Is it possible to organize your music in iTunes Match into the same playlists on your iPhone?

I tried using iTunes Match, but the music is completely unorganized on my phone when I activate it.  Can I access my iTunes Match music in the same playlists as they are on my iPhone?  How?  Thanks gang!!!!

Yes.

Why cant I create a playlist for my music/song videos? Continuous play is also not possible in the video app on the phone!!!! previously, prior to IOS 6, it was possible to have both music videos & songs mixed in the same playlist in the music app

I am back with an update. I turned off Match on both the ipad and the iphone 5. By doing so I was able to sync my Iphone and ipad to itunes and store the music on my devices rather than the slow streaming.  So far this has fixed my problems with the iphone I have all my music, playlist, most of the album art and so on.  But the ipad is a different story.  I have the music and artist but not one playlist  I am sure Apple will have an upgrade soon that will address these issues they are usually very good about this.
Now have any of you experienced another problem that has existed as long as I have used faces in Aperture.
I have over 200 faces and they are organized a-z problem is I have this going on A-Z folowed by a few that start over A-Z followed by another few A-Z and again a 4th time A-Z.  Imagine how difficult it is while I am showing someone the great features of my iphone, ipad and imac.  Which I do talk highly of all the time.  But how do I explain that even though their name starts with a or b or what ever they are not important enough to me to be in the first list of A-Z or even the 2nd or 3rd list of A-Z someohow they are in the 4th section of the list!!!!
I have managed to get the Imac to fix this but for some reason the IOS devices do not.   Any ideas?
    Thanks Al

Does ITunes Match effect the space used on your ICloud? Being as though your songs are not actually being uploaded and your just  pulling content off of I tunes .

    Hello Karen,
Yes, enabling iTunes Match the current music library on the phone will be deleted.
From: iTunes: How to add a computer or iOS device to iTunes Match
              http://support.apple.com/kb/ht4913
When enabling iTunes Match on your iOS device, the music library on your iOS device will be deleted and then replaced with your music in iCloud.
The music is stored on the cloud and streamed to your device unless you choose to download it on the phone.
Here is some additional info on how it works:

    All the very best,

  • Can you share music between iTunes accounts on the same computer

Can you share music between iTunes accounts on the same computer? My kids iPods are under my account now with all of our shared music but they want their own iTunes accounts. I would like to transfer the music and apps that they purchased under my account to their new accounts... Is this posible?

Did you enable the display of system files and hidden files and folders?
by the way, how can i stop this from happening another time.
    Make a backup!
i had music there for over 6 years.
Well you must have updated iTunes once or twice in that time. Do you have some sort of "tidying" app that is supposed to clean "unnecessary" files. If so perhaps it is too aggressive.

  • HT4914 Can you shuffle your music with iTunes Match

If I use iTunes Match can I just shuffle?

    Hi Gee-go,
Yes.  I just wanted to double-check, since there are several audio and video formats that go by the name of MPEG (since they are based on specifications from the Motion Pictures Expert Group), but the one iTunes calls "MPEG audio file" is indeed MP3.
If you subscribe to Match, it will attempt to match songs (MP3 or other format) in your library with Store AAC/256 versions of the same song.  Match does not replace the version in your library, unless you manually remove the original from your library and download the matched version.
The 25k limit counts any songs in your library that were not purchased from the iTunes Store.

  • How do I put all of the music by one artist into the same "folder"?

When I put music onto my iPhone 4, it often shows up that the same artist will have many different entries in the phone's version of iTunes. E.g. Bob Dylan might have six different entries, with different albums (sometimes more than one) in each. This makes it difficult to put it on shuffle or just sort of listen to one artist all day without constantly fiddling with the phone.
Is there a way to combine all of these separate headers and make them all fit in one "folder" (for lack of a better term)?

Thanks! I discovered that my disconnect was that I was doing all of that, but AFTER I had already moved the untagged files onto my phone, which was set to manually synch music. I was trying to tag them on my pc and expecting the phone to catch that. Duh, of course it won't see changes made on the pc if it's set to manual! I went in and did it on the phone and it worked fine.
    Ty for the link!

  • Is it possible to have 2 accounts in itunes store with the same credit card number?

Just found out today that my credit card was used fraudulently worth $177.78  in ITUNES.
When i checked my itunes account, no such purchases were reflected.
So this means that the said purchase was made on another account,
    How could this be possible?

    Hi...
Contact your credit card company and ask that they block any further charges from Apple until the matter is resolved.
And if you have not already done so, change your Apple ID password ASAP >  How to change your Apple ID password
And you can report the problem to Apple here >  Apple - Support - iTunes Store - Contact Us

  • Is it possible for my phone and my Nano to share the same bluetooth device?  If so, does the music stop when receiving a phonecall?

This might be a totally dumb Q, but I am so tech challenged it is pitiful.  Is it possible for my phone and my Nano to share the same bluetooth device?  If so, does the music stop on the Nano when receiving a phonecall?

No, the BT protocol does not allow for an A2DP device to be simultaneously connected to two iOS devices.

  • TS2972 How do you move your music within itunes from your regular library to the homeshares library so that you can import it to your new computer?

How do you move your music within itunes from your regular library to the homeshares library so that you can import it to your new computer?

You do not have to move it as such. Here are the steps to setup HomeSharing
    1) Ctrl B to turn on the top menu
    2) File > Home Sharing > Create Home Share enter your apple id and password, click create
    3) repeat steps 1 and 2 for the other computer and create home share using the same apple id and password
On your new machine if you have turned on the left hand sidebar the Shared Library should be about halfway down like this.
Select the songs you want and click import at the bottom right. If you want all songs then I would select one song nad Ctrl A to select all
Finally if you have a lot of songs to transfer Switch off the wifi on the old computer. Leave the wifi on the new one. Connect with an ehternet network cable. The copying speed is way faster.
Click import and grab a coffee

  • HT204406 How do you transfer music from your ipod to itunes match?

How do you transfer music from your ipod to itunes match? I recently bought itunes match and it wont allow me to add songs from my ipod to the music library and match. Before I bought it, it would not allow me to transfer it either. After my purchase, I thought it would solve the problem but it did not. Any solutions?

  • HT4913 If the music library on my iPhone will be deleted when I enable iTunes Match, does that mean that I will not be able to access that music library when I temporarily turn off iTunes Match on the iPhone, e.g., when on the subway & can't connect to Ma

I have subscribed to iTunes Match and have employed it to listen to music on my Macbook Air and iMac.  On these devices it seems to operate by streaming music to the device rather than deleting the device's current iTunes library and downloading songs as they are played from iTunes Match. Not so on the iPhone as far as I can tell. Consequently, to date I have not activated iTunes Match on my iPhone 4S.  I presently have 40-50GB's of music on my iPhone, sync'd from my iTunes music library on my Macbook Air.  I am concerned that if I enable iTunes Match on my iPhone I will lose the music library already on my iPhone, as Apple seems to be representing that once iTunes Match is enabled on the iPhone the current music library, carefully compiled, will be gone from the iPhone forever (unless I later re-sync it from the iTunes library on my laptop), that it will be deleted.  Although this would free up a lot of space on my iPhone, I bought the 64GB phone just so that I could keep a lot of music on it and accessible at all times.  I am concerned that in certain instances, say if I am in the subway and want to listen to music on my iPhone but  don't have internet access below ground, that I won't have much music to listen to, only those songs previously played and thus downloaded onto the phone from iMatch, presenting me witrh a rather limited choice of music to play instead of the 40-50GB's I now have to choose from. Apple seems to have presented me with the choice of the lesser of 2 evils: i) enable iTunes Match and lose the music library already on the iPhone in exchange for access to iTunes Match and a greater number of songs than I can fit onto the phone (my library exceeds the phone's capacity) when a Cloud connection is available or ii) don't enable iTunes match and limit myself to only those songs, a considerable portion of my library to be sure but not all of it, that I can fit in the phone's storage space, i.e., the 40-50 GB's I have on there now.  If I choose the latter course, each time I purchase an album I'll have to delete another album to make room for it on the phone.  Apple thus offers me a sort of Hobson's choice, bad all the way around.  Do I have this right? The Apple techs I've spoken to don't seem to have a handle on the "deletion" aspect of enabling iTunes Match on the iPhone.   Right now, I'm too scared of "losing" my iPhone music library to enable iTunes Match on the iPhone. [Possible work-around, albeit a pain in the ***: I suppose that I can enable iTunes Match on the iPhone and spend the next couple of weeks 24/7 downloading songs from my iTunes Match library back onto the phone to replace at least some of those deleted when Match was enabled, thereby rebuilding a proxy library on the phone itself to play when I'm stuck in a tunnel between Brooklyn and Manhattan while maintaining access to thee larger iTunes Match library, more music than my phone will hold, once we come back into the light and my Cloud connection is restored.] Comments, suggestions will be appreciated. Thank you.

  • How can I move all my bookmarks from different Firefox profiles into one area to organize them and then place them into the different Firefox profiles?

How can I move all my bookmarks from different Firefox profiles (would like to move whole bookmark folders at once if possible) into one area to organize them and then place them into the different Firefox profiles? This is all under one window user account, I am using windows 8.1. Even if you have information on how to do it on a different windows, it may still be helpful. Thanks for any input you have.

Just a note about the difference between these two things:
    * "export" and "import" use an ancient HTML document format that all browsers can understand. When you import bookmarks, Firefox may place them into an Imported Bookmarks folder, or into Unsorted Bookmarks. This does not displace existing bookmarks, and Firefox does not automatically remove duplicates.
    * "backup" and "restore" use a more comprehensive JSON data file, which contains extra information about your bookmarks (such as tags) not contained in the traditional export file. HOWEVER, a restore completely replaces all existing bookmarks, so the restore feature cannot be used to merge in a set of additional bookmarks.
    Related support articles:
    * [[Export Firefox bookmarks to an HTML file to back up or transfer bookmarks]]
    * [[Import Bookmarks from a HTML file]]
    * [[Restore bookmarks from backup or move them to another computer]]
Some users find the disk-based Windows Favorites folder a convenient way to organize bookmarks. If you do, too, and you do not need to preserve tags on your bookmarks, you could export each profile's bookmarks to HTML and import them all into IE11. Organize them in the Windows Favorites folder, then export from IE11 to HTML and import that file into each Firefox profile. See: [http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/internet-explorer/add-view-organize-favorites].

  • How can I have podcasts and music in the same playlist in iOS7?

How can I create an iTunes playlist that contains both music and podcasts and export that playlist to my iPhone? This was once possible. If you download the "Podcast" app, podcasts can still be added  to iTunes playlist which you can listen to on your Mac. But when you sync that playlist to iPhone, it will omit all of the podcasts.
Previously, the workaround was not to download the Pocast app. That way, podcasts remained in iTunes where they could still exist in with music in the same playlist. But as of iOS7, you are required to install the "Podcasts" to be able listen to podcast at all. No more workaround.
Why does this matter? Some people, like me want to drive or exercise while listening to a mix of music and podcasts. Apple's "improvements" have restricted the way that I am able to use iTunes.
I can only think of these solutions:
Convert the podcast into AAC or other format. Then iTunes sees it as "music" and it will stay in the playlist. Cons: 1. Burdensome. 2. Removes the resume feature from the podcast.
Use a different iPhone app. Spotify lets you drag any track (even podcasts) into a playlist and they stay there when synced to the Spotify iPhone app. Cons: 1. Requires Spotify premium service to listen to playlists on iPhone. 2. The resume feature is removed. 3. Very difficult to forward and rewind. 4. Some podcasts are rejected by the Spotify playlist, although its rare. 5. After being imported, the tracked need to be synced to the phone via WiFi (as with all tracks that are not offered via Spotify.)
I am using the Spotify solution but am interested to know if there is an Apple solution. Or maybe I am the only one that wants to mix podcasts with music.

  • TS2972 is it possible to use home sharing between two users on the same computer?

My wife and I have itunes accounts and want to be able to share music we have each bought on our accounts. We have tried setting up the home sharing on our PC but it doesn't show up on the screen. Can anyone please help?

"Is it possible to use home sharing between two users on the same computer?"
No. Home sharing is used to connect two running instances of iTunes across a network. When you switch users on the computer all applications running on the other profile are suspended.
You can however share your respective media folders so that they are visible in either profile and then copy over any content that you want, or you could create a single joint library which you use when either user is logged in.
