Is it possible to place custom CIDX message other than standard CIDX SCom

Hi ,
Is it possible to place the custom CIDX message in any software component other than standard software component CIDX which SAP has provided.Is there any restriction for CIDX messages?

I have custom CIDX Message structure under standard SWC CIDX .when I applied Patch to this SWC ,the custom CIDX message structure has gone, only SAP provided CIDX message structures are available. So I would like to know can I have custom CIDX message structure in other SWC.

i found out how to do this finally!
1) set up google gmail account to forward your emails to (from the [email protected])
2) go to your gmail account
3) go to settings (cog in right hand corner)
4) go to 'accounts and import'
5) go to 'send mail as'
6) click 'Add another email address you own' - add your [email protected] address
7) google will send a verification email with code to that email address.
8) enter code
9) go back to gmail account >'send mail as' and select 'make default'
10) close mac 'mail' program and reopen it.
as long as you have gmail account selected as the primary account in MAIL - mail will now come throught as being sent from that [email protected] address!!

I'm using RTx, LabVIEW RT and LabVIEW FPGA.
The GUI is windows based. The motion control and FPGA are RTx based.
Is there any way to develop device drivers for the custom hardware in RTx. For example motion controller hardware, FPGA hardware, PCI hardware.
Is there a possibility to use custom FPGA boards to use with LabVIEW FPGA.

You are able to develop device drivers for your custom hardware using the NI Measurement Hardware Driver Development Kit.
However, it is not possible to use custom FPGA boards with LabVIEW FPGA. The FPGA boards have to be one of our R Series boards. Here are some links that should shed some light on the Measurement Hardware DDK.

Preview pane displays message other than highlighted in the mailbox list

After deleting some messages in my mailbox I've noticed that when I highlight a message, I sometimes see a completely different one in the preview pane (usually it's an earlier message a few days/dozens of messages old). The headers (date/sender/subject etc) in the preview pane do not match same fields in the highlighted line of mailbox contents (top pane in my case). When I double-click the message in the list to open it, it opens the window with a correct title (subject), correct sender's thumbnail image, but wrong headers and contents (same one that was previewed, not the one I want).
As a result I can't access some of the messages at all through mail.app - though I see they are there and luckily can still read them through mail web access. This only happens with a limited number of selected messages that I can't access permanently. I get about 50 messages a day, and so far have noticed this with 6 or 8.
Logging off/on, restarting mail.app and the system, emptying trash folders and similar routines don't seem to help.
Any clues?..

I'm a little surprised that you've ended up with duplicates. Those messages would have been there prior to re-indexing just that now you can see them. It suggests to me that something has happened some time ago with Mail which has resulted in the same messages being retrieved from the server a second time because it had lost the record of having retrieved them initially. Perhaps there has been some sort of failure with your Mac at the time it was downloading messages. Does that seem likely ???... The originals never got added to the index and now that you've rebuilt the index it has revealed them. No big deal as you say just the hassle of having to identify and delete them.

Is there any way to report on Custom Object 3 other than lists?

Looks like the answer is no but just wondering if anyone has come up with a brilliant work around. I guess the only chance is with Web Services, or is Custom Object 3 the red headed step child there as well?
I read in an earlier thread that R15 fix/patch may enable the ablity to report in analytics OD on the Custom Objects, any idea if Custom Object 3 will be included?
I wish the documentation pointed this out somewhere! It would have been nice to know before I created the Objects funtionality!

It is my understanding that the patch will be applied automatically for all customers. The patch will enable reporting on custom Objects 1, 2 & 3 and will have subject areas for Custom Object, Custom Object & Account, Custom Object & Opportunity, Custom Object & Contact, and Custom Object & Service Request.
(That is 5 subject areas per custom object for a total of 15 new subject areas!)

Why won't Apple update its iPAD to send messages other than imessages?

Why won't Apple update its iPAD to send messages to phones with systems other and OS? I just purchased an ipad4 for my husband. This limitation is very frustrating. When I purchased and ipad3, I was told how to make the message go through as an SMS; however, this never worked. Had it not been for the fact that my husband has an iphone5 and getting an ipad with the same operating sytem simplifies things for him, it may have been better to get an Android tablet and switch phones!

I understand that, but it does have a message system, so it makes sense that you should be able to receive ALL messages via this system. I do have a phone and I can get them all, but if I sit down at the ipad to check messages, I only get those sent through imessage. Sorry, I'm venting and you probably can't do anything about it. Apple needs to wake up and figure out that if it doesn't change its protocol on the ipad, then people will switch to another system that does. Hoping that someone from Apple sees this.

Any way to manage text messages other than individually on the phone?

In preparation for switching to a replacement phone, I'd like to go thru my older text messages and dump/delete the ones I no longer need. The only way I have been doing it so far is to go into each thread and manually delete each un-needed message. I have done a few text threads on the phone and it's very time consuming that way. If I could just delete the whole text thread, it would be easy & quicker, but there are some text messages in each thread that I need to hang onto.
Is there any sort of tool or utility that I can sort thru texts when plugged into my PC, and mark which to delete and which to keep?
As I said, it can be done on the phone, but it's very time intensive to go thru each message thread. I have to delete the un-needed messages one at a time.

Update 9.5.5 installation failed with no error message other than it failed

That's all I have to go on. tried to repair, received same Installation Failed.
Is there a way I can remove just the 9.5.5 update?

If this doesn't work, you can try these steps
Update Acrobat to its latest patch of 10.1.7 and Reader to 9.5.5 and then test the issue.
Navigate to where Acrobat or Adobe Reader is installed, usually C:\Program Files\Adobe\Acrobat 10.0\Acrobat\plug_ins or C:\Program Files\Adobe\Reader 10.0\Reader\plug_ins rename the Updater.api plug-in to Updater.api.old relaunch Acrobat or Reader and then test the issue.
Provide full permission to the Application Data folder and then test the issue. You can navigate to C:\Users\[USERNAME]\ location to get the AppData folder.
On Windows 7 and Vista platforms, verify the LocalLow directory exists at C:\Users\<user>\AppData with Read and Write permissions.

This password prompt is presented by your operating system, and is intended to keep you from accidentally installing software.
If this is your personal machine and you don't need a password to log into the computer when it first starts up, you can probably leave the password blank and click OK to get past this prompt. If this is your personal machine and your normal password isn't working, check to make sure that CAPS LOCK is off, and type the password carefully.
If this is your work machine and it's asking for an Administrator password, well, you'll need to have a conversation with your friendly IT person.

Just set up our Apple TV and it works fine for NetFlix. However want to stream photos and I Tune library from home computer but this computer accesses the internet thru a VPR at my wife's place of enployment. Other than a 2nd computer any suggestions?R

Just set up Apple TV on home network. Works fine for NetFlix but we can't stream I Tune libruary or digital photos thru it to our home TV as because of my wife's work we bypass COX and access the internet thru a VPN offered by her employer. Was told we either have to buy a second computer (two expensive for just these two functions) or keep turning on and off the VPN(not practical). Any other ideas? Thanks

Does she need to access the internet through her employer, or is she just trying to access her internal network at work?
If it's the latter, split-stream VPN clients (like Cisco AnyConnect) will split traffic so that only that directed at a particlar domain gets tunneled.
I have an AnyConnect client at home, but I normally only activate it when I'm using it, so I've never tested it with HomeSharing. I'm currently traveling, but when I get home tomorrow, I'll try it out and let you know if it works. If it does, your wife can check with her employer to see if she can configure AnyConnect to work with them.

CS4: Is it not possible to export States to anything other than GIF?

I see the option to "export states to files," but there's no option to choose a file format other than the pre-filled GIF format. Is there no way to export states to flattened PNGs without going through and saving out each one? If not, I'm going right back to Photoshop and layer comps. If it matters, I'm on a mac.

Even though I didn't ask the question, thank you for this tip, Jim. I was having a problem with gradients banding and I knew the problem was related to the images being .gifs - I just couldn't figure out where to change that.

ICI - How to display custom error messages in SAP CRM

we are working on a custom Contact Center which interfaces with SAP CRM Version 7 with Enhancement Package over ICI.
The basic call functions like accepting, hanging up, holding and retrieving are fully implemented and are working already.
Our goal is to display error messages in the CRM so that clients know there is something wrong, for example why he can't be log in successfully (e.g. the telephony server isn't reachable).
We already found the ICI Documentation file which provides us the CRM SOAP error codes and tried to send SOAP Fault messages, but never got
them to screen.
Please find an attached example screenshot what we mean exactly, reproduced by trying to make a call with CRM user while BCM CDT isn't
running in the background.
Regarding to this topic we've the following questions:
- Is it possible to display custom error messages on the CRM or is this functionality limited to SAP?
- Could you provide us some further information on how to use this feature exactly (implementation details?) and how the SOAP XML should look like to get it work?

In tcBaseEvent class there are various flavors of handleError method. So use that as per my note earlier and you should be good.

But the scenario what I am talking about is different from the one mentioned in the link.
I am using a KM Document iView. In the iView parameter, Path to Document, I have given the path to a document which does not exist in KM.
For example, Path to Document - /documents/Test Folder/abc.html.
There is no document by the name abc.html in KM.
In this case, I get an error called "404 - The requested resource is not available." How can I get rid of this message and show a custom message instead?
Please note that, this message appears at the iView level (and not page level as mentioned in the link)
