Is it possible to make clickable links in PSE 11?

Hello!
I am hoping someone will be able to help me. I have created a project in PSE 11- it's meant to be a booklet, and I would like to add clickable links to the project, by way of live links, as well as making parts of the project clickable. The goal is to make it a Tumblr post, and save the multiple pages as an Adobe Acrobat pdf file.
My weak Google-fu tells me that I need to use the slicing tool, but I don't think that is available in Elements? Is there any way around this?

No, sorry. PSE is primarily a photo editor with limited text capabilities, meant more for putting captions on photos and that sort of thing. It is not really intended for use as a page layout program.

How to make clickable links in headers

I am using POPFile to filter my mail. It is terrific. I have used it for years. It will produce a link in the header to any message. In most email programs, the link will appear clickable. But in Mac Mail, it does not. I have to highlight it, and then drag it onto my Firefox icon in the doc. That works, but I would like to find a way to make the links clickable. In Thunderbird there is a plugin called mheny, but I cannot find such a plugin for Mac Mail. Any ideas?

Possible to have clickable link in a compressed movie

I have several QT movies that I'm compressing in Compressor 1.2.1.
These movies will be offered free on the internet , and I would like to have my logo branding (bottom right corner) so when clicked - it would take them to the website in a browser.
Is this possible?

While I've never done this, it is possible to have clickable urls in a Quicktime file. MacBreak Weekly does this. In fact, they have a video podcast which takes you step by step through the process. It requires a 3rd party program called LiveStage Pro to actually embed clickable links. All of that is described in their podcast which can be found via iTunes here:

Importing graphics... blurry or possible to make clickable?

Admittedly, I am no expert with this software but Ive been using it for over 10 years and I am stumped (probably due to exhaustion and a failing memory). What I am trying to do is so simple, and yet I cant seem to find the right process for the end result I am hoping for.
I am writing a book, which has alot of images, and which will be published online as a pdf. The images I have are mostly scanned maps from other books; they are large maps with loads of detail that I need to show. However/as a result, when I fit the image to the available space on the page it is (as to be expected) very blurry.
1. I am actually fine with that because what I would really like is for the image to be clickable - meaning that when a reader clicks on the image in the final pdf of the book, a full size version of the image in all its crisp and detailed glory pops up in paint or the windows image viewer or whatever. The full sized pop up would have to be native to the file as part of the book - it couldnt be a URL. Not even sure if that is possible but I swear Ive seen other pdf ebooks with this feature, so there must be a way.
2. If #1 isnt possible, how can I get these images to at least be readably clear as imported files?
Can anyone advise/guide me on this? Thanks in advance.

It can be done, but you have to manually create the hypertext link from your low-res image map to the final high-res one. Since FM only allows one physical page size per file, you will need to include your high-res maps as separate FM files in the book.
Use an image processing application such as Photoshop (or perhaps even RoboScreenCapture's Image > Scale option depending upon the filetype) to create a low-res version of your map image.
You don't mention which version of FM that you're using, so there could be two ways of doing this. You first have to prepare your high-res map with a hypertext destination marker.
In FM11, you can use the new Graphics > Hotspot Properties... option to make the low-res image a link to your full map that is in a separate FM file. See: http://help.adobe.com/en_US/FrameMaker/10.0/Using/WSB3051E65-851E-428e-AE40-17149BFE534F.h tml for details.
In earlier versions of FM, you would have to place an empty text frame (Fill of None) overtop your low-res image and then insert a single hypertext marker to link to the detailed map in a separate FM file. See: http://help.adobe.com/en_US/FrameMaker/10.0/Using/WSd817046a44e105e21e63e3d11ab7f7960b-7e8 3.html for details.
You will probably have to add the high-res maps as an appendix to your book file.
For some ideas of what can be done with FM to PDF special features, see Shlomo Perets showcase at his site: http://www.microtype.com/showcase.html and expand the Multimedia Assistant section. Note: Shlomo's tools make this easy to do within FM, but a number of these features can also be done manually at the FM end as well.

Is it possible to make a link in a mobile site close the browser window on the iPhone?

I'm developing a mobile site specifically for iPhone users and on my home page I have a disclaimer saying something like do not browse this site while driving. I give them the option to continue by clicking a link or to close the browser by clikcinga link. So far I haven't been able to find a script that can handle that for mobile, or more specifically, the iPhone. Can this be done on the iPhone and what versions are limited to this feature?

Ok let me ask you IF the IT department of your workplace does NOT want OS X installed on "THEIR" (The Companies) computers because of what they think is some type of security issue why are you trying to go against their wishes and install OS X on a computer that is NOT owned by you.
That could cost you your job.
If you continue down this path you will screw up the Windows install and have to take the system back to the IT department to get it fixed. What do you think they will say at that point?
Do as you like but you would be better off just buying your own Mac computer if you are set on using OS X as your personal operating system.

i am now more sure that you're asking what i thought you were asking, but i also now see where you might be getting confused. my original answer you your question (referenced above) still stands. i think you're getting confused, though, with the csv output functionality. it's not csv Input...it's csv output. that means it provides a link within your report region to allow users to download the data shown to a local csv document. there is no native functionality w/in htmldb to facilitate the uploading of spreadsheet data into one's application. in my original answer to your question, i said that my answer at the bottom of...

Clickable Link in iDVD - Possible?

I've got a feeling that I know the answer to this one, but I'll ask anyway.
Is it possible to put a clickable link onto a DVD produced in iDVD?
For example if someone wanted to put the produced DVD in to a Mac (or indeed a PC) and click a link to take them to a website? You know the sort of thing I mean...Like "extras" on Music CD's and some Commercially produced DVD's

Acrobat's Link tool permits creating links.

Good to know --- WP is not supported by Acrobat as WP uses its own process to output PDF.

How to make a clickable link into a JOptionPane

I've created a about menu for my app with a JOptionPane and I'd like to know if I can insert a clickable link to my email on this, so when the user clicks it, it will have the same effect as it would have on a web browser.
Is it possible?

Yes.... You can put other things besides strings into JOptionPanes. Such as you can put a JEditorPane that displays some HTML, which can in turn have links in it. Or buttons that look like links.
But I've also had problems in modal dialogs in some cases where clicking the links in HTML doesn't work correctly (the HyperTextEvent doesn't get fired).
As for same effect... Well, it's usually more complicated than that. Applets are simple (Applet.showDocument(), or AppletContext, whatever it is). Otherwise you need to do something different. Search the forums for posts on launching URLs from applications, there's plenty o' info.

How Do I Make Bitmap, Graphic, or Movie Clip into a clickable link??

I am designing a website entirely in flash (macromedia flash) but I cannot get the bitmap, graphics, or movie clips clickable links, although when hovered over turns into a hand. Any suggestions? I have also tried the following script;

I'm hot linking the raw fla file below. I bought this template online and have modified it alot (all cosmetic) but I cant get the tabs to be links!? I used action script (the one posted above) in every layer and the text inside the tabs. But still doesnt work Does anybody know whats wrong?

I wouldn't say you're screwed, you just have some work ahead of you to find out what are actually the buttons in that thing. If you look at the file on stage you'll see a large turquoise shape (an invisible button) that when you select it shows it has an instance name of "menu"... I still couldn't figure out what it has to do with those animated tabs, but it may lead to further discoveries.
There's a lot of stuff woven into that file, and with the frame by frame animation, it's hard to isolate just about anything. Based on what I see in the library as far as object naming goes, and your not knowing what's where, I'd conclude that this is an "acquired" design that has been decompiled into the fla you are trying to figure out. While I haven't any experience with decompiled files, it wouldn't surprise me if there is an increased level of complexity as a result of how the decompiler rebuilt the file.

Can a Quicktime file download from clickable link?

Quicktime file download to desktop from clickable link?
I have large movies that I want to make available for direct download to the desktop so people will click download and do something else.
It is my understanding that you can't provide a quicktime file for download to a desktop because there are PC/MAC and browser issues across platform. But maybe I'm wrong.
Is it possible to make a web page that allows users to download higher file size videos from a clickable link? The quicktimes are h.264 in SD + HD around 50-100 megs. The files will be so large people won't want to wait so I want it to go directly to the desktop.
So far I can only find a few similar options
1) Embed the file in a web page. Provide a download link after the movie loads.
(This option requires you to load the file into the page. Users may not wait and close it)
2) Provide a zip file. This allows you to create a clickable link to the zip which begins downloading upon clicking. You then unzip the file. (Some less computer savvy people may get confused by the zip)
3) Put a raw file on server. This will play the movie in a blank window but can also be right clicked for direct download.

I've seen a few sites that have a link to the video with instructions to "Right-click to download". Essentially, it's option three with instructions. It seems to be a fairly common way of handling it. (Even for non-QuickTime movies)

Does Keynote allow you to create clickable links in pdf files yet?

I searched the forum and found a similar question that was asked back in 2005, and with newer versions of Keynote now available I hope I'm not posting a duplicate question here.
I would like to be able to use iWork's Keynote to make small, business-type cards for downloads as .pdf files and I'd like to include a clickable website url or email link, if possible.
How about doing this in Pages? I haven't used pages yet but I presume you can save the files as pdf's?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
An afterthough - if I need Acrobat to do this is there a large learning curve involved?
I see many 'Viral eBooks' and brochures being created for and by PC users, and when I download them the links are clickable on the Mac. You see lots of programs for PC's being advertised that are supposed enable you to to this, but none for the Mac. I'm hesitant to invest in Acrobat as I only want to do one or two business card type pdfs with clickable links.

I ran a quick test and Keynote exported a slide with both a clickable link to an email address and a website. After printing to PDF (command-P/Save as PDF), there were no clickable links.
As far as I know, you need at least Mac OS X 10.4.4 for this to work, and of course Keynote 3.

In our Bex Report we have the Bill number and we want to make the link from the single cell and the image of bill.
The possible paths to solve the problem are:
Replicate the image in BW and crate a link from the single cell and the image of document.
Create an URL link from the single cell and the image of document archived on File.net server.
In witch way we can to implement the two paths?
