Is it possible to install a GRAPHICS CARD on a C340 All in one Desktop machine?

Hi,
Can anyone please tell me if it is possible to install a graphics card on my machine? If it is, please tell me the procedure to so so.
My machine is a lenovo Ideacenter C340 All in one Desktop.

I'm afraid that this is not possible, The system's Mainboard is much of a Laptop design where Upgrade is very limited.

Hey guys, I was wondering if it is possible to install a graphics card in my HP all-in-one MS200 desktop. I've been playing DayZ, and my FPS is terribly low. Looking around, I've noticed that most people say the problem is that you have a weak graphics card.
Is it possible to do this? If so, what graphics card would you recommend I buy? (I'm looking for a moderate boost in preformance. I don't really need a beast of an upgrade, or anything like that).

The simple answer would be "not possible". Limited models support MMX cards, and these are low wattage.

3:56PM- No, the bios still won't let me make the change. It seems to let me disable the secure boot, but when I try to enable legacy boot, the option is locked out... what now?
12/1/2014: I installed AOMEI Backupper, works great despite the name, and it's free. Problem solved.
UPDATE: 12/22/2014 AOMEI actually does NOT work that well, and I discovered that to boot from cd/dvd, press 'esc' and then 'f9' to select the dvd drive, even if you do not change the settings in bios. If you do change the bios settings, you must first disable secure boot, the save changes and exit the bios, and enter a code given by the bios to finalize the change.
Also, windows 8.1 has an option to boot a UEFI-approved dvd/usb drive, in 'settings/change pc settings/backup & recovery', you can select an option to boot using a device.

Hey folks I've had my pc for awhile now. According to the datasheet it saids that a graphics card can be upgraded but the power supply may need to also be upgraded check with the company of the graphics card. So i tried email hp but no answer on the question. Im thinking of trying to get either a ati radion 4270 512 mb card or nvida if its allowed. Mostly from online search through google many folks say its upgradeable but when gaming it acts more like a laptop their for performance is horrible. Is this true? I've tried to install games on my laptop that has a radion hd 4250 graphics card but gaming just doesnt add up the same as a desktop. So if anybody has some opinions or tips that could help me in area would gladly appreciate it.

The graphics in the IQ5xx series can not be upgraded in the way you're thinking, the Touchsmart line does indeed resemble a laptop more than a desktop.
In general the opinion is that it is not worth persuing a graphics update for these products.

Hi,
No, you can't upgrade the graphics chip as it's a shared Intel graphics. You couldn't also upgrade a dedicated graphics like nVidia or ATI ones as it is soldered to the motherboard. The only way how to upgrade a graphics chip on a laptop like this is to replace the motherboard by a compatible one with a more powerful chip on it.

I have got a Toshiba Satellite M70-394 (psm70e). I have seen that I have a pcie slot in my system through a hardware identifier program. Is it possible that I can install a graphics card through the back if I unscrew the back or get a professional to do it?

The express card slot is designed for express cards. Its similar to PCMCIA cards.
You will not find a graphic card that is designed for the express card slot. For these slot you can buy USB extension cards for example.
Check your user manual!!!

Satellite L350-159 - Can I install a graphics card?

Hello everyone, I got a friend to check what graphics card I had the other day, as I play games and noticed that the graphics weren't fantastic. He checked it out and then told me I actually haven't got a proper graphics card!
I'd love to remedy this, but is there any way to get into the laptop to install a graphics card? and if so, what kind of graphics card would you recommend? some are rather big, and i'm not sure they could fit. I noticed some panels on the bottom of my laptop that can be screwed off - do one of those lead to a place to put a graphics card?

The graphic card cant be exchanged because its soldered on the mainboard. So thats not possible to exchange it.

As Akuma said the point is that the Satellite L series is not designed for gaming. I have a Satellite L300 and a Qosmio X300. The Satellite L is really great for my work, picture editing, E-Mails and office. The X300 is really perfect for games Its fast enough for all games I have.

Sadly I don't think it will be possible to replace your Trident graphics card with another because it is an integrated design which is using shared RAM. In effect your graphics card has been specifically designed to fit in your notebook and finding a similarly designed card from another manufacturer would be virtually impossible.
Unlike desktop or tower PCs where the graphics card is a separate device which can just be unplugged and replaced, the graphics chip in your notebook is usually integrated into the design in order to save space.

Hi I was wondering if it is possible to upgrade the graphics card on a MacBook Pro and the RAM without voiding the warranty? I have a gt 650m in my MacBook Pro, non retina, and to me, its not enough power for me, so i was looking around, and I found a retailer that would give me a nvidia gtx 660m for a decent price. No, the video card cannot be exchanged - you have a pretty decent GPU there; not sure why you'd want to switch it out. You can upgrade the RAM to a maximum of 16GBs. Apple recommends upgrading in matching pairs, so I don't really think I'd try 4GB and 8GB stick.
Both Crucial and OWC have memory available for the new Macs. Both are reputable dealers and know Macs well and I would only buy from these sources (and I would buy Crucial, were it me).
Although your Mac didn't come with a users manual outlining the installation of the additional RAM, you can download the late 2011 model users guide as the models themselves are almost identical.

Is it possible to upgrade the graphics card in the HP ENVY 17-j053ea?

I'm considering buying the HP ENVY 17-j053ea for use as a portable workstation for applications such as Max Design, autocad and photoshop as a second system for when I need to be away from the office but still need the ability to work.
This machine seems to have a lot of bang per buck and is more in line with my budget than a full on portable workstation.
As far as upgrade options I presume I could max out the ram at 16GB and put in an SSD as the main OS and application drive and use the main 1TB drive as the mass storage unit.
What I'm wondering is if it possible to upgrade the graphics card in this machine?
I don't imagine I would be attempting such an upgrade myself but assuming I leave it into a professional is this possible.
My worry is that with some of my heavier model files I could feel the limitations of the mid range portable gfx card onboard. I could probably live with it if it is not an option but just putting feelers out.

That doesn't sound feasible so.
I can manage the other 2 upgrades within my budget but things seem to get quite expensive on the higher end platforms very quickly.
It's my first foray into the laptop/workstation arena so I'm not that familiar yet with clever upgrade strategies.
I did have the use of this model for a few days and It is a really nice overall laptop, both aesthetically and value wise.

There are many MANY threads on this, the answer is that it's not worth your time since you have to have a replacement card that the HP system BIOS already likes,, and this is not the same as replacing anything in a desktop, this is the equivalent of replacing the graphics in a laptop.
Since the graphics cards are not considered a user upgradable component there are no lists of "approved cards" nor guides to doing it, the closest you could do is the service or recycling disassembly sheets.
