 9.2 as in:
    [...]Oracle Database|9.2|[...]

  • Import a 10g DMP file into a 9.2.0.5 instance

    Is it possible to import a 10g DMP file into a 9.2.0.5 instance? Thanks
    in advance for your thoughts.

    No, do NOT run the catexp.sql from 9i in your 10g db! That was only a valid method with Oracle 6/7 and Oracle 7/8!
    Just use the Oracle 9.2 version of exp to create the dumpfile from the 10g database. You can use SQL*Net to connect to the 10g db from your 9.2 server connecting like system/manager@tnsname. Then use 9.2 imp to import the dumpfile into your 9.2 db.
    If you have access to Metalink please refer to the following note for full details on compatibility between Oracle releases for exp/imp: 132904.1

  • Importing data- using xml file into HANA Table

    Hi,
    We are using (HDB STUDIO ) - revision 60.......
    Is it possible to import data using XML file into HANA table (Master,Fact tables)?
    (Without using any intermediate adapters for conversion of data.....)
    Can any one suggest us........
    Thank you.

    Hi user450616
    I am a bit confused about what you are trying to achieve.
    Are you:
    1. importing a CSV file into APEX
    2. adding an extra column to the Oracle Table
    3. populating the extra column with the CSV filename?
    Let us know if this is what you are trying to do.

  • Storing  WAVE file into database from sql plus.

    dear all
    I have create a table with two attributes,sl_no number and song long raw type.
    what will be the insert command to insert a .wav file into the database.if not then you can give me some alternate solution also.
    thanks.

    You can use DBMS_LOB.LoadFromFile, I assume you would load these as a BLOB.
    The documentation can be found on technet at
    urlhttp://technet.oracle.com/docs/products/oracle9i/doc_library/901_doc/appdev.901/a89852/dbms_20b.htm#1009007
    [\url]
    An alternative would be to use java to read the file from the file system, and serve it up as a CLOB or BLOB, and INSERT it into the database from there.
    Good Luck,
    Eric Kamradt

  • "Input contract violation" error message when trying to import a .wav file into AE?

    I am trying to import a .wav file into AE and keep getting an "input contract violation" message from the program followed by it shutting down. If it means anything, I bought the song online, but it has been paid for and I downloaded the .wav file after my purchase. Any idea of why this may be happening? Are there any particular settings which may be mandatory on the project timeline to import a 3min song? Thank you!

    YOu have not provided any system info, not told us what version of AE you use, your audio setting, what specifics in the audio file and a million other things. See how it may not be possible for anyone to tell you anything beyond "Your computter sucks!" ???

  • Cannot hear imported wav files in the output

    Hi, I am using Macromedia Captivate. Version 1.01.1447
    I have imported a wav file and when I am playing the slide containing the audio file everything is fine, in particular I hear my audio file. However, when going to the preview of the entire slideshow (or just 5 slides), or if I preview the show in the browser, I do not hear anything. Also, when exporting the movie as a standalone file, I don't hear anything.
    Does anyone know a solution for this issue?
    Thanks!

    If you can get to the instrument editor, drag and drop your regions or files onto the keyboard and answer the following questions. To preview it have an EXS24 loaded up with EXS Instrument #5678 (or whichever number it happens to be.
