Is it possible to install Bridge CS6 now I am on CC2014?

Hi there
Along with many people I miss the very useful thumbnail output feature from Bridge CS6 that allowed me to make a pdf showing thumbnails of all images  EVEN INSIDE SUBFOLDERS from a given folder.
The function seems to be broken in CC2014.
This was one of the key tools and uses I had for Bridge, would love to get it back!
Apparently CS6 is the last version of Bridge to allow this, and I have a new machine with new CC2014 installed on it, how on earth can I add this older version of Bridge to my setup? It doesnt show up in the 'previous versions' filter in theCC installer...

Matthew A you can install Bridge CS6 as part of Photoshop CS6, Illustrator CS6, or InDesign CS6.  It was not available as a separate installation until Bridge CC.  You can find details on how to install the previous version of these software titles at Install and update apps - https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/help/install-apps.html.
Please be aware that your file associations will likely become associated to whatever CS6 application you installed.  If you wish to use CC 2014 you will want to adjust your file associations.

  • Is it possible to install Photoshop CS6 on Mac OS X 10.9 Mavericks?

Hi, I want to buy Photoshop CS6 but I'm not sure if it's possible to install it on Mac OS X 10.9 (Mavericks).
    Can anyone help me?
    Thanks in advance,

Yes, I'm running both CS6 and CC here on Mavericks. No issues.

  • Bridge CS6 now 64 Bit

One of my favorite things about CS6 is finally bridge works, Once it builds it cache it is much faster than brifge in CS5.

In case anyone has missed it (certainly not you guys) I am having to exit CS5 Bridge from the hidden icons in the Task bar in order to reliably load CS6 Bridge. It would have been handy to have PS CS5 & CS6 open at the same time for easy comparison, but I can’t make that happen in Windows 7.

  • Is Bridge CS6 now 64 bit?

Bridge CS5 was 32 bit even if you had the 64 bit Photoshop.  Last year persons unnamed said it was unlikely that Bridge would be converted to 64 bit.  BUT --  --
I did not load the 32 bit version, and Bridge is loaded as 64 bit program.
So does this mean Bridge is a full 64 bit program now?  And if you open ACR from Bridge it will open in 64 bit version?
Have not seen any press on other Bridge changes.  Anyone have a link?
    Thanks

Yes, Bridge has been converted to 64 bits, hence we are not seeing changes, the conversion was the main engineering effort.

  • Web gallery upload problem - the server switched to FTPS and now Bridge CS6 won't recognize it.

I use Bridge CS6 on a Mac to create & upload web galleries directly to my website. My web server just changed and they no longer support FTP, only FTPS. When I try to upload a web gallery now, Bridge gives me the message that my username/password is incorrect. I have tested the server and can connect via Fetch so I know that it's possible to connect to the server. Is there anywhere in Bridge that allows you to change the FTP settings to allow it to recognize the FTPS? I cannot seem to find any information, I feel like there should be a simple fix and I'm probably overlooking it. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

I Have a Master collection license. Is there a possibility to install Bridge separately ? There is no option to install it separately during the install process :-/
Bridge is not a seperate program.  It is part of Photoshop.  That is why some users have to  launch Bridge the first time from PS to make it work.
Not familliar with the Suite, but if there are other applications where you can launch Bridge from the program try it.
Also, make sure you have uninstalled any Adobe trials that may cause a conflict with permissions.

  • Replace Bridge CS5 with Bridge CS6?

Hi All (my first post, whoop!),
Having been using Photoshop CS5 with Bridge CS5 happily for sometime, we've now purchased InDesign CS6 which has installed Bridge CS6.
Can I uninstall the now redundant Bridge CS5  without upsetting Photoshop?
I have searched this forum but couldn't find an answer (maybe I missed a thread somewhere).
    Thanks for your help,
    Matt
    p.s. We use Macs.

No, you cannot uninstall Bridge separately. It's simply not possible for technical reasons. Bridge CS6 can use PS CS5, though, and conversely, PS will happily use a newer version of Bridge without much ado, give or take a few specific cases. Check the file associations in Bridge and your system in general.

  • Bridge CS6 can't open image with Photoshop CS6

I installed Bridge CS6 and Photoshop CS6 with my Mac Pro with drive 1, which was cloned with drive 2 as a backup.
Now every time I try to open my RAW file in Bridge, it opens the file with the Photoshop with drive 2 instead of 1.
I have tried to eject the drive 2, but Bridge (with drive 1) fails to find the Photoshop in drive 1.
I have to force to open the Photoshop CS6 before Bridge in order to open the image, is there a way to sovle this problem?

This is a user to user Forum, so you are not really addressing Adobe here, even though some Adobe employees thankfully have been dropping by.

If you are actually interested in trouble-shooting please read this (in particular the section titled "Supply pertinent information for quicker answers"):

What have you done for trouble-shooting so far anyway? (Restoring Preferences after making sure all customized presets like Actions, Patterns, Brushes etc. have been saved might be a good starting point.)

  • Changes to using graphic settings in Bridge CS6 scripts

The "CS6 Tools Guide" document shows no changes in how graphical settings should be used for Foreground Colour, Background Colour, Fonts and Font Size, as well as the use of Images in panels.  All these work as before with scripts used in Photoshop CS6.  But with Bridge CS6 the use of an image will crash Bridge, whereas the settings for Colours and Fonts are just ignored.  Does Bridge CS6 now have customised settings for graphical changes to panels?  Or is this a bug?

I'd much rather have 32 bits that do what they ought to… sounds like CS6 has 48 that don't…

  • I have installed bridge 6. I have the icons and it shows in the directory, but will not open

I have installed bridge cs6 and it will not open. I have the icons and it shows in the directory.  I open CS6 CC ok but when I open bridge from CS6, it opens the older virsion CS5.

You have Bridge CS5 running in background.  Open CS5 and in adv. pref. uncheck "start bridge at login".  Either reboot or close background program.

  • Bridge CS6 starts Bridge CS4

Having installed Bridge CS6, when I try to run it, I get Bridge CS4. Help, and thanks!

You have Bridge CS4 running in the background.  In CS4 click edit/preferences/advanced and uncheck "load bridge on startup".
Then open Task Manager (assuming Win OS) and click on processes tab.  Look for bridge.exe and close program.

  • Error "Bridge CS6 was not found on this system. To use this command, please reinstall Bridge CS6"

    Hi all,
We are having issues with Adobe Bridge working properly with Photoshop.  When trying to access Bridge through Photoshop we receive the following error "Bridge CS6 was not found on this system.  To use this command, please reinstall Bridge CS6"
    - We have the Master Collection CS6 installed
    - Bridge CS6 is working fine as a stand-alone program
    - This is installed on Windows 7 x64
    - I am unable to find an uninstall location for Bridge CS6, it is not under control panel > Adobe Master Suite
    - All adobe products are up-to-date as of this morning.
    Any help would be appreciated.
    Thanks,

Does not make a difference is bridge is open or not.
Yes, we are accessing it through File/browse in bridge.
    OK, back to square 1.
Does Bridge work normally?  Does it load Bridge CS6 or does CS5 come up?  Only one version can run at same time.
If you double click on an image it opens in CS6?

  • Can I install Photoshop CS6 on a Microsoft Surface 2?

Is it possible to install Photoshop CS6 on my Microsoft Surface 2? I use this program at work (first time Photoshop user) so I would like to use the same thing at home or something similar since I am still learning. Thanks!

I think Adobe from there end does not support installation on Surface. But yes you can try the installation as in 90% cases it did Worked.

  • Have you had problems with Bridge CS6 after CR 8.4 installed?

Adobe Bridge CS6 running on Mac OS X 10.7.5 crashed several times while sorting images .  After installing Camera Raw 8.4, images in portrait orientation rotated to landscape and now the rotate image buttons and menuitems are unavailable for raw files including dng's.  Camera Raw preferences will not open from Bridge.  What is the best approach for uninstalling/reinstalling Bridge and CR updates?  Should I reinstall Photoshop as well?

I do recommend that anyone who is having weird issues with iTunes try Dave's suggestion of UNINSTALLING Flip4Mac and see what happens (but will an uninstall get rid of this particular file? who knows).
Good point, and something I should not have trusted without confirming. I just tried it and the uninstaller does not remove that framework. That's a serious "oops" on the part of Telestream (and I did confirm that the Flip4Mac installer does install that framework). The framework folder will need to be removed manually.
