Is it possible to omit year fom birthday?

I would like to include the birthdays of everyone here in my office. In other words, month and day.
Some people will not want to have their birth year posted, and having iCal automatically append the current year is annoying( I can already hear the lame jokes arising from having everyones birth year be 2006. )
Does anyone know how to stop iCal from appending a year to the birthday?
From searching around the web and the help features it does not seem to be possible. If so, please anyone out there that has contacts with the developers of iCal, please let them know. I am sure I am not the only one who finds this feature to be annoying.

I currently use iCal to manage a student birthday list for our school and I don't include years (for security purposes). I created a calendar for the birthdays, add an event for each student, click on the "all-day" check box and then make it a repeating event each year. The only year that will appear is the year in which the event was created.
Rest assured that I didn't add all 500+ studenst individually. If you're interested I'll explain the process for batch importing lots of names.

If you enter someone's birthday in Contacts, it will show up in the Calendar as a recurring event.
If you don't want to do that, you can change the existing event into one that recurs every year on the same date.

No posting possible in fiscal year 2015

I am getting below pasted error while performing AFAB (Depreciation Run). This is the first time we are running the depreciation in the production system. We did not encounter this error in quality or development. This is a gap implementation project, where in FI-AA was not implemented earlier. But all the GL accounts related to Asset GL, Accumulated Dep GL and Depreciation GL were created and has been in use till date since 2005!!. And client has been acquiring assets manually, posted depreciation manually. So I have reused the same GL accounts during our implementation as per client's requirement.
I have closed all the previous period and opened the new fiscal year up to 2015 (From 1st August 2014 new fiscal year starts i.e 2015).
Kindly help.

How do I adjust my titles so they don't fade in and out? I have hundreds of photos/videos on screen for a second or so each, for a year-long birthday video, and I need the dates in my titles to be steady rather than fading in and out spastically.

I have been working on a project since December of 2012 for my son's first birthday. Basically, it's a photo or quick video each day of his life so far. I used the "upper" title and made the titles not fade in and out, because that could give someone a seizure. The idea is a seamless title that ticks away each day. But in the new iMovie, it changed my settings, and I can't for the life of me find how to change them back.
Now, each date flashes in and out, in and out, in and out. Fractions of seconds go by. It's really distracting and annoying.
How do I get the titles to remain on screen and not fade in and out? I had it just how I wanted it, but now we're rapidly approaching my son's birthday, and the video is suddenly a mess.
How do I fix this?

I am working with the very same concept for my project and the auto fade in and out has messed everything up. If I hear or a fix I'll be sure to reply here to let you know!

For what it's worth, you posted this in 2011, and here in 2014 I am still having this same issue. Over the last two days, I have had to unlock my apple account 8 times. I didn't get any new devices. I haven't initiated a password reset. I didn't forget my password. I set up two factor authentication and have been able to do the unlocking with the key and using a code sent to one of my devices.
That all works.
It's this having to unlock my account every time I go to use any of my devices. And I have many: iMac, iPad, iPad2, iPad mini, iPhone 5s, iPod touch (daughter), and my old iPhone 4 being used as an ipod touch now. They are all synced, and all was working just fine.
I have initiated an incident with Apple (again) but I know they are just going to suggest I change my Apple ID. It's a simple one, and one that I am sure others think is theirs. I don't want to change it. I shouldn't have to. Apple should be able to tell me who is trying to use it, or at least from where.

It's possible to have multiple fiscal years in HFM application?

We have some entities with fiscal year from January to December but others adopt the USA fiscal year.
I want to know if it's possible both fiscal year in the same application and how it works?

HFM is not designed to have mutliple fiscal years, I would suggest you can create new applications.

I have Windows OS and iTunes for PC, but the problem is not in my PC, but in synchronization. Your synchronization take minute or two, you have thunderbolt lightning cable??? If is it by you really so quick than ok but by me is it with sync really slow and I have still powerhouse notebook.
I dont know how is it possible that your sync is so quick, but my iPhone starts transfering purchased aplications and all content to the PC, instead of downloading it PC itself without iPhone from iStore. So there is what happend when I am conecting my iPhone.
When it find my iPhone on the first try, it starts makeing backup, than transfering photos, aplication, some info from Safari and to the end also the MUSIC...this should be improved by Apple and it should be able to sync just MUSIC section and not whole system, when I changed just something in MUSIC section(like adding new CD..)
So it does on PC whole resync Maybe is it somewhere in options, but where? I really want sync sometimes just MUSIC or just Apps and nothing else(like Photos, Bookmarks...)

Change fiscal year to 2006 in Asset Management : error in year-end closing

Transaction Codes used: Year-end closing AJAB, Fiscal year change AJRW
We are trying to change the fiscal year to 2006 in Asset Management.
I tried to change the fiscal year to 2006 for the company code 0055 using transaction code AJRW. The test run has displayed an error message Fiscal year change in co. code 0055 1 possible only after year-end closing 2004 2.
I have used the transaction code OAAQ to find the out the fiscal year, the closing for depreciation area is successfully performed.
Unfortunately it is still showing 2003 which should have been 2004 for company code 0055.
I tried to close the fiscal year 2004. The test run has completed successfully. I have scheduled the RAJABS00. The program has executed successfully with no errors or warnings.
The closing for depreciation area (Transaction OAAQ) is still showing 2003 for company code 0055, which should have been changed to 2004.
I am new to Asset Management. Can you please give some suggestions on how to fix the problem and change the fiscal year to 2006.

I have used transaction OAAR to check if any area is still open for previous years.
Surprisingly! The areas are closed only till 2003.
Can you please let me know what to do (transaction codes - programs) to close the areas for fiscal year 2004.
I am new to Asset Management. I think you are good in Asset Management. Can you please give some suggestions on how to close the fiscal year 2004.
Can you please let me know if I have to run any other transactions other than closing the areas before running the transaction to close the fiscal year 2004.

Assets Year-end closing

One of our group companies are facing the issue below.
*. When trying to run any asset transaction the error message "Fiscal year change in co.code J002 possible only after year-end closing 2008" . We are currently in 2010 in financial accounting.
AJRW -Change to new FY 2009 was successful, but for 2010 the same error msg above is displayed.
*AJAB -FY close
- 2008 : The planned depreciation was not completely posted to Financial Accounting for asset 000000300090-0000 in company code J002 in depreciation area 01.
When I check AW01N, there is a planned depreciation amount for 2008 period 12. However, depreciation has been completed for 2009. If I try to a repeat run for 2008 in test mode there is a value coming up. The issue is posting periods are close. Current financial period is in 2010.
Your assistance is greatly appreciated.

The following are the important steps you must keep in mind while closing asset accounting.
1. Recalculate all asset values AFAR
2. Run program RAUNVA00
3. Run program RAANLA01
4. If you find any unposted assets in step 3 delete them if you do not want in AS06 / AS26 (group assets)
5. Update your insurance index OAV5 (if necessary)
6. Run your regular month end closing process.
7. Reconcile FI-AA with GL accounting - transaction code ABST
8. AJRW - Fiscal Year change
9. AJAB - Close fiscal year
10. reopen the fiscal year OAAQ (if only necessary)
11. Perform all year end closing steps.

Asset - Year End Closing Error

Hi experts,
My company new fiscal year started 01.04.2008. I have done these and error
1- AJRW - New fiscal year = 2008
Error - Fiscal year change in co code possible only after year end closing 2006
2- AJAB - Fiscal year to close = 2007
Error - Close fiscal year 2006 for company code first
3- OAAQ - 2005
How am I suppose to make it success to year 2008?

Hi
As per the AA functionality it allows u to keep open 2 financial years at a time.
as u said in oaaq its showing 2005. that means in your system
2005 is the last closed fiscal year.
so it implies that 2006 and 2007 is still open.
now when u try to open 2008 it wont allow. it expects from you to close the year 2006 first.
for closing 2006 you need to check whether depreciation is posted for all periods and there are no more adjustment left.
than go to AJAB and close year 2006 first. without closing 2006 it wont allow you to close 2007.
After closing 2006 u can go and open 2008 without closing 2007 also if u wish...

Keep files from first of the month for a year

We have a series of folders with subfolders that have logfiles in them. Each folder has new log files generated daily. However on occasion, a log file is not generated for a day or for a few days.
I want to keep the log file in each folder for the first of each month, or as close to the day as possible for a year and delete all files older than a year. I also want to delete all files in that folder that are not from the first of the month.
So, on August 30, 2014 Folder 1 may have log files from each day in August except for August 1. When I run my script on September 1, I want the folder to have files:
August 02, 2014.log
July 01, 2014.log
June 01, 2014.log
If the first log file is August 5th, then I want to keep that one and delete the rest.
I currently have 30+ folders that get daily log files. It takes a long time to go into each folder, see which log is closest to the beginning of the month, delete the remaining files from that month, then find the log files from over a year ago and delete
that one.
Ive tried a few iterations but, keep getting stuck. Any help would be appreciated.

I have been looking at those. One of the problems Ive had is with the date/time format.
For instance, if I issue
$testDate=$(Get-Date).addDays(-$(Get-Date).Day).addMonths(-3)
$testdate gets set to Saturday, May 31, 2014 12:51:59
When I look for files based on 5/31/2014 it doesn't match because there are no files created at 12:51:59

Omit picture on User Business Card

Hi all
Does any of you know if it is possible to omit the default picture (nophoto.jpg) on the UserBusinessCard through KM configuration? I know that I can just make a white .jpg-picture and overwrite the existing nophoto.jpg in com.sap.netweaver.kmc.people.PeopleDetails, but I would much rather configure my way out of this.
Perhaps I can enter some configuration data in Knowledge Management > Collaboration > Properties > Link Command > PeopleDetailsLink?
Any help is greatly appreciated.

Sure. Here is the original layout for the card.
I saved this and then created a letter sized layout, and placed it. I then duplicated it several time to create a layout like this. But my data field disappeared and even the frame that contained it has gone.
So I tried to do this
With the hope I would be able to access the image frame and replace the image with a data field name. But that is not working either.

maybe your column name is wrong? Is it really A_somthing? This is possible but slightly unusual.
