Is it possible to not pay ATT if I stopped using service after buying iPhon

I would like to buy iPhone 3Gs and I don't mind subscribing to ATT, but my concern is:
What if I didn't like iPhone & neither ATT service after buying it, *is it possible just to stop using both of them (iPhone & ATT) or I'll have to pay for 2 years no matter what happens?*
Its logical that if I didn't pay after 4-5 months, they can stop the service & iPhone will get locked again and that's all, isn't it?

You can return an iPhone for payment credit within 30 days after the purchase date - less a 10% restocking fee, and cancel the contract with AT&T within the same time frame with no early contract termination fee charged by AT&T. If you cancel the contract after the initial 30 days, you will be charged an early contract termination fee by AT&T and you keep the iPhone. The iPhone will remain carrier locked with AT&T, and unless the iPhone remains activated with AT&T, you have no warranty coverage. The iPhone includes a one year warranty.
If you don't pay after 4-5 months and you ignore being contacted by AT&T about your past due balance, your service will be cancelled, AT&T would eventually turn this over to a collection agency, this would be reported to credit bureaus affecting your credit history. Go to get service with another carrier with a subsidized phone, and you will likely be forced to pay a deposit before being granted credit again with a post-paid account.
The iPhone is sold in the U.S. as carrier locked with AT&T only, and remains carrier locked with AT&T regardless if the iPhone remains activated with AT&T or not.

    Initially PowerPivot wasn't working either but that got resolved after re-installing the rssharepoint and sppowerpivot msi files. Has anyone faced this issue?

    According to your description, my understanding is that the PowerView not work after installing the November CU Updates.
    I check the November CU updates, it have no affects on the PowerView or PowerPivot.
    The reason for this issue may occur when the PowerPivot Service Application is not running after installing the CU updates.

  • Not able to log-on workspace/shared services after new inst thru index.jsp

    Dear Specialist Team,
    I m Kalyan, new to HFM product installation. I have completed successful EPM installation with the help of user guides from Oracle.
    Installed on my local machine, able to work on Planning / Essbase Admin server, but not able to log-on to workspace and shared services on the local host link.
    Checked many things like Services running properly, Diagnostics report. All are positive. Using IIS 7.
    I m able to see this link "*http://localhost:9000/workspace*/", when I click on the Launch Application a blank window gets opened on Popup and nothing is visible it says loading for long time on this link "*localhost:9000/workspace/index.jsp*".
    Tried using different browsers, but unlucky. Is there anything I m missing with java or browser or something else?
    Please help me to sort this, so that I can log-on and proceed with application usage.

    John's support document related to the browser settings is the best, however if you do not have access to support document or are using Firefox you can try installing an add on found at -->
    https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/remote-xul-manager/
    and restart Firefox...
    Once the browser is restarted..you can find the add on at Firefox --> Web Developer --> Remote XUL Manager
    Add the URL, that you are using to access workspace and try to load it. If everything is good, you should be able to see workspace/shared service page.

  • Is it possible to pre-configure the iPad keyboard settings using Apple Configurator or iPhone Configuration Utilitity?

    I have to configure 20+ iPads for events that are sometimes in French, sometimes in English, sometimes both. It is important that I can preset the keyboard settings to allow multiple languages (for example). I've been looking in Apple Configurator and iPhone Configuration Utility, and I can't find where I can set that kind of settings during deployment.
    Is there a way I can manage all the settings of the iPads without having to go through each iPad to make sure the settings are ok for my event?

    Order Management provides you with the ability to import ATO and PTO configurations from legacy systems or EDI. In your case, you should define the ATO/PTO model first and then import the order and configuration selections from the EDI.
    The order import will let you create an Order even if the selections are invalid.
    You should then programmatic book and progress the order (using Order actions api).
    If the configuration is valid, then the API will generate a * number (ATO item), create bom/routing as appropriate and place that item on the sales order.
    If the configuration is invalid, it won't let you book the order. Once you have fixed the invalid selections/configurations, you will be able to book and progress the order.

    iPhone supports A2DP audio streaming. If you have it paired to a handsfree kit that supports this, for example, an in car audio system, and are currently tuned to a source other than the phone, the phone will send the audio for things like text message alerts to the handsfree system, but you will not hear them. This is just the nature of the beast. If you do not intend to use audio streaming from the phone, you may be able to disable this in the in car system. This should not affect Bluetooth calling. There is no option to disable this on the phone itself.

    I understand that the OP failed to do research. But then, I wasn't replying to the OP. I was replying to Chris. I have Verizon. I can talk and use data at the same time with my Droid Maxx. Therefore, the problem is not just with the network. It would be technically possible for an iPhone to do that on Verizon/Sprint if Apple had chosen to use a different chip, such as the kind other phone manufacturers have elected to use.
    Of course, this is probably all irrelevant to the OP's issue. It was merely a point of clarification, especially for those people who are used to being able to use both voice and data at the same time on Verizon. When they switch to an iPhone, they are often surprized at the limitation.

    i bought some books about automotive engines by TSD training. A total of 3 books.
    Earlier i was browsing the iBooks App Store and noticed these books were now part of a 14 course mechanics collection of books.
    I wanted to buy the remaining 11 courses (iBooks) in this collection thinking I could just "complete my album" per say as you can when purchasing a collection of music on a given album but it seems I do not have this option. Will I have to pay for these 3 books again if I buy the collection? is there a way around this? Can I choose only the remaining books I need?  Any help is appreciated. Thanks in advance

  • I followed Uverse's instructions and they canceled my account. Not Paying My Bill!

    I sold my house in late Feb '15.  I talked to the Transfer people and siad we were buying a new house and to confirm Uverse service was available, and it was.  i told them we are doing extensive renovations to the house and it could be a number of months before we could move in.  That was fine and they told me to pack my equipment and when we mo0ved in to call and they would hook us back up.  I had monthly, and sometime bi-weekly, calls from them checking on our progress.  They even sent a person out to look at the house to see if it was wired properly.  Then shortly after that, I found out ATT had terminated my account and demanded that I return their equipment.  It seems teh people that bought our house requested Uverse service, no doubt due to my recommendation, and they terminated mine, even thjough it was suspended while my new house was under contruction.  The woman I spoke with was rude, and wouldn't let me speak to a supervisor or someone that had any authority.  It sounds like some kind of screwed up ATT system that they can't suspend an account to a new address and still had my old address on the account, even though they knew all along I didn't live there.  They bill my phone top the new address.  I had changed my online address to the new one, but that didn't matter.  What's more rediculous is that ATT told me to store my equipment.  It's locked up in a warehouse in a couple of 20' pods.  I couldn't get it f I wanted to and I don't.  I follwed every step the ATT people told me to.  I told them everything I was doing and how long iot would take.  And out of the clear Blue the terminate my account and charge me like $700 for the equipment.  I'll be glad to return the equipment when i unpack those pods, and I'll be glad to get Comcast TV and Internet.  I'm sorry I bought an ATT cell phone, but those are easy to change.  This is so screwed up that it's almost sureal.  I do what they ask to the letter, and then they blindside me with this.  Valued Customer . . . Yea!  No they treat you like a criminal.  That's AT&T for you.  And, I will not pay that $700.  I'll go to court over it, if nothing more than the principal of the thing.  This is wrong on so many fronts I can't begin to understand it.  I wonder if others have had this same experience?  And, I recommended AT&T to my home buyer.  That makes me look stupid.  And, maybe I was to get involved with AT&T in the first place.

    I'm sorry, but Apple does not provide a downgrade path for iOS. Because downgrading is unsupported by Apple we cannot discuss it on these forums, but you can use Google to find information on how to install an older version of iOS on any iDevice.

    No, the camera connection kit only supports the copying of photos and videos to the Photos app, it doesn't support copying content off the iPad. For your second camera instead of the SD reader part of the kit, does the iPad to camera cable not work with it for direct transfer to the iPad ?
    For Lightroom and Nikon software again no - you can only install apps that are available in the iTunes app store on your computer and the App Store app on the iPad, 'normal' PC and Mac (OS X) software are not compatible with the iPad (iOS). There are some apps that perform fairly basic editing functions that are available in the store, but nothing as sophisticated as, for example, Lightroom.

    If you were instructed to call them, then that's what you should do. They will probably need to verify your identity before helping you with the security question.
