Is it possible to kill a (last) task without shut down the hole App?
For example you wanna open/import something in Adobe AE and the finderdialog hangs.
You dont have any chance to save your work before quit the app.
May it could be a code in Terminal or something like else.
So, is it possible to whrite it down for me please?

You can kill any individual process by using Activity Monitor, selecting the process, and using the Kill Process command. The location and precise phrasing of the command will vary by version of OS X; in Mavericks it's the "x" button at the upper-left corner of the screen.
If it's some part of the application that has hung, though, it's highly probable that killing a process associated with the application will bring down the entire program. In such as case there's almost never any option. In the case of the application hanging in the file open/save dialog, then I don't believe that there will be any way you can recover without forcing the entire application to quit.

In fact, a database operating in NOARCHIVELOG mode is necessary to shutdown the database in order to perform a full backup (Cold Backup), but otherwise a database that is operating in ARCHIVELOG mode, then is possible to perform a full database backup with the database in a open state. (Hot Backup)

Unpredictably, Firefox hangs and does not load websites. It can be closed, but will not restart without shutting down the Firefox.exe *32 process via task manager.

This happens during almost every session I am online with Firefox on this computer alone. I have been using FF for years without issue.

Way too complicated to solve the problem of "firefox is already running ....etc." and there must be a more simple solution to this problem which occurs once in awhile.
It seems to me that Mozilla developers can find a better solution and one that allows control-alternate-delete to fix the problem.
Otherwise, it is just resort to the old reboot solution.

No, you simply do not. Apple does not sell insurance.
Apple offers an Extended Warranty called AppleCare.
Warranties doe not cover lost or stolen devices. Buy a new one.

The battery will run out sooner or later anyway, even if you could prevent shutdown.
iOS 7 includes a feature that prevents anyone wiping and then re-setting up the phone without your AppleID and password.

That is true, and if it is restored to factory settings, and so on. Find My...works when a device is connected to the internet and logs itself in as long as it has not been "sanitized" so it is not recognized.

Delete Repeat of the last delta without messing up the daily delta load

By a mistake we have loaded data from PSA twice in our data targets.
It's a delta load, so my question is can we delete the data update 'Repeat of last delta' without destroying the daily delta load.

Thank you. I actually went for another solution.
I'm still not convienced that if I delete the request if wouldn't mess up our daily delta load (I'll try this on our sandbox). Instead I leave the request as you said in the DSO's and the made a selective deletion on the cube (with request SID as criteria).

Is it possible to have different headers for each page for the Pages app?

I just purchased the Pages app for my ipad and it happens to be one of the best apps i've ever bought. However, I'm having trouble figuring out how to have different headers for each page of the same document. Is this possible to do?

One of the limitations of Pages for iOS on your iPad is that Pages can't create sections per se. The best you can do is insert page breaks and then assign different columns to that page. The problem comes with the headers and footers - in iOS Pages, the headers and footers apply to the whole document, not the individual sections as you would find in Pages '09 on OSX.
The workaround is to create your document on OSX, insert the needed sections and headers, save, then transfer the Pages document to your iPad either as a working "blank" or as a new document. The headers and footers will reflect the sections you created in OS X, but you won't be able to add any new ones or new sections on your iPad.

Since it often takes very long to render high quality files, is it possible to have a post-render action of turning off my computer? Such as an auto shut down after or at least quit after effects. I often times leave my computer on overnight to finish the rendering, but I am sure that is not the best thing for the computer. I own a Mac OS X version 10 and am running Leopard. I have a similar problem and have spent three sequential days at the Apple Genius Bar before we were able to exclude most other possibilities and found that certain files (in my case all mp3s from CDs I own) that play just fine in iTunes 11.0.1 and that used to play in iOS 6.0.1 do not play in iOS 6.1. We restored the phone to factory settings and synced only a few of the music files that were problematic. They still did not play. We reproduced the problem on my iPad mini (iOS6.1).
Apple Telephone Support suggestion was to convert all mp3 files in iTunes to AAC (which according to Apple Website may degrade sound quality). No further suggestions or escalation but a recommendation to place comments on www.apple.com/feedback and, if there are enough complaints, someone at Apple might take an interest in this problem. Something has changed in iOS 6.1 where files that played on prior mobile system software no longer work.
Apple, please pay attention to this glitch with iOS 6.1.

Can't remember the last time I shut down properly!

Well, my story may be similar to others around here so I will make it quick. I got my MBP 17" 2.33 Core 2 Duo last December, and all was running smooth as it should. During this time I had also bought myself a Netgear 802.11n router and some 11n PCI cards for some PC's in the house. So when the update became available for the macbook pro to enable 11n wireless networking, I jumped on it. Probably a little too soon I'm guessing as a result of the problems I have had since.
I have been keeping everthing up to date, such as the airport 2007-002 update, 10.4.9 update etc etc. But I honestly cannot remember the last time I have shut this thing down because the system will lock up at random intervals, when doing different tasks, and I am forced to hold the power button until it turns off. I can't imagine doing this over and over is doing the macbook any good, so if anyone has a solution to this drama and how I would go about doing it that would be awesome. Thanks

Been waiting all evening for this, haha, but yes it crashed again. I had connected to my PC drive for the sake of stress-testing, streamed some video etc from it but it seemed to do fine. And I just left that open for the rest of the night. That connection eventually dropped but I am pretty certain that was due to the the computer going to sleep.
About half an hour later it crashed, MSN locked up/signed out and i got the beachball when moving the cursor over the top right bluetooth/network/vol/batt buttons. Below is a section of the log from when i started monitoring it (i didn't include all the start up jargon) up until it crashed. Hope this can help you help me, thanks.
