Is it possible to loan or transfer ebooks.

My wife and I have individual computers, ereaders, email addresses and ADE accounts. Is it possible for us to share/loan/transfer ebooks we have purchased between ourselves?

Unfortunately, an ebook can't be thought of as just an electronic copy of a
paper book.  Industry standards set up under the Digital Millenium
Copyright Act of 2000 give publishers, libraries and resellers options to
share copyrighted materials or not.  Depending on how they set up the
digital rights for the ebooks you have, you may - or may not - be able to
share.
In ADE Library view, put your cursor next to the title of the ebook you
want to share, and click on the small arrow that appears.  A drop-down
panel will appear, and in the middle of that panel is a section that shows
the digital rights.  If copying is allowed, then you can copy the ebook
from your computer to another device.
ADE will support two computers and up to four ereaders on each one.  You
can authorize your wife's ereader to your computer and vice versa, so that,
if you have an ebook you can share, you could download it to both ereaders
from only one computer.  It's a great feature - and one my wife and I
'discuss' often, as she has 'technical difficulties' downloading ebooks
from time to time.  If this 'issue' is important in your household, then if
the digital rights permit copying, you could copy the ebook from your
computer to hers, use ADE to load it into her library, and she can take it
from there.  Just copy the file from your Digital Editions library to hers
(via whatever method works for you), open ADE, click on the small arrow
that appears in ADE Library mode next to the word 'Library', and choose
'Add Item To Library' from the drop-down menu.  A normal system screen will
appear that will let you locate the ebook, and you can choose it from
there.  It should appear in the ADE library immediately.
Hope this helps!

is it possible for me to transfer my downloaded games from my itouch to my ipad? If yes, how?  Will the status of the games be the same?

As long as the apps are still available in the store, and you use the same iTunes account as you originally used to buy them, then you should be able to re-download them for free : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2519
If you want to copy over your progress then you will need to try backin up the iPod and restoring that backup onto the iPad - you can't just restore individual apps, it's all or nothing.

  • Is it possible for me to transfer the purchases from my old itunes account to my new one? I would like to keep all of my music, movies, tv shows etc.

I just created a new Apple ID that is different from my old one. Is it possible for me to transfer the purchases from my old account to my new one? I would like to keep all of my music, movies, tv shows etc.

It doesn't matter what your AppleID is - you can just change the email address associated with it at http://appleid.apple.com/ as mentioned numerous times above.
Okay, my former Apple ID = my former email address and the latter is dead because I moved out of the geographic area.
If you just updated the email address associated with your AppleID you wouldn't have to sign in twice.
I guess Apple Inc is wrong because that is EXACTLY what they stated when I called yesterday afternoon.  SIGN IN TWICE when I activate Apple TV and want to watch/listen to my legitimate purchases when my iMac is OFF.
Your only problem is the fact you didn't safely store the password to your account and subsequently forgot it.
Wrong ... my only PROBLEM, SIR, is that my bride, my wife of over 51 years died in my arms at 4:16 AM on December 27, 2012.  As a direct result, I decided to get the **** out of the city where my Nancy and I lived for **** near 20 years.
On the outside chance it is of interest to you, she is buried at Arlington National Cemetery, Section 66, based on my faithful military service during 1961 -> 1981 ... including Vietnam during 1967.

Part of this PROBLEM, SIR, is that Apple Inc refuses to merge my old purchases with my new one.

Adobe DE doesnt support Sonyereader PRS-T2 - anyway to transfer ebooks onto it?

I am modifying the correct httpd.conf file on the server, it just doesn't seem to work. - If I put the rewrite rules in the <Directory /> the rewrite works but it adds /Library/WebServer/Documents to the URL.
I also tried putting the rewrite rules in <IfModule mod_rewrite.c> but that did not work either.
mod_rewrite is enabled and running on the server.
I will post the rewrite rules again in the code brackets. Sorry for the long post. - If some one can try them out on their Leopard Server to see if they can get them to work, it would be much appreciated. Again, these work on my Leopard Client but I can't get them to work on Server.
-- The httpd.conf file posted above is just the default conf file found in /private/etc/apache2/

  • Unable to transfer ebooks on my binatone anymore

Can anyone explain why i cannot transfer ebooks from my laptop to my binatone anymore. I was able to do it  march 2014.

The issue is with the way - and the user ID - that B&N uses when you
transfer ebooks from their site.  Each ebook has a small file with data
about it and where it came from , including the user ID.  That user ID is
different from the one that Adobe expects to find, and ADE won't do
anything with them.  So, the answer to at least a part of your question is
that, when you download purchased ebooks from B&N, you cannot transfer them
to your computer via ADE because they were downloaded with a different user
ID.  This frustrating situation is due in part to the digital rights that
have been implemented under the Digital Millenium Copyright Act of 2000 by
B&N.  ADE just follows the rules.....
B&N people you spoke with were incorrect in saying that this is Adobe's
problem - they assign the digital rights and implement them through their
    software.

To read on the iMac you need Mavericks...if you have Mavericks, the library for iBooks is available to both devices...open iBooks on the iMac and go to the Library.  Of course that does want to see an iCloud account, forgot to say that.

  • Can i transfer eBooks from laptop to iPad

I was wondering if I buy an eBook on my laptop, can I then transfer that file onto my iPad?

Yes, via Apple's iBook app.  See this article: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4059 "iBooks: Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)":
Can I download books from other websites?
Yes, you can download ePub files on your Mac or PC. Using iTunes 9.2 or later, add them to your iTunes library choosing File > Add to Library, or drag the ePub file to the Books library on your computer. To read these books, simply sync them to your device.
    Cheers!

  • Is it possible to change the transfer mode at runtime?

I was building a WCF service using BasicHttpBinding which
    typically transmits small messages, but
I can not know in advance what will be
the maximum size of transmitted files.
For these reasons, currently I set
Streamed as transfer mode, using Stream objects as method unique parameter or return data of service operations.
    I wondered
if it was possible to make sure that if the size
of the data to be transferred exceeds a certain threshold,
then the Streamed transfer mode is used,
    otherwise the Buffered transfer mode
    is used.
Thanks a lot for your support!
    Vincenzo

    Hi Vincenzo83,
    >>I wondered

if the size of the data to be transferred
    exceeds a certain threshold, then
the Streamed transfer mode is used,
    otherwise the Buffered transfer
    mode is used.
In my mind you can create two endpoints, one will use the buffered transfter mode, the other will use the streamed transfer mode. Then if the files size is large than some value, it will call the first endpoint. Or it will call the second endpoint.

  • How it is possible to debug the transfer of an order from CRM to ECC

    Hello,
how is it possible to debug the coding when a CRM sales order is replicated to R/3?
The outbound of SCM APO and/or the inbound of SAP R/3?
    Thank you in advance.

    Hello,
Data flow from CRM to R/3 is like below:
    - Write the data to outbound queue of CRM
    - Wrtie data to Inbound queue of R/3
    - Validation and Save in R/3
So you can debug from CRM outbound queue, by de-registering the queue in txn:SMQR
R3AI_<OBJECT-NAME> In case of Initial Load
R3AR_<Request-Name> In case of Request Load
R3AD_*                           In case of Delta load
Similarly you can de-register the queue in R/3 as well to debug the R/3 inbound queue.
As you might be aware that MW generic module CRM_UPLOAD_TO_OLTP, would be called for any data transfer
between CRM to R/3. You can start debugging from this point.
    Hope this helps!
    Best Regards,
    Shanthala Kudva.

  • New Computer, Is it possible for ipod to transfer songs?

Is it possible to transfer the songs on an ipod to a new computer, without an existing music library, via the ipod?
I began to transfer songs to my new computer through my network, but it was taking too long, so i gave up. All of my itunes music is in a myMusic folder on my old computer, with subfolders organizing the music. I am worried that when I transfer my songs, the itunes on my new computer will not be able to recognize the cds and that i will have to type alot of song titles.

You can't sync or drag your music back from an iPod to iTunes, the transfer of music is designed by default to be one way from iTunes to iPod. However there is a manual method of accessing the iPod's hard drive and copying songs back to iTunes on Windows posted in this thread: MacMuse - iPod to iTunes
If you prefer something more automated then there are a number of third party utilities that you can use to retrieve the files from your iPod, this is just a selection. Have a look at the web pages and documentation for these, they are generally quite straightforward.

  • How to transfer ebooks (pdf format) from MBPro to new iPad Air?

I just activated and set up my new Ipad Air. Woudl like to get my ebooks off the MBPro andn transfer them to the Air. I am afraid if I sync,  everything from the MBP will try to transfer over. Is that the correct way to do this though? If I plug in the USB cable to the MBPro can I select the files from the laptop I want to put on the iPad Air ?  I apologize if this has been addressed already in an ancient thread.

The best way to select the files you want to transfer to your iPad - with control - is to use Dropbox. Not only can you transfer PDFs, but also just about any other file - even ePub books. It's also free, and really easy to use.
