Is it possible to optimize a customized report painter?

Hi Experts,
Is it possible to optimize a report painter? How?
It's too risky too edit the codes since all of the programs are SAP Standard programs. I already added indices in to the customized tables. But still it takes me 12 minutes to excute this report painter.
I tried to debug the codes there are several and nested perform routines inside the loop.Have you tried modifying a report painter program?
Thanks. Points will be given...

Hi,
You can modify Standard report painter programs, but ideally SAP doesnt recommend it.
SAP has provided Notes for any add-on functionality or to fix bugs.
Please search for a sap note on www.service.sap.com

  • Is it possible to transport ABAP querys/ Report painter between systems

    Hi all
Is it possible to transport ABAP querys/ Report painter object between one r/3 system and another ?

    Hi,
Its possible to transport SAP Query (Global Area). When you save the infoset it will ask you to the request id for transport
For SAP Queries in Standard area, there is a transport icon in the SQ02 screen which would transport it to required destinations

  • Custom report toshow the "Last Logon User Name"

Is it possible to create a custom report to display the "Last Logon User Name" field that appears in the Properties of each computer object ?

Yes, download the RDL file and modify the report. If the user name is not in one of the current datasets, then you have to add it first.

  • Custom Reports privileges

Hi, I would like to give access to a non-admin role the possibility to check a custom report (report type: Customers and Email Marketing ). The problem is that it tells me that there is no enough privileges to see the results (however this role can change the reports) see error image:
What permisions do I have to give to this role to see the results?
I've already given the "Campaign & Lists" and "Affiliate Marketing" privileges that are below the E-Mail Marketing section.
Thank you very much in advance!

Does the current web service use BOE security rights (reports managed in boe) or are the rights different (filesystem)?
If the security rights stored in the DB match up with rights set in BOE, then it should work fine with CR Server as well.  It might help if you could provide an example of what rights are retrieved from the DB and how they are currently applied to reports along with what extra information needed.  Also is this app a web service app (dsws sdk) or a web app (BOE Platform SDK)
BTW.; for this issue, I'd highly recommend creating a phone incident. This just has a feel of one of those issues that will be difficult to resolve in a forum.

  • Report Painter insert blank line after report header

    Hi Expert,
I have a problem to insert a blank line (a spacing) after the report header of my customized report painter.
For example, in standard cost center report, S_ALR_87013611, there is a small box listed information like cost center/group ... and reporting period.
Right after reporting period, the report header box ends, and there is a space line between it and the cost element data ...
For my customized report painter, I cannot make this space line.
I tried edit > row > insert blank line ... but not successful ... kindly advise.
    Thanks and regards,
    -CK

    Hi
In KKO2 go to output tab, here under layout, tick header and then press pencil symbol and in the editor you write your header. I think this will give you desired result.

  • Including Second Local currency in Report Painter

    Hi there,
My client is using parallel currency and their LC2 is USD.  I am trying to create a Cost centre report using report painter and want to add LC2 amounts in this report.
Is it possible to add LC2 using report painter?
The following is some additional info:
    CO Area currency = SGD
    Op. Concern currency = SGD
Would appreciate if you could help me with this.  Thanks in advance.
    Regards
    RG

    Hi,
I think that it may not be possible. Hence the thread has not attracted much. The controlling reports are available either in Controlling area currency and object currency which is a company currency. Then there is no question of getting report in Local currency 2. You can try in ABAP report by having a selection of L2 currency and its translation ratio.
Trust this helps much in getting right solution!
    Cheers!

  • Report Painter in Background??

How do you pass parameters or a variant to this FM (crif_rw_web_call_report)?
I want to run a nightly job that executes a custom report painter report (with a selected variant or parameters) and dumps that data to a file.
Edited by: Daniel Simpson on Nov 24, 2008 7:39 PM

I realized that I can run report painter in background & export to file on the app server by going to the report selection screen and selecting the "output parameters" button & configuring the report from there.
I would however, still like to learn how to execute the FM ( CRIF_RW_WEB_CALL_REPORT ) to bring the report painter data into internal tables.

  • Is it Possible to Create Custom Report in SOLMAN

    Hi Experts,
I am new to SOLMAN. I have one question. Is it Possible to create our own custom Reports in SOLMAN. If possible
tell me the variuos types of reports and how we can create.

    Hi
SAP Solution Manager can be used for entire ALM so you need to clearly specify which area and what report you are talking about
    http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/alm-getting-started
General transaction code for reporting is
    SOLAR_EVAL
it helps you to build the entire project report phase wise or for service desk or for charms or test management etc
check if that you are looking for.

  • Possible to publish and schedule custom reports in DPM console?

    Hello
I've made a slight adjustment to the Tape Management (MediaDetails) report using Report Builder and saved it to the report server creatively named MediaDetails2.
It does not show up in the DPM console, Is this possible?
I would also like to schedule this Report to be sent via email at a regular intervals just like the built-in reports.
    DPM 2012 R2 UR4
    Thanks

    Hi
I don't think it's possible to have it show up on the DPM console, however you can subscribe to the report and have it mailed like other DPM reports.

Feild status at entry time looks for the following combination
    S- Supressed
    D- Display
    R- Required
    O- Optional
System looks for this above combination at first in Posting Key and then in FSV of account which we enter. For this partical purpose the the feilds in posting key are kept optional.
