Is it possible to install GB2 when you already have GB3 running?

Does anyone know if it is possible to have both versions of GB running on a single computer... if not, is it possible to downgrade to version 2 from version 3.

If you rename the GB app, you might be able to install GB2, but I can't say for certain what the GB2 installer will do, I don't know if it will complain).
(I have all versions from 1.1 to 3.0.2) on my machine, but I never tried to install an older version, it was always a case of installing the newer version while keeping the older one)

Video conferencing if you already have VoIP running

Hi, imagine on a large organization you already have a voip system up and running.
Then you decide to deploy a video conferencing system.
In general, how much configuration do you expect to perform in order to deploy the video over IP successfully? Should I expect to do mainly client configuration in order to watch the video conferencing, or that is going to require router/switch configuration as well to accomodate the video traffic?

It depends on the type and volume of video conferencing you're talking about. If you're referring to point to point conferencing using VT advantage, the configuration will be minimal. If you're referring to multipoint conferencing using a conference controller(s), the configuration becomes more complex. With any video, it's necessary to configure QoS throughout the network. This will certainly involve router/switch configuration in order to classify, mark, and honor the markings of video traffic.

I have NW2004s portal serving ESS content from an ECC backend.
I just intstalled a BW NW2004s system. The BW people want to use BEX web queries. What is the best way to provide this content?
Also If I wanted to use JUST ONE PORTAL, but still get the newest BW WEB functionality, how can this be done?

Just install the BI-Java stuff with JSPM.
Be careful of the potential load in your Production Portal.
Go to SAP Marketplace and just select the components you don't already have in the BI-Java area of NW2004s.
Of course you will need to configure the connectivity and SSO (2 ways) between your Portal and BI.
Use the NWA after you deploy the BI-Java components as it is the simplest way to acheive the config. Some steps might not work automatically but at least you will know what to do (http://portal.xyz.com:50000/nwa - Then use the last tab).

DI API - Retrieve specific message object when you already have the code?

The MessagesService object lets you retrieve a message using the message header. It also lets you retrieve a list of message headers from the inbox or sent mail.
Unfortunately, I don't see any way to create a single message header if I already know the code. The MessageHeaders collection has an Add method for a single MessageHeader but there does not appear to be a public constructor for the MessageHeader object.
Trying to create a new message header like
oMsgHeader = new MessageHeader();
or
oMsgHeader = new MessageHeaderClass();
both compile but cause a COM exception when actually executed.
So, other than retrieving all of the message headers and finding the message I want is there any way to retrieve a specific message when the key (Code) is known?

My previous reply is not accurate. The MessageHeader can initialized by Inbox our Outbox but can not to initialize a single message header individually by now.
So the code will as follows

Everyone is saying how 'dumbed down' the new versions of Keynote, Numbers and Pages are...is there a way to test out the new programs without overriding the '09 versions? If I open up the App Store it just says I need to update and I fear this will wipe out iWork '09 completely but I read somewhere it was possible to have both...?

When you download the new iWork IOS versions, the previous versions of iWork applications go into a folder in you Applications Folder called, "iWork '09". To keep using the old versions with your old files, first start the old applications and then open the file from within the program. If you double-click your old files they will be opened (and converted) to work with the new applications....and won't be open-able by your old applications afterward.

Honestly why does adobe make it so difficult to work with them. My company needs digital signatures and i'd never use adobe. Adobe support is the worst in the IT industry imo and apparently their software developers cant determine that Pro is and UPGRADE from standard.
if anyone understands a work around i'd be interested in hearing but i can't say i've ever had an efficient experience with adobe and i wish i could find an alternative for adobe acrobat pro.

First you are attempting to install Acrobat Pro XI over Acrobat Standard XI and it's throwing an error that you have a more capable product. While not the most elegant or even correct message IMHO what it means is that you can't install the same version of Pro over Standard. If they were different versions (ie. Acrobat Pro XI over Acrobat Standard X ) then it would work.   There are good reasons for this installation error, but let us try to get you to the place where you can actually get the work that you need to get done accomplished.
You can use a virtual machine like VMWare, VirtualPC, Parallels, or Oracle VirtualBox to host another Windows instance and load Adobe Acrobat Pro on that vm. These are really the best way to keep things on the same machine and have both as separate usable installations. In all cases, you provide the Windows installation media. The price of the VM software varies from free to some reasonable prices.   Your choice though.

Unless you have an Internet connection you cannot access iCloud. You can download your music from iCloud to store permanently on your iPhone, but only when you have an Internet connection to do so.

I was astounded, to say the least, that something as basic as playing a Utube video doesn't work on the iPad out of the box. I tried it on my iPad3 and it didn't even give me an error message. The iPad just didn't do anything.
Sure it does with a YouTube app included.

Firefox does not recognize that I already have add-ons installed (prompts to install add-ons I already have installed AND turned on). Why?

Add-ons, which are updated and already installed and running (and have been for some time), seem to think they are not added. When looking at my add-ons in the Tools menu, they are listed as enabled. However, clicking to go to their information page on the web (where you can read reviews, and where you originally chose to add them to Firefox), the "add to firefox" button is available. (As opposed to some sort of "already installed" or "uninstall" or "reinstall" button) I tested the button to see if pressing it would THEN tell me "you already have this", but it didn't! It started downloading the plug-in I already have! What is going on?

hello Amsuko, the "+ Add to Firefox" button on addons.mozilla.org and similar sites is just a normal static element on the website. websites don't have the possibility to query which extensions a user has already installed (this would probably be seen as a privacy/security breach). in case you install an addon that is already present on your system, it will simply get replaced...
