Is it possible to insert a simcard into macbook? Not 3g, oldest kind of simcards.

I don't want to call via a phone. I prefer making calls via computers cause their keys and screen are bigger. My mobile operator provided me with an unlimited tarif. So, is it possible to use a macbook as a phone, that is to insert a sim card into it or connect the sim via a usb device or conect it in another way? I mean a kind of sim cards that can be used even by most primitive mobile phones. That is, not a mini sim card for iPhone, not a 3G sim card.

It also doesn't have any sort of cell radio, 3g or otherwise.  You would need to get some type of external cellular data device (i.e. USB) that would accept your SIM card.  Without knowing details, it's impossible to go on.

  • Is it possible to insert a document into another?

    I would like to insert a document into another document without cutting and pasting. That is, to "insert" it into the present document. I have been unable to find that option. Is it possible?

    It would seem a logical function, though Pages is in essence a $30.00 program so it's not going to have all the features one might wish. You can submit feedback to Apple on the issue here, though:

  • How to insert a CD into MacBook?

    Hi, bought my first Mac today, which I'm very happy being with. There's one problem however - I can't insert the CD into the slot-loading device. It pulls only about to 40% and something mechanical there stops it, like a small wheel inside. I've tried pushing the CD even harder, but it remains that way . Is it the normal behaviour?

    Actually as you probably know it's not normal. What really should happen is you insert the disc and it'll pull it away from you and continue to seat the disc in the drive.
    Open up iTunes or something like that and use the "Eject" button just to make sure the drive isn't stuck somewhere in middle of either an eject or insertion.
    Most likely though since you just got your Mac you'll probably going to need to take it in.

  • Is it possible to insert a page into a number of PDF documents

    Hi,
    I was working on a project that requiring putting a front page with license information into 200-300 PDF documents. Is there a batch process like the header/footer function that allows one to insert the same page into hundreds of PDF files?
    Thanks

    This can be done with a simple script. Let's say the file is located under C:\temp\cover.pdf ... You can then use this code in a batch process (AKA Action):
    this.insertPages(-1, "/C/temp/cover.pdf");
    Run it on your files, and that's it!

  • Is it possible to insert a url into a design I have created in Photoshop?

    Is it possible to create an image with multiply links in it or how can I separate my design in Photoshop so that I can assign the links to each element in our email marketing system?

    It is possible to assign multiple URL to the same image using the slice tool.
    After loading your image, use the slice tool to mark out the areas and then use the slice selection tool to assign URL to the sliced up image.
    Below: After selecting Slice Selection Tool, double click on the pix icon at the corner of the slices you want to assign URLs to.
    Below: Go to File/Save for Web to choose the output format. After selecting Save, you need to output the images with the html as the markup for the URL is in the html file and not in the sliced up images.

  • Developing an Add-in for Adobe Reader to insert the PDF into Lotus Notes

    Hi
    We currently have a document management solution in MS Word & Excel, where by you can open/create a document click a button that is linked to a macro and it brings a Document Management screen up and allows you to save the file into a new Lotus Notes Document.
    We are now trying to get the same functionality into Adobe Reader, whereby a user can open a PDF they have on their PC and then go to a menu item and it will perform similar function to our macro/VB that we have setup in MS Word & Excel.
    Does anyone know of anyone who has developed such an idea or could point me in the right direction of where to start developing as I have never developed any add-in/plug-ins for Adobe Reader.
    This needs to be done really in Visual Basic, but any help would be great
    Thanks
    Ian

    You start by downloading the Acrobat SDK.
    In the SDK is information about developing a plugin for Reader, which will require you to obtain a license from Adobe.  Submit the necessary paperwork to see if you are approved.   It doesn’t make much sense to start development if you don’t get approval.
    Once approved, you will want a copy of Adobe Acrobat for development as it’s easier than developing with Reader.
    Plugins are developed in C/C++ and there are samples in the SDK.

  • Inserting an image into a table using the iPad?

    I am trying to make an evidence table in pages. I need to insert photographs into a table, next to the related statement. Is it possible to insert a photograph into the table on an iPad as I obviously don't have the 'command' button that others are using. If this is possible I want to be able to insert the picture as a predefined size?

    Hi,
    Yes, you can do this by using the Word Edit Cell VI under Report Generation>>Word Specific>>Word Tables in your block diagram functions pallette.  After creating a table, you can edit specific cells and send the file path of the image saved on your computer to that specific cell.  I put together an example that I've attached here as well to help you out with this.

  • How to insert a number into MsFLEXgrid control in labview

    i insert a MsFlexGrid in a container of a vi,i want to insert something into the control,
    such as "10" into the cell(col 3,row 4),how can i do ?
    In addition,i find if i want to insert numbers into a table in labview,it can only insert a array into it
    ,not a definite cell(such as col 3,row 4),i want to know whether this is character of labview,not like Vb

    Take a look at the image below
    For the table you need to replace an array element before updating the indicator. I demonstated using a shift register to remember the new value of the indicator after the update instead of using a Value property node or a local variable.
    Let me know if you have any further questions

  • Is it possible to insert data into a MySQL database with Java?

    Hello everyone!
    I would like to know, if it's possible to insert data into a MySQL database, with a JFrame inside a servlet?
    When the JFrame is first created it calls this method:
         * Connects the servlet with the MySQL database.
        private void connect(){
            try{
                Class.forName("com.mysql.jdbc.Driver");
                connection = DriverManager.getConnection(
                        "jdbc:mysql://localhost:3306/data", "root", "omfg123");
            }catch(ClassNotFoundException cnfe){
                cnfe.printStackTrace();
            }catch(SQLException sqle){
                sqle.printStackTrace();
        }Then, when you click the "Add" button, it executes this code:
                add.addActionListener(new ActionListener(){
                    @Override
                    public void actionPerformed(ActionEvent ae){
                        String employee = employeeName.getText();
                        String[] args = employee.split(" ");
                        firstName = args[0];
                        lastName = args[1];
                        execute();
                });And this is my "execute()" method:
         * Connects the servlet with the MySQL database.
         * - And executes the SQL queries.
        private void execute(){
            try{
                PreparedStatement statement = connection.prepareStatement("insert" +
                        " into employees values(" + firstName + ", " + lastName
                        + ")");
                ResultSet result = statement.executeQuery();
                String fullName = firstName + " " + lastName;
                printer.write("Employee " + fullName + " added.</br>");
            }catch(SQLException sqle){
                sqle.printStackTrace();
        }But when I click the "Add" button, nothing happens.

    This is what I use to insert into mysql. It works on windows.
    try {
                Class.forName("com.mysql.jdbc.Driver");
                String connectionUrl = "jdbc:mysql://" + loadip + "/custsig?" +
                        "user=root&password=";
                Connection con = DriverManager.getConnection(connectionUrl);
                newproc = jTextField1.getText();
                newsoft = jTextField2.getText();
                newdeb = jTextField3.getText();
                newcust = jTextField4.getText();
                if (newcust.equals("")) {
                    errorsig12 = 1;
                    jLabel1.setForeground(new java.awt.Color(255, 0, 0));
                } else if (newsoft.equals("")) {
                    errorsig12 = 1;
                    jLabel2.setForeground(new java.awt.Color(0, 0, 0));
                } else if (newproc.equals("")) {
                    errorsig12 = 1;
                    jLabel3.setForeground(new java.awt.Color(0, 0, 0));
                } else if (newdeb.equals("")) {
                    errorsig12 = 1;
                    jLabel4.setForeground(new java.awt.Color(0, 0, 0));
                if (errorsig12 == 0) {
                    PreparedStatement ps = con.prepareStatement("insert into customer set cust_name = ?,  software = ?, processor = ?, debit = ?");
                    ps.setString(4, newdeb);
                    ps.setString(3, newproc);
                    ps.setString(2, newsoft);
                    ps.setString(1, newcust);
                    int rs = ps.executeUpdate();
            } catch (SQLException eg) {
                System.out.println("SQL Exception: " + eg.toString());
            } catch (ClassNotFoundException cE) {
                System.out.println("Class Not Found Exception: " + cE.toString());
            }

    although it is possible to insert podcasts into a playlist on the Mac, these are not in the playlist on the iPod after SYNC

    Sambino,
    You should be fine. Just make sure that you download and install the P2 drivers for your PB. Also, if possible transfer directly to your external. P2 cards can eat up a lot of space very quickly and you don't want to overburden your system drive.

  • Inserting Script code into HTML - possibly using snippets?

    I am using Robohelp 7 and I need to insert some tracking script code into the HTML.
    The location needs to be right before the body close code.
    I have multiple pages and would love to use a snippet so that it would be easy to update as necessary.
    When I create the snippet code and drop it on the design page, it shows the code.
    I cannot get it to drop into the HTML.  Any suggestions?
    If it can't be done with snippets, is there a way to mass import code into the HTML of ALL pages?  I'm talking hundreds of pages.

    Hi there
    I doubt you will want to use snippets for this. Why? Well, if you use Snippets, you will need to edit all your pages so they include the snippet!
    So here's how I might approach it.
    Open the Project Set-up pod. Create a Topic Template. Inside the Template, add a Footer. Insert the script into the footer. Save the template and apply it to all your topics. You do this by selecting all topics in the Topic List pod, right-clicking them and choosing the Template. Whoosh! The template is associated and all topics now have a footer (with the script inside).
    Hopefully this helps... Rick

  • How to insert column values into database as rows

    Hi,
    I have 8 columns and some not null columns. Based on not null columns I want to insert into table as rows. The 8 columns may contain values or no value. If the first column contains data, then I have to insert into one row. if the second column contains data I have to insert a row and in second column. respectively...So How can I insert column values into rows. Can I write 8 insert statements. (OR) is it possible to insert data from columns using where clause.
    Please help me out....
    Thanks in Advance

    Lines Table:
    line_id, orcl_bank_account_num, product_type, service_type, lease_type,

    I have one more table:
    PRDCT_INS_AMT               NUMBER(14,4)
    ACTIVATION_FEE_AMT          NUMBER(14,4)
    I want to insert prdct_bill_amt_yr (1 to 8) columns data into PRDCT_INS_AMT column. similarly activation_fee (1 to 8) columns data.
    But the data should be inserted based product_type, service_type, lease_type columns values. (These 3 columns may contain upto 45 combinations).

  • How can I use multiple row insert or update into DB in JSP?

    Hi all,
    pls help for my question.
    "How can I use multiple rows insert or update into DB in JSP?"
    I mean I will insert or update the multiple records like grid component. All the data I enter will go into the DB.
    With thanks,

    That isn't true. Different SQL databases have
    different capabilities and use different syntax, That's true - every database has its own quirks and extensions. No disagreement there. But they all follow ANSI SQL for CRUD operations. Since the OP said they wanted to do INSERTs and UPDATEs in batches, I assumed that ANSI SQL was sufficient.
    I'd argue that it's best to use ANSI SQL as much as possible, especially if you want your JDBC code to be portable between databases.
    and there are also a lot of different ways of talking to
    SQL databases that are possible in JSP, from using
    plain old java.sql.* in scriptlets to using the
    jstlsql taglib. I've done maintenance on both, and
    they are as different as night and day.Right, because you don't maintain JSP and Java classes the same way. No news there. Both java.sql and JSTL sql taglib are both based on SQL and JDBC. Same difference, except that one uses tags and the other doesn't. Both are Java JDBC code in the end.
    Well, sure. As long as you only want to update rows
    with the same value in column 2. I had the impression
    he wanted to update a whole table. If he only meant
    update all rows with the same value in a given column
    with the same value, that's trivial. All updates do
    that. But as far as I know there's know way to update
    more than one row where the values are different.I used this as an example to demonstrate that it's possible to UPDATE more than one row at a time. If I have 1,000 rows, and each one is a separate UPDATE statement that's unique from all the others, I guess I'd have to write 1,000 UPDATE statements. It's possible to have them all either succeed or fail as a single unit of work. I'm pointing out transaction, because they weren't coming up in the discussion.
    Unless you're using MySQL, for instance. I only have
    experience with MySQL and M$ SQL Server, so I don't
    know what PostgreSQL, Oracle, Sybase, DB2 and all the
    rest are capable of, but I know for sure that MySQL
    can insert multiple rows while SQL Server can't (or at
    least I've never seen the syntax for doing it if it
    does).Right, but this syntax seems to be specific to MySQL The moment you use it, you're locked into MySQL. There are other ways to accomplish the same thing with ANSI SQL.
    Don't assume that all SQL databases are the same.
    They're not, and it can really screw you up badly if
    you assume you can deploy a project you've developed
    with one database in an environment where you have to
    use a different one. Even different versions of the
    same database can have huge differences. I recommend
    you get a copy of the O'Reilly book, SQL in a
    Nutshell. It covers the most common DBMSes and does a
    good job of pointing out the differences.Yes, I understand that.
    It's funny that you're telling me not to assume that all SQL databases are the same. You're the one who's proposing that the OP use a MySQL-specific extension.
    I haven't looked at the MySQL docs to find out how the syntax you're suggesting works. What if one value set INSERT succeeds and the next one fails? Does MySQL roll back the successful INSERT? Is the unit of work under the JDBC driver's control with autoCommit?
    The OP is free to follow your suggestion. I'm pointing out that there are transactions for units of work and ANSI SQL ways to accomplish the same thing.
