That is very strange... I wonder if it has something to do with the firmware or some sort of error. I haven't ran into this but at the shop I work at I've ran into several firmware errors on iPhone 4 all the way through the 5s. Maybe its something as simple as putting a different part of the code into iTunes... I know you can something of this extent. I would look up error 1669, I know you have tried a number of things but look it up on the forum and see what fixes are available so that you may be able to restore it properly without all this garbage you are running into. Just a thought for you.

You can't delete an existing account, you can only choose to stop using it. It will still be there should you decide to use it again in the future.

My mother and brother made the mistake to connect both their iPhones to the same Apple-id, so a problem came up: All iMessages sent and received from one iPhone are also seen and saved on the other iPhone. Contacts disappear on iphone 4s but still exist in my icloud account.
I'm trying to get my contacts back to my phone after they suddenly disappeared. have done the following to help try resolve the problem:
1. Turn contacts on/off in my icloud settings.
2. Delete my account from my phone and log back in.
3. Tried to make icloud my default account but that option does not exist anymore...don't know what happend to it.
4. Plug my phone in and connect wirelessly to see if anything syncs.
None of these have worked, any other possible solutions?I am having this issue too.. anyone got any solution? I tried things but nothing is working.

im not sure why only a few of my contacts have been synced and not everyone? How do i sync all contacts from my iphone to my ipad? I have synced my phone with Itunes on my laptop.
It's a good idea to backup your Mac Address Book application and iCal Calendars application from each application. This way you can go back and pull out items if you lose something. I do this everyday.

My young kids have ipads and since I updated the software, but they have their own icloud account, predictive text within their messages shows all my contacts from my iphone but the contacts are not listed as their contacts, how do I stop this?
I have deleted the iCloud account under my name on their iPads and replaced with their ones. Apple support said yesterday I needed to click the small 'I' by each name as it came up in the TO box and remove it. After doing rid for each contact under each letter of the alphabet it should remove them from latest contacts. Having done this, although I could not remove groups I had sent, I am not convinced they will not return once I have written a few texts, any ideas?

To transfer your data and settings to a new device see http://support.apple.com/kb/ht2109. You can also use an app like My Contacts Backup to back up the contacts on your phone as attachment to an email that you send to yourself. If you need to, you can later open this email on your new phone and tap the attachment to import your contacts.

The problem is that all services are bundled with your Apple ID ([email protected]):
Your iCloud account (Mail, Contacts, Calendars, Reminders, Notes, Backups, etc.),
also iTunes & App Store purchases (Music, Movies, TV Shows, etc.),
and the iTunes Match services.
(I guess that all your devices - yours and your wife's are connected to one iTunes library, right?)
If you want that your wife gets her own iCloud account for Mail, Contacts, Calendars, etc. but gets also access to your media then you have two set up two things on her device:
iCloud (Settings > iCloud) with her account (e.g. [email protected])
and
iTunes & App Stores (Settings > iTunes & App Stores) with your account (e.g. [email protected]).
In this case she gets access to your library and could use the same iTunes Match account.
