Hi
Is it possible to packing .zxp file for only certain plug-in(.8bf file)?
Now, I install the binary of Filter Plug-in as a resource of Hybrid extension.
As you know, the extension panel and the filter menu command is provided as a result.
If I want to provide only the Filter menu command, Of course I'm not able to use the .zxp packages for installation system. Is this correct?
My development environment:
OSX 10.8
Photoshop CS6
Extension Manager CS6
Flash Builder 4.6

No, it is not. Worse, many people will view this in any old PDF viewer, most of which won't have overprint preview at all.
You need to send very clear instructions about this, with specific screen shots - or better, avoid tools and constructions that require it. Probably some wording about "need to view with suitable professional tools" will make the message more palatable.

P3d file for 3dformat plug-in

Hi,
Im a PS plug-in developer. I just downloaded CS4 SDK and tried to run a sample plug-in 3dformat (that is in folder Adobe Photoshop CS4 SDK\samplecode\format\3dformat), which should read *.p3d file and show up a 3D image. But no .p3d file is found in whole SDK package, so I couldnt see any results.
Id like to appreciate if anybody can let me know where I can get a .p3d file for this plug-in or what kind of application can create it. Any help would be most welcome!

Thanks for the info - but I am not in Photoshop. Rather I am in
Lightroom and running through several plug-ins from within Lightroom.
Each trip through a different plug-in creates another file. Photoshop
(usually) makes layers after applying a plugin - Lightroom makes files
which, if not deleted create clutter and confusion. For example -
Lightroom to plug-in NIK Dfine, new saved file; NIK Pre-sharpner, new
saved file; NIK Viveza, new saved file; Color Efex Pro, new saved
file; NIK output sharpner, another new file. Yes, they all get
different names, but I can be hard to figure out later which one is
the final product.

Can applescript search one file for non-matches in another file?

I'd like to know if it's possible for Applescript to do the following:
Take a text file with 600+ URLs and compare it to another text file with 100,000+ URLs and set out as a result any URL from the first small list that is NOT included in the second larger list?
If it is possible to do this, is there anyone out there willing to create such a script for a modest fee?

The error you get, the no such file or directory are you sure that the file exists? Looks like the file is called List and it is in your desktop?

I get "We can't verify who created this file" for every PPT or PPTX file I open on my local network (Win 7 only, not Win 8)

I've searched around, and perhaps I've missed it, but I have a specific problem that just started today (4/1/2014). I have 3 PCs in a local home network and they all have been sharing things fine so far. PC1 is my main storage computer (Windows
7), another is a laptop (Windows 7) and a third is a laptop (Windows 8.1).
On the Windows 7 laptop, when I open Windows Explorer and navigate my way to a file I want to open (which is stored on PC1) and double click on the file to open it USED to just open using the right program (PowerPoint2007) which I have fully installed on
the Win 7 laptop. Note also that "Microsoft Office (2010)" came pseudo-loaded on the laptop, but I have set the default for all PPT and PPTX files to be opened using PowerPoint2007. I've had a few hiccups in the past where this undesired,
not-fully-loaded version tries to get in the way of me opening files with PowerPoint2007, but right now all files are set to open using PowerPoint2007.
So I'm not going on the internet, I'm not using IE, and this is only happening with PPT and PPTX files and only on my Win 7 laptop. DOC/DOCX and XLS/XLSX files open fine with the 2007 version of the Word and Excel respectively. All files, including
the PPT and PPTX files on PC1 are openable without trouble on the Win8 laptop with PowerPoint2007.
Any idea why this would suddenly start happening?

How to get the .class file for the extended Controller .java file

I did the below steps.
1. Created New OAWorkspace
2. Created New project
3. Imported the page .xml file
4. Added new .java file by extending the controller class
5. Added code in the .java file.
6. Ran the .xml file
As I copied all the folders from Unix box, the page was opened.
But My question was where can I see the .class file the extended controller. It's a .java file. How to compile and get the .class file for this .java file. If I get this .class file, I can go to the page and click the personlize page. and change the Controller name to the new path by ftp ing the new class to the cust.oracle.apps.pos.changeorder.webiui.
Please let me know how to create the .class file.

All are Java files are stored in JDEV_INSTALL_DIR:\jdevhome\jdev\myprojects\
In your case the path java would be
JDEV_INSTALL_DIR:\jdevhome\jdev\ myprojects \cust\oracle\apps\pos\changeorder\webui\
AND
Once you compile the java file in Jdeveloper, Class files get generated @ below path
In your case the path of class would be
JDEV_INSTALL_DIR:\jdevhome\jdev\ myclasses \cust\oracle\apps\pos\changeorder\webui\

Unable to Attach file for list item using SP.File CopyTo Method

Requirement: I have a document library and list, the requirement is i need to take a document from document library and attach to list item in the list using CSOM only.
Followed technique: to achieve this requirement i followed below methodology

We are not allowed to use Visual Studio and the same thing we can use in JavaScript, but file stream takes path as one parameter which is physical location of your file system. When you use it some times users might not have access to the file system then
our code fails.

After all we do the recording to capture the xpath of the fields, so i thought of extracting xpath from a XML file will be a good idea.
Is there a way to do this?

Yes, there is. Go to the Tools menu -> Generate XPaths and load in your xml file. Select the element you are interested in and you will get the XPath to utilise.

I find that there is only some examples and not any help file with detail description for each input of those VIs. Although there is brief description for each VI when I press "Ctrl+H" on the VI,I still can't figure out how to use this driver. :-(
Is there any help files with more detail description?

The driver implements the commands defined by agilent.
So look in the agilent programmers manual to find the meaning and how to handle the instrument.

To generate .cab file for windows Mobile from .jar file

Hi All
I have a .jar file(running on windows Mobile With J9). Now I want to convert it into .cab file (again must be compatible with Windows Mobile with j9).
There are some tools available which can convert .jar to .cab file but resulting .cab file is not suppported by Windows Mobile with J9.
So can any one help me regarding this as soon as possible...

The CAB file is available as a part of the ZIP file i had mentioned in my previous posts...
Unzip that file. Then browse thro the folder structure to the Folder i had mentioned. You'll find the CAB files there.

Using Excel 14.3.7 to create a text file, for saving as a .csv file. Problems with commas.

I have created a text file in Excel, to be saved as a .csv file and uploaded to an online database. The file is rejected. When I open it in textedit I can see that the empty cells ( of which there are several in each row, all in the same columns) contain commas. It looked to me as though this could be the result of tabbing across empty cells. So I created a dummy file with a couple of lines where I tabbed across the whole row including the empty cells, and a couple of lines where I clicked in each individual cell in which I wanted to enter text. Opened in textedit there is no difference between the two type of entry. What can I do to stop Excel or .csv format entering commas in blank cells? Suggestions in simple English appreciated.

ISO FILE FOR WINDOWS BOOTABLE DISC - ISO FILE DOES NOT WORK

So I'm attempting at loading windows on my new iMac via Boot Camp, I've created the ISO file, and am trying to add it on boot camp and it simply doesn't work (even though my destination drive is MS FAT 32.

Please correct me if I am incorrect.. you are trying to make a bootable USB with a Windows File using Disk Utility to the use it to boot it with bootcamp? If that's the case i would advise creating the bootable device directly from the bootcamp app, and not from disk utility

File, Place only works with PDF files...why?

I create documents in Mac Pages that I want to then create an interactive PDF (mainly navigation). I am using the demo copy of Indesign to see if it fits the bill.
The mac pages doocument is a fully formated and ready for export to a static PDF. As a test, I took a few pages of it and exported it to pdf, word and rtf.
The only file format that InDesign would import/place is PDF (pages, word and rtf were all grayed out and could not be selected via ID place).
I had hoped that ID would inport/place pages directly, but I cannot seem to get it to import any format other than PDF.
I tried some other .doc files (actaully created with WORD) and they were selectable but only imported the table of contents (no red arrow an lower right of text box to continue place).
Any suggestions?

ID is certainly capable of placing RTF as well as native Word files (DOC and DOCX). What you're seeing is quite unusual.
Try trashing your preferences.
For the other DOC files, you need to hold down the shift key when click the page to place them.

It sounds like he simply wanted to select an element in one document and copied it over to another document.
One suggestion I can give: Step away from the computer every once in a while. It's not healthy to just sit there for hours on end. Get up for a few minutes every so often.

Option to always use sidecar files for XMP

Lightroom gives you the option to write metadata to XMP files, which is convenient if you want to share data with other programs (ACR, various DAM programs). In the beta versions, this data would always be stored in .XMP sidecar files, presumably for safety reasons. However, V1 writes the XMP data into the image file itself for those formats that support it (DNG, JPG, TIFF).
I would really like to have the option to *force* Lightroom to use sidecar files for XMP data, like the betas did. The current V1 behavior (embedding data) is quite inefficient for fairly common backup scenarios.
For example, I tend to back up all my raw files onto DVD after importing and culling. In addition I make a daily backup of all metadata that gets sent over the internet to a web server - a relatively small upload. What happens if I use DNG for my raw files and update something as small as a keyword? Indeed, *all* of the corresponding DNG files are modified, and because my backup software cannot know that only the XMP data has changed, all files must be burned to DVD again. If the metadata were stored in sidecar files, a simple, efficient metadata backup would take care of things.
To implement this, a simple switch in the preferences would suffice, and the necessary code is already there. The only possible problem is the occurrence of two files with identical names, excluding the extension. For this case, I can see four different 'solutions':
1) Force XMP metadata to be synchronized between files with equal names
2) Make an .XMP sidecar file for only one of the files (always the raw file, for example)
3) Update the XMP specification to specify what should be done in this situation (maybe include the file extension in the XMP data)

Actually, I don't (notice the 'if' :)). And this is only one of the reasons. I just picked DNG as an example, to keep things simple and because it seems Adobe wants DNG to work well for photographers.
However, the same applies to JPG and TIFF images. I often end up changing details in the metadata after the image has been finished. For example, to correct the spelling in a keyword that has been applied to half the images in my database... Talking about a nightmare scenario!
