Is it possible to install Win7 64-bit on Satego P100-490?

Hi,
I wonder if its possible to install that version on my notebook?
There are no drivers to download on the toshiba page, so I'd like to ask if anyone has any suggestions for me.

Hi
Yes, this is possible.
Satego P100 series is very similar to Satellite P100 series and if you need Win 7 drivers I recommend checking also the drivers released for Satellite P100.
Note; Satellite P100 is a little bit older notebook series and the drivers can be found in Archive. In download form -> Product type choose Archive and then point to the P100 series.

  • HP 2000 - 2c12NR: Removed Win8, Installed Win7 64-bit; Touchpad Problems

    Greetings HP forums!
My name is Bob and I am having an issue with an HP 2000 laptop.  A friend requested I remove Windows 8 from a laptop, and install Windows 7 since he was much more familiar with the old GUI.
I installed Win7 64-bit and am having issues with the touchpad consistently working correctly.  I have let Windows use its generic drivers, and have installed the Win8 Synaptics touch pad driver/utility.  Both drivers produce the same problematic results.  The strange issues I am having are as follows:
    - Touchpad works fine for 5-30 minutes
    - Touchpad becomes inoperable for varying amounts of time; 1-5 minutes
    - Touchpad starts working again, but requires higher than normal pressure to work OR only works on the RIGHT side of the touchpad
    - Touchpad stops working again, and then after swirling/twirling my finger around the touchpad it will start moving itself without any further input to the Touchpad at all.  Everytime it starts moving on its own, it exhibits the same behavior.  It moves only vertically, in  a perfectly straight line, roughly 2/3 the heighth of the screen, and is very choppy skipping up and down; This lasts for 10-30 seconds.
    - After it's done 'ghosting' the cursor up and down, the Touchpad is usable again, but is very finnicky.  It requires excessive pressure or response is very laggy/inaccurate to the touch you are inputting.
    - Typically after a reboot it works perfectly fine for a short amount of time, and then starts acting as I have described above.
I have tried altering any and all of the settings in the Synaptics driver utility to no avail.  I have uninstalled/reinstalled, enabled/disabled the hardware/drivers numerous times.  Each time either drivers are removed and installed it will work fine for a short amount of time and then go back to acting crazy.
I thought the ribbon cable may have been loose, so I opened the laptop up far enough to check the ribbon cable for the Touchpad.  All was well, everything was snug.
At this point I am thinking there is an issue with the Touchpad itself.  While I am waiting for a reply I am going to try reinstalling Win7 since I have exhausted all other ideas I have.
Any and all information is greatly appreciated.
    Thank You,
    Bob Melchert

    *EDIT*
I just started the process to re-install Windows.  Once files were finished loading and the initial install screen had loaded, (where you select Language, Time/Currency Format, and Keyboard input method) the Touchpad immediately started moving vertically on itss own.  Once it stopped moving on its own, I am only able to move the cursor vertically in the spot where it was moving itself; Any input to the Touchpad only allows vertical movement.  This is the first time I have encountered this issue.  Since this is happening with Windows loaded into RAM, I am becoming more certain this is a hardware issue.

    Hello disgrntld,
    Welcome to the HP Forums!
I understand there is no audio coming from the computer. Before anything else, I would suggest a manual uninstall and reinstall of the sound driver:
    1. Go into Device Manager, then "Sound, video and game controllers".
    2. Look for the Audio driver. Right-click on it and select "Uninstall". Do not restart the computer.
    3. Restart the computer. It will force the computer to detect the hardware and install an appropriate driver.
Please let me know your results. Thanks!

  • Win 7 x64 - possible to install CS4 64-bit only?

Is it possible to install only the 64-bit version of CS4 on Win7 64-bit ?
I do not really need to keep both versions (I do not use many plugins).
    Thank you

The general advice is to install both 32- and 64-bit version but there is a read-me on the installation disk which tells you how install CS4 64-bit only.
    Quote:
If you want to install ONLY the 64-bit application follow these steps:
    1. Run the Photoshop CS4 installer.
    2. Enter your serial number. Click Accept.
    3. On the right side of the Options panel under the 64-bit heading, uncheck the box for Adobe Photoshop CS4 (leave the “Adobe Photoshop CS4 (64-bit)” option checked).
    4. Finish installation.

  • Problem installing Win7 64 bit on early 2008 iMac 2.66 GHz

I have read posts elsewhere that, contrary to what Apple says, it is possible to install 64 bit Windows 7 on an early 2008 iMac 8,1. The problem I'm having is that I can't get the iMac to boot from the 64 bit Windows 7 install disc. The error I'm getting is "Bootmgr is missing". I can view files on the disc just fine when I'm in OS X, so I know the bootmgr file is on the disc. But it refuses to boot from it. I know this hardware can support 64 bit cause I can boot OS X 10.6.2 into 64 bit mode.
Anyone else run in to this? Thx for any help.

Thanks Hatter. That did the trick. Actually, the link you sent me lead me to this site:
    http://blog.andersonshatch.com/2009/01/11/windows-7-x64-on-a-macbook-pro-guide/
    That site links to this:

and that's what I used to create a DVD that was bootable by my early 2008 iMac.

  • HT5639 Can I install Win7 32-bit from a bootable USB-Stick on iMac using Boot Camp?

I would like to run Win7 32-bit on my iMac 8,1.
    I have a bootable USB-Stick to install Win7.
Does Boot Camp support the installation from USB-Stick?
    Thanks

    Welcome to Apple Support Communities
You can only install Windows from a USB drive in one of these Macs:
    - MacBook Pro with Retina display.
    - MacBook Air.
    - Mac mini (Mid 2010 and newer).
    - iMac (Late 2012).
As you don't have any of those Macs, you have to install Windows through a DVD. Also, the only iMac that can install Windows using a USB drive only supports a 64-bit Windows 7 and 8 version with Boot Camp

  • Is it Possible to install ODDC 32 bit on Windows Server 2008 R2(64bit)?

    Hi All,
Is it Support to Install ODDC 32 bit on Windows Server 2008 R2(64 bit).
I am Posting this bcoz I did not found any ODDC related Blogs.
    Please help on this
    Thanks,
    Raj

The certification matrix ( http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/middleware/webcenter/content/odc-cert-matrix-214688.pdf ) does not mention OS for ODDC Server, but as ODC is certified for Win Server 2008, R2, 32 or 64 bit, I believe the answer is yes.
Make sure, however, that you ODDC clients run on a different OS (see Exceptions).

  • Need advice for installing win7 64 bit via oem dvd builders disk.

My current system = late 2009 iMac. I am wanting to install Win7 Pro in Boot Camp. I have been told that by using the lesser cost system builders disk there should be know significant glitches providing for the downloads of system files to fat 32 USB stick.
Question #1 How large should the boot camp partitions be for the install?
Question#2 How large shoud the USB stick be? Can a directly connected firewire drive be used instead?
Question#3 Any other advice will be greatly appreciated with regards to this software install.
Question#4 Is it true that I will need a wired mouse for the install? and will a apple wirless mouse work with win7 in boot camp?
    Thanks!

    1. 60GB or greater
    2. 2GB or greater
    3. Read the directions thoroughly and backup before you start.
    4. You should have a wired mouse and keyboard available, just in case.
4b An Apple Bluetooth Mouse (Magic Mouse) will work with Windows once Windows is installed completely.

Here's the link to the BootCamp support page listing which Macs can run 64-Bit versions of Windows 7: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1846 I don't see your Mac listed, indicating you can only run Windows 7 32-Bit.

  • Is it possible to Install the 64-bit Microsoft Access Database Engine 2010 if we are running Microsoft Office 2010 32-bit?

So we are running Microsoft Office Professional Plus 2010, Version 14.0.7015.1000
    (32-bit)
This is what is installed via our Network and Network licensing.
I am trying, in vain, to read and write a .xlsx file via a C# Edit Script in a SSIS Package. And I have tried using...
    string StringConnection = "Provider=Microsoft.ACE.OLEDB.12.0;Data Source=" + sourceFile + ";Extended Properties=\"Excel 12.0;HDR=Yes;IMEX=1\"";
And this tells me that this has not been installed. So when I go and try and get the Microsoft Access Database Engine 2010 64-bit, which would allow me to use Microsoft.ACE.OLEDB.12.0 and allow me to read, write, and process this .xlsx file, it tells me
I cannot install it because I already have 32-bit installed and it wants me to un-install Microsoft Office 2010. Why? Because it is 32-bit? And I can't do that because this is what we have and what we're licensed for and from what I've read seems to be the
industry standard because most software vendors are ill equipped to process 64-bit right now.
So my question is this...How can I use a C# Edit Script to read and process a .xlsx file? Because if I try using...
    string StringConnection = "Provider=Microsoft.Jet.OLEDB.4.0;Data Source=" + sourceFile + ";Extended Properties=\"Excel 8.0;HDR=Yes;IMEX=1\"";
It then tells me that the file is not in that format.
Please excuse me for asking this question in a couple of different ways out here but I cannot for the life of me seem to be able to get an answer as to how I can process a .xlsx file with a C# script and which driver to use that will make this work.
Thanks for your review and am hopeful for a reply.
    ITBobbyP85

    Hi ITBobby85,
If the excel version in the Connection Manager is Microsoft Excel 2010 (.xlsx), we should use Microsoft.ACE.OLEDB provider.
We can't install 32bit and 64bit parts of office on the same machine. We will get an error as you said when we run the installer to install the 64bit version of the Microsoft Access Database Engine 2010 Redistributable in the machine where a 32bit version
of Microsoft Office installed. To fix this issue, please download and install the 32bit version of the Microsoft Access Database Engine 2010 Redistributable with the link below:

  • Is it possible to install WIn7 on Equium A200-1V0?

Is it possible and how would one do it?
I have already made an a**e of installing xp, so I thought I could really a**e things up by going for win 7.
I will never ever touch Toshiba laptops again, worst thing I ever did was buy this.
I have never encountered anything so inflexible in my life. I now have the worlds most expensive paperweight.

The problem is that when I insert the disc into the drive :
    a. it does not read it, the disc drive does not appear to work at all.
When copying the disc to a hard drive and then trying the install it gives me an error message stating it cannot read the data on the disc. I have installed it on two desktops without issue.
I stand by my comment regarding inflexibility, I tried to install xp on the same machine and that was a disaster. I have never seen such a long winded or complex procedure to do a simple change of os. I would like to format the drive but cannot for some reason. Toshiba = b.o.s

  • Trouble installing Win7 64-bit on i5 MBA

I was able to make an .iso of the disc, had all three boxes checked on the bootcamp install screen, formatted Windows on install, booted into Windows. This is when the issues began.
Obviously, without any drivers installed, the resolution is poor, no internet, sound, etc. Just basic functions. So I inserted the thumb drive and opened the Windows support folder. Found setup.exe, double clicked on it. I got some strange error that I can't remember...basically, nothing worked when trying to install the bootcamp drivers.  The error is "The application has failed to start because it's side-by-side configuration is incorrect.  Please see the application event log for more detail."  <-- As cryptic as it gets...
So, I'm completely stuck. Frustrating because I've easily installed bootcamp on many, many macs in the past.
Not sure what's wrong...maybe Wind7 64-bit is not compatible? Should I try 32-bit? I don't want 32-bit due to it not recognizing 4-gigs of ram.
    Help!

I ran into the same problem installing Windows Server 2008 R2 on a 2011 Mac Mini. There's actually a very simple solution.
The setup.exe file in \WindowsSupport is giving me the exact same error. Can't figure out why.
However, there are other installers in there that work just fine! Check in the \WindowsSupport\Drivers\Apple\ folder. The BootCamp64.msi installer worked for me and seems to do exactly the same thing as the main setup. Haven't tried the others but I assume they're okay as well.
    Good luck!

  • Various missing drivers after re-installing Win7 64 bit on hp pavilion dv7-6111eo

    Aloha
First off... I'm no techy, geek or nerd... And I mean those words in the best way, to those who are.
In this case You need to see me like a kid in kindergarden, being taken by the hand, and being shown what to do, down the the last detail. Sad but true.
Without me knowing why, I experienced missing several DLL-files, and often got error messages about those.
A pain in the neck, so I re-installed Windows 7 64 bit, as I didn't want to mess with those DLLs missing.
After that re-installing, I couldn't get internet-connection to my router. Luckily I have a 10+ year old stationary, where I after some time found the driver I needed, so that works now.
But now it seems there's several other drivers missing/not been installed.
I got a little info, from another post, what to provide with info, and hope that will be enough. if not, then please let me know the additional info that may be needed, and where I can find those on my PC, so I can provide these.
    Missing drivers:
    Network Controller;
    Hardware ID: PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_008B&SUBSYS_53158086&REV_34
    SM Bus Controller;

    Universal Serial Bus (USB) Controller;
    Hardware ID: PCI\VEN_1033&DEV_0194&SUBSYS_1659103C&REV_04
I have 4 USB-ports, but only one will work, the others don't respond, and I need all four running at the same time. Plus I'd like to have everything in order after I had to re-install Win 7.
I thank You in advance for any and every help I can get. Just have in mind, that I need the things carved into paper.

  • ITunes 10.5 Won't Install Win7 64-bit; Error 2324

Install starts, gets to the end, and then backs out.  Tried uninstalling, now I have a broken iTunes that won't re-install.

I had a similar problem and after much trial and error, I found a process that worked for me.  I hope this works for you guys and best of luck!!
    Have Patience!!!!!!!
Unplug all Apple Devices from your USB ports or any other ports
    Restart your computer
Open up Control Panel> Programs > Uninstall Programs
Click the “Publisher” to list the programs by publisher
Uninstall iTunes and Restart the computer
Repeat Steps 4-5 and uninstall all Apple Inc. programs (NOTE: If a program does not successfully uninstall, attempt to Repair it first)
Upon uninstalling all programs by Apple Inc. restart your computer
    Delete all these folders:
    C:\Program Files (x86)\QuickTime\
    C:\Windows\SysWOW64\QuickTime
    C:\Windows\SysWOW64\QuickTimeVR
    C:\Program Files (x86)\Bonjour
    C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Apple\
    C:\Program Files (x86)\iTunes
    Restart the computer
Remove all Apple Inc. entries from your registry (For this step I would recommend using CCleaner or aprogram like it if you are not familiar with the RegEdit command… I personallyused CCleaner which can be downloaded for free from www.download.com)
Once you have removed all registry entries from Apple Inc. restart your computer.
Do one more check to ensure that all registry errors and Apple Inc. entries are removed (which include iTunes, Bonjour, QuickTime, etc)
Do another quick check to make sure all Apple Inc. programs are uninstalled from the control panel, all the folders are deleted from Step 9 and the registry is clean.
One more restart and then download iTunes and the installation should go through flawlessly
I hope this works for you guys!! I just downloaded iTunes 10.5 and updated my phone to iOS 5.

  • Installing Win7 on a macbook pro using a mac mini as external optical drive

    hi everyone,
My 2 year old son watches movies on my macbook pro. He stuck something in the optical drive making it unusable. Repairing it is 200 to 300 euros (ouch).
I want to install win7 via bootcamp and I'm using my mac mini (october 2009) as an external optical drive. These are my steps:
1.hold the "t" on the mac mini
2.connect it to the macbook with a firewire 800 to firewire 400 cable
3.Power up and hold the "alt" on the macbook
4.I see the optical drive on the boot screen and I choose it
5.Then I get a blank screen and a few seconds later the "missing operating system" message appears.
Am I missing something? Is it possible to install win7 using a mac mini as an external drive?
PS1:I already have partitioned the HD with bootcamp.
PS2:I've upgraded the hard disk drive of the macbook with a seagate momentus 500GB hard disk. Don't think this is the problem, thought I should mentioned it.

    Hi Mike,
For reference it is called "IP over Firewire".
Connect the two computers with a fire wire cable. System Preferences > Network > Configure IPv4: > Manually > IP address: 192.168.3.1 (and .2 on other) > Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.0. Leave the other fields blank. Do this on both computers on the computer you want to allow access to or both for two way access go to System Preference > Sharing > Select a service to change its settings. Turn remote Login on.
On the MBP go to the Finder Menu > Go > Connect to Server > Type in the IP address of the Mini 192.168.3.2 (Whatever you gave it)
With this configuration you still have full use of the Mini and certain apps can use Xgrid and use the processor of the mini when it is not doing anything. I would keep the Mini as 10.4 unless you really need both machines running Leopard. As noted before you cannot boot the MBP from a HDD that is Apple Partition Scheme and vice versa you cannot boot the PPC from a Guide Partition Table.
