Hehehehe...
On an iPod Touch.. ?   No, they do not have a built-in FM radio, I think some of the new small iPod models do in fact have an FM radio as part of the package.

  • Anyone know why I am having trouble listening to my local radio station?

Why can't I connect to my local radio station on the web anymore?  This just started in the last week.  I used to just find the radio station on the web, click on the "Listen" button, and the connection would appear in my iTunes Internet Songs playlist.  I don't think anything has changed at the radio station, I'm guessing something with my iTunes or OS software.  I upgraded to Mac OS X 10.7.5 recently.

    Try this:
Apple menu / System Preferences / Network.
Click Location: and select Edit Locations..
Click + (plus sign), and enter a name for the new location - anything will do.
    Apply this.

  • How to connect to local radio stations?

How do I connect to local radio station on Lumia 520?

    Hi,
Lumia 520 has the required hardware for FM radio functionality but somehow, fm radio support was missing from WP8. This will be enabled in the upcoming Lumia Amber update.
Note that Amber update rollout has already begun and my 920 is already running Amber. So, it's just a matter of days. Meanwhile, keep on checking for latest updates manually.

why can't I listen to radio stations and run a downloaded program at the same time with the ipad2 as I could with the original iPad?
is there something in the new one that I have not turned on?

Nothing needs to be turned on. What apps are you attempting to use? Perhaps the versions you have don't support background operation.

What is the best way to connect with my iMac and my AppteTV when the AppleTV exists in another room?

The AppleTV does not have an FM or AM tuner to pick up radio broadcasts.

Connect both to the same router via Wi-Fi or wired ethernet.

  • In order to stream into a local radio station, I would need to install Silverlight. Is this compatible with MacBook Air?

Is Silverlight compatible with MacBook Air and is it OK to install?  I am trying to stream into radio station and cannot, I'm told, w/o installing Silverlight. Please advise. Thank you.

    Hey!
    Silverlight requirements:
Mac OS X 10.5.7 (Intel-based CPU) or newer and works with browser Firefox 12+ or Safari 4+
    Macintosh (Intel-based)
Intel Core Duo 1.83-gigahertz (GHz) or higher processor with 512-MB of RAM
You want to stream into a radio station?
Like broadcasting signals from you mac to a radio station?
Or do you want to lisen to radio on you MacBook Air?
If you want to stream online radio stations on your Macbook Air, it is sevral options.
    1) You can download a app from App Store
    2) Stream online radio from your web browser ( cud be that some websites tell you that you need Silverlight plugin)
    3) You can add an radio station to an iTunes playlist (needs a few steps before you have it in playlist)

  • TS5181 How do I listen to a local radio station KQED???  It is no longer listed when I select 'radio' !!!

Apple seems to only allow me to listen to their pre-selected radio choices now.  Where is the listing of existing broadcasts???

do they have an adapter that doesn't require that it be plugged into the car, just the phone.  Also if they do what is it called and where can I get one.

  • Cable tracer picking up local radio station

Hello, Good Neighbors!  I just started a new job, working in a mostly Cisco/Windows environment over Cat5, with various wireless AP's scattered around the area, and have noticed serious, generally intermittent slowness on the LAN.  I understand there's about a bajillion possible reasons for slowness, but I'm wondering if one reason is crosstalk....
When using a cable tracer/toner to find a cable's end recently, I heard audible FM radio coming out of the toner speaker.  Subsequent testing revealed this occurs in several different wiring closets, including the cat5 just prior to where it plugs into the PC's.
This can't be good, can it?  Seems like that's crosstalk, with resultant degradation of the lan/wan traffic.
So is this a problem?  And is the solution to ensure all equipment is properly grounded?
    Thanks in advance!

This occurs at different places, but it appears we have quite a few Nortel Baystack 450-24t's, connecting via a Catalyst 4507r with a couple 48port switch modules in it.
I do want to bump into the relevant switch(es) and check for errors, but need to get access info from my coworkers (I'm that new to this position).
I ask about the FM Radio and grounding, because my new coworkers assure me that is not a problem, and they have not routinely grounded things.
Let me check error counters next, but I'm really curious about the FM radio.

  • Is it possible to install App Store apps without an internet connection?

My wife and I both use the same Apple ID for everything.  If she were at home, this would be a no brainer; but she is now stationed in Afghanistan.  She currently does not have access to the internet.
So...is it possible for me to download some games from the app store then copy them to a jump drive so that she can install them on her lap top over there?  Her new laptop was 'authorized' through our iTunes account before she left the states.
    Thanks for your assistance.

The Apple Support Communities are an international user to user technical support forum. As a man from Mexico, Spanish is my native tongue. I do not speak English very well, however, I do write in English with the aid of the Mac OS X spelling and grammar checks. I also live in a culture perhaps very very different from your own. When offering advice in the ASC, my comments are not meant to be anything more than helpful and certainly not to be taken as insults.
Simple drag & drop apps that are mostly what are available in the Mac App Store (MAS) should be fine to burn to CD/DVD or a USB thumb drive and install on another Mac. I would test the apps to make sure that it works for those that you wish to send to her.
I wouldn't put any weight to the BS about fine print. Apple's terms of use for the MAS are that you can install the apps on all of the Macs that you own or that are in your control. There is no restriction on the location of those Macs; home or office, USA or Afganistan!

  • How can I listen to the local radio on my ipod when not on wifi?

I used to have an ipod nano and was able to listen to local stations on the radio without being connected to wifi and now I have an ipod touch and no longer have that option.  Is there anyway that I can listen to the local radio stations on my ipod touch without being connected to wifi.  I know there is an adapter that I can get to plug into my car to listen to the radio on my ipod but I have a radio in my car so that defeats the purpose.
If anyone knows a solution please let me know.
