Is it possible to install a different music player on the iPod

I wonder if the music player on the iPod can be replaced?
I am an cyckling instructor and use the iPod to play music in my classes.
I would very much like to have the following possibilites -in landscape mode- without having to touch the iPod (all information in the same view):
-name of the song
-how long is a song in minutes and seconds
-how much has been played of the song in minutes and seconds
-how much is left of the song in minutes and seconds
-what is the name of the next song in the playlist
-larger letters and numbers. difficult to see when I'm sitting on the bike with the iPod one metres from me. (Cyckling in the gym).
Can this be done?
Can one suggest Apple to do a thing like this or can a player be developed by independent developers?
Regards Julenissen

correct me if i'm wrong but cant you get that information in portrait mode, by tapping the screen?
there is no way to make the text bigger though.
but if you want a different music player, buy a different music player. i can't see apple wanting to allow 'different' players on their products. they may consider different feature requests though.

Is it possible to set a default music player for the music on my external while still keeping my iTunes the default player on my Mac ?

There is no setting in the iPhone to set another default music player. The default is Music. If you are using another application, you are at the mercy of how that application operates as far as what occurs when it stops or errors out. The car is looking for music to play.

  • When I try to sync music from iTunes playlist to my Ipod shuffle it says the iPod is synced to a different liabrary.  It asks if I want to delete the music already on the Ipod and sync it to "this" library.  I don't want to lose the music already on Ipod.

Please help.  I have no idea why this is happening and I'm kinda new to using iTunes.  I'm trying to sync music from a playlist on my iTunes account onto my iPod Shuffle (older Shuffle).  I use Windows XP on my laptop.  When I try moving the songs to the iPod it says the iPod is synced to another library.  I didn't know I had another library (but I guess it is possible because I used iTunes a few years ago too).
The only option I get is to delete the music already on the iPod and sync the iPod to "this" library.  I really don't want to lose the music already on the iPod.  PLEASE HELP.  I'm tech challenged to say the least.

  • Is it possible to have multiple different texts conversations with the same two people?

In iOS 8.1.3 is it possible to have multiple different text conversations with the same person? I'm looking for a way to set an old conversation aside to talk about something new.
    Is this possible?

speculation is agaisnt the ToS here, but you never know (I was shocked when we got 8 track recording in GB2)
best thing to do is to send Apple some Feedback and let them know what features you want (they really do read what's sent):

Can I install two different iPhoto applications on the same Mac?

Please explain in more detail what you are wanting to do.
Do you want to have two different versions of iPhoto, have two different Libraries or Share iPhoto with multiple users?
Two different iPhoto versions (06 and 08, 08 and 09 for examples) is a problem and I say no because the older version can not use a Library that the newer version has modified.

is it possible to transfer my whole music library from my ipod classic to a new computer?

    Hello there Alex-B,
It sounds like you have your music on your iPod classic and want to get it onto your new computers iTunes library. You can use this article to transfer your iTunes Store Purchases:
Re-download or transfer your iTunes Store purchases from an iPhone, iPad or iPod to a computer
For non purchased content, or content from other sources please note this:
This feature works only for content bought from the iTunes Store. Any items that you imported from audio CDs or received from other sources won't copy from your device to the iTunes library. However, all podcasts from your device's Podcasts app and copies of all PDFs and books from your device's iBooks app will transfer to the computer. Learn how to transfer media to your iTunes library.

  • HT1386 I updated my daughters iPod Touch and now the music states is it now stored on iCloud and can be accessed on WiFi or cellular.  There is no music stored on the iPod and she listens to it outside of the home without WiFi.  I will not let me sync.

I updated my daughter iPod touch.   Now the music states that it is on iCloud and can be accessed using WiFi or cellular.   I need to move the music back on the iPod so that she can listen to it without WiFi.   I tried to Restore backup but still does not work.   I tried to sync, still does not work.

Is the music in your iTunes library?
    Why can't you sync?
You said "Now the music states that it is on iCloud and can be accessed using WiFi or cellular."
    where does it state that?
Just redownload them from iCloud to the computer and the iPod by:
Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store

  • Is it possible to set a default media player for the iPhone?

I have a music subscription with another company, therefore all my music is played through their app. When I plug my phone into my car to play music, it always opens iTunes and alerts me there is no music there so I have to open the app and select the music. Which is fine, but when the app stops (for whatever reason), the iTunes (which I'm not sure why they don't call iMusic or something equally silly) tries to play any music I have in iTunes. Is there any way to stop this madness? Thanks!

  • Music Player on the N81

Is there a way to stop or cancel the autostart for the the Music Player on the N81? For the most part I do not use it often and to have it running taking CPU cycles as well as RAM is a waste in my opinion.
I looked in the manual but maybe I missed something.
    Thanks in advance.

Are you sure. As you know, any device even in idle uses CPU cycles and RAM. I was just wondering how much. Before I upgraded my phone I had about 10 megs free, now after the upgrade, I have about 7.5 free. Some went somewhere. Anyway, I do like this phone better than my iPhone. My unlocked iPhone just sits in its cradle waiting for me to watch a vid or something. I think the new Nokia media phones will give Apple something to think about.

Hello everyone my iPhone 5s sounds stop working.i did not do anything it just stop working when I tried to turn on my music player all the sounds is not working I already check the volume and it is not also muted :( what happened can anyone solve my problem please

    Hey Kirby17,
Thanks for using Apple Support Communities.
If you are not getting any sound from the speaker, follow this article.
iPhone: No sound or distorted sound from speaker
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ts5180
Ensure that there is nothing plugged in to the headset jack or the dock connector.
If the iPhone is in a protective case, make sure that the speaker port isn't blocked by the case.
Make sure that the speaker and dock port aren't clogged with debris. If necessary, clean it with a clean, small, dry, soft-bristled brush. Carefully and gently brush away any debris.
If an audio issue occurs when using a specific application, try testing other applications to see if the issue persists.
If the iPhone is paired with a Bluetooth headset or car kit:
    Try turning off Bluetooth.
If you experience difficulties with the Bluetooth feature, follow these troubleshooting steps.
    Restart the iPhone.
If restarting doesn't fix the issue, ensure that your iPhone is updated to the latest version of iOS.
If the issue is not resolved, please contact Apple Support.
    Have a nice day,
    Mario
