Is it possible to move slidelet close button?

So I know the good old 'X' box in the corner of the slidelet is a real bugbear for captivate users, but that's because it's completely broken. I can't upload an image because of the stoopid fXOing firewall in the building I work in, so I'll try to describe the problem: The X button appears to be fixed in a relative position roughly 400 pixels to the right of the top-right corner of the slidelet. I have isolated the exact step that causes the 'x' to shift: This slidelet has a caption on it, and as long as it stays on the right-hand side of the slidelet it's fine. But for every pixel that the leftmost edge of the caption passes to the left of the centre point, the 'x' moves one relative pixel to the right away from the slidelet's top right corner. Absolutely fXOing ridiculous.
Therefore if I want to put it in a place where it (A) doesn't look stupid (B) fits all of the slidelet in the slide, the little x is off the edge of the parent slide by a good 60-100 pixels. Is there a way to fix this that doesn't involve re-doing the entire project and advising my client to splash out on widescreen monitors for all the potential users of this learning module?

I have reproduced this error in a brand new project from scratch, except I was wrong about it being the same distance pixel-by-pixel. It appears to be related to the relative size of the objects and slidelet.
In the interest of being constructive and improving the software, I will provide this file if asked, but the trick will be that I will have to take it home and upload it from there, probably using a file-sharing host like mediafire or similar.

So, never mind, I just re-laid the slidette to have the captions on the right. Will still submit the aforementioned file as a bug report when I get home tonight, if ever.

In 4.0.1, is it possible to move the Bookmarks Button on the Bookmarks Toolbar to a different position on the Bookmarks Toolbar from it default position on the far right?

The default Bookmarks Button is on the far, upper right side of the browser window on the Bookmarks Toolbar. It's distracting there, on the edge, in Siberia. I use it a thousand times per day. It's unnatural and distracting to always be turning to the edge, away from "the action". Is there any way to slide its location on the toolbar? Or at least put it on the far left where there's more "action"? I doubt I'm the only one with this instinct, otherwise the Firefox button and items on the usual menu bar (like File, Edit) would not always be placed on the upper left, not upper right. I'm not asking about the other, optional Bookmarks Button that can be put on the Navigation Toolbar which functions differently and more cumbersomely.

To move the bookmarks button on the Bookmarks Toolbar, you have to go into Customize first. Just drag the button palette to one side so you have full access to the bar. The only things on it should be "Bookmarks Toolbar Items" and the icon for the bookmarks drop-down list. Hopefully then you can swap their positions.
(And it is weird that the buttons look the same when one shows a menu and other opens the Bookmarks Sidebar.)

Is it possible for the Firefox CLOSE button on MAC OS to function like native applications ... eg Safari?

Is it possible for this to work like Safari and other apps? Instead of it exiting and losing all saved information it exits/runs in the background like Safari and restores correctly?
If not is there a reason it acts this way unlike other MAC applications?

I don't do/know Macs. However, there is a way to get Firefox to save all your work and let you continue on from where you left off last.
Go to Tools -> Options. In the General tab, the very first section is called Startup and has a dropdown menu. Change the drop-down menu setting to "Show my windows and tabs from last time."

You can tell the frame not to decorate with JFrame.setFrameUndecorated() {or something like that,
look it up in the API}, or you can specify your own decorations. I'm guessing that you really don't
want to do either of those, though.

If you ctrl-click on the button bar, you can make modifications. Like adding some extra space before the Send button.

Close button for Exe

Ok, there are scads of posts about Close button for a swf
file being problematic because of the browser being used.
Is it possible to get a close button to work for an exe?
The button in the playbar works, but not a button I have
created.
If not I'll preface my presentations with, to end this module
press the x button in the play bar... or something.

For a Close button in a .EXE it should be pretty simple. Just
configure the project to close when it ends (Edit >
Preferences... > Project node > Start and End node). Then
make the last slide pretty short. Configure your button to point to
the last slide.

[Android] Prev button and close button in lock mode

Hi Some improvements about the user interface on android devices
When my mobile is blocked (Spotify running in the background ) there is not a prev button, only next button .
Some times I want to listen a song again so I have to unlock my phone in order to do this, which is a little annoying.Another thing is the next button, it's next to the close button , some times I try to listen the next song and by mistake I ended up closing the app.
So my suggestion is to put the prev button and move the close button to the other side of the widget.

OVS valuehelp close button

Hello!
Is it possible to add a close button to the popup window that appears for the OVS value help? I think its a big usability issue in case I don't want to select an entry from the query result table and just want the window to disappear.
By what means can the OVS popup be adapted for our customers needs?

Sadly, it is impossible in current version of WD for Java. This issue was discussed previously, still this functionality is not available, I've added an entry to enhancements wish list on this forum (see Re: POLL: Web Dynpro UI elements - enhancement proposals last item)
For now you the only option is to explain customers that they have to click outside OVS pop-over.

Move the call button

Is it possible to move the call button to another place? It happens often that when I press the back button on my phone I accidentally hit the call button instead.

You need to hard reset your device and then in your computer remove or delete the PhoneCallDB in the backup folder inside your username folder (this will delete your call logs). Perform hotsync use an existing username.
location for the username folder:
if your using Palm Desktop 4.1 or 4.2 c:\programfiles\palm or palmOne\your username folder
for Palm Desktop 6.2 :my documents\palm OS desktop\your username folder

Unexpected performance of Firefox in Windows 7, namely minimize/maximize/close buttons not working and unable to move/resize window.

I have been using FF for a while now. My main computer was WinXP-32, though I recently bought a new laptop with Win7-64 installed. This problem was never experienced on my WinXP machine.
Brief description of problem:
After a time of having FF up and running, the minimize/maximize/restore/close buttons in the top-right no longer work as expected and, if not maximised, I cannot move the window around my desktop nor resize the browser window. When clicked, the buttons will
rapidly flash on and off continuously without appearing to perform any noticeable function other than temporarily hogging CPU cycles. I've found that clicking (sometimes double clicking) in the main browser window then mousing over the buttons again seems
to stop them flashing, though does nothing else.
To minimize/maximize/restore/move/close the window(s), I have to right-click on the relevant tab in my taskbar and pick the desired option. Occasionally, however, even this doesn't work and the right-click menu will disappear as soon as I move the mouse
over it after right-clicking. 'Show desktop' is a temporary fix for minimising windows and 'ALT + F4' or 'CTRL + W' for closing windows or tabs. This isn't satisfactory and to move or resize a window, I have to close the window in question (sometimes all other
windows too), reopen it and do what I need to do, though sometimes even this is only a very short fix. If I have to close all the windows, FF will sometimes keep running for a while afterwards, even though no windows are actually open - simply ending the process
via the windows task manager will fix this though is only a work-around, not a fix.
One thing I have noticed is that if I manage to move the browser window (when not maximised), for a short period afterwards I can often resize the window successfully. This is more likely to occur if the browser window is not flush with the edge of my screen
once moved.
I've tried to include as much information as I can - most of which was determined after several minutes/hours of playing around with different scenarios, trying to manually reproduce particular problems or simply through sheer luck of happening to click
in the right place at the right time! I hope there is a reasonably fix for this at some point in the not-too-distant future.
I noticed in some of the threads at another site where people have voiced problems similar to mine, that a link to 'ObjectDock' was discovered in some cases. I do have 'ObjectDock 1.90 Plus' installed on my machine and use it in many ways and so decided
to see if I could find a connection between the two. I have uninstalled, tested, and reinstalled both programs in a multitude of ways, though could find no conclusive correlation between having both bits of software running or installed at the same time and
the problems I am experiencing. In my case, at least, this does not appear to be an answer.
Also, in another thread on this site, someone suggested there might be a link with AVG Anti-Virus Free (I have version 9.0.819) though I've tried uninstalling it and its various add-ons in several different combinations, with no noticeable improvement.

You can also check if the issue occurs in
Clean Boot. If the issue disappears in the Clean Boot environment, you can continue to narrow down which entry is causing the issue.
Besides, uninstall it and re-download
a fresh copy of FireFox to check the result. If the issue still exists, create a new user account to see if it occurs.
If the issue persists, you can contact Mozilla Support directly and use Internet Explorer (IE) during the time.

Is it possible to change the size of the 'Close' button in Full Screen viewing mode?

I am currently using Firefox for a kiosk type scenario. We require that the browser run full screen. The issue is that the 'Close' button is not large enough for users to consistently see, so they're having issues figuring out how to close an active browser window.
Can anyone tell me if it's possible to change this icon? I've tried using themes, but they tend to theme everything but the close button.

I am looking for EPCF Events for Item Details iView. I am able to show the record in this iview by selectIdHandler. Now, i want to clear the iView content - the functionality when we click 'Close' button.

Have you discovered how to trigger any of those events? I'm having a similar issue.
I need when I open the record to have it in Edit mode already, not to click the Edit button in order to get there.

How to relocate the Minimize, Maximize and Close buttons on the window

I am a right-hand user, and would prefer if all my Minimize, Maximize and Close buttons on the window are relocated to the right hand side of the window. Anyone got any suggestion to do it ?

This is just something you end up getting used to, at least it was the case for me.
It is not possible to move this, without the help of third-party software.
ShapeShifter is offers customisation of the look of the Windows, but I don't know if it can move the buttons.
