Is it possible to Merge Entities in Logical Model ?

Hi,
There is an option to merge mutiple tables in a Relational Model.Similarly is there an option to merge multiple Entities in a Logical Model?

There is no option for consolidating folders into one. Why would you want to would be my question, but since you think you do, then you can drag-and-drop a group of selected photos to a new folder if you want and repeat this for each subfolder.
You can also just turn on View Photos in Subfolders option to see all of the photos in one grid or thumbnail strip without physically moving them around.
It might also work to turn on viewing of photos in subfolders and then highlighting all of them and dragging and dropping them into the consolidation folder. I haven’t tried this, nor do I intend to, though.

If you're inside SQL Developer, you're in the wrong tool, as it can currently only view models.
Download the stand-alone [Data Modeler|http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/database/datamodeler/index.html] (mind the license is not free ) ...

SQL Modeler: Logical Model Merge

Hi all,
I'll like to consolidate and merge two (and more) logical models into one single model. We have design teams that work separately and we need to consolidate their logical models into one. Is this possible? If yes, how can I do it? If not, will be added in a future release? Is there any workaround I could use in the meantime?

Identify Entities for Logical Data Model

Hi,
I donno exactly this is the correct forum for this question. I believe there are database experts here to help me on this.
I am in confusion that, phsically the data can be saved in a set of tables (4-5 tables). But different views (User Interfaces) and reports can be created from these tables.
Assume that,
View1 - Uses all tables
View2 - uses only 3 tables
View3 - uses only 1 table
Report 1 - uses only 2 tables
Report 2 - uses only 4 tables
Should my Logical Data Model reflect all these view1, view2, view3, Reprt1 and Report2?
How exactly do we need to identify the entities for Logical Data Model?
Could you please any one help me on this?

This configuration is weird little bit. There is MatchExpression /app1 and MatchExpression /app2 and at the same time two <Location /weblogic> sections. Are you sure you understand what that configuration stands for?

Thanks, Evan. Your first suggestion works - although with a lot more difficulty as the Quicktime Pro I have is 5.0 and in Mac OS 9.2. If I listen to it in QuickTime Pro 5.0 after exporting - it is very jerky but the final AIF is okay. I can now burn the CD in iTunes. I probably should upgrade to QuickTime Pro 7 (.whatever) but I am leary about putting out the extra cash if it won't export Midi Files. Any experience with that?
Also, I do want to get the hang of converting midi data to audio in LE7.01. That way I can add singing to the songs for the beginner students to learn.
Maybe I'll have a better feel for that once I finish the Training Series book.
Some of the advantages of keeping it in midi format is the ability to transpose. Some students don't sing in the key the works are written in.
Your second idea did not work for me. Maybe because I don't have Toast on this computer (it was attached to my iBook). When I opened Toast, chose AUDIO and dragged the midifile to it, it rejected the offer as not being in Audio format.

Oracle Modeler: How to link DFD Information Stores to Logical Model Entitie

I have created a hierarchy of DFDs for my system :)
Some of the DFDs have Information stores.
I want to specify the Entities in each InformationStore by linking them to Entities I have defined in the Logical model/ERD.
However... in the Information Store Properties dialog box in the Entities section there is just a [xyz] button so I can't see how to link the store to my existing Entities (Iwas epxecting to see + and - and a dialog box that allowed me to select the Entities I have already created ?
Help !
(are Information Structures somehow involved as they have the + and - buttons) ??

Entities section just shows linked Entities.
Go to Attributes section and add (link) desired Attributes to InformationStore.

Not good, because I want the Logical Model to drive the processes, not the other way around. The tool seems to be implementing a version of systems analysis that I can trace to DeMarco (1979). This was discovered to be sub-optimal, and documented as such by Flavin (1981), and McMenamin and Palmer (1984). Palmer's later work (unfortunately, mostly unpublished) showed in more detail exactly how the Logical Model should drive the Process Models, not the other way around.
Ideally, an Information Store could be associated to an Entity, and, when the analyst was ready (not before), balancing reports could be run to identify situations where the Entity had attributes that were never created, or never read. Other CASE tools have been able to do this for the last 20 years; it's not rocket science.
I would characterize the way the tool works now as "program-centric" rather than "data-centric."
By analogy, it reminds of a different, but also common programmer behavior, namely pestering the DBAs to denormalize everything, because it saves them (the programmers) from having to code joins.
Don't let programmers drive software methods, or the supporting software tools.

id like to know if its possible to merge my iPhoto library from my ibook (tiger) to my iPhoto library in my MacMini (panther).
whats the best way i can have all my pics transferred from ibook to macmini (preferably by album).

Do the two libraries share some of the same images?
Are you running the same version of iPhoto?
Do you want to keep keywords, albums, comments intact on the merge?
Depending on how you answer the questions there is a different route you can follow.
If you just want albums from the PB to import into the mini and don't care about keywords,etc.:
Highlight the album in the source column and select all
hit Share/export
Export to a newly created folder on the desktop
Once all albums are exported copy them over to the mini desktop or burn them to a DVD.
Open iPhoto on the mini
drag the album folders into an open iPhoto viewing window.
If you have any images that are the same in both of the libraries, you might get duplicates imported, so you will have to wade through them to delete the dups.
To merge the libraries:
Copy the Entire iPhoto Library folder to the mini
Download and pay for iPhoto Library Manager
Follow directions in the documentation to merge libraries.

I am working on a scenario where i need to populate the result of a transaction in the landing page.
while executing the transaction, i need to select two variants.
I tried by recording the script and do the copy paste of the values. But i am ended up in copying the value of the second variant selected but not the first.
What would be suggested method? is it possible to merge scripts? Will that be possible?

Well, you could do the two different recordings, then upload them into the same script button and use IF conditions to decide which one to run.
When uploading the recorded script, there is an option to append the second recording to the existing script.
Unless I misunderstand your scenario, this should work...
