Is there a way to move the items I have in my Calendar into the new Family Calendar?

To move an event from one calendar to another, simply follow the steps below.
Move an event to any of your calendars.
Note: If you move an event from a calendar that’s not hosted on an Exchange server to a calendar that is, some event information may be saved in the Note field because some options aren’t available in Exchange calendars.
Do one of the following:
Double-click the event, then choose a calendar from the pop-up menu in the top-right corner.
Drag the event to a new calendar in the Calendar list.
Select one or more events. Control-click one of the events, choose Calendar, then choose a calendar.
To move a copy of an event, select the event, then choose Edit > Copy. Select the calendar where you want the event, then choose Edit > Paste.

You can import the pdf as an image but it is not editable.
If you are after the text, open it in Preview and copy the text and paste it wherever you want, or open it in Adobe Acrobat Pro and convert it into a Word .doc.

1. Can I create new item using personalization and refer to the item in the another region (for example there are 2 regions in my page R1 and R2, R1 has fields a,b,c and R2 has salary,empno,deptno , so can I create a field FFF in R1 and refer to deptno in R2.Suppose you have a 2 region like R1 & R2.
R1 contains three MessageTextInput Box. (eg a,b,c)
R2 contains three MessageTextInput Box. (eg x,y,z)
Then you can create a new item in any region & its will only impact your UI. (i.e. It will be displayed under the region where you have created it.)
2. if answer to above question is yes, then if user changes the value in deptno, will this get updated in the apps.The data in the new field won't update the automatically unless & untill, you attach EO based VO to the newly created item.

Cant find any topics on mail here but as the question relates to calander as well this is the only place I can post it.
How can I turn an email into a calander event?
I've have only been using a Macbook pro now for under 1 month but one critical piece of functionality has me stumped. In outlook, I could turn a mail item into a calendar or task item by simply dragging the message over the calendar icon on Outlook's folder bar and the contents would become a calendar item.
How do I do that on the Mac? I dont rally want to use third party apps as I would have thought that this basic piece of functionality would have been included?

Did you hover over the date?
If the email has no date in it, it would be difficult for an automated process to add it to iCal! However, there are add-ons that provide a basic functionality, though I don't know if they've been updated for 10.8. Take a look, for example, at Mail2iCal

After update to 10.8.3 not possible to move items on desktop wit mouse

I have just updated from os X 10.6.8 to 10.8.3 (working on a Macbook Pro 15" from 2011)
The first issue I'm having is that I don't seem to be able to move items on my desktop or in my finder windows.
What happens is this (on the desktop): I click on an item, it is highlighted, I can then drag it to another place, but it doesn't release from the tip of my mouse-arrow, so it's impossible to 'drop' it to its new place on the desktop. The same happens when I try to move items in my finder from one location to the next: on clicking on the item (i.e. a word-doc) it is highlighted. If I then keep the mousebutton down to drag the item to another place and release, the item doesn't release...
HELP?!

Reinstalling Lion/Mountain Lion Without Erasing the Drive
Boot to the Recovery HD: Restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the COMMAND and R keys until the menu screen appears. Alternatively, restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the OPTION key until the boot manager screen appears. Select the Recovery HD and click on the downward pointing arrow button.
Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions: Upon startup select Disk Utility from the main menu. Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions as follows.
When the recovery menu appears select Disk Utility. After DU loads select your hard drive entry (mfgr.'s ID and drive size) from the the left side list. In the DU status area you will see an entry for the S.M.A.R.T. status of the hard drive. If it does not say "Verified" then the hard drive is failing or failed. (SMART status is not reported on external Firewire or USB drives.) If the drive is "Verified" then select your OS X volume from the list on the left (sub-entry below the drive entry,) click on the First Aid tab, then click on the Repair Disk button. If DU reports any errors that have been fixed, then re-run Repair Disk until no errors are reported. If no errors are reported click on the Repair Permissions button. Wait until the operation completes, then quit DU and return to the main menu.
Reinstall Lion/Mountain Lion: Select Reinstall Lion/Mountain Lion and click on the Continue button.
Note: You will need an active Internet connection. I suggest using Ethernet if possible because it is three times faster than wireless.

Can't Move Items to iCloud Calendar

I'm running Office 2013, and today I started receiving errors when I'd try to drag an item from a different calendar in Outlook to my iCloud calendar. I've done this before with several hundred items (large family, I get in make sure everyone has what they need on their calendar). So, today the error I received was
"Cannot copy the items. Failed to INSERT Message in Z1Cache: near "#IND": syntax error. SQL INSERT INTO IPM.Appointment" and then a ton of numbers.
At first I just disconnected my account from iCloud, restarted the computer, restarted Outlook clean, then reconnected my iCloud account. That didn't help, so I uninstalled iCloud all together, reboot, opened Outlook, closed Outlook, cleaned my Apple folders in AppData, reboot, then downloaded a new copy of iCloud and installed it. Lo and behold the I got the error again.
Any ideas what I can do to get rid of this?

Microsoft Outlook Calendar: Outlook also displays iCloud and Exchange data separately. Exchange data typically appears within the My Calendars section, as in the example below with Calendar under My Calendars.
Outlook has a descriptive note about which collection your calendars belong to next to the Calendar title in the left panel of Outlook. Your local Outlook data (that is, data not belonging to either iCloud or Exchange) also appears within the My Calendars section of Outlook. Local Outlook data will have the description Outlook Data File next to the calendar title, while Exchange data will have your Exchange email address or account name next to the Calendar title. iCloud calendars have iCloud next to the calendar title, and appear in the iCloud section of Outlook Calendar instead of the My Calendars section.

Try restoring from your backup of a day or so prior to when you made the error.

Unable to move item into trash

This message could not be moved to the mailbox trash- i get thus error whenever i try and delee my emails. I cant see any settings bu i have obviosly missed somethin somewhere

Try going into Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars. Then select the account on the right-hand side of that screen, select Account, then Advanced, Deleted Mailbox, and under On The Server tap the 'Trash' folder so that it gets a tick against it - then come out of that series of popups by tapping on the relevant buttons at the top of them and then see if you can delete emails.

Birthday Calendar - how do I move item from Home calendar?

I have a Birthday calendar set up but can't find a way to add items to it. Al my birthday reminders are currently in my Home calendar. I am sure (pre latest update) there was an option to open the item and choose which calendar it was in - not any longer, or I can's find it!

Forget it! Just found ref, and now realise that the birthday calendar picks up this information from your contacts list! Doh!

Is it possible to move Multiple playlists into a Folder at once?

I have hundreds upon hundreds of playlists dating back years. As a non forward thinker I've created most of the in the 'root' of the Music Library.
I'm attempting to organize into Playlist Folders & the one at a time drag n drop is a little tedious. Any way to select/move multiple playlists at once?

You can't select multiple playlists. It should be possible to move them into or between playlist folders by way of a script, but I suspect that is just exchanging one laborious task for another.

Move page item into a rectangle

the indesign client allows it to move a page item into a rectangle by copy it and pase with the option "paste into selection". How this behavior can be achieved by scripting on the indesign server?

That turned out to be a bit harder than I thought as first ...
It seems you cannot simply do
rectangles[0].add (someOtherObject);
or
someOtherObject.move (rectangles[0]);
With the regular version of CS4, you can easily copy the manual approach:
app.cut();
app.documents[0].rectangles[0].select();
app.pasteInto();
-- but does that even work on ID Server? (I would guess not.)
The hard way is to add an instance of your original object to the correct type of the rectangle's properties array, copy all properties of the original object into the new one, then delete the original object.
For instance, if you want to 'move' a text frame into a rectangle, do something like
origTf = textFrames[0];
myTf = rectangles[0].textFrames.add();
myTf.geometricBounds = orgTf.geometricBounds;
myTf.strokeWidth = orgTf.strokeWidth;
myTf.fillColor = orgTf.fillColor;
... for all possible properties of a text frame. For an image, do the same but with Image properties. For a graphic line, do the same but with GraphicLine properties ... (It sounds like a totally insane way of working, but remember that internally InDesign itself can access all lists of properties 'immediately'.)
You cannot use a PageItem this way ... because you can't "add" a page item!

Is this a NAS type of setup (of which I know very little)? Mine is not a response based upon strong technical knowledge but iTunes seems to have problems with those. Just about everybody has issues with iTunes but you say it is not fit for the purpose. What is that? I bet for 99% of people it does. Not everybody has 8TB collections they are trying to use with a RAID structured external server. iTunes is really a mass consumer piece of software. Yes, many people have expanded beyond internal drives, but NAS arrangements seem to add levels of complexity beyond a direct external drive that is Mac formatted and at most served by an Apple brand wireless router which I suspect is probably how everything is tested. Anything more is fortuitous in terms of support. Except that you say the library files are on the external drive too it sounds to me like the server is asleep when you say it cannot find files and then suddenly can when you go to find one.

Heading above pretty much explains it. Sometime recently, my trash started acting differently - when I attempt to move an item into the trash, I get a message asking if I want to delete the item permanently. I am sure this is a fairly new phenomenon.

Click on the item in the Finder's sidebar with the house icon and verify that you are able to write to this folder in the Sharing & Permissions section of the Get Info window, and that it isn't locked; if it is already set this way and you get that error, open the Terminal in the /Applications/Utilities/ folder and run the following:
mkdir ~/.Trash
If you get a message stating that the folder exists, run the following:
sudo chown $UID ~/.Trash
chmod u+rwx ~/.Trash
The first command in the second set will prompt you for your administrator password; nothing will appear in the Terminal window while it is being typed. In either case, click on the Finder icon in the Dock with the Control and Option keys pressed, and relaunch it.

Put another way:
No. An Event is a place. A Smart Album isn't a place, it's a list. It's the answer to a Question: "What are all the photos with this keyword?" "What are all the Photos with this date?"
So, nothing in a Smart Album is moved. It remains in it's original location and is simply listed in the Album.

How to move excluded items into Measures in OBIEE 11g Pivot Table

Hi All,
Need your help. Previously I have about 25 facts in my pivot table as rows. Now I need to add about 10 more. Adding new criteria only put the items into Excluded section. How can I move all these new items at once to the end of the existing facts? What I can do now is moving them one by one, and in the middle of existing facts, then move it again, because I can point my cursor to the end of them directly.
