Is it possible to install a 8 GB of RAM memory to a late 2008 aluminium macbook?

Apple's stated maximum is not always the maximum the hardware will support. If the 4GB modules were too expensive when this MacBook was manufactured, then there would be no point in offering 8GB as an option.
I'm sure there are other explanations also, but all that really matters is that the maximum amount of memory your machine can handle is 8GB.

    Welcome to Apple Support Communities
You can install the new hard disk yourself if you want to. You just need a 2'5" SATA II hard drive, which is compatible with your MacBook Pro. You can buy one at OWC > http://eshop.macsales.com/shop/hard-drives/2.5-Notebook/ You can filter hard drives by computer, so press a "Click to view all...", choose your computer in the sidebar and it will give you the compatible hard drives.
There are different brands for the MacBook Pro. The most recommended are HGST and Seagate, which have good reputation. A 7200 rpm hard drive will give you extra performance

How do I install Mavericks onto a new SSD HD in my late 2008 Macbook Pro, and then I  hopefully can reinstall my data from my Time Machine backup?
I presume the SSD will need some type of formatting, before I can install Mavericks from the internet? Then can I use my Time Machine backup to reinstall all my other software and settings?

In order to load Mavericks the SSD will have to be formatted Mac OS Extended with GUID partition mapping

  • Black Screen on install of Windows 7 32 or 64bit on MBP Late 2008

I have an issue installing Windows 7 32/64bit on my late 2008 MBP from a fresh Lion 10.7.1 install. Boot Camp creates a partition just fine, recognizes the Windows install disc and restarts bongs grey screen then only displays a black screen. No cursor, nothing... but if I hit esc twice the machine restarts. I have tried removing and re-creating the partition, resetting pram and repair permissions.
Any suggestions? Is this a widespread issue?
    Thanks in advance.
Processor  2.53 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo
    Memory  4 GB 1067 MHz DDR3
Graphics  NVIDIA GeForce 9400M 256 MB
    Software  Mac OS X Lion 10.7.1 (11B26)

I am having the exact same problem. I have late 2009 MBP with Lion 10.7.1. My harddrive has a partition and everything has been smooth. When I start the installation process, the "mac sound" starts and the screen is grey. It then turns to a black screen with an underscore in the top-left corner, then just remains blank.

  • I am trying to install an new hard drive into my 15-inch, late 2008 MacBook Pro

I put a new 750Gb Seagate drive in and booted with the Snow Leopard install disk. I held the "C" key down and the disk began to load. An icon of a folder with a question mark flashed. The install process stalled there and I could do no more. I checked the install disk by booting when the original hard drive was in, and it loaded fine.

There's another way you could do this, but it requires an external enclosure or dock to plug the new drive into.
You can get USB enclosures for not much money, maybe 15USD.
You connect the new drive via to the MacBook Pro using the enclosure/dock, and then use Disk Utility's restore function to clone your existing drive to the new drive.
Typically, I also repartition the new drive (rather than just format it), and make sure that it is GUID partition map (using the Options.. button), and Mac OS Extendend (Journaled), BEFORE I restore.
This has two advantages: you end up with a perfect clone of your original system, and you can test the drive before you install it.
You can boot from the drive while it is still in the external enclosure (USB or firewire, and on newer Macs ThunderBolt) and check it works.
It is also possible that your MacBook does not like the drive. This is a fairly rare occurance, but has happened to me on a few occasions. It can be things like power draw and SATA compatibility. You can see symptoms where the computer locks up. I have not seen this happen specifically on a MacBook Pro 2008 or with a 750GB Seagate drive.
If you don't want to go down the external enclosure route, I'd suggest holding down the option key to get to the early boot menu, and selecting the DVD from there. And wait. Booting from DVD can take a little while longer.

I have a MacBook 13 inch (Late 2008) with OS X 10.6.8 installed and every time I try to install Yosemite it tells me it cannot be updated on my MacBook. Why?

Because the minimum requirement, as stated it the Yosemite specs, is for a Late 2008 Aluminum MacBook.
MacBook – Late 2008 Aluminum, or Early 2009
    MacBook Air – Late 2008
    MacBook Pro – Mid/late 2007
    Mac mini – Early 2009
    iMac – Mid 2007
    Mac Pro – Early 2008
    Xserve – Early 2009

  • Is it possible to install previous TRIAL versions of previous versions of Adobe Creative Cloud Software?

Look, I'm just testing the trial versions right now.  Don't try to troubleshoot something that I don't ask; this is what I'm looking to accomplish:
Is it possible to install a trial version of any of the Adobe Creative Cloud software in a previous version?  By that, I am referring to the following:
I want to install a trial version of Adobe Premiere Pro CC 2014; NOT Adobe Premiere Pro CC 2014.1.  If you notice, I want to reinstall a trial version of the previous release.  Don't ask why, you'll just laugh for my stupid reason, but I'm merely wondering if it is possible.  Creative Cloud now only offers trials of the newest versions, and I want to install trails of previous versions for my own, personal reasons.  Is this possible to do with creative cloud, or must I do it some other way?
Is it also possible to obtain the physical installation files so that I won't have to always go through creative cloud to download them again (and then I can just set it up without being connected to the internet)?

By subscribing to Creative Cloud(Photoshop and Lightroom), does it come with more than one license, and if it does, is it possible to install on both Windows and Apple's OX? Thanks.

A Cloud subscription provides for installing working installations on two machines.  You can have mixed operating systems (both Windows and Apple's OX).
