Is it possible to move bought software license to AppStore?

Dear community,
I wonder if it's possible to sort of "migrate" once bought tools, that are also available in the AppStore to the AppStore?
It would be a great move so I do not have to take care for updates and stuff.
There was a thread here that mentioned it is possible for Aperture... but I might be wrong.

Your Lightroom License key is,
1. Cross platform Mac and or Win.
2. It is a single user / owner.
3. You can have two installations active with one in use at any point in time.
4. There is no deactivate process like other Photoshop products.
5. You can uninstall / install as many times as you need as long as you keep the spirit of the license.
6. The license key is specific to the Lightroom version, i.e License key for LR 4 will not work for LR 5.
7. You can upgrade i.e. purchase from any version of Lightroom 1,2,3,4 to the latest LR 5.

I've recently been given a macbook pro from uni, with lots of adobe software on. I want to pair it with my iMac which has music etc and is it possible to get the software to the imac and the files to the macbook?Giving me the best of both :-)

You would need the original installation disks or files for the Adobe software to get it onto your iMac, and having it on two computers may not be allowed by your university's licensing. Talk to whoever issued the MacBook.
As to the music, just copy it over to the MacBook, either via Home Sharing, file sharing, or an external storage medium (hard drive, USB flash drive, etc.).

Is it possible to move the rsw.vba file to a shared directory?

As I create more global functions, contants, variables, subs etc., this file will get very important. So Important that I suspect if it were somehow to become corrupt, deleted or lost most or all of my scripts would be broken. Right now I don't have source control software so I would like to store this file on our fileserver. I have already moved my repositories, scripts and DataBank Files to this location.

i don't believe is possible to move the RSW.vba file to a shared directory, however you can just copy the file across different machines.
I would also strongly recommend that, (if this file is gonna become so important) to use a source control system, SVN and tortoise make a very good combination

IPod Software License Agreement? Help!

For some reason when I plug my iPod video in, it won't come up with the contents of of my iPod or anything. When I click on my iPod in the device list it just shows the iPod Software License Agreement page. I've clicked the "I've read and agree to the terms" button and then clicked save, and it still does nothing. So I have no way of putting music or videos or anything on my iPod. Someone please help me.

Change your screen resolution.
Right click on the desktop. Properties>Settings. Move the screen resolution slider to the correct setting. Press Apply.

Control Panel won't open/Software License Service fails to run

I'm not sure what happened, I had left my computer on sleep for about 4 hours, I came back and I was getting these UAC messages even when I was opening elevated mode for task manager. Soon I realized my control panel won't open. After some googling, the problem was apparently linked to a service called Software License Service and it was either caused by virus(but I have avast..) or files that somehow got corrupted. I had: updated my system using Thinkvantage system update + did a system backup+ ran memtest86+ + turned off AMT + turned off Intel onscreen display. That's all I did before this happened.The error code I get when I try to start control panel through cmd is Error 34 (don't know what this means). And Software license service won't start.
*control panel opens fine in safe mode
*ran sfc, there were problems that 'couldn't be repaired'
1. Is there any way to fix this, ie is there a hotfix available or something I can just download and install?
2.Any idea what might have possibly caused this?
3. I did a quick restore using the backup I did and the problem was still not fixed. Will a full restore help or will I have to resort to factoy restore?

Is it at all possible to move ipod music from a mac to a pc?

...without a CD burner on the mac?
Here's the problem...
My son wants to burn a CD of some of his ipod music. We had originally intalled the ipod on a mac. However, the mac disk is full, and we haven't been able to install an external cd burner.
We have several pcs with cd burners, so I thought I could move the music over to the pc using the ipod. It did create a "shared" library, but you can't do anything with that but listen to it. I reformatted the ipod to pc format, but can't put the music back on the ipod.
I should be able to reformat the ipod back to mac, then reload the songs on there, but unless I can free up enough space to load the cd burner software, I'm kind of out of luck?

Windows can't read the HFS+ file system that a Mac uses.
If you need to use a Mac (HFS+) formatted iPod on a Windows PC, you'll need to install some 3rd party software such as XPlay 2.0 (which you can get from MediaFour Software). This will enable your Windows PC to read a Mac-formatted iPod.

Itunes 6.0 stuck at Software License Agreement

I am having a great deal of trouble with running the new itunes. I downloaded the itunes 6.0.4 and quicktime, but when I click to open it, the itunes software license agreement shows up for less than a second, then closes by itself. If I click on it again it does the same thing. I have tried uninstalling it and reinstalling it, but the same thing happens. Also, when I try to open the quicktime it opens for less than a second and closes automatically.
Will someone please help me fix this problem because I just bought a video 30gb and I need to have this version of itunes to transfer my songs

Tell me, what antivirus programs do you run on that PC? Many times, they interfere with the successful download and install of iTunes. Can you get Quicktime to open at all? Make sure Quicktime was installed because iTunes cannot work without Quicktime.
If it was not installed, try the standalone download of Quicktime. I have the link if you need it. Turn OFF antivirus and firewall programs prior to downloading iTunes. Instead of running it over the internet, save it to your desktop or Harddrive. Post back and let us know

Move base-ap license to another WLC?

Hi
I would like to move the base license from a Cisco air-ct5508-50-k9 to a new air-ct5508-12-k9.
And then move the air-ct5508-12-k9 to the air-ct5508-50-k9. Baically swap them around.
The reason I need to do this is that it will be very hard to move the units physically so just moving the base license would make life much easier.
Does anyone know if this is possible?

different devices have different serial numbers, and the license has that serial number inside it."among other inventory items"
moving the license between WLC's is not possible.
you can open a TAC case stating your problem and someone from the licensing team will help you to sort that out.

Burning movies bought in the iTunes store?

Is it possible to burn movies bought in the iTunes store onto DVD so i can play them through a normal DVD player? It's kind of difficult for me and my family (four of us) to all gather around my 13.3" screen to watch a movie that i bought. Any help is appreciated.

Officially no, they will allow you to back-up the movie as a "data file" on a DVD (for back-up purposes), but not burn it onto a DVD to watch in a DVD player. You would need to either connect your computer to your TV, or there are accessories available to connect your ipod, for video playback.
There are some hacks/workarounds out there (try googling this topic), but nothing official.

Possible to move mp3s back to hard drive from player?

is it possible to move or copy mp3s from the player back to the hard dri've of pc or laptop?
i have a creative zen sleek 20gb and using the creative labs software that came with it etc.
havent used it in a long time and i cant remember if i ever was able to move my mp3s back onto my computer again?
does any know if its possible? the creative media source software doesnt seem to let me or give me any sort of
opinions for moving it back.

You did not say you had no access to the XP computer. It can be done it's just tedious.Must be installed using Compatabilty mode for XP(right-click file choose properties/compatibilty/ run as XP SP2). Can't sign Software License Agreement

I had an iPod nano and now I got a new iPod Touch. I connected it to my computer and I got to the Software License Agreement, but I can't scroll over and click 'continue'. I can check the little box saying I agree and all that, but I can't click continue. I can also click cancel and save and I have tried both, and nothing works. I also tried 'restore down' to make the screen smaller to see if a sideways scroll bar popped up, but it doesn't. What do I do to make it scroll over???

Try this:
Select the "start" menu at the bottom of your computer and click on "control panel".
Go to "appearance and themes"
You then want to select "change the screen resolution".
Move the cursor from "less" toward "more"
Then go back into the iTunes account until you see "Continue" on the far right of the license agreement screen. Hope this helps.

Track Software Licenses Sales in ERP?

I'm looking at ERP software for a company that designs and assembles machines which include the software for free. In the future, they plan to license the software instead. Would you keep track of these software licenses in your ERP software or somewhere else?
If they decide to sell the software, it may come with 1 year of upgrades \ support. It might be a license key or physical license file. It'll probably be licensed per device but per user should be a possibility.
I'm currently coming up with a list of requirements for the ERP implementation and wondering what to ask\look for or if there is some other program that's typically used to track licenses? Currently I'm looking at dynamics gp, netsuite, epicor, and maybe a few others.

Reinstallation Acrobat Pro x, no legit software license

I bought a CS6 Design and Web Premium (windows 8.1), and somehow the Acrobat Pro X stops working out of nothing. The first time a deinstalled Acrobat Pro and reinstalled it, then again after a few weeks Acrobat Pro X stops working again. So After a few ##$%$@! words I deinstalled Acrobat pro again (without deactivating it) and tried to install the product again. The program didn't complete its installation progress because Adobe thinks it's not a legit software license.
Please tell me how :
- I can install Acrobat Pro X again with my software key
- I can prevent Acrobat Pro X for stop working after a few weeks.

And to answer your questions; I just installed Reader 11 and its working fine. As for Acrobat 11, I must've used a trial last year before we got CS6 because it is asking me to license it, so I cant test that unfortunately.

Bought a license for the A3 Trial, but A3 isn't recognized by update

Hi,
I initially downloaded the A3 Trial and bought my license. I find that Software Update is not recognizing A3 in my system. I manually downloaded the new 3.0.1 update and it refuses to install saying that "Aperture 3.0 or later is required to install this update".
I would really appreciate any suggestions to get the system to recognize A3.

I tried Jay Klein's suggestion and it worked fine (see page 3). Actually, after deleting the preference file he refers to, I checked to see if Software Update would detect that I had Aperture and it did, automatically suggesting the upgrade to 3.0.1. It seems to have installed fine...
